Sure is but Barcelona must be thinking the same as some Spanish papers are reporting ref the buy back clause.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont see it as a worry tbh lancer, he is doing very well for us at the moment but with the players barca have hes not likely to make their squad in the near future mate..

How does it work Ed if the clause is triggered does he have to go or is it down to the players choice?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - as far as i am aware lancer its a 2 year buy back clause, they will have first option if everton want to sell, its hard to get the real facts without actually seeing it in black and white mate but thats how i read it..

link here Ed of some guy off the web explaining buy back clauses,

{Ed002's Note - I will let this go but there are a couple of issues with it - in particular he does not understand the meaning of "i.e." and he uses it where he should use "e.g." - so take it with a pinch of salt please.}

From what I understand off the web it states Barcelona have the buy out clause inserted for the next 3 seasons, good news is that it increases by an amount for each of those seasons, worst case scenario is Delboy becomes outstanding, we enjoy his class for however long we have him then we make a few million, the clause is set in the contract so let's just enjoy the lad and hope he becomes world class (3 seasons from now)

{Ed002's Note - You are all digging yourselves a great big hole with all of this.}

what does Sterling do, can't see a pass if it smacked him in the face, don't get me wrong I've never seen anyone run around waving arms around like a big nancy boy as good as him but how does that actually help any team, Liverpool robbed Man City there, 50 million, he has fluffed a dozen passes in the first half, get him off Woy.

Your analysis there also describes Ross Barkley perfectly.

Agree1 Disagree3

{Ed025's Note - i agree swan...what exactly is his role?, he touches the ball a lot but never seems to achieve anything, and his set piece delivery leaves a hell of a lot to be desired, im not just having a go at the guy for the sake of it, i just dont know what his brief actually is..

Stones should be first choice CB every time now, also Clyne RB, both will be long time pairing in defence for years.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im not a big clyne fan to be honest degs, he has speed but his final ball is woeful mate, and defensively he is poor imo..

like him me Ed but hey we all have opinions, agree with you and Swan on Barkley though, continually sideways and back passes, love to see him given free role and run at them like he used too, think that's gone fom his game now though.

I don't know ed, watching him tonight, lots of fancy touches, too many touches, just to end in a 5 yard sideways pass. Not shocked Lallana came on and went straight to taking the set pieces, Ross struggles to lift it over the first man. Can't defend so not a holding midfielder. Too unreliable to play alongside one player, not intelligent enough to play behind the striker, too slow and predictable to be a winger, poor positioning and shooting so not a striker. It is odd, Alli showed him up tonight by being able to do a little bit of everything. Don't even get me started with how often he loses the ball from simple situations.

On Clyne, I am a fan but only Defensively as his final ball is poor. But the alternative, Kyle Walker, is so much worse.

Can anyone explain why Kieran Gibbs plays for England? I know he's an Arsenal player, but he can't get in their team and he isn't very good. Bertrand, Cresswell and even Danny Rose are so much better.

Maybe it's the managers? When he first played for England he was taking people on and running at them (granted lost the ball at times) and Roy had a screaming fit at him. Now he plays tippy tippy football just like he does for us. Perhaps the lad is just scared to express himself in case he gets another bollocking?

God No. Not Vlaar. Holland has not had a decent defender in years.
