Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

Wondering if there's an everton interest in any of these players Ed? If not maybe some prem interest, just a few I think are fantastic but possibly under the radar

Andre Gomes (Benfica)
Ivan Rakitic (Sevilla)
Ciro Immobile (Torino)
Leon Goretzka (Schalke)
Memphis Depay (PSV)
Jonathon Soriano (RB Salzburg)
Milos Jolic (Dortmund)
Ricardo Rodriguez (Wolfsburg)
Berardi (Sassuolo)

Some excting players in the mix. Also to add my opinion I would opt for Lukaku over Bony, obviously the age/scoring record (consistent for 2 seasons) but also lots of us wath every min of evertons games but not every min of swansea's games. we notice lukakus touch for example. what i'm saying is bony looks fantastic for the 2 mins we see on MOTD, but everytime I've watched a full game (only 4 times probably this season) he looks lazy with poor movement in my opinion.

Ratic and immobile unlikely

Ive watched him 12 times this season and he impressed every time, his touch is brilliant, his awareness of the players around him is great and his hold up play is top notch, he is very good in the air, links up well and has fantastic technique, all of which lukaku doesn't have, people may say one season wonder and point fingers at benteke and michu, but forget both have been injured a lot this season, bony will be cheaper too and more likely, bony any day

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan, Bony will not come cheap mate. Swansea got him for what, 11 or 12m? After scoring 24 goals (there or there abouts) his transfer value will soar to over 20m easily. Coupled with the fact that he has indicated he is more than happy to stay where he is. If we were to spend that sort of cash then I'd be more than happy to get Lukaku back. Yes, there are things he needs to improve on without a doubt but if anyone can get the best out of him, and improve him as a footballer, then it's surely Martinez. Bony is quality, I agree with you there, but it would be wiser to spend it on the younger player. If Bony had had a couple of seasons in the Prem then maybe but, since he's only had one year, it would still be a big gamble to shed so much cash on him. Lukaku, on the other hand, has been in double figures for a couple of seasons. He also has the benefit of playing with our squad this year. Don't forget he has only just turned 21 and he also had an injury to contend with. Don't be too critical of him, if he was to come back next season then I'm confident he would hit 20+ goals. How many strikers have done that for us in the last 30 years?

Agree0 Disagree0

Question is Everton a step up from Seville? From the players point of view I doubt it myself sidewards step at the best.

No argument from me

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree spudv. If we get the chance I'd like to see Lukaku sign for us permanently. OK so it's going to cost a lot of money, but for his age we could have him for the next 10/12 years.

Agree0 Disagree0

My son has Bony and Lukaku in his fifa 14 team and Bony out scores Lukaku in last 3 seasons he said. Argument solved ;) (joke before anyone takes it serious)

Saul, townsend, hazard, bony, good signs of plenty of ideas from bobbie.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yep but we can't afford them all, and I think we need to get Barry on a permanent contract as soon as possible it seems to be going quiet on that one. The dream out come would be we buy Bony get Lukaku back on loan for another season with Kone to come back. Get a new centre half keep Delufeo for another season bring in a couple of youngsters to the first team and then we should be alright for the demanding season coming up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku or Bony? Let's say they will the have the opportunity to acquire both this summer but it turns out they decide they can only spend the money for one of them. Which one do you choose and why?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bony cause is more of the football type centre forward and holds the ball up very well.

I see this Townsend story is gathering pace but me personally am not a fan of him, he had a couple of good games but no more than that. I Know RM is good however not a miracle worker and don't think he would fit in our fantastic club if true.

i agree, one game vs moldova, literally one game

Agree0 Disagree0

I think differently. He has bags of pace and a good shot. Was understudy to Bale so didn't get enough playing time. I think RM may bring the best out of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with you Degsy he has got massive potential.

Agree0 Disagree0

He had a cracking season for QPR too. But then again they did get relegated.

I hope to god that we really do have a decent war chest this summer and by decent I mean 40 mil plus. Being realistic, United are going to be spending 200 plus, Tottenham will spend big and arguably have a much stronger squad than us already, Arsenal have cleared their stadium debt and will spend big, Liverpool seem to have plenty of money to. Forget about City and Chelsea they have bottomless pockets and I think Chelsea in particular will spend big. All this means we HAVE to spend a fair amount ourselves. We all know we can't compete financially with the above mentioned but we will have to spend a lot more than we have over the years this window AND spend it wisely (which Martinez will) but if alls we have is 15 mil or the likes we can kiss a top 4 assault goodbye for sure. We've said it for years. We just need a chunk of money to kick on. Well this year more than ever we do. United won't be the mugs they were last year, think Liverpool will struggle to emulate this season the same, Tottenham could be good if Levy can get and stick with a top manager and Arsenal will be much stronger for sure. It's vital we at least try and hold on to all those teams coat tails and show some intention and prove we're here to play serious.

I'm not comparing you in size of club but I was reading an article on Southampton, where it was saying about how well they'd done, the great football they were playing and if it was possible to kick on from that.

Taking aside obviously they may lose players, Shaw, Lallana etc. it said that even though they had a billionaire owner they couldn't just go out and blow a load of money and buy a top drawer striker because they too are subject to FFP.

I'm guessing albeit on a larger scale, as I'm sure you'll have more income, will you also not be hampered by how much you can actually spend?

Agree0 Disagree0

How to spurs have a better squad than us only erikson would get in our team and LLoris would make the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need to spend big we need to spend wisely.

We all say this every year that Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, liverpool Spurs Man City are going to spend loads of money so we have to do the same. Year on year we don't and always seem to compete.

Getting the right players in will be more valuable to us that spending it on overpriced players.

Take Spurs as an example, they spent over £100 mil on useless over hyped players and finished below us.

For me I'll be happy if we get a shed load of free transfers and don't spend a penny except on wages but actually are able to perform as a team and improve us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Quinny, sorry mate but Tottenhams squad is bigger and stronger than ours mate with more depth (look at our bench to theirs especially late in the season) and I never said we had to spend big as in 100s of millions I said round the 40 mil mark (some teams spend that on a player never mind a whole transfer budget) and I also said we need to spend wisely. We need to bring in quality to push us forward not a load of free signings? Every team around us (7th to top) will spend a minimum of 40 mil most much more and we need to spend close to that to keep up otherwise we will get left behind there is no doubt about that. Jenny, 40 mil will hardly break the ffp rules doll.

Agree0 Disagree0

They have lots of (expensive) players doesn't mean their any good i.e soldado, lamela, capoue, chadli, walker etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Most of their starting eleven would be in our match day 18 Quinny. Their problem is bad management. If Levy wasn't such a pleb with his own agenda they would be top 4 now for defo. Are you telling me if we made a move for any of their regular starting XI these pages wouldn't be buzzing? They would mate because they are alll quality players without anyone decent to sow the seeds to make them winners. Biggest underachievers ever imo. Some real quality in that squad and more depth than most in the EPL

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2014 21:41:25
We have been linked with townsend, chadli, lennon and dembele, I can assure you the pages were not 'buzzing', lloris coleman jagielka distin baines barry mccarthy mirallas eriksen mcgeady lukaku, bench:deulofeu, adebayor, dembele, barkley, stones, howard and oviedo, I can safely say we have a better team than them, overrated all of them bar lloris, sandro and dembele, walker is carp, dawson and kaboul, lol, rose, pfft, paulinho is poor, capoue, who?, lennon and townsend, haha, chadli, what has he done, lamela, erm yep hes, so good, adebayor, HA, soldado, well he is just brilliant, bentaleb, so good, 6 clubs rejected him, I wouldn't swap our team for theirs, underachievers my rear end!

Agree0 Disagree0

No the pages were not in melt down because the rumours never had any truth in them. Had any of the above mentioned players actually been at Finch Farm then I'm sure the situation would of been entirely different but because they are not then they remain in your eyes rubbish. I often read your posts decimating players, tactics, managers and peoples opinions alike. The way you proclaim that this player or that player isn't fit to lace an Everton players boots and think you yourself never made the school team so that's why you're such an expert at theses things. Truth is, most of us level headed fans would be delighted with any of the tottenham first team as a signing (albeit not a marquee) this season. You keep quoting Lukaku and Delefeu (sp) they are not our players just for the record.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Between Everton and Spurs squads you could probably put together a team capable of challenging at the very top of the league.}

17 May 2014 00:46:29
Yes i'm an expert, i'm replacing hansen on motd, quote me from when I proclaimed myself an expert please? If not please stop chatting rubbish and putting words in my mouth, for the record, if harry kane turned up at finch farm i'm sure most level headed posters wouldn't be buzzing or sat in front of the tele until bank holiday monday, I too have an opinion you know, just because you disagree doesn't mean you have to spout lies to prove a point (believe me all you did was have a dig and repeat about how great spurs are) which still hasn't been proven, now, if you don't want to have a reasonable and sensible debate then good night and I will leave this topic as it stands, if you don't want to continue going on about how cruel it is that I don't like spurs and wish for a good talk then so be it, either way, goodnight, got a reunion with the school team (because you know unless you played at a good level you have no right to speak about football, in fact, don't support a team, find another thing like chess or waterpolo to do because you can't speak about football), hope I play my best so I can at least mutter a breath about football, don't worry my tongue is firmly in cheek

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll just say "yawn" and leave it at that as well. You obviously missed the irony and hint of sarcasm in my post. Also, incase it had escaped you, some of the players you helpfully listed in that squad don't belong to us. Just saying like :/

With the news that Robles is likely to be loaned out next season - either to a Championship side or back in Spain, should we not be lookin at Alex McCarthy from Reading? He looked really useful two seasons ago in that Reading side that was relegated and has continued to play well since.
We know after that calamitous FA Cup performance at the Emirates that Robles is NOT good enough as an understudy to Howard. With Reading missing out on the play offs, do you not think that now would be the perfect time to step in with a bid? 3 million would be enough to capture him especially as Reading are reportedly 20 million in the red and desperate to raise cash.
Your thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree he looked very good a few years back, especially against Liverpool, but he only really featured about 4 times because injury, so it's hard to tell. Plus, he was linked with lots of teams back then, but yet is still at Reading, suggesting he's not improved. Finally, Joel looked good last year, too, and as you said, he's proving himself well and truly insufficient. I wouldn't mind us going for him, but I'll trust the board to decide if that's a good move.

Agree0 Disagree0

But that's my point AB. Under Roberto I believe he would improve. Maybe we could offer Reading a swap deal?

Last time I checked Lukaku's twitter he had Belgian international of Everton and Chelsea as his info, now he just has Belgian international of Everton Football Club with no mention of Chelsea, could this mean anything ed?
