watched the under 21s earlier on the tv,the kid Holgate we signed from Barnsley looks a very decent prospect, looked very comfortable defending and on the ball going forward.

More than decent - although he made one mistake his movement, vision and comfort on the ball was a class above everyone else. Players with REAL potential always have a little longer to look up and don't look rushed - he will be the real deal.

Cannot see Stones going anywhere.
Local Everton artist presenting him with pic of his first goal for blues on web
Surely he would shy away from such things if he had any intension of moving on?
But (there's always a but) remember Roo 'Once a blue t shirt?

Well played our Under 21s coming back from 3-0 down to 3-3 against Liverpool. Despite giving away a penalty I thought Holgate looked really good. Comfortable on the ball and willing to carry it. The rest of the lads did well too, good comeback. Kidstanbul.

I would now imagine Chelsea will agitate things by getting stones agent to get him to put in a transfer request although at no point has the lad says he wants to leave.

Hello Ed, seen the reports on tele this morning about Gibson and if it's true would this be his Everton over taking into account he is always injured anyway?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - that will depend on the powers that be at the club 73, but i doubt it would end up costing him his livelihood mate..

19 Aug 2015 18:07:27
Sure berahino got done for the same thing he was playing for England shortly after, not sticking up for drink driving but with the amount time he's spent out he's prob had enough

Big hand to Naisy for his charitable donation of 72 tickets to out of work supporters. The guy is a true gent, respect.

Few rumours doing the rounds this morning.
Several sources reporting a fee for Mori has been agreed with River Plate - just hit in the Argentina squad - bargain at 5.5 mill. Good business if we can tie it up.
Still some reports about that we're close to tying up a deal for Song from Barce. At first I thought we don't need him - but if Gibbo is off and one of our central 3 gets injured - what a great player to have in the squad - comfortable in an attacking or defensive role.
A few murmurs that Chelsea might throw Moses into the deal to get Stones - we'll take Yarmalenko instead please! Keep Stones - buy Mori, Song and Yarm for 25 mill and we'll be set for a solid season! COYB!

{Ed025's Note - sounds good to me JB..

Always concerned about defenders from Argentina and country's like that defending in those league is one thing but premier league is different kettle of fish even European defenders struggle, but won't judge till we see, please don't leave business to last 24 hours deadline day don't mind a loan signing but want defender and no 10 role sorted asap tough period coming up if we can come out of this next 6 or 7 matches with decent point tally this could be massive for our season not only points on board but the confidence it will bring will be huge

Well it loos like Citeh are about to spend 30 million on one so they can't all be bad. let's hope he works out. COYB Big week for us on and off the pitch, let's hope we're all still smiling at the end of it!

No time for drink drivers. Gibson it was a pleasure all 12 games you managed to play over 3 or 4 years. Goodbye

Absolutely agree Sven, no excuse for drink driving especially when you are on £50,000 a week, won't have been the first time either, had loads of respect for the guy before this, get rid asp

Hope he gets the book thrown at him no time for drink drivers and hope the club sees this as gross misconduct and terminate his contract. Freeing up a wage to

What a bunch of sanctimonious people. No excuse for drink driving agreed but what the hell has a persons wages or trade got to do with it.

19 Aug 2015 08:17:42
Got to agree with Dunc, no excuses whatsoever for driving under the influence. He will be sanctioned by the club and by the police but to terminate his contract would be a bit harsh, at this moment in time at least. Would some of you be asking to terminate the contracts of more important players if it was them in this position?Free up some wages after all! Let's hear the facts before having the public hanging

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Aug 2015 08:40:18
I agree he has not killed cyclist he will get fined two weeks wages I think

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Aug 2015 09:18:40
I think it's more about what he could of done! Drink driving is unforgivable could of just as easily wiped out a family! The fact that he knowingly got behind the wheel while drunk is enough for me to get rid! That's if it turns out to be true!

Agree0 Disagree2

19 Aug 2015 09:47:04
Dunc

how much was a taxi???

Thats why I mentioned wages, it should have nothing to do with his job role and unless his job involves driving of a professional nature then he should not get the sack

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its a fair point degs..

19 Aug 2015 11:34:35
Of course it's correct to terminate his contract these are players that the young'uns look up to. When these players sign for a Prem league club they know they are in the public eye and have to be squeaky clean, get rid.

Agree1 Disagree1

19 Aug 2015 13:45:21
Lancer have a look at Spud and Duncs emails mate

Can you honestly say hand on heart that if this was Stones, Lukaku or Barkley that we should terminate their contracts

they aren't role models any more mate, them days are long gone, kids nowadays just want to be like them because of the ridiculous wages, there are very few who do good deeds now, I salute you Naisy, top man as always

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Aug 2015 15:36:31
Murf I respect what you are saying

My point is drink driving is a crime as well as leaving the scene of an accident it will do us no favours if we keep him, opposition fans will destroy him as well as some of ours I suspect best course of action is to get rid.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2015 17:17:30
Could it be that Gibson has a drink problem anyway over the years, and if so could this go towards explaining his bad injury record. Also why hasn't someone at the club recognised this if the case. Why did Fergie get rid of!
