I can't understand why, a referee as to be on the pitch. how can a 40 yr man keep up with an 18 year old. they could rule the game from the stands with help of play back evidence we all now the game is getting faster it would rule out corruption be more honest over to you tom efc
Then you'd get football games lasting as long as US football games, besides football is subjective, so a man in the stands isn't necessarily going to give a different decision, he'll just have a better angle and replays which, as I said, would spoil the game's fluency, last a lot longer and take away the talking points.
Also, why can't 40 year old's keep up with 18 year old's? I personally know 60 year old's who run several marathons a year.
Never going to happen, refereeing like that.
