Cardozo, nilmar and Owen have all been given the blue light to speak to Everton. Nilmar or Cardozo would be a great partner for Jelly, and Owen a decent backup...yobo And Anichebe look set to leave in coming days, rumpled coming in quick and fast about de Guzman and Martin petrov from Bolton, any truth in them I don't know
What do u think edd???

ToffeeAz {Ed025's Note - in my opinion az...all these names being bandied around, are just that...names!..i expect pienaar, plus a free or two mate..

Im not sure about Naismith, he's only scored 28 goals in 98 appearances for rangers since 2007. That's 28 goals in SPL I had no doubt about Jelavic but I'm not sure Naismith will cut it in the premier league in my opinion we would definately be better off using that money on the likes of dempsey. Thoughts everyone?

AussieBlue {Ed024's Note - Naismith is good and works well with jelavic, but if i had a choice out of the pair i would definitely sign dempsey, because he is tailor made for everton and would probably score more goals than naismith

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Don't forget, he's only 25 mate, he is improving all the time and has scored 9 in 11 this year (in the league, he's been injured) for two million he would be a bargain!
Toffeepidge

Agree0 Disagree0

I suppose at 2mil he would be a bargain as he is a hard worker and if anyone could get the best out of him it would be Moyes but I still think Dempsey is a must. Would love to see Jelavic, dempsey, Donovan and pienaar what do you fellas think the chances are?

AussieBlue {Ed025's Note - not very good to be honest aussie..i think dempsey would command bigger wages than we can afford..

Agree0 Disagree0

I suppose looking at the players we have released wouldn't have made a huge difference to the wage bill but we can always hope. What do you see happening ed?

AussieBlue {Ed025's Note - pienaar and a free or two mate....and im quite happy about that..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm thinking the same got a strong feeling that this might be the time Owen comes in surely he has to be realising he isn't in the position now to demand his high wages I have mixed emotions I think he could be a handy squad player who could net a few in cup games but I think Saha would've been better for that

AussieBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Righto Ed this is getting weird, not sure why anyone else would use the name if theyre just making general comment/questions but someone seems to be doing so!

The Real AussieBlue {Ed001's Note - best thing to do, is to put an identifier in the email address field, doesn't necessarily have to be your email address, just something to identify it is you. Then, any posts signed Aussieblue that don't have it will be deleted.}

i think its a real shame about drenthe and stracqalirsi but drenthe has only got himself to blame. shame cos i thought he was a good player. i personally would have kept the straq. but along with mc fadden thats only jelavic and anichebe left. i think vellios will go out on loan. so we must now try and bring in a striker. funny feeling it's going to be owen. Our neighbours really are a laughing stock. But what cheek they have in asking various clubs permission to speak to their managers. Usually if a club approaches another, then that manager will always sign.

Well done to Rodgers for sticking two fingers up to their disrepectful attitude. lets hope they approach Mick Mccarthy or Steve Keane next and get KB'd again. Now that would be comical.

On the plus side we have released 6 players early so need to recruit early. Earlier than the last day of the window!. CzechsHand. {Ed024's Note - Steve kean is too good for liverpool

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I'm blue but just sum up most of the evertonisns small minded ways! Just cos the RS approached various mangers and got knocked back doesn't mean it's embarrassing it just shoes good business sense, which by all accounts is why they are there 'to manage a business' we have to look at the bigger picture these days and move on our insular little local attitude!
WHNC

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought the attitude of the fawning local media was a disgrace like "how dare Rodgers say No!". Radio Merseyside in particular couldnt get over it they had to make up excuses and reasons, patronising b*****ds. {Ed025's Note - i have no problem with our guys giving the R/S stick...imagine if the shoe was on the other foot?...those vampires would be whooping it up big time, so my advice is....never give up the opportunity to kick them, while they are down!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed24, you are a NOB, Steve Kean too good for Liverpool??

Your team had a great season because you finished above your nearest rivals who had their worst season for decades, what dire targets you have!

Without Moyes you would be up the swanny, he has been outstanding for years but again, his achievements are measured on finishing above LFC, no trophies to speak of.

Moyes will one day be offered a more high profile position with another club, and rightly so, this will prove to be a very testing time for your club and lets face it who would relish the chance to come to EFC with little or no money to spend, probably Steve Kean or the like who you say is too good for Liverpool. Your mockery will come back to bite you one day.

We will not give in until we are successful again unlike your own supporters who have given up all hope of the success you had in the 80's.

Here's to next season, see you there!

Big Bill LFC {Ed025's Note - you reap what you sow, big bill...we have been the butt of your vitriolic abuse for years, and now you are calling for a ceasefire!....on your bike!..

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the arrogant asumption that any manager wants to drop everything just to come and manage liverpool no wonder you're so popular with other supporters {Ed025's Note - and now they want to play nice!...

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not assuming every manager should drop what they are doing, we are merely trying to get the best manager for the job, or at least trying to get an idea of ho would be interested.

I am not calling for a ceasefire, I like the banter, I just couldn't let your comment go without reacting, nice one Ed 24

Still a NOB tho :)

Big Bill LFC {Ed025's Note - ed 24 is a nice guy bill....but im glad you realise that your in for a bumpy ride..

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said ed 024, liverfool are a laughing stock now, have you noticed ed that lots of other teams hate liverpool now??

Ste EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Pep Guad, Mourinho, havin a laugh Koppite, Brendan Rogers blew you out, you will never win the league again, yet again yournew owners will sail you up the swanney and sell you off to someone again, Koppites think they deserve everything, welcome to the real World, oh yeh you are the nob

i dont see why everyone wants dempsey he's going to be 4 million+ and he's 29 too many older players in our squad already and too many youngsters not enough 23-27 year olds..

Believable1 Unbelievable6

Dempsey is only 29, he would have at least 3-4yrs left at the top, that is more than enough for our youngsters to develop, then when he decides to retire, the likes of Barkley and Green will be ready for the rigours of the Prem League.

We need someone who can play in behind Jelavic, here is a lad capable of doing this, and has scored 22 goals this season! And he is only 5-6mil, I don't care what anyone thinks, we would be stupid not to take him.

I mean, 2 potential 20 goals per season players in the one team, when we have been screaming for ONE for years.

Everton have released six players after their contracts expired.

Players leaving include James McFadden and Marcus Hahnemann, both of whom arrived during the 2011/12 season on short-term deals.

McFadden made eight appearances during his second spell at the Club while Hahnemann was an unused sub on a number of occasions.

Those players are joined by a number of Everton youngsters who are also moving on having never made a first team appearance.

Goalkeepers Adam Davies and Connor Roberts, defender Aristote Nsiala and winger Femi Orenuga have been released.

In addition, Denis Stracqualursi and Royston Drenthe's loan spells will come to an end on June 30. Stracqualursi made 28 appearances and scored three goals while on loan from Tigre. Drenthe played 27 times and scored on four occasions during his loan from Real Madrid.

A number of scholars have also been let go, with Jordan Barrow, James Fitzgibbon, Ben Heneghan, Ryan Higgins and Adam Thomas all exiting.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I'd sooner have kept Hahnemann and got shot of Mucha - the guy's a clown! BlueTone {Ed025's Note - i agree with you mate, if anything happens to tim howard..then god help us!..

Hi Ed, What are the chances of young Hallam Hope getting some game time in the premier league next season? he looks a real talent from what i can see on youtube and in a few years he could develop into a brilliant partner to jelavic {Ed025's Note - a very talented kid, i would love to see him get a shot, but whether moyes sees it the same as me , idont know.....but suspect not..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

He also won the academy player of the season so he must have some quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough then, he has put in good performances in the reserves and is scoring fairly often. Maybe a little bit overshadowed by Ross Barkley, could possibly be a secret weapon for us

i have an open mind about rodwell, but if he stays this is a make or break season for him ( wella ) {Ed025's Note - i think you underestimate our young guns wella..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I think you are overestimating the squad size as well. If you cut loose that many players, we'd only be able to recruit 3 or 4 players with the funds raised. Then we'd have a really skeletal squad. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not saying get rid of all them players he's saying he wouldn't care if any of them left the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree about Rodwell wella. I'm 50/50 with him, if he was sold this summer for a decent fee i wouldn't be bothered.
If he stays then great, he does have potential, but this coming season is time to prove his potential after all he will be turning 22 soon

None of the players released were first team regulers so what difference does it make

Robbie savage = 100 % nob

If the crap I read in the mirror yesterday didn't get my back up, now the blonde bimbo has mentioned Moyes to move to the dark side in his effort of information dribble.

I never used to mind him, but something's are best left unsaid mr bimbo! You know the score, so why oh why!?

Believable7 Unbelievable0

ROBBIE SAVAGE IS A 1000 PERCENT NOB

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

It seems to be a recurring theme with robbie savage to try and get moyes out of everton - why? it's all he sees to say most of time - is there some 'background' issue - other than that he's just probably quite thick and only knows a few things to say about each club

take a look at the turmoil over the park.......
this all adds credance to BKs reluctance to sell to any old knob.
all you BK bashers please bear this in mind as I dont want our great club in the hands of some foreign investor who f**ks up all the good work DM and BK has done.ok we run at a £5m loss per year but thats buttons compared to others and compared to the asset rich 1st team sqaud we have and the young talent coming through eg barkley, green, garbutt etc.
all this will show when FIFA fair play comes into force next year and we will be in a reasonably stable position compared to alot of others.
please be careful what you wish for and have faith and patience in Bk he won't sell us short hes a fan like you and me.
as we speak Brendan rogers won't even talk to the sh**e, oh its great to be blue at the moment and long may it continue
just one more thing, why don't we go for danny simpson at Newcastle, he's decent, very quick and wont sign contract.hibbo isn't getting any younger.

I wouldn’t mind both park and owen,as long as Baines has nothing to do with the deal.

Ste EFC {Ed025's Note - park would be good..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Dont you rate Owen Ed? {Ed025's Note - i just think that his other interests outside football are a big distraction, he has seemed very content to sit on the bench for a long time, for me, if the passion was still there, he would have moved a long time ago..

Agree0 Disagree0

18 May 2012 10:01:05
I'm not going to guess about signing specific players since I have no clue Moyes' budget, but I would love to have any of Dempsey, Pienaar or Donovan. I think Dempsey will be too expensive and he'd rather try to go for someone already guaranteeed for the CL next year. If Tottenham sell Modric and/or make the CL they will need the depth and I think they'll keep Pienaar. I think Donovan would be most likely and would love to come over but, that is all in the MLS' hands and they could jack up the price unreasonably high.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

18 May 2012 09:59:45
Sign a RB. This is the position of greatest need for us in my opinion. Neville and Hibbert are serviceable and their leadership and versatility would still be needed but they are on the downside of their career and if we added someone with pace and a better crossing ability our attack wouldn't be as tilted to the left side. {Ed025's Note - a RB would be good, but hardly a priority...for me, pienaar and partner for jelly is the priority..

For all those supporters who continue to bash the Board some facts & comments;

1) Who would want to be run by FSG = no clue
2) In the recent World Richest Poll - on the planet you have just over 1200 Billionaires - so finding one to burn £1bn is going to be a challenge
3) 18 Championship teams are currently 'close' to financial collapse

Yes I agree that £30m plus every year would be great but I do not want to end up like: Rangers, Portsmouth, the RS....

Win a trophy and then go into administration.

Time to back the team, Moyes, make the club an attractive proposition.

Not a rumour but wanted peoples thoughts about selling off some fringe players including current to free up vital cash to fill the voids we currently have:
Cahill
Rodwell
Yobo
Anichebe
mucha
Silva

I really would like to see Cahill & Rodwell leave but feel they currently would have the least impact on the squad.

The differnce to the side actually having attacking players available was so good o watch the seccond half of season. Was thinking that sort of clean out should get us around the 20 Million mark... Surely then we can get ourselves a seccond striker, a couple of wingers, a right back & if there is any change a central attacking mid.
I really don't believe we need to invest any more than that to challenge for Europe.. {Ed024's Note - Top 6 should be a realistic aim for next season

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Benfica want silva could be used in leverage for cardovo would love him at everton

Agree0 Disagree0

I really rate Rodwell when he overcomes his injury problems he will be a top class centre back england's first choice in a few years.Do you really think we should sell Rodwell Ed? {Ed025's Note - no i dont mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Cahill= will retire with the club and deserves it. Should be used as a impact player next season, similar to big dunc in his last season.

Rodwell= not bothered if he goes, not bothered if he stays.

Yobo= will be going this summer 100%

Anichebe= need to sell him, Moyes seems to rate him and always saying he is still young, he's 23 now, will turn 24 in december, no signs of getting any better, championship player at best.

Mucha= he will be gone this summer he has already asked to leave according to the Liverpool Echo

Silva= Apparently Benfica want him. {Ed025's Note - tim will be going back home, i am told..

everton are trying to fast-track joseph yobo's transfer away from goodison park for good for some important funds even though he is contracted till 2014. he is valued around £4m. no specific teams mentioned to whom is going to but they are either from germany, france or turkey.

Ok, i know we all want Peanuts back on a permanent deal, BUT i do not think it is going to happen. Firstly his final interview on Everton tv was far too emotionally charged for it to be anything other than a final farewell. The lad was crying. Now if he was simply going back down south to pack up his things to come back why would there be any sadness? Secondly rumours are already starting to come out about other clubs, this will equate to a bidding war which we know we will not be able to compete in. Thirdly even the official Everton website is showing in their what the papers say section an article about Pienaar going to Sunderland. They do not have to show what every newspaper says and they put that there on purpose to begin to soften the blow to us lot.
I am a true believer in never putting all your eggs in one basket, Pienaar was amazing on this recent spell but i was not his biggest fan before his return, felt he was too light weight and lost the ball too often. He has changed my opinion of him recently BUT there are other players out there. The club will not drop to its knees if we cant get him. As fans we should certainly not sulk and throw our toys out the pram if we do fail to get him, it is this type of atmosphere that makes our starts so bad, im sure of it. We put too much emphasis on the money aspect of our club and not enough on supporting who we do have. Lets not get too down if we dont get him and lets try and be glass half full fans rather that the traditional Everton way of beuing half empty. Turn negatives in to positives and let things go.
ps i would love Peanuts back im just preparing for the inevitable.

Svenny {Ed024's Note - He was emotional because the club means so much to him, i still think he will be in a royal blue shirt next season

Believable4 Unbelievable4

ED - i agree the club means a lot to him, but if we were going to sign him i think he would know about it, and i therefore dont think there is too much to get upset about. I think he has been told and knows that the likelyhood is Spurs will price him out of a move to us. I do hope im wriong but at the same time we do not want to be come a one man team and should not go in to a bout of depression if we cant get him.

Svenny {Ed025's Note - i will be depressed if we dont get him svenny, he makes such a difference to us..

Agree0 Disagree0

Player power, that's all it's about, he simply refuses terms with other clubs, he states to spurs he is only open to a move to everton, that means they have to try and get what they can from us, it's all down to peanuts to apply some pleasure as well. And everton what the papers say, refers to any article that mentions everton, nothing ment by it, just saves the fan buying every paper were mentioned in, it's keeping the fans informed of the crap tabloids spill out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Player power poster is spot on

I've said this a number of time - If Peanut wants to come here he has all the power, not Spurs or Hawwy.

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Its simple if he really wants to come back he is the best person to make it happen. I wasn't a huge fan either before he left but I noticed when he was gone, he brings out the best in other players especially Baines. Let's just hope the club means more to him than money and he pushes a move through

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers degsy, but you disagreed with my Robbie savage post haha, it always been player power, we should all know that by now, clichy, nasri, lesscot to name a few. Peanuts puts his cards on the table, then spurs have no option, unless they plan on keeping him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with Degsy there. It's player power mate, doesn't matter if Sunderland or QPR or whoever other teams that are being linked with him offer a couple of million more than us, if Pienaar tells Spurs he wants to go to Everton like he did in January then Spurs have to listen to offer, if there not happy with are offer and refuse to let him go, then they have a unhappy player in the squad refusing to play and picking up 70,000 a week so it's there choice! {Ed024's Note - Pinaeaar will be a blue next season in my opinion, he has played his best football at goodison and he loves the place, he will also be aware of the potential of the current squad

Agree0 Disagree0
