I keep seeing reports that state Howard is now viewed as number 2 by Martinez!
Does anyone know if this has been said at a press conference or just lazy reporting because he hasn't started for a while?

I for one am hoping Robles is now number one, we need a good look at him before the summer to know if he can cut it!

It's definitely lazy journalism from what I've read. Martinez has not said anything to imply Howard is now number 2, journalist just adding 2+2 together and coming up with 5.

Sorry fat fingers. I think we will win tomorrow 3-2. Both sides will go for it but think our quality will show. Got a cheeky feeling funes mori will score.

I think we'll win also. No matter what way you look at it the 3 - 3 draw was a freak result.

2 - 1 for me. Also loving the positivity on here today. Fair play to all posters today who contributed. let's hope it continues. The longer the better. We should be happy anyway the future is bright. The brightest it's been in a long long time.

Must admit although our form resembles a roller coaster and we all get frustrated with substitutions and tactics. I have said before that I am willing to grit my teeth and hold on for the ride. I don't think we'll be relegation candidates with players we have and can recruit. Players seem to like playing for Bobby and we have scored a lot of goals.
We do need to be a bit more secure at the back. Maybe if Bobby went to garlands, he would block the back door a lot more. Hahaha.

Anyway I digress.

Agree with a lot of posts today our fans have bin poor this season we need to get behind the team until end of season still lots to play for imo few wins is all it takes fifth place still up for grabs.

I've just read a little interview there with desperate dan (gosling) talking about the derby goal in the fa cup and I remember it only to fondly must admit I still can't stand him though for a number of reasons the main one he injured me

When he scored I jumped so high I went about 10 rows in front of me I was so badly hurt St. John's ambulance took me from the ground yes that's right St. John's and I think I cried in front of 40.000 people

So my wish for tomorrow is Danny boy gets the same injury I did I know that sounds cruel but how nice would it be to see that lad crying because he ruptured a bollock.

Hi Ed what's with all this negativity in the posts these days, I have been on this site for a good time but this year seems to be the worst why can't these so called fans get behind the team instead of moaning all the time, they are on the teams for any little thing, we are about to get taken over shortly so come on let's all get behind the team and pack all that in, I for one am fed up with it as I am sure many fellow posters are.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im fed up to the hind teeth with it GB, the other lot across the park have most of their posts put on the "other posts" page because of the moaning, but i have to tell you we are not far behind mate we really need to get a grip and do some supporting, we have a lot to look forward to next season with the takeover and all that yet we get posts slagging the players, manager and club, last weekend lukaku should be sold as he is crap and lazy, barkley is a waste of space and barry pensioned off were just some of the ideas we had here...god give me strength..

19 Feb 2016 18:53:15
Got to say I love coming on here but I don't think I have posted for about two weeks it started feeling like anyone who's anyone was ready to have a go at each other ed you know I have been a poster for a few years now but it's hard interacting with some people I don't know if it's just because everyone is becoming disalusioned with the club or if there is something in the air but it's been enough to make me more of a reader than a poster and some of the stuff that our fans post windz me up I get we all have different views but we all want the land of milk and honey so there's no need to turn on eachother

Can I just say a massive well done to speedo mick who has finally reached Bournemouth after five days walking for charity this man is a legend and a gent anyone who follows this fella falls in love with him great man great blue and an inspiration.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - well said liam mate, lets hope we show the spirit that speedo mick is portraying..and the best of luck to him mate..

19 Feb 2016 18:58:03
Having that, when we get beat everyone is poor and when we win suddenly everyone is worth 60mil. We haven't got it right yet and we may never under Martinez, but we might. I refuse to log in after a loss, because I already know what will be posted, Rom is crap, mirallas should have come on, Barry's legs have gone! Do we have to be bitter blues?

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no we dont avro, i dont mind the odd moan, but lets not rubbish our own club guys...we have enough people doing that imo..

19 Feb 2016 23:53:50
Although there are some absolute stupid posts having a go about everything and anything, we have to realise that we all have opinions and that they will differ to a certain degree. For example, I'm no fan of RM but I will not make a post slating him just for the sake of it, I will respond to other posts with my two p's worth but that is my right as a blue. If a comment is thought out and not personal then, in my book, it's fair game. I'd rather we all don't go down the road of everything is rosy and let's be nice as we all know there are problems. As there are at most clubs. I guess I'm trying to say that even negative posts can be quite constructive as long as they are not attacking a player or the manager just for the sake of it, sometimes we can have decent debates on here but other times posters attack other posters for having different views. We are better than that boys.

{Ed025's Note - i totally agree spud, the last thing i want is lauding up the club and players as its obviously not deserved, but as you say there is a difference to just moaning for the sake of it, balance and constructive are the key words here and of course supporting, this is our club and our extended family as far as im concerned and it hurts when your family is being trashed..

I love FA cup weekends. Whilst I was gutted last weekend I think we can do this one. Sent Mrs ace out to visit her mum so I can have the telly to myself.

I'm predicting 2-0 to us Rom (pen because Atkinson wants to make it up to Jags) and Deulofeu late on.

Optimistic about the penalty
Realistic about the score
Pessimistic over Bournemouths chances

just been watching everton tv and a interview with niasse,it was on wednesday and he said he is fit to play and can't wait also there was no sign of a supposed wrist injury no strapping or anything plus he was kicking a ball around with some local kids so if you have a 13mill player and is injured you would not have him kicking a ball around for the cameras.so wots with the injury rumours.

20 Feb 2016 09:50:05
Perhaps Cahill or Shawcross to come in as replacement if Stones leaves. But would we want to replace a 21 year old with a 30 year old. Don't think so. Either one could replace Jagielka but his time is not up yet. Shawcross seems to be injury prone at moment. Neither Cahill or Shawcross would want to sit on the bench, hence Cahills reason to want to leave Chelsea maybe.

19 Feb 2016 09:35:36
Just an idea Blues but let's cheer up a bit and stop moaning, fair enough if we get beat by Bournemouth then carry on but let's have a 24 hour break at least.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i would like us to just put things into perspective degs and not blow up at every opportunity and slag our club, it looks like the season will not pan out as we wished but i think we should just try and enjoy it and look forward to a new start next season, we have a lot to look forward to...new investment, some new players and hopefully a new stadium which can elevate us into the higher tier of the premiership.. the futures bright...the future is blue..

19 Feb 2016 11:43:47
Couldn't agree more with both comments.

This summer's transfer market is going to be the biggest ever too Ed, we should have new owners which if you go by their previous history they have invested heavily at the beginning, Utd, Chelski and City will all spend mega bucks, should be an interesting next 12 months and if leicester can get up there with what they have then surely we can, I for one may be having a £5 on us next season, before you start Pb i'm not the jinx ha ha

Oh yeh, easy win tomorrow for us, 4-0.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - i dont know about 4-0 degs, but i think we will edge a close match..

19 Feb 2016 16:12:44
Love an optimist but the new owners have not taken over yet! Will believe it when it happens and it will also depend on who the manager is.

just wondering who on here remembers the 1985 season when we won the league, fa cup and cup winners cup the mighty team we all look back on and idolise and have nothing but good things to say about the best ever season in are history or was it no doubt it was are most productive regarding trophy's, now am not saying in any way this season is going to turn out similar but what I am about to show is the margins between luck and bad luck and one player, dose any one remember how that season started we were beaten 4-1 by spurs then there were games no one will remember and will be shocked at 5-4 win at Watford,4-3 home defeat to Chelsea, 4-2 defeat away to Norwich and 1-0 home defeat at home to Grimsby town which we dominated all sound familiar yes very similar to this season results the massive change that season was Neville southall who went on to win player of the year I can imagine the moans and groans and negative comments towards the players and back room staff I do genuinely believe we are a world class goal keeper away from achieving things, if this take over happens and we can add this keeper and more next season will be totally different even with rm in charge, and am not a fan of him, even kendall back then had his doubters.

That's a great post Muff. And whilst there are always points of view I love the comparisons you make, and even though we all get a bit grumpy about our underachieving team I also get the feeling that if just one thing clicked at the right time, we might just win something at last.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2016 08:46:44
Good post muff. More or less what I was trying to say over the last good few days. Who knows if something similar will happen under Martinez.

I don't really care who is in charge if we start winning trophies. Some people want Martinez gone regardless.

I get what your saying at the beginning of that season no one envisaged that happening. As I said before I don't think it will happen soon. But that doesn't mean it is not possible. It is always possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2016 09:00:19
its amazing the similarities but first half of that season we was so inconsistent it was unbelievable only for winning 9 on the bounce it changed the total out look of that season deggsie mountfield was a massive diffrance as well as southall he took over mark Higgins place due to injury and got so much stick then his performances totally changed with the hole team, kendall always said luck and team bonding was major factor why are fortunes changed that season even then before that run and winning fa cup season before he wasn't looked up on fondly kendall.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2016 09:06:00
its what makes us supporters and we never give up hope nbtb your spot on, but one thing with this team is its capability and what it could achieve and a hell of a lot of it is belief the fans and players lack that at the mo and rightly so, I don't think Martinez has what it takes to keep this team together only time will tell here is hopeing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i understand those frustrations muff but as supporters we have to be realistic, we have a very good squad here and yes we should be doing better, but we are turning into terrible moaners and its no wonder we have a poor home record with the pressure put on the players at goodison, it seems that some like seeing us fail as it gives them a chance to moan, the volume of posts increases when we lose because it gives them a platform to criticize the manager, players, board and anyone else they can think of, we need to be more supportive imo mate and not knee jerk every time things dont go our way..

19 Feb 2016 09:24:17
Great post muff, fact before fiction, love it.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2016 09:30:51
Good post muff. Got to allow are young team to gel. Old legs in midfield helped read the game, barry in the peter reid role and we have besic waiting to take over. got to allow time, to many hasty blues who probably don't remember oxford games and coventry at home.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Feb 2016 09:42:06
totally agree ed I share the same frustrations but it dose no good, I always think of youg supporters who we need to attract to the club we as older supporters have just as much responsebilaty as players to guid them in supporting this great club, we all know when young how easily they are persuaded to change there mind and I know with already losing one son to the dark side due to are own fans slagging moaning groning at the match in the pub ect and now on social media as I have said befor there is a time and place but bottom line is we are supporters the clue is in the word and we should do this more than anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its easy to support when times are good muff, a true supporter is there when things are not so good mate.."sing when your winning" comes to mind..

19 Feb 2016 03:01:11
Niasse injured . I don't believe it!

19 Feb 2016 09:41:19
Must be our reserve keeper if a wrist injury is stopping him from playing. If its that bad he could just stick it in a cast and man up. Yet another conundrum to speculate over, you've got to just love this club sometimes!
