I know its been a long day folks but no baines?

Wooo, have I missed something here? Baines transferred to Utd?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry guys but I'd rather start with eleven, maybe give young Baines a game :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Was Baines was left out as we have such a great record against West Ham, that we think we vcan beat them with 10 men? Over the last 16 matches 8 won 5 drawn and 3 lost. I'd pick him just in case though

Rooney just interviewed on itv. Trying to remain professional but doesn't look too convincing to me. Him and moyes have to much of a chequered past. Looks homesick if you ask me!

ye never know Ox, he may just run his contract out until 2015 then come home, can't see it myself mate but you never say never.

It's not as if he will need the money now is it, I think Man U will offer him another contract soon, I think they doubled his money last time he wanted to go to 250k per week, can't see them increasing that though but they may extend it for 5 years.

To Rooney - just come home in 2015 mate, you can then start smiling again and enjoying your football with people who genuinely love you, not glory hunting southern softies

Just read on tv sport a manc fan sayin utd gone from being no hopers to champions league contenders in the space of 15/20 minutes are these people for real? I can't wait for dithering daves wheels to come off. Sounds bitter I know but who cares after six cans of diesel watchin the mancs hogging itv again.its time for change peeps ha ha

Dammit! was hoping gollums European exploits was going to start with defeat. Oh well.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its not going to happen, let's face it he has the players, the money, there is no way he is going to fail.
Bluenose

Agree0 Disagree0

Still nice to dream though bluenose but to be fair its rvp carrying them at mo. Once he's crocked for a while they will struggle. Good old moyes is bound to upset a couple of them along the way too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well we could finish this weekend above them, early days I know, but the pressure will start to build!

Agree0 Disagree0

Brilliant understanding of the game there bodie. I think you'll find RvP was below par tonight and that Rooney and Valencia (2nd half) carried United to the win. Sounds like your bitterness is getting in the way of you watching the game objectively.

HB

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree to that the strongest side for us and plus a very strong bench Osman pienaar when fit rodes. Stones jelly deulofue Naismith

Agree0 Disagree0

HB I meant rvp in general week in week out not just the game last night. Too much booze last night wasnt really takin notice just fancied a whinge. Oh well off to work again. Not good.

Agree0 Disagree0

No worries bodie, I'd had one too many too so my defensive side came out, haha

HB

Agree0 Disagree0

Am i the only one who still wishes moyes all the best? {ed025's note - no.. theres 2 of you.. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Make that 3. the man did great things for this club and as much as I don't want Utd. to win games, I can't help but want Moyes to do alright there!

Hope we smash em though! :)

aflm78

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't really see what Moyes has done wrong. Once he's at Utd it's all fair game. Whilst he was here he lived to do the best for us. Now he must do that for Utd. But, he paid over the odds for Fellaini and he didn't get Baines and he has always talked highly of everton. No problems

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I agree but bidding for his own players and putting in offers for two of our best? i'm sorry but the blokes lost my respect. he's now a ferguson puppet nothing more.

Strongest Everton. Side

Howard
Coleman
Jags
Distan
Baines
Mirallas
Barkley
Barry
Gibson
Lukaku
MCathy {Ed025's Note - in your opinion!..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

One of Barry, Gibson or Macarthy has to be left out for either Deulofeu, Pienaar or Naismith. Team lacks balance otherwise.

I think that we have more than enough to beat West Ham on Saturday but it won't be easy at all. This is the team i'd like to see come the weekend:

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines

McCarthy Barry

Mirallas Barkley Deulofeu

Lukaku

It was a hard decision between Deulofeu and Naismith but I just feel Gerard needs a Prem game under his belt to show us what he's made of. Don't get me wrong, Naismith rightfully deserves his place in the first 11 and it wouldn't really bother me which of the two started. Thoughts?

BitterBlue {Ed025's Note - i would find it hard to drop naisy, del boy will get his shot, maybe as a half time sub depending on how the game is going, there is a lot of competition within the squad, and im sure ossie will feel he merits a place...good luck with this one roberto..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Completely forgot about Ossie, I'd swap him for McCarthy actually.

BitterBlue {Ed025's Note - Mcarthy cost £15m bitter, not a price you pay for a bench warmer mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Exciting times ahead though Ed, for once we have competition for places and Robbie will have a real selection head ache when everyone is fit. COYB!

BitterBlue {Ed025's Note - i agree bitter, its just who to leave out?..

Agree0 Disagree0

It has to "same again" in my opinion with the exception of Lukaku for Jela.
really fancy us to get 3 points

y viva Martinez!

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't start Lukaku, he will come on after an hour. Although Jela has not scored he worked tirelessly on saturday and also has got nowhere near enough credit for the assist to Naismith.
It will be same team again but McCarthy for Osman with Osman and Gibbo on the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

Lukaku has to play jela isn't near good enough for us I'm afraiid. I'd put McCarthy in for Ossie and Gerard for Naismith

Giot my 5 year old the 3rd kit today. £96! wtf? That's really expensive for a childs kit. Can't believe it's that much!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And only for one season until we get a new badge robbing barstewards

Whats wrong with some of you so called fans, ozzie Has
been a great sevant for us for many years, ok he Has had
a slow Start to the season that doesn't make him bad Player overnight, its only Last season He had a glowing England debut.Has It ever occured to you lot He may Need a break He was almost ever present Last season, get off His Back and give him some Support instead of grief Luke a proper fan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He wasnt good the last couple of months either, and towards the end of the game his performance drops alot, just because he's a long serving player dosnt mean you can not play well and still expect to play, he's at best a squad player and if we had money prob always would of been, he wouldn't get near the a top 6 club so why should he be for us

Agree0 Disagree0

No he has become a bad player over the last 3 seasons. Has never been good enough just that there has never been any one to push him out the team so we have had to make do all respect to him he is a good professional but you can't pick a player just becuase he has been loyal to everton let's not forget he gets payed to play. Osman will give us 5 good games a season and go missing in or have no effect on the rest as has been show in our first 4 games time to move on people Osman is finished

Agree0 Disagree0

Ossie is a good evertonion, who has served our club very well, thought thick & thin, but it is not making him a whipping boy to make the case, that, on present performance, he does not rate a place in the starting 11, the buzz word has become ( competition for places ) well sad as it may be, oss no longer passes that test.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

DM thought he did and now RM seems to be picking him, perhaps there is something in that. While he is in the team support him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't agree, picking ossie on past not on, what does that say to others i.e. Delefoleu, he needs more game time, or we might as well not bothered bringing him here.
Bluenose

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are people compering ossie with good different players different positions when gibbo is fit jmc settles in maybe he will be left out until then keave the lad alone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Osman has just signed an extension to his contract so the moaning Evertonians will just have to get used to him.
Jimmy the Taxi Driver.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leon Osman is a players player, ask any of the player's who play for Everton or anyone who has played the game will tell you that he should be the first name on the team sheet.
Please stop moaning on here or at the game or even in the pub because it's NOT the Everton way.

Ste Old Swan

Agree0 Disagree0

We play played osman against Chelsea for his experiance and keeping the everton spirit on the field we have lots of players who are inexperienced especially for games like Chelsea I would however like to see this team on Saturday

Howard

Coleman. Jagielka. Distin. Baines

McCarthy. Barry.

Naismith Barkley. Delboy

Mirallas

Agree0 Disagree0

Although Kevin did well up front late on against Chelsea, Romelu Lukaka is a must start as striker. {Ed025's Note - i agree fancy..

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats a players player, another football nonsense term, he can't shot has no power what so ever and we had money he would of been more a squad player than anything else, when everyones fit and bedded in he won't get much game time
