Evening ladies and gents. Just for a bit of fun, i was wondering what peoples realistic dream team would be for next season. Heres mine...

.........................Howard......................
Johnny H...Jags.....Distin.......Bainsey
...........Gibson............Rodwell............
Naismith...........Fellaini.........Pienaar
.........................Jelavic......................

Peoples thoughts and teams would be great please. I know that Johnny isnt the best at getting forward but is solid at the back so why not try him on the right. Different but look at that defence! In fact, that team looks top class to me, a match for anyone!

Everton Al.

PS. Ed, I've forgotten my password so I'm going to chane it. My bad. Please post. Thanks.

Heitinga RB = No chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Your team look very good.
I would use Heitinga instead of Distin and find a new right back (we missed on Clyne).
Osman would also be very close to the starting lineup depending on the form of Rodwell.
And dont forget Barkley.
- AO

Agree0 Disagree0

Heitinga has already expressed that he doesn't want to play RB and it wouldn't be fair to push the player of the season out for someone who had a relatively poor season

why are we so slow at signing a player. we lost pranjic cos we were slow, this pienaar move is taking forever and there must be something really wrong if hoilett is choosing QPR over us. oh yeah were spending all our time on pienaar. its so frustrating

Believable2 Unbelievable1

We didn't lose pranjic at all we were never in for him in the first place. The same goes with Hoilett to so get your facts right.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoillett will be playing against blackburn next season when qpr go down chance of cl with gladbach or just a greedy little b*****d with little all else to show except a big fat bank account good ridence

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoillett is off to QPR according to latest info. AO

I am afraid everyone is going to be quite dissapointed this transfer window..EFC are running at a 5-10mill loss everyyear but people are posting rumours about this player and that player...we will get peanuts once Yobo and Anichibe goes and then 1 0r 2 freebies ( naismith and one other )...this would be a good window for EFC...keeps the fans happy until we sell Baines / Rodwell or felli...once one of these players goes you will only then see 1 if 2 decent players come to the club...facts not rumours.

Interesting that rodgers seemingly keen to move Caroll on....probably believes the days of the big centre forward and the long ball are gone. I think Arteta said something similar about 5 years ago. I wouldnt want Everton to play a complete Barcelona style, because it becomes boring to watch after a while. But football is evolving and most of us who have watched the long hit and hope punt up the field at Goodison when we played rout 1 to Big Dunc....are happy to see more finesse and creativity. Everton fans have always appreciated ball players, be it McKenzie or Arteta. Whoever starts for Everton in late August, I would love to see enterprise and style. Of course we want to win, but when you are freezing cold in the top of the stands, one moment of magic lights up everything and hopefully Moyse will have a squad that can allow him to play strong defence, enterprising midfield, and real flair in the last third of the pitch.....just my opinion. {Ed025's Note - mine too..

If we have to pay for Naismith, Bill Kenwright will have a panic attack. Would we have went after him if he would have cost say £1.5 million. No chance.

Think we need a new page to go with rumours and banter, EVERTON MOANS. Perhaps then I could read people's stories, team selections etc without the same old negative gripes. I for one think we are moving forward and will believe Moyes has an interest in a particular player when he says it, not the player or the popular press who have their own agendas and are not interested in the club.

Its no good us blues all getting frustrated as it is not happening straight away, the peanuts deal was probably agreed in principle but terms needed to be ironed out. im sure we need to offload a few and because most other clubs are aware of our finances are trying to nick players on the cheap as per Fenerbache! so it takes longer to sort out. Im sure DM has limited funds and he will be trying to spend ththese wisely.
A lot of players are also just retuning from the euros and Im sure this will affect a lot of clubs ins and outs.
Naismith was a good bit of business on a free but there aren't many like that that wont also cost you a fortune in wages!

When the previous poster says "so are we all" pissed off with Kenwright....who does he mean exactly? You don't speak for me and probably not for thousands of other Blues Fans either. Its because of people just like you that we might be in danger of becoming the next Rangers or Portsmouth or Forest or Leeds United or Blackburn....should I say more? Kenwright really does have this club at heart even though things he says and does or doesn't do don't impress all of us all the time. If we spend what we haven't got then you will be watching Conference League Football within a few seasons. We are all fed up watching all the other clubs being bought by "so-called" millionaires, but our Club needs a major investament which means BIG money but above all we need trustworthy, knowledgeable new owners, not just a few businessman who might want to seel up after a few years. We love Everton FC all of us do and we are all frustrated....but none more so than Bill Kenwright.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Good post mate, well said.I'm with you on that 1,shame you left no name though.

Westy

Agree0 Disagree0

Its people like you who are satisfied at the constant drain in resources who allow BK to continue. If you believe that DM could not achieve even more with some kind of modest investment then you are deluded. To be sitting round waiting for cash from Yobo and or Anichebe is just a desperate position for a club like ours. You badly need to open your eyse!

DBEFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't so-called fans like these just go off & start supporting City or Chelsea or United if they want owners who can afford to just go out & buy the world's top players. It's not going to happen at Goodison in the forseeable future. In case you hadn't noticed, this country's economy is in the toilet thanks to this government. Rich people are not going to throw billions around at the moment! Those clubs who will take money off any spoiled little foreign rich kid who wants to play at football club owner are setting themselves up for a mighty fall.
Leeds Utd, Portsmouth, Blackburn Rovers - ring any bells? We are so fortunate to have a REAL fan as an owner & the best "points per £" manager, possibly in Europe. And still these whingers come on here wanting one, or both, out. And as for the statement that "we are an absolute joke"...unbelievable!! I have loads of mates who support different clubs & one thing we are NOT, is a joke. Apart from the Analfield lot, these mates all agree that we are a proper club, well supported, with a great owner & manager & a squad with loads of players they'd love to see in their team. You don't realise how lucky you are to be supporters of such a great club. You're entitled to your opinion, but don't think that even a tiny monority of true Evertonians agree with you, because we don't!!!!

Fact is the transfer window opened 3 weeks ago, everyone has been busy with euros and holidays! Just wait and see what happens before you start planning protests.
Also so many people making out its the end of the world if pienaar doesn't come, don't get me wrong I think the lad did a great job for us at the end of last season but no player is bigger than the club and if he doesn't come we will survive and Everton will be around long after Pienaar retires! what about this,
what ever money we had for Pienaar, and just forget about him, and use to get hoilett or holtby / phillips,
then we could move garbutt to left back, and use baines on the left wing, he's great at going forward and even better at getting back so he cold help out alot at left back, plus moyes always uses a 5 man strong mid so it would be hard for them to break the left back down as baines can help out more and with nassiy pushing out wide.
just a thought as it's not all doom and gloom

Time to step up lad, if he does step up and play like we all know he can and stay injury free he can become a top top player in my opinion.

i think we have missed out on piennar, wages stumbling block everton want him on 1 of the lowest paid players wages, seems like hes going for kieran richardson now

Believable2 Unbelievable7

I don't believe wages are an issue and believe its a matter of fee being agreed

What do people expect from pienaar? He is still a spurs player an still has to play when required. He is not the type of player to refuse to play... An if he is I wouldnt want him. Also he is going to smile in his pictures? Wat else is he going to do. And as for his so called wage demands, personally I believe that he deserves to be up there with the clubs top earners and should have been given this before he left. Negotiating does not make him cheeky or mean that he doesn't want to come imo. I sll expect to see him lining up against United.

We really are a bit of a joke in the transfer market ... Pienaar deal looked certain ... Then he plays for Spurs ... Pranjic deal dissolves ... Even Naismith now looks dodgy in terms of legitimacy.
Last season we had protests after zero summer signings ... A repeat may well be on the cards.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Patients is key... also with Pranjic he seems like a bit of a D### first he was coming here, then had an offer from China that was 'too good to refuse' and now ends up at sporting which came out of nowhere... maybe all the hype was just that from his agent or PR team...

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing 'dodgy' about the Naismith deal. The Bosman Ruling, which I am sure your aware of, states that all players have the same rights as any other employee. This means Employment Law rules the day, which in turn means Naismith is ours. Now wheres that gatepost.......

The reason we can't sign Peanuts is because of Yobo. Moyes was given 10mill to play with about 4.5 of that went on Naismiths 4 year deal, he saved the rest for the Pienar transfer fee hoping that with Yobo, Mucha off the wage bill we would cover his wages that way. Sad fact is that we can't sell Yobo so we can't buy Peanuts and I would imagine the deal is now off if he is involved with their ore season games.

Svenny

Believable1 Unbelievable3

I think we need to relax and be patient with Peanuts. Berbatov came out and said he wants to leave united, ferguson said he will probably leave united and yet he flew to asia with them and started last night!
Agree about the Yobo thing, although we did get rid of 6/7 players end of season who whould have has about £200K a week between them...

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry forgot to sign off MAC

We got naismith for free mate.

Westy

Yobo is apparently gone, NSNO got the information from a Nigerian online site. Things may progress now on the Pienaar front.

Svenny you say that we can't buy pienaar because of naismiths 4 year deal, his wages will not be paid in advance therefore will have no impact on any money moyes has to spend. and if you think that 4.5m was the signing on fee it would have been cheaper to buy him from rangers.....grbefc

Every year this club is so quick to want are money season tickets to kits an us loyal fans do it but when we go for players we mess things up time after time wish we could do things proper for once ste 45

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Ste we all get peed off at the transfer window when it comes to players but we have to be real about players now a days, some very average players want 50-60 grand a week and moyes wont pay that,so its not a point of us messing things up its a point of players wanting stupid money. Terry blue

Dithering Dave at it again got no money to buy anyone cos BK doesn't want to let go of the club . We have only been linked with free options . So blues b patient and wait till last day of window as per usual if he brought anyone in now wages have to be paid . Shrewd blues at it again nothing changes

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Great news the , Peanuts on a free??

EFCwhitesocks

Agree0 Disagree0

Even no cash to buy player Moyes still cannot sign free player coz they think BK. no cash to pay their wage.

Agree0 Disagree0

Won't b down 2 moyes down to kenwright absolute joke , if he can't c how important the pienaar deal is not only what he gives to the team ,but if it falls thru ,what will say to current players ie Baines Felliani about r ambition ,it's not as if it's a major financial deal it's under 5 million 4 a player we know or know us a no brainier

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice way to be positive. Sorry to be insulting but would acallu prefer it if you didn't support everton. Also of ur gonna be this negative atleast be brave enough to leave ya name.

Then you're an person-we won't end up like Portsmouth unless we sell to the wrong buyer

Agree0 Disagree0

Portsmouths situation was and is completely different to ours. We are not financially struggling just don't have the money to be splashing on big transfers. Watever is said about bill, he at least runs us in the right way

If these rumours about Pienaar regarding him holding out for more cash are true then as far as I'm concerned let him rot as third choice at spurs! If he hasn't realised that it's not all about the money from recent experiences then he's not going to and quite frankly doesn't deserve play for our great team!

Bluestu1878

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Its not that we are taking forever its the fact we dont have any money.

We got 400k for Silva, thats it, supposed to have 3.5 million for Yobo plus wages.

Also Anichebi is off to Hull on loan for the season, this means a good opportunity for Vellios

Everton have not put a bid in for
Him because we don't have any
Money a bid as to be agreed first
kenwrights to blame not
Peanuts

Pienaar deserves a good contract evertonions hav gt to stop goin about greed n loyalty . He never left 4 greed he left because Everton contract offer wasnt enough if u to b a top 6 side u need good players who will want good wages end of story every other team does it

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not Pienaar's fault, we just don't have the money yet.

I am under the impression now that if Piennar is not coming back.......I think its because he has been told that Baines is off to United ! The reason he was signing was to renew his partnership down the left flank with Baines, can't see him coming back here if Baines is moving.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Pienaar was quality without Baines at the end of last season and Baines was quality without Pienaar after he left, the Pienaar deal does not hinge on whether Baines moves.

I'm pretty sure Pienaar signed for us in January after being on the Bench for Tottenham that very night? Just because he played tonight in a friendly could mean nothing, so chill.

Dandan217

Believable2 Unbelievable3

I remember when Lescott did the dash, he played for us against Arsenal and we got hammered that night, then he was gone not shortly after that. I think pienaar will still come. Then if not lets smash spurs home and away.
