Feel robbed. I have a lot of respect for Sunderland but we were definitely the better team overall and that ref was snidey and I try not to blame refs, but Jesus.

Is it only me who thought cahill was awsome today? not just going forward but he was defensively brilliant, I went to the game and didn't qite take notice about his other aspects of the game today but if you get the chance watch the game on the tv, my MOTM today.
just to all these idiots going mad because we didn't win, we are the better side and we are still in it so calm down, ok the result against the scum was poor but lets get behind the team and stay positive, we'l soon be on our way to wembelly!
COYB!

I think we can get a result at sunderland, we will have gibbo back for the game as well.

Most of the time felli was playing where cahill usually plays and cahill dropped back, I was right behind the goal when he scored, what an atmosphere goodison park rocking!
EFL {Ed025's Note - i dont think felli was at his best yesterday...i think he is missing gibbo big time..
Agree0

And they will have sessegnon and cattermole back {Ed025's Note - it will be a really hard game for us...but i still feel that we will go through..

I like the look of Jelavic. Very game. Wins everything in the air and seems willing to stirke when given the slightest opening. However.....the fact he is so good at winning the ball in air makes me worry that we might see a lot more of the pretty useless excuse for ''attack'' we saw in the last half hour.

i thought jelavic did well today, our problem was too many poor crosses, especially gueye when he came on.
Believable5
Unbelievable1
Nah I thought some of gueyes crosses were good I just think we played too many high balls for jelevic and it was frustrating we need to keep it on the floor much more

whats your thoughts on todays game ed? i though we were unlucky win some decisions and were unlucky not to win with, jelavic, jonny, cahill, drenthe all coming close also there were 2 stone wall penalties, anyway i think the game at sunderland will be different, the pressure is now on them, come on you blues {Ed001's Note - as a neutral I thought Everton were the better team, probably deserved to win and came damn close to doing so. Not so sure on the pens being defo pens, but they weren't defo not either. Would have liked to see that Heitinga header go in at the end, he is a good lad and deserves to be the hero for a change.}

so, how many household name players did o'neill have out on the pitch today?
what would be the total wage bill or open market 'value' of that sunderland team vs the everton team?
who's the better manager - moyes or o'neill?
Believable0

Moyes does not change clubs every time the wind blows ..so no contest ..

Well he did spend a lot at villa probably more than moyes has spent in his career

I'm not gonna complain about our performance today. In fact I thought we played very well. The referee, however, was a joke. Two definite penalties and another that could have been given. They were persistently fouling us throughout the match yet nothing was given for the most part. We picked up yellows for tackles that were barely fouls! I was quite disappointed with Sunderland to be honest. I didn't realise they were such a dirty team. They reminded me of Stoke today.

Overlooking Campbell being hauled down in the box. Also forgetting that 10 seconds before your goal fellani completely took Campbell out. Everton should have had one nailed on penalty. But then again it's maybe our beautifull game evening things up after the penalty you lot were given at our place!

Hi Ed, I've not posted for a while because everytime I read these pages, which is everyday they are full of bile vindictive nastiness and the majority is directed at ourselves.
They pick on players, Moyes,
Bill Kenwright, other fans whichever side of the BU fence you sit on, other
posters and it makes me sick.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but I thought the RS were the enemy not ouselves.
Yes I know we are all entitled to our opinion, I was as unhappy as as anyone after Tuesday and toyed with the idea of asking for a job; via this site; at Goodison or Finch Farm as the only workplace that would be RS free.
But come on Blues, whether it's the cup or the league we need to get behind the team.
We were at home today and Sunderland were out singing us. Whats going on there?
We need to stick together, bury the
emnity and get on with supporting
the blues, it's the gooners next
that's the focus now we need to get behinfdthe team as one.
COYB and IMIT my opinion my stance
I believe in Moyes and trust him to do good things for us. If at the end I'm wrong then I'm big enough to come on here and say so but in the meantime let's stick together

cahill - apart from goal, which he didn't know much about, was poor - he just strolls around the pitch - he's stopped running most of the time - and playing centre mid too - it means we're a man down
without pienaar we look average - all huff n puff - once he's out of the team we have a lack of quality - coleman slightly better than normal but still not good enough - he had a chance to pull it back into middle of pen area but hit it into side netting - poor choice
we need a 2nd linkman striker and a right winger
Believable1
Unbelievable8
I though cahill had a good game today, alot better than his earlier season performances
Agree0
Disagree0
Righto - so when i'm sitting there watching him just walk about the pitch, not even challenging for a ball that's a as close to him as the opponent, dispite being centre midfield and offering no outlet to anyone whos looking to pass off the ball, thats playing well is it?
when judging players people need to keep their eye on them, as well as the ball, to see what they're doing when they haven't got the ball
Agree0
Disagree0
I thought cahill played really well after he scored. thought osman was really quiet though considering his recent form
Agree0

Are you serious?? Cahill has been poor this season, but credit were it's due, he was Man of the Match today!! Him, Heitinga and Distin were our best players today

Agree with those that thought Tim had a good one today. Can only assume the OP doesn't go to many games and hasn;t seen his performances of late.
Hope Gibson is back for the replay.

Watching Bilbao vs United the other night, and a commentator was talking to Bilbao fans about one of their players, Toquero. They described him as "Our version of Denis Stracqualursi." Nice to see the lad getting noticed worldwide for his hard work, maybe an Argentina call-up next? {Ed025's Note - i love the lads commitment and work rate...but that only gets you so far, i think he will have to improve a lot more for that to happen mate..
Believable1

I agree with your shout Ed, but Argentina are very generous with their call-ups, if somebody is playing well, they will get rewarded (see Federico Fernandez and Hugo Campagnaro)

Agree0

Yes it would of been a lot closer i admit if Moyes did not make so many changes but i hope he learns in future the derby is an important game for both merseyside clubs..I fancy Everton to win 3-1 today i've took them in my coupon as well so good luck today hope everyone has a cracking day J4T96 {Ed025's Note - i agree with you mate, for me the derby is very important...bragging rights and all that..thats why it is so important to win today, if the worst were to happen moyes would be in for one hell of a bumpy ride..
