Has anyone realised that if we had got a new manager during the international break, his first home game would have been atalanta infront of hardly any crowd!

Gasperini wouldn't have been a bad shout, then. I actually like him. This go Motta days he learned more from him than from Mourinho, Ancelotti and Benitez. Don't know if he speaks English, though.

I can't understand why everyone is going mental about Vlasic not playing. I understand that he has been one of the few bright spots this season but realistically he's only featured in half a dozen games for us. Maybe he's homesick, maybe he's just not performing in training, maybe where Koeman seemed to favour Vlasic over Lookman, Unsy prefers Lookman over Vlasic. Maybe he just doesn't fit in to the way Unsworth wants to play at the moment. Unsworth is just trying to scrape by until he can figure out what his best team is, something which Koeman (an experienced manager) could not do in 16 games. Vlasic was always signed as one for the future and I believe we have a real gem on our hands. I'm sure he will get decent game time this season under Unsworth or whoever else is lucky enough to manage our great club.

Excellent post mate. This is what I’ve been trying to say for a while now but you’ve put it better than I can. There’s always going to be a player or two that misses out when a new manager takes charge and try’s to find his best eleven. This by no means means he’s been forgotten. Vlasic has been a great signing.

The lad should be at least on the bench. Contraversial but I would start with Lookman and Mirralas on the flanks. Siguurdson in a definite playmaker role (Swansea right or left mid) . I will get slaughtere but Rooney on the bench.

What is it with Turkish clubs that they always want to take a player on loan, Mirallas and Klassen being the latest two, have we not learned from the Yobo fiasco we should stay well clear of loaning players to Turkish teams, stump up or jog on.

To be fair though mate if we get 2.5m mil for half a season and he gets more game time I'd be happy with that.

I get it’s a risk but to be fair some of our best players came on loan before we decided to keep them. Arteta, Peanut and Rom to name a few.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Nov 2017 13:21:51
That’s fair enough but even after playing well they will not stump up the cash even a reasonable amount, I am all for players going on loan, but when they then want to half the transfer fee and pay in dribs and drabs, I am talking £2 Million here not a big transfer fee, but you just know with Turkish clubs, they will piss you about, shaft you and try and get the player for a pittance or extend the loan.

If media are Correct Everton will not get Watford even sip a having his head turned we might see some signs tomorrow in his conference. If we can't get our main target now we should probably appoint us worth because the longer this goes on it gives us fans something to moan about blame the results on and us Everton fans are not the happiest we can't let all this uncertainty creep in and give the anti, storytellers to start a vendetta against moshiri for his really first time at running a club which will have its ups and downs.

Good read ed. Can't argue with most of it. On Keane tho, he started off great for us but has sadly gone way off the boil. Not sure if it's him or because he had to cover for Williams who is shocking. I must say most Burnley fans preferred Mee to Keane and where chuffed we paid so much for him.

{Ed001's Note - wasn't me this one mate, was MK Scouser from the Liverpool site that wrote this one. The autolink just puts it up from me.}

Hi geoffjohno. Thanks for reading mate. I do agree that Keane started well, but i think he's been found out. Teams have started targeting him and I'm not sure he has any answer.

I will add seeing as I'm here, that Holgate, Kenny, Lookman and Calvert-Lewin deserved more chances for England seniors. There was no point including them here as i highly doubt they will get a chance to show what they can do before the World Cup. It's too late now. Definitely 4 players i will be keeping an eye on in the build up to the Euro's in 2020 though. All 4 should make that squad in my opinion if they carry on developing as they are.

16 Nov 2017 23:45:09
We got others too mk. Dowell on loan at forest looks a good prospect for one.
The 4 mentioned should all be there abouts come 2020 but England have great bunch of kids coming through. but we've said that before, a la Gerrard lampard Beckham golden generation.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - England would win the World Cup if they took Scotty Sinclair and Paddy Roberts with them - FACT! :)

Forgot about Dowell. He is tearing it up at Forrest!

I do not think Keane has been found out, he is playing alongside an inexperienced right back, two Centre half’s chopped and changed match after match who are sadly slow and likewise with our leftback, brilliant servent Baines but not the player he was, that is where the problem lies.

You would see a different Keane if he had Funes Mori alongside him or a different centre half, he needs a settled defence alongside him, once we fix that, we will see Keane for the player he is.

Gotta take my hat off to Niasse, just read his interview and all he endured still keeps his head high and smiles. Giving 100% every time wins me over, il be giving this kid a good cheer when and if he’s on at the weekend.

Absolutely BeStryne. His attitude and commitment puts most professional footballers to shame. Pitty they all haven't got a similar outlook to Niasse.

He’s a quality lad is Niasse, shame what happened, regardless of how good he is, never gives up, he deserves every goal he gets.

The lad obviously realises how lucky he is to be a professional footballer and doing something most of us would have loves to have done. Forget the money aspect, i would gladly take the average working wage to play for everton. Its nice to see in this day and age that there are some players still out there who are playing for the love of the game and imo he certainly fits that bill.

I think Naisse should be awarded player of the season already because he is one in a million .
Puts virtually all other footballers to shame .
I never thought I would ever see a player behave as he has done ever again and to do it under so much adversity is truly amazing.

ALL HE ENDURED! . REALLY. this is a guy that gets paid more in a week than most of us earn in 2 or 3 years!

And he hasn't even had to do hardly anything for it. no wonder he's smiling so bloody much!

Listen he's a decent guy in comparison to other footballers and good luck to the kid but to state that he has endured anything. come on give yourself a shake will ya!

Agree1 Disagree4

17 Nov 2017 13:34:36
It’s does not matter how much a player gets paid, no human being should have been treated the way Niasse was, Paying more than what we get in a year is no excuse for a guy to endure that shite dished out by Koeman, disgraceful, have to disagree with you Nev.

I thought Everton where looking to move forward so why would you even
discuss Silva as Manager, he's happy at Watford so if that's his ambition it doesn't say much for him or Watford either, so leave him alone and get someone more deserving of EFC. Bill has to go in order to take the blinkers off to see the bigger picture. Dyche isn't the answer and I'm so pleased that Allardyce no longer wants the job, because there weren't many who wanted him plus it would have been another bad decision from the board. The Board need to take their time and get it right. I'd settle just for three points on saturday that's progress for me. Game by Game at the moment. DU till the New Year.

100% agree. Rhino needs to be given some time. The players are right behind him and I think he needs a fair crack of the whip. All this nonsense about him not playing certain players etc. He sees much more than us on the training field and maybe these certain players ain't performing. For however long he’s in charge I believe we need to get right behind him. He can’t please all of us in his team selections but this would be the same for any other manager also. Looking forward to the Palace game at weekend coyb!

Agree. But even though we are away from home, we are playing bottome of the table. Personal opinion is that if the board are split between Moshri wanting to bring someone in and Kenwright wanting to stick with Unsworth, then this upcoming game is crucial.

16 Nov 2017 12:54:05
Unsworth has utilised what he knows best that has been the U23's and I am impressed the way the young lad Bangingime has stepped up!
However he seems to have dismissed Vlasic one of our better signings and has yet to work out how to get the best from Siggs, also Sandro has been nowhere of late!
If he has aspirations to be first team manager then I'm sure the board will want to get the best from their investments as well as an improvement on results!

16 Nov 2017 15:34:01
I was actually talking about Vlasic wakka and how he sees him and the rest of the players play a lot more football then we do. I’ve also been impressed by him, doesn’t mean he’ll play every game though. Not getting on the lads back but Sandro has been nowhere since we signed him and I’m quite sure if we won a handful of matches the board would be happy with whoever we played as that job is down to the manager and no-one else. Quite sure we’d all select different first teams as well. All my point is (as the OP mentioned) the bloke deserves a run of games.

I understand what you mean dog, but vlasic has performed well in games, It looks like Unsy will get a run anyway as I cannot see anyone near to coming at this time.
