Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

Disapointed about some of the names in the frame, Martinez= over hyped, not done a lot in 4 years at Wigan, Poyet and others with no prem experience feel we are looking for cheap option we have come a long way over the last few years be a pity if we don't try to continue.

It is BK, he will go for the easiest and cheapest option

Eds, I don't know if I can post this on here but there's a poll going on at toffeeweb and there's talk of the results getting passed on to BK and/or the club. The more people that get involved, the better as it would be a more accurate reflection of the fan-base. Thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Asif BK or the club would take notice to an internet forum poll

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. BUT he did say he would listen to the fans and seeing as it should be over 10,000 votes it MAY count for something. If they don't send it in then BK can't say they weren't aware of who the fans wanted. Well, technically he can but what harm can it do to send it in.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2013 22:10:12
Here's a scenario, what if nobody outside the club wants the job? Bill needs to act now or we will end up. With Stubbs, Ferguson etc. great players for the club, but could not see them attracting the players we need.

Bk is actually thinking outside Britain and his short list is
Pereira (Porto)
Farve (m'gladbach)
Girard (Montpellier)
Who do you want? Pereira is leading the race as he's free

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Any of those 3 will do, only chance of us going forward, any british manager/someone inside the club will send us south

Agree0 Disagree0

So is Girard, his contract expires next month and he wants to try the PL.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive a feeling Girard might also be free (out of contract). Either way Pereira or Girard I'd be happy with. I've been a massive advocate for Pereira, (TEAM PEREIRA) I really like the idea and think he would suit us. I wouldn't however lose any sleep if we suddenly announce Girard as our next manager. For me it would still show a level of ambition from the club that's far better than some of the other names in the frame!

ed have you heard anything of jelavic being linked with a move to sevilla. seemingly graham hunter been saying sevilla very interested in taking the croatian striker to ramon sanchez pizjuan in the summer. I hope it is not true okay he has not had the best of season's but he is still a top striker and the everton fan's love him. always singing his name even when he not playing that well. {Ed007's Note - His agent has been hawking him around Europe for months now. I warned Everton fans on the day he signed, he would stay for 18 months/2 years and then want out. His attitude is stinking and always has been. Look at his career stats, he gets itchy feet after a while and drifts in and out of the team because he hardly tries a leg. He refused to play for Rapid Vienna to get a move to Rangers and then done the exact same with them, went on strike and refused to play. And he is VERY far from a top striker, he has only scored over 20 goals in one season in his entire career. Everton will be well rid of him, he is a mediocre player with illusions of grandeur, let someone else deal with him.
Naismith deserves a chance to prove himself over Jelavic, Naismith is a far better player and I'm sure if he finds any kind of form Everton fans will love him, he would run through a wall for his team-mates.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You ok Ed? Naismith better than Jelavic? Wow I really have heard it all now.

BitterBlue {Ed007's Note - Honestly mate, he was Rangers best player for years, even when Jelavic was there. I really don't know what has went wrong with him.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 07. interesting point you made about Naismith. I kind of feel cheated by him at the moment. has nt really been given a fair crack and I don't know where he fits into our team just now. but I agree gives 100%just very little substance to date. jlaff {Ed007's Note - I don't watch much of Everton so not sure where he has been playing but playing him just off the front/dropping deep he can cause problems for other teams. At the time he was the only Rangers player I would have 'liked' to see at Celtic.}

Agree0 Disagree0

A lad I went uni with was a die hard rangers fan and has always said naisy is a far better player than jela and doesn't know what has been up with him this season

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with jelavic i'd sell him in a heartbeat, the rumour I heard he was seen out a lot partying and I wouldn't discount that, he's sluggish at best at the moment and he's completely missed the ball on a number of occasions in front of goal, if his heads gone then let him go I say and buy, someone better to replace him

on the other hand naismiith is awful ed, he comes on and looks petrified, he tries to hide in the matchs he's started and was negative going foward. at times he looks like he thinks he's not good and it shows, he has been mostly out wide right but still very disappointing

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed it sound like you have a personal vendetta against jela, did he refuse you an autograph or somthing? {Ed007's Note - I'm a bit long in the tooth to be asking players for their autographs!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007 I remember you saying this when we got both jelavic and Naismith, it's very hard to believe Naismith is a better player but I suppose you must have seen something special because you have certainly stuck to your guns. let's just hope next season we see both at full potential.

SydneyBlue {Ed007's Note - It's a strange one Sydney, it really is. Anyone who watches Scottish football would tell you the same thing.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Sevilla are interested you say? I believe they have a striker themselves who we would quite like and we were ourselves linked to in January

Wouldn't mind seeing Jelavic and a couple mil in exchange for Negredo. Think Negredo is a much better striker than Jelavic personally and fits our style of play better than Jelavic

Agree0 Disagree0

Negredo+cash for jelavic would be awesome although I'd like to see jela get another season. About Naismith lots of Celtic fans in my family and they all say Naismith is 10x the player of jela but not wide right

My gut feeling is I don't think we will be for Martinez as I think something would of happened by now, especially since wigans relegation. Thank goodness for that too!! The man is simply not good enough for everton unless we want to be entertaining the wrong end of the table season in season out.
It's a simple choice for me now between pereira, laudrup, Benitez & di-Matteo, these are all quality men with an ability to win things & take us to the next level. I would like to say that since my last post, I am favouring a move more for 'perreira' - after reading about him I think he could be a perfect fit for everton with positives including no compensation, brilliant tactically, mean defensively, good at developing younger players & has won titles & cups & unbeaten in the portugese league for whole of the current season - are you listening bill kenright? get this man & do the right & proper thing for everton fc!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What a fickle bunch you lot are, Martinez was best thing since sliced bread last week, Di mateo possibly, but no chance with pereira & laudrop because face facts your not big enough club, why would laudrup leave to join Everton, what benefit will he gain?

just looking at the manger posts and have to say I agree with the periera camp, think he would be a great choice, martinez-his record does not stand up to scrutiny as much as I like the guy. poyet or makay not yet convinced. lennon not yet ready for the premeir league, benitez needs money and has said in the past that he could never manage everton or man utd, thankfully. there have been lots of other names linked most former players or members of the current coaching staff of these I believe only bilic is a true contender. but if you want a name from left field with premier league and international experience who was one of the greatest players of a generation, how about glen hoddle. grbefc

I reckon we should steal mcmanaman and mcarthy from wigan, atsu from porto, lescott, fer then one or two strikers, on proven and one upcoming. Also appoint vitor pereira as new boss. COYB

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Serious question for you. Do you think Moyes should 'steal' Fellaini, Baines, Mirallas, Jags? Would you be happy with that?

Agree0 Disagree0

If it was me then these would be assurances that I would look for as incoming manager. I would like to know that I was keeping at least 3 of those names although preferably all of them! Fellaini would be the only one I would contemplate and that would be for a huge transfer fee. More like 30 million rather than the 23 his contract is supposed to state. so that we could use the money to strengthen the squad. jlaff

End of the month, beginning of June. Hopefully it gets done sooner rather than later, like Sunday night-Monday morning but we know BK he'll want to hold out as long as possible to avoid paying any unnecessary wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see a lot of people on hear mentioning all our potential signings and all that, with people saying we should sell Fellaini.

My question is simply; do you guys want to sell Fellaini because of the injection of funds we would get for him or is it because people have some sort of grudge against him? (ie; vs Wigan)

Personally, I would love to keep him as I still think he's a class player and I would hope that investment could come in another form, as I wouldn't like to see Fellaini go.

However I agree with Pereira. Him over Martinez for me, but I wouldn't mind Martinez if he came. Everyone needs a chance.

`I think our triumph is a real shot in the arm for French football. It just goes to show that everyone can beat everyone and that money isn't the be-all and end-all. We're a club of mates, a club that brings young players through and gives them a chance. At the end of the day, it's worked out well for us. We played some great football, with a well-balanced team and I'm overwhelmed. "

Philipp Hosiner from rapid vienna
he is 24 yr old striker from austria he has scored 40 goals and got 9 assists in 44 games this yr and is reportedly available for under 2 mil
am not saying we r remotly linked to him am just sayin we should b lookin to bring players like him in for that price and spend the rest of the money we have available on some other young gems to replace our ageing squad

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Erm, we don't have a manager. Can you see boys pen Bill signing players for us?, I can't!

Agree0 Disagree0

Clearly I don't mean right now am talkin about whoever comes in I don't want them to try and win fans over buy blowing our transfer budget on 1 big name signing then end up having to loan sum players to bolster the squad, we need cheap young players who r going to get better over next yr or 2 ready to take over from the likes of distan osman and the rest off the over 30s we have in the team, we need to look to the future now and add to our impressive youngsters like duffy lundstrum barkly long kennedy pennington garbut and green and think how good our team could become over the next 10 yrs if the new manager brings these players threw and let's the fullfill the potential

How about a fella called Messi coming to GP?
Heard his father in law fought in the Falklands and took one of Bill's nephews as a POW.
Anyway, Bill's nephew developed Stockholm Syndrome and became very friendly and over-reliant on Messi's father in law.
He invited him over to Goodison once the war was over where he met Bill and they developed a firm and life-long friendship.
Messi's father in law then made Bill a promise that his daughter's husband would come to play for Everton as a thank you to Bill for having his sister's boy captured in the Falklands and thus meeting this Argie fella.

Good morning blues or maybe not Lennon is favourite with today.
Lennon 9/4 doesn't excite me

Martinez 3/1 good choice yes doubts about his defence and record but Brenda didn't have great record with Swansea but doing better with better players. In my top 3

Stubbs 7/1 inexperience need a old head with could be good no2

Poyet 10/1 unproven in premier league to much of a risk

Mackay 20/1 unproven in premier league risky

Pereira 25/1 Good credentials no premier league experience personally in my top 3

Laudrup 40/1 only had 1 good season and £10m release to much with not enough experience

Benitez 40/1 best CV out of everyone but can he work with small budget and would he come with his connections with Liverpool and would we accept him. In my top 3

All other candidates are either has beens or in experienced and would need assistance from a director of football.

So either a manager who plays attractive football with premier league experience who can work with low budget.

A manager with good credentials but unproven in premier league and a bit of a unknown.

Or a manager with experience who would probably be everyone's no1 choice if it wasn't for his past comments and being a former LFC manager.
So I ask the question to all blues yes or no could you move on and accept Rafa as our manager because whoever takes charge needs our full backing?

Managers don't need to have prem experience. Saf, Wenger and Moyes didn't before they were appointed

Agree0 Disagree0

But the teams they inherited were not in the same league as they are today. Perhaps with the exception of Arsenal who were competing at the top prior to Wenger getting the job, the clubs were sleeping giants when they took over and the risk of appointing a manager without PL experience then, was less of a risk as it is now. All three clubs are now at a different level. Everton regularly are in the top 6 or 7. How would Martinez, Hughes, Mackay, Poyet, Stubbs or even Big Dunc move us on to the next level or at least maintain a top 6 or 7 finish? If Stubbs or Dunc are being considered, surely it should only be as 1st team coach or Asst Manager? There is only one and Rafa for me I'm afraid. BlueTone

I think the only way you can say he hasn't fulfilled his potential is in an England shirt. Club wise he has won everything going and is the top scorer in fergusons time at united (he's had some steady players in that time too). The winners of the 2012-13 UEFA Europa League are given an additional entry as title holders if they do not qualify for the 2013-14 UEFA Champions League or Europa League through domestic performance. However, this additional entry is not necessary for the 2013-14 UEFA Europa League as the title holders (Chelsea) are guaranteed to qualify for the Champions League or Europa League through their domestic performance. So, England will have three clubs in the 2013-14 UEFA Europa League: Swansea City, Wigan Athletic, and whoever finishes fifth in the Premier League (either Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur). Tottenham Hotspur could finish on level points with Chelsea, but Chelsea's goal difference is currently sixteen better than theirs. Finishing sixth this season - as Everton will do - does not qualify for the UEFA Europa League.
