Steve Walsh approached but Leicester refuse as expected, I did not expect for one minute they would say yes ok, the guy signed a contract not long ago so hardly going to let him go without a fight, he would be as big a loss as one of there star players. Now we know Mr Moshri has made a move, Steve Walsh would be closer to home, and a promotion, also there is the added bonus his brother played for us. If we really want him and he wants to come then it will be matter of compensation.

It's the same every year always the last to sign anyone.

For weeks and weeks since this apparent link to Mata Ed002 has said there has been no discussions between Everton and United for Mata. This was a media rumour based on the fact Mourinho sold him whilst at Chelsea and we had money. They put 2 and 2 together and got 112. Whoever our Ed002 is he is seldom wrong so i don't tend to listen to media and use this site as my only source for transfer updates.

last to sign anyone maybe but things are changing slowly and our majority share holder will soon shake things up.

Keep on hearing that Moshiri will 'shake things up'. Koeman signing aside not much shaking going on thus far.

Ed002: your informed views would be most welcome.
I imagine that there are no doubt many reasons why a player may agree to move from one club to another: - for example: more money; more chances to win trophies; playing for a "bigger" club; living in a major city; playing for a renowned coach; playing for their favourite (boyhood) club; and - yet again and as always - more money.
In your experience, what tends to be the main reason (s) why a player chooses one club over another?

{Ed002's Note - You pretty much nailed it Sid. Players look to opportunity, the club, playing at the top level and then the city. This is the attraction of clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal over many others.}

Ed002: Many thanks as always for your informed insight.

I am only the only fan who is miffed about Evertons lack of transfer business? The club promised us an exciting summer and it's been completel dogshit so far.

When I bought a new house I did not expect my Mrs to go out and buy a load of stuff without seeing what was needed first. Same is true for RK, he needs to see what he has got and then go out ant purchase what is needed. I am sure you would be cheesed off if we bought players just for the sake of spending some dosh to keep the fans happy!

At the start of last season most of us thought we had a side good enough to finish in the top 6 if not the top 4 even after finishing 11th the season before.
So throw in a good manager, keeper, CD and cover for LUKAKU if he stay, and we should be in a good position.
No need to blow all the cash until the right players come along.

No one has really signed anyone so far that we have been linked with or at least no one worth buying so no need to panic just yet.

We all need to sit tight and be patient, I'm sure the club are working hard on transfers but it takes time, other clubs are not exactly having players flooding through their doors.
Top players have many choices so their agents may speak to several interested clubs before making a decision.

Reports coming out of Portugal today suggest Everton are on the verge of signing midfielder William Carvalho for €35 million. let's hope so. going to need some strong meds soon and a white coat if we don't start signing someone!

It's getting hard this in it, linked to loads of layers then someone comes in and steals them. Seen it to many times.

Why don't we ever do it easy, with or without money it never changes.

And soli I'm going to be in a padded cell next to u haha.

According to some reports we are rumoured to be unwilling to meet Carvalhos 35 million transfer price. We only want to pay 16.5 million if you believe reports. I wasnt too bothered about the lack of transfer activity while the euros were still going, but with just over 3 weeks till the start of the season the inactivity is a bit strange to say the least.

35 million euro is about 28 million pound. quite cheap for a world class midfielder.

How about City give us £50 million and Bonny and in return they get Stones and Naisse, none negotionable.

good, not what we need, luxury player, I changed my mind on this a while back as initially would have loved him here but not type of player Koeman likes, too slow, too lazy, still class though :)
