Big dunc is back at everton in an unofficial youth coach role! :-)

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I heard that too. I believe he's been working with Vellios and Denis to advise them how to use their height effectively.
Lets hope he doesn't tell them to simply throw people to the ground!
I hope we're not gonna be playing the long ball all the time... if so, someone needs to teach Jags how to do it!

I think we'll see Vellios from the start on saturday instead of Saha, no change apart from that though. He surely can't go another week without starting velios, everyone is desperate for him to get a chance

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thats a good start but i think moyes needs to make atleast another two changes! Leave out cahill and osman bring in bily and drenthe! Its no good starting vellious if he isnt going to be getting any service, wont do him any good and wont do everton any good! {Ed025's Note - ill tell you whats doing everton no good....playing negative football!...david needs to get a grip, and listen to the faithful, we dont want to see boring football every week, we are known as the school of science, lets show it!, for gods sake we should play 4-4-2 and take the game to teams, to be honest, his body language stinks, and if this dross we are watching continues...i hope he goes, i never thought i would say that, but enough is enough!..IMW..dont.T

Agree1 Disagree0

Totally agree ed! Our football is very boring and predictable, needs to change! Moyes is beginning to get on my nerves!

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed have to agree with you. Moyes before every game puts our team down and praises the opposition !!!
If you want to drain confidence from your own player's then Moyes is the master at that !!
We don't even need to play 4-4-2...... even 4-5-1 can be attacking if you play the right way.
This negative and boring football we have played this season is not good enough

Agree1 Disagree0

Remember last season? dross football and really struggling until Cahill went walkabout with the aussies for a month - then we started scoring and winning - it's not rocket science

he likes cahill and coleman and that's why we're crap

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree ed moyes should go and anceloti should come {Ed025's Note - its change im after mate...i want to see smiles on players faces(and the manager) and i want to see attractive attacking football, and to hear the good old goodison roar...if moyes can bring that, i hope he stays..

Wins against Fulham and Chelsea and we'll all be talking positively about our chances in the league and a possible trip to Wembley. I don't think we need to panic. We're investing in the future here. We may have two of the best english talents under 18 years of age at the club in Green and Barkley for all we know. We have a relatively talented bunch and can really see us making a fight for a top half finish

No matter what most of saying (which i agree with) Moyes simply has his favourites in the squad and more than likely will have the same side starting against Fulham.
If there is a change it will be Phil Neville, possibly in midfield.
I do thing Drenthe and Vellios should have more game time. Drenthe offers pace and creativity which we are lacking and Vellios has showed he can score which we are lacking !!!!!!!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Drenthe and vellious have to start now, moyes must see that cahill and saha no longer works,

Mcfadden ?? Really ? I don't see the point apart from him being an extra body that can play in 2 positions (left and upfront) but to be honest we have Gueye, Drenthe, Bilyaletdinov, Vellios and Straqualersui that can play were Mcfadden can play and i'd rather give them young lads a go instead of Mcfadden !
Only plus is that it is another experienced striker i suppose but im not sure about this from moyes

Believable1 Unbelievable1

We're turning the YMCA of football... Taking in players that have no place else to go! What a kind club we really are...

Agree3 Disagree1

McFadden to come on with 10 minutes left against fulham and score a stunner to make it 1-0 to Everton after a hard fought war of attrition between the two sides. {Ed025's Note - when we are being put in the same bracket as fulham, its time for change!

I think moyes should think about dropping jagielka, saha and cahill possibly osman, and start with vellious, drenthe, bily and heitenga! Everton are becoming very boring and predictable to watch, need to inject some grit, youth, pace and creativety into the team.
Heitenga will provide the tough tackling, drenthe pace, vellious youth and bily can be the creative influence we need! I see no reason why he cant try this at fulham! The current system isnt working and were conceding alot of goals and offering very little going forward! Drenthe has shown that he likes to run at defenders and velious has shown that he knows where the goal is, i think he has played a total of round 60 minutes for everton and has scored two goals, its simple he has to start! Come on moyes sort it out!

Mixed responces on the mcfadden news! I personally think its not a bad deal, didnt cost anything, he is very experienced in the prem, i wtched him play for the brummies before he got injured he has a few tricks and likes to shoot and having someone who can play upfront or on the wings will only make the other lads up there game, he will provide decent cover for injuries! Have to remember we have a tiny squad so fadders will help us out till january (i think we will be making more additions) so lets see how he does before we start questioning the decsion to bring him back! But i will be very dissapointed if he get a start over vellious or drenthe! My team for fulham.
Howard
Hibbert heitenga distin baines
Gueye fellani rodwell drenthe
Bily
Vellious or vellious and saha up top!

Subs. Mucha jags osman cahill saha/bily barkley denis

Moyes has to atleast consider dropping the non performers, need a mix up!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

That is exactly the team I wish to see against Fulham.. At least some of our beloved fans have brains, can't say the same for the club itself..

ToffeeBoyJack. {Ed025's Note - well said jack!

Quote from Moyes (On Barkley),

"If someone comes for Ross I've always said it it's expensive to buy off Everton. If you're going to come and try to take our better players we don't sell cheap, that's for sure.

"I'm sure the bigger clubs will be looking at him, but we've no intention of selling. I think we've got the team to carry Ross. The club is in a much better position (than with Rooney)."

A couple of things Mr. Moyes....Firstly... With comments like that it's clear you're going to sell him. You're just trying to bump up his price tag!! Secondly..... If he is one of our better players, why the f**k don't you play him!?
There are many more points to be made on this but I'll leave the rest up to you fellow blues....................

Believable3 Unbelievable3

He also said sice he lost his two years of developement to injuries he needs as much reserve matches as he can first which is understandable, but i agree that he is saying these things just to add his price which is sad

Agree1 Disagree0

Oh shut up moaning will you! So now you can read minds through newspaper quotes? You both sound like friggin kopites!

Agree0 Disagree2

Can't read minds, but I can read. They're quotes pal! Moyes contradicts himself even if the interview is edited... We're not selling him but if we do he's expensive. Wink, wink.... As for moaning... Everton fans have things to moan about, just have a look at the rest of the posts. I hate to break it to you mate but were not winning the league.

McFadden has signed according to the Sky Sports website. He has signed until the end of the season. I personally think he is shockingly bad but he does give us another option up front, too a certain extent anyway. What are your thoughts ed? Anyone no of any takeover rumours? They have gone very quiet over the last few weeks.
Alan.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Takeover rumour, I have one. I have it on good authority that around season ticket renewal time news will break of a possible takeover by a billionaire Saudi prince. You heard it here first!
