If we can keep cahill, arteta, fellaini, saha and jags fit this season then i see us coming top 7 again, especially if some of the youngsters break through this season, we weren't far off top 6 last season despite an injury crisis and i feel if the most influential players in our team stay fit then we will do alright again this season {Ed025's Note - we still need a striker mate,,

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Good point ed, but we could get away with signing just a striker, especially with the emergence of gueye and getting all our players back fit {Ed025's Note - yes...because the nucleus of the side....is very good..

Agree2 Disagree1

Maybe we should get them all on a flight to Lourdes? Cos that's the only way we're gonna keep them all fit. {Ed025's Note - they tried that....but saha..could not travel....due to injury,,

Agree2 Disagree1

Sturridge on loan, job done, then we could just concentrate on next season and whatever we get from yak and yobo we could use for someone like gibson as a squad player for cover {Ed025's Note - i like the sound of that..

Agree1 Disagree2

I agree, most evertonians would be happy with one new face and sturridge would certainly fit the bill, gibson is not a bad shout for cover.

He may have the best interests of the club at heart, but he has proved himself incapable of running this club properly, other than managing to keep our heads above water. Surely we can do better than that ? Clean sweep needed. {Ed025's Note - no complaints from me my friend...

Believable1 Unbelievable1

If a new owner comes in ( not that people look like they want to invest in football clubs now ) he will still have the debt and an old stadium which is in need of work or a new ground as we all know.
I want a change but lots of clubs have been taken over and are worse off now than what they were before the takeover there are very few who have benefited. {Ed025's Note - yes....but would,nt it be fun to try ?..

Agree1 Disagree1

18 Jul 2011 22:23:47
a change seems to be happening at everton. i was a kenwright fan a matter of weeks ago, but i feel like a revolution has begun and that if EFC for change and the peoples group are successful then change could happen soon. COYB {Ed025's Note - i for 1...believe that bill kenwright, has tried his best, and has always had the clubs best interest at heart....but times have changed...gone are the times..when a supporter with limited resources, can run a major premier league club...and this is wht the goodison faithful, are up in arms..

Believable6 Unbelievable2

If we do not sign anyone in this window there will be a big fallout and it will be a very uncomfortable ride for kenwright this season. Everton fans won't settle for second best for our club, but i urge the fans to get behind the blues this season, whatever happens we are all blues and we should cheer the lads on. {Ed025's Note - totally agree mate...respect.

Agree5 Disagree2

I just think its not all bills doing, i think if he had more money behind him he would invest it in players. His main objective at the moment is to have the club not team in a good state to get more investment. I would prefer him do that. Whether right or wrong he still thinks he is the best man for the job, and wont go until that changes. The big billionaire is not gonna happen, it would have happened by now. Besides the billionaire who else is gonna do a better job. {Ed025's Note - i see what your saying.......but if you cant play an instrument....dont join a band..

Agree2 Disagree0

I think it's right that the fans have finally got a voice as long as it doesn't turn into a witch hunt. BK can't raise a fart in a trance but he does love the club, unlike the like's of Ashley or the yanks who nearly sunk the shxte. Evertonians have got a bit of class unlike the geordies or the son's of Shankley...they were burning the stars and stripes outside anfield for 12 months, only to welcome another bunch of US owners..sad red hypocrites. So whatever fate befalls BK it'll be done in the everton way and not the hypocritical red way. {Ed025's Note - are you sure wer,e not twins ?....could not have put it better myself..

Agree1 Disagree1

The big billionaire won't come if the clubs up for sale at 125 million with 49 million debt and a serious stadium issue , if he drastically lowered his price to what we really are worth , like the wolves chairman done when selling to Steve Morgan then we may have a chance {Ed025's Note - good point..

Agree4 Disagree0

BK is only looking after the best interstate of the club, true blue? How much did he pay for the club? He wants to sell so bad for125 and the new owner gets a pitch needing replaced and how much debt? Run an ad stupid billionaires apply contact true blue Bill.

Right now N'zogbia looks a bit out of our reach even if the Yobo deal is close to completed with it looking like 10 million quid won't even get a deal done. However his preference is to come to Everton. He has only got a year on his contract as well. Perhaps he may be prepared to wait until january when he will only cost 4 million pounds i.e. Pienaar and we will then have the dosh to wrap up a deal. It may be worth waiting because I think this squad untouched can still have a good season and it's also due a good first half to the season for once, so imagine a scenario where we are comfortably in or around the top 7 in january and then we get the boost of N'zogbia and possibly Donovan coming in for a loan deal? If we can make something like this play out I in all seriousness believe we could push on for champions league football over the season's second half.
Obviously a lot of massive ifs and massive buts, but I do think it's a possible scenario and worth thinking about. {Ed025's Note - i love your optimism mate.....but in january...if its not going so well...will players still want to come?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

We should be able to attract players of the standard of donovan and n'zogbia, we should be a more attract prospect than the likes of villa {Ed025's Note - the problem is...money talks....and our chairman, is the equivalent.....of helen keller!!

Agree3 Disagree0

I want change as much as the next blue, but it's not as clear cut as "sack the board". The biggest issue we have with Kenwright is around investment, other than that is the club being run that poorly? Moyes, although frustrated, knows where he stands and appears to have a good relationship with the board. What we want/need is transparency, evidence/details of interested parties that have come in and have been shown the door. {Ed025's Note - when you say....is the club being run that poorly?...the answer is YES!! when a club with, our history..passion & support...cannot compete in the transfer market, with the likes of...sunderland..leicester..WBA..etc....then there is something fundamentally wrong !!!..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

To be fair sunderland are only spending a fraction of what they got for selling their best two players, at least we are not offloading everyone like them and villa who have let downing and young go, these teams are only spending what they have received from outgoing transfers {Ed025's Note - well wheres our dosh from the...pienaar & vaughan sales?

No 1 priority is for us to sign a striker... Hope the Bendtner transfer does not go through, I think we can sign a better striker on loan for the same money towards the end of the window. Do we really need any midfielders?

TBH im not convinced we have much money at all. We may bring in a loan or a bargain but we could do a lot worse than save our money for next season. I like Beckford, he'l get us some goals... Magaye Guaye will be used a lot more this season, he looks handy... Anichebe is still there and so is Louis (until the next injury).

Osman really stepped up to the plate at the end of last season when the Artetas, Fellainis, Rodwells and Cahills were all injured at some point (why cant we keep all of them fit at the same time for more than a few games?)

We don't need N'Zogbia because Baines is awsome down the LHS. Also got Billy...

We shouldn't buy anyone. Everton FCs accounts are available for everyone to see on Companies House. We lose money virtually every season. Our Creditors exceed Our Debtors which means we do have debt, and lots of interest to pay. Righ now, our greatest asset is David Moyes. {Ed025's Note - some good points mate.. but also some flaws....moyes is our biggest asset...baines is terrific..and becks will get goals.......but...i think we do need nzogbia......and unfortunately...we do have billy & anichebe..

Believable0 Unbelievable3

It seems clear that if yak and yobo don't leave then we might have to rely on loans. I think we could do better then bendtner as well, surely we should try and get wellbeck or sturridge on loan and surely we could get 7/ 8million together from outgoings to sign a winger {Ed025's Note - i get the distinct feeling, that loans will be our only option...but i hope im wrong..

Agree1 Disagree1

With the current board our financial situation is never going to get better without selling our star names, i do agree with being selective who we sell the club to, as if you look at blackburn they are a laughing stock with their new owners who clearly don't have a clue. {Ed025's Note - people who live in glass houses.....and all that...

rumour going round that baines was called into moyes office a few weeks ago before they went on holidays moyes asked if a bid over 12 million came in would he go with no fuss baines replied that most of the team feel that they could be sold this has come from a local journalist if true this is disgracefull {Ed025's Note - sounds like, a local journalist.....from the...NOTW

Believable0 Unbelievable4

We may have to sacrifice a player like rodwell to move the team forward. It worked when we sold rooney, as long as any money received goes straight to moyes {Ed025's Note - wise words my friend....totally agree..

Agree2 Disagree1

We are overloaded with midfielders now everyone is fit, so rodwell could be sacrificed to use the money for a winger and striker, two areas where our squad is short. We need to sell to buy, but it may work out for us, especially if we could get 5 mill as well for yak and yobo {Ed025's Note - i agree with all that mate..nice post.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2011 21:03:28
if everton get any money from somewhere they will make a 5m bid for Eran Zehavi and a 15m bid for costa {Ed025's Note - sounds good to me....now where did you say ,that money was coming from?..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I doubt it Zahavi just signed a five year deal with Palermo

Just watching Dispatches on Channel 4 about buying football clubs. We might be better off sticking with BK. Maybe it's true that he is seeking the right sort of people. Must be many more of these "Business men" out there Would support a good honest club with a small budget than to be taken over by someone like that. {Ed025's Note - i have to say...i would take the chance, because at the moment we are in limbo. in my opinion we will not progress under bill kenwrights leadership....it is better to try...and fail...than never having tried at all....

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I understand what your saying ed but we must remember what happened to Leeds utd from Champions league to League 1. Also Portsmouth and more recently Birmingham {Ed025's Note - i know mate....but arent you like me...a what if man....i dont want to dream about...what might have been if....i would sooner say.....you know what....we gave it our best shot..

Agree0 Disagree0

Bill is a decent man, but he doesn't have the money or drive to take us forward and it is frustrating as moyes doesn't need vast fortunes to turn us into contenders for the top 4, as previously stated on these pages a winger and a striker could do it {Ed025's Note - i agree mate....i have never said bill was not a good man.....just not a good chairman..

Agree0 Disagree0

Bill took the club away from the clutches of johnson, stabilised us and appointed a fantastic manger, but now his time is up and we need new investment and ideas to take the blues back up with the best teams {Ed025's Note - could not have put it better myself......thanks..

A ex everton scout who is still close to the club has said that david moyes dad has told him that everton won't be signing anyone due to the fact that a 15 million pound debt has not been cleared, so unless we sell someone for big money, there'll be no new arrivals. {Ed025's Note - that would not surprise me......you see.....my girlfriends sister in law..knows david moyes barber..who,s best friends half sister..used to go out with bill kenwrights nans chicken plucker...........who told me.......

Believable0 Unbelievable2

18 Jul 2011 19:55:29
i think if any of are cm players are sold this window we should use half the money to try and get huddlestone from spurs because he can pass ther perfect and effective balls, he can shoot from long range and he is decent at tackling and heading {Ed025's Note - not a big fan really....struggles with his weight...and not very mobile.....a bit like yak

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Huddlestone is a nearly man who has never fulfilled his potential, i would love us to sign milner or maybe take a punt on hargreaves {Ed025's Note - that would do for me.......but owen must be PAYP...

Hibbert and Saha not travelling to the USA, Hibbert due to hamstring injury and Saha is still not fully fit from his previous injury

Just seen the Chelski are planning a bid for Feli's hair, well thats all the 20million thats being quoted would buy them after the red s**te put prices through the roof for mediocre players. For 20 million you get henderson not our feli. However if they were to throw sturrage into the deal with 18 - 20 million ??? this might be a runner. {Ed025's Note - i agree about sturridge.....but i dont want feli to go

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Only midfielders i would let go are rodders and billy {Ed025's Note - billy...i would agree....rodders...only for big money...with the proviso...that this money, would be spent entirely on new recruits.

Agree1 Disagree1

Rodwell should be sacrificed before fellaini, but i would love sturridge, he would be a great addition to our team {Ed025's Note - amen to that..

Chelsea preparing a bid 4 the big Fell also the players who r getting snaped up on free transfers lets be honest if moyes wanted any of them dont u believe they wud come 2 us rather then teams that r goin 2 b relagation material i am as hurt as every other blue at r situation and lack of signings but what happened 2 in Moyes we trust he knows we need numbers and lets b glad he isnt signin people just 4 the sake of it so lets give the blues a bit of slack and c what happens

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I agree, there are a lot of average players changing hands which wouldn't improve us, for me a quality winger and a striker on loan is what our team needs {Ed025's Note - i would be happy with ....just a striker,,

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2011 16:16:23
i think everton should look abroad for cheap talent asia always has good wingers and they would cost under 5m and if we sell yobo and yak then we can start looking

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Moyes knows a bargain and how to turn a player into a star, i trust his judgement in the transfer market {Ed025's Note - i trust him..implicitly..but no matter how good you are....its impossible, to work without money!!..

Big Dunc voted No.1 Premier League Hardman by , they are not wrong, he was even higher than keano

***************************************

Dunc was a hard man. Why Keane was even on the list I don't know - he was just a coward & a bully. I never saw him go near Big Dunc in a game, or Stuart Pearce for that matter. Keane might have been a good player but I hated the man. When we were in for him after he left Man Utd I prayed for the deal to fall through

Toffee Tezza

IM(&K)WT

Believable1 Unbelievable1

KEANE WAS TERRIFIED OF THE BIG FELLA LIKE THE REST OF THE TEAM BUNCH OF WOMAN

Agree2 Disagree0

I always remember a game at goodison a few years ago, keane clattered cahill when they both went up for a header. Cahill had a go at keane and keane pushed cahill, big dunc jogged over and keane literally ran off behind wes brown and darren fletcher. I remember it well, agree with that comment he was a pure bully and coward and hid behind playing on the pitch, he would never act the way he does on the pitch outside
Big dunc was pure tough, on and off the pitch

Agree7 Disagree0

Dunc was a very good footballer as well, he was unstoppable in the air and scored some great goals on the floor as well, he had the knack of scoring in the big games. {Ed025's Note - yes...he was more than just a hard-man...he was a very good footballer..

Even if we get Bendtner what difference will it make?, He won't be able to do jack s**t because all HIS team fans are on his back despite doing nothing wrong. He is a good player, it's not his fault fans dislike him

Believable0 Unbelievable2

He, s a poor player, why do you think Gooners are shipping him out, we can do better

Agree1 Disagree2

Because Arsenal have better players obv, sadly we don't. Bendtner is a decent player, he is still young, better than Yak anyway

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't know why the negativity but i would love for Bendtner to partner Saha up front every week. He may be arrogant but if loaned out, i bet he'd work harder to prove himself. What better options do we have?
Paul EFC

Agree2 Disagree0

C'mon..Bendter on loan is no lose. he may come accross as arrogant but when he gets games he scores. If he stirs up trouble then we ship him back. Im sure the lads here would demand he ups his work rate. Probably just paper trash anyway

Agree3 Disagree0

With the right management from Moyes, Bendtner could get his attitude right, he knows where the back of the net is, he is better than some of the dead meat we have I'd take him on loan

Agree2 Disagree0

I dont think we are in a position to say no to a player like bendtner he is a good player who i thik moyes could defo handle.. but i think wenger will throw jags name into the equasion which cant happen so saying that i think this deal is a non starter

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2011 09:39:56
Lets get yobo and yak out the door and use all our money to go and get Jermaine Defoe, Even if this was our only signing this summer I'd be over the moon as hes a great finisher and just what the blues need..Come on DM and BK lets make it happen.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

18 Jul 2011 08:51:47
After watching the game at Bury, The Yak looked great for the first ten Mins then looked knackerd. With no strikers coming in is it worth giving him another season. 4 mil is nothing in football money these days and if he has a good season his transfer price will double.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

There's his wages to think about tho, we really need him off the books

Agree2 Disagree0

18 Jul 2011 01:19:19
I think we have a huge chance to get n'zogbia, Saha maybe helped bring in a striker

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Villa have had a £10,000,000 bid turned down we have no chance we dont have £10.
