Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

Heard from a very reliable source that Everton One have been making Lukaku shirts with the number 10. Hoping ssn report is just to keep the intensity going. i'd also go for Javier Hernandez. Your thoughts Ed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - ditch the 2 of them and get bony for me stevie..

Please stop with the Lukaku nonsense it's NOT happening for the love of god open your eyes everyone. I want him to come more than anyone but he isn't so let's move on

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 23:08:13
Martinez isn't moving on, which makes it clear it might happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan if you believe that there are a load of magic elves all itk in the Everton shop frantically making Lukaku 10 shirts you're as mad as "everton aren't we" posting that garbage last night. c'mon son, I have you pegged as brighter than that. Martinez has said nothing other than he wants him, nothing more nothing less for all we know he could of given up weeks ago. Fact is if he wants to sign and we can agree terms with him and Chelsea he will if we can't or he doesn't he wont. The idea that the club shop staff are all swore to secrecy and are making shirts on the qt is at best laughable mate

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rom genuinely wanted to sign he would of done so. He clearly doesn't want to so let's move on. Still plenty of quality strikers out there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gone on too long now.go for bony. We can't even sign a mk dons kid up straight away.besic has a disturbing transfer wrangle with previous club.no matter what happens tho, I'll be ok with the kids comin in to help out.i think McAleny has a good future with us. We will sign others so stop being down heartened and panicking

Agree0 Disagree0

@dentilad. We can't seem to sign anyone without it being a saga full stop!! I just don't get why we have this constant troubles signing players and have done for years it just bamboozles me.

Didnt say I believe that, I believe martinez, don't put words in my mouth

Agree0 Disagree0

Gents stop fretting look how long it took to get Barry! RM wanted him and we got him. If RM really wants Lukaku I am pretty sure he will get him. It just may take a little longer than we like.

Martinez has said he wants 1 Ms and 3 attackers, he has also previously talked about strengthening the squad and at the start of the summer he only mentioned 2 players by name - Gareth Barry and Romelu Lukaku - I'm pretty sure he must be confident of getting them both if mentioning targets by name - he would look silly if we didnt

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 22:19:06
. it's Lukaku that's the problem folks. he doesn't want to come to Everton but wants to stay @ Chelski & prove his worth to Mourinhio. I'm afraid we're back to that big ego/attitude of his again. you know what I mean - everton isn't big enough or good enough for me because it's not in the champions league, but Chelski is! Bill just do us all a favour & sign up Bony, all evertonians are being driven mad over all this, problem is our expectations have been raised so much from last season & so far nothing, same old same old!

Stop slagging off his attitude without any solid evidence. Just wait and see how the window goes.

Agree0 Disagree0

I tend to agree . The lad is good but far from the finished article and if we signed him I think he would be off if we had a poor season .

Agree0 Disagree0

Im with you on that one zacki, and as much as I think he has the potential to become a great player I think we should drop the pursuit of him now and move on.As ed025 said Bony for me, that will do for me too.

Agree0 Disagree0

We all really don't know what's going on with these transfer saga's.Lukaku and his agent are playing the game,he may want to come to us but if he hands a transfer request in he'll lose around 2 million, that's a lot of money for anyone to forfeit, time will tell and we've just got to wait it out.As for Bony Liverpool couldn't believe his demands and said no thanks so I think that rules us out.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 23:06:58
Hes made it clear he wants to move, ssn just love going round in cires and chatting bull so when he does finally move they can make it more dramatic, which will make jim whites pants explode, bobby knows whether lukaku wants to join or not and you have to think for a minute, do you honestly think martinez would keep saying he wants him if he knew there is no chance? Roberto knows lukakus decision already and he obviously knows we have a chance or he wouldn't be pursuing him, we will wait, they have no chance of getting ross, I trust roberto over all the itk wannabes

The Everton development squad took on Southport at the Merseyrail Stadium in a friendly fixture today . Not a lot to report other than to say Liam Walsh was spraying the ball about effectively and Mateusz Hewlett made a world class save from a powerful downwards header from Brodie. The goal in a 2 -1 defeat came from a defenders mistake which allowed sub Courtney Duffus to nip in and score .
Looking on were coach David Unsworth and in the stand Joe Royle and Colin Harvey

Thanks, Jonno. Was Ledson playing, or is the 'development squad' below his age group/ talent level?

IMO only Newcastle, Chelsea and possibly WBA have had decent windows so far. Let's hope LFC have a Gareth Bale transfer window trying to replace the irreplaceable. Can't knock them though for robbing Sunderland. I thought it was a misprint and Borini was 4M.
I think the only Evertonian not stressed over the window is RM. I'm old enough to really just trust the manager and wait and see. The reality is I am trawling the web all hours, even checking Bosnian and Hungarian sites, hoping they are in English looking for Besic snippets.
Decided to have a few days off ( I've broken promises before) and wait and hope we will see a few new faces by the Tranmere game

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - west ham have done ok as well ted, and utd...

We are all doing the same mate My wife thinks i'm having an affair with the amount time i'm spending on my computer . I hardly see the kids these days .

Pretty confused now. we flipped from Bersic to Lukaku real quick. The Barry transfer saga took a while, but this "supposed" Bersic deal is getting a tad ridiculous. And then there's Lukaku. 18 million? Nah, no chance. He's been touted to be worth way more. And with the likes of top Spanish and German clubs in for him, why would he move to us? I'd be very (pleasantly) surprised if he ended up here, but i'm pretty sure Chelsea have said if he goes, he goes to another league.

One thing i'm pretty happy about is RM's openness to say what he's looking for. 3 Attackers and a Mid Feilder. With DM, we wouldn't even get a sniff until it was already done. Also, these signings shows the intent of RM for EFC.

Im pretty sure we all reckon Traore is going to be one of those attackers, but, how many of the transfers would ve ours on a permanent? We can't be EverLoan forever can we?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - besic deal is held up due to work permits QB, he has dual nationality which makes it complicated, for me chelsea are playing silly buggers with lukaku, they are waiting till the last minute for us to be desperate for him so they can get first dibs on ross..

20 Jul 2014 13:45:27
Oh right, fair enough Ed, I thought Germans didn't need a work permit for England tho. Yeah that sounds like a Mourihno thing to do I suppose.

With all the stories flying around in regards to Lukaku the latest one is stating that he has updated his Twitter Bio to now say that he is a Chelsea player after having no previous mention of the club . Read into that what you will, everybody else puts two and two together and comes up with a different answer . Thata what makes this time of the year so exciting yet normally so frustrating for us Evertonians . I am just going to sit tight and wait and hopefully be pleasantly surprised in the next few weeks with a couple of decent signings plus new deals for, Barkley, Stones and McCarthy .

Remy 8 mill Borini 14 mil Lukaku 18 mil, some odd looking values!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not that odd:
For Remy, it's a buyout clause;
For Borini, it's the TV money being splashed;
For Lukaku, it's a ridiculously low figure that some joker put out in the media.

Agree0 Disagree0

Remys release clause is 8.5 million to a champions league club and goes higher to teams outside the champions league so I believe.14 million for borini is a total joke I wouldn't rate him a 4 million pound player.sunderland are certainly having there keks pulled down over that without doubt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well remy scored 14 goals for newcastle an I think borini scored 14 for sunderland so I think that puts them on the same value so I don't no were 14 mill come from

I've decided to start a transfer rumour.
Apparently, there's a sensational Norwegian prospect called Bjarne Thor who's being scouted as a promising centre forward by several English and European clubs.
The story is that he's fast and skilful, but if his name was an object he couldn't hit it ;-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nice on Sid. Beats my Bulgarian U 19 International, Chestikov, the DM with the suspect medical history.

Rumour of are Tim being linked with a return to the premier. Any chance of a return farewell.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He was a very good player for us, but his time's surely been and gone. I also doubt that he'll take a coaching job with us when he stops playing. I expect that he'll move back to Australia and take on a management/coaching role at one of the clubs in their professional league.
But if I could predict the future, I'd be a multi-billionaire who could invest in Everton rather than being an ordinary fan. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 17:18:15
According to quotes from Mourinho, Chelsea have now completed their transfer dealings for this window. Now does that mean just incoming transfers or both incoming and outgoing transfers. Also, does it mean just permanent deals and not loan deals. Either way, it adds to the obvious confusion we are seeing re the Lukaku situation.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Ignore what he says. I don't believe there is any confusion over Lukaku.}

You might not think there's any confusion over lukaku ed02 but unfortunately there is. Untill chelsea everton or the man himself come out and clarify the situation once and for all the confision will continue. Just because you state you've been clear from the off means nothing to us we need to hear it officially.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 21:04:19
Well said SWG mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002: good to read that you don't believe there's any confusion over Lukaku. I'd better revisit your replies to other posts and get some clarity :-)
By the way, just being nosy, but are you American or have you spent time living in the USA?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am American but have not lived there on a permanent basis since 1981.}

19 Jul 2014 17:13:41
Well there you have it ssn just reported that Lukaku is staying at Chelsea

Admid all the speculation on this website about Lukaku and Besic - all of which seems to stem from a couple of stories in the press that have been repeated throughout the press and social media - I am starting to hope that we can also tie down Stones, Barkley and McCarthy to improved extended contracts.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think getting these three tied down to long term contracts is a major priority to us as they represent the way forward for our future progress given the age and ability of them . You will not get any change out of £100 million should the three of them reach their full potential in the future .

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 17:45:54
With all the speculation about who we should be signing, we should remember the rules about registered squads. Here is my understanding. If anyone else is better informed, then I will readily stand corrected.
For the Premier League, any player over 21 must be registered to play and the 25-man squad of over-21 players must have at least 8 homegrown players. We currently have at least 8 over-21 homegrown players - players like Jagielka, Baines, McCarthy, Barry, etc. The number of non-homegrown over-21 players cannot exceed 17. Ours include Howard, Coleman, Distin, Mirallas, etc. the number of under-21 players that can be used is unrestricted.
For the Europa League, the rules are similar, but with two quirks:
(1) The 8 over-21 homegrown players must include 4 who were club-trained at Everton. (Players like Hibbert, Osman, Duffy and McAleny qualify.)
(2) The under-21 players must have been with us for, I believe, 2 years. (That mean the likes of Stones have yet to qualify. Likewise if we signed Lukaku - on loan or permanently.)
It'll be interesting to see if all of our players can be accommodated in the squads under these rules - especially as some (e.g Duffy and McAleny) are now regarded as over 21 under the rules.

S1878 makes a good point about 14 million for Borini and football going mad. He adds that with all the TV money, turnstile charges should be no more than £5 for kids and £20 for adults. I totally agree mate. There is a generation of football fans growing up who will never go to a game. They will only ever see games on TV and probably down the pub at that! One of my son's mates asked him round to watch Manchester United on his 50 inch screen with surround sound. He told my son, " the atmosphere is electric!"
My son replied, "Go to Goodison, you will get enough electric for a shock!"

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm still amazed that PSG - even given their recent overspending history and their apparent ignoring of their financial fair play situation - would pay 50 million for David Luiz who imho was the most overrated and poorly performing centre back at the World Cup finals.
I wonder how much PSG charge for tickets?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You should perhaps include some currency in all of these prices you are quoting.}

Ed002: OK - that'd be 50 million pounds, which equates to around 62 million euros, if one believes what was in the media.
As Mark Twain said, "If you don't read the newspapers, you're uninformed. if you do read the newspapers, you're mis-informed."

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It was "uniformed" he said. He had a thing about postmistresses.}

19 Jul 2014 17:22:41
According the official Premier League retained players list at the end of last season, Jake Adelson (an Australian defender) was among the scholars being offered a contract. However, he's not among the eight youngsters (seven scholars and Sam Byrne on a free from ManUtd) whose signing of pro contracts was announced the other day. Also, he doesn't appear to have been involved in the pre-season matches so far.
Does anyone know his situation?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jul 2014 12:36:17
Edd. Lukaku is on holiday until next week so do you think it is unlikely we will hear anything till he returns.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - There's a chance of it but in the modern day transfers can be concluded electronically and agents are more involved than the player.}

19 Jul 2014 12:49:58
Remy going to Liverpool so we can put that to bed

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thank god for that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why wouldn't you want Loic Remy stef?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 17:08:10
Agreed stef, the injury and attitude problems are something we could do without

Agree0 Disagree0

Reason I don't want him is because he is a self obsessed drama queen that causes disruption in squads and plus he is not that good I don't rate him.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 18:39:08
Woah woah woah don't start mate, stef is voicing his opinion which is true, he does love himself, he said he will, this summer, be at one of the top 5 teams in world football (barca, real, city, athletico, psg, bayern, .dortmund and teams like that) none of whom he is anywhere near good enough to play for, not to mention his high wage demands, I may of had my moments on here but don't ever say someone doesn't have a clue or ever think about using the word deluded, don't talk, think

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan all am saying is that he is a good not a world class player this goes to both of u in that u only rate players if they join everton if they don't that are crap

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 20:56:18
I don't think messi or ronaldo is crap, need more? Okay I also rate morgan schneiderlin, matjia nastasic and think everyone knows I hate arsenal, I really like aaron ramsey and flamini, hows that? don't make stuff up, quote me when I said I only rate players at everton, hell I don't rate joel, osman or pienaar anymore, so, in future, please don't invent stuff in your head and expect me to just buy it, I've never said, for example pirlo is crap and osman is world class, the fact, and this is a fact, you are clutching at non-existent threads simply because me and stef do not want a narcissistic, injury prone, selfish mercenary at the club, and because we disagree with you

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 22:45:40
Ed how did you let that post from Danny go up? That sort of sexist crap against a fellow fan shouldn't be allowed. Female sport fans are essential to helping grow the sport. Oh and personally I agree with Steph, overrated and injury prone if the reds think he is their answer to Suarez leaving more fool them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i never syd mac...another ed did..i dont do sexism mate and have deleted the post, i agree with you about female fans, jenny taylor on arsenal is a cracking poster mate, a lot of her stuff is better than a lot of her male counterparts..

Stef, but he has scored roughly a goal every other game for two struggling Premier League teams. With a team playing well, like us, he could potentially reach 20 goals a season, which is what we need.
And anyway, is his attitude much worse than Lukaku's?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 12:44:39
Are Everton even close to a deal for lakaku or not

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jul 2014 12:20:22
With all the talk of the Utd squad being overhauled, has anyone given any thought to Kagawa? Apparently Van Gaal is unsure but I think he could be a fantastic addition to our squad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jul 2014 17:09:17
Where would he play? He would be a squad player here, same as at united, don't need him, although I won't deny his ability

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 10:55:27
Surely after the terrible events on Thursday Ukraine should do the honourable thing and withdraw from all competitive matches?
Not after some 'cheap shot, back door entry' for Everton here but who in their right minds would feel comfortable playing any team from the Ukraine away?
The argument could be made for Russia as well but with very little tangible evidence of who is responsible for this atrocity the decision must be made on the health and safety of teams and supporters visiting the country where the event occurred.
If they don't resign, ban them.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bit harsh that Mushy. Although what you're saying make sense for health/security reasons banning them would be very harsh considering it's not the football teams that did it, is it?

If enough teams in the competition say they don't feel safe travelling there, etc, them UEFA will probably make them play there games somewhere else, like a neighbouring country. Banning them would be ludicrous as far as most people are concerned.

If a plane was shot down over Southampton for example (or anywhere near the south coast), what would your reaction be if UEFA banned us from the Europa League because of safety reasons for visiting teams when the actual incident would have occurred at the other end of the country?

Think about it!

Agree0 Disagree0

You were doing so well until u used the southampton analogy. It doesn't matter where it was shot down the whole region is volatile so imo they should all be played at a neutral venue in another country. Uefa cup included

Agree0 Disagree0

It won't mean baning them teams I think they should be told they can play in the comp but they have to play there home games outside there country that way they still get to compete but also majes sure the teams they play stay safe

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Russia should have the World Cup taken off them and give it to Holland. If not I Hope Australia and the rest of the world Boycott it. FIFA at least could do some good. I think all Russian teams should be banned from all European competitions as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2014 10:43:10
With rm stating on our website that he wants 1 mid and 3 attackers, I can't see us going after cleverley as many better options. This besic looks like a beast, so hopefully it's going to be tied up soon and we can then move onto the forwards. This lukaku talk is sounds really promising but no idea of the other targets. Just hope we can hang on to what we've already got!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jul 2014 10:16:54
It's only speculation at the mo but if we get rom and hernandez my heart will give up. coyb! let's get it done

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jul 2014 08:46:15
So 1 mid and 3 attackers I'm guessing
Besic permanent
Lukaku permanent
Traore loan
Cerci permanent

Howard/Robles
Coleman/Hibbo Jags/Stones Distin/Duffy Baines/Oviedo
Mcarthy/Besic Barry/Gibson
Cerci/Mcgeady Barkley/Naismith Mirralas/Piennar
Lukaku/Traore

Add in Kone, Alcaraz and some youth stepping up we've got enough to challenge on all fronts. COYB!

Cahill apparently wants a return to the prem would anyone like to take him back for a year as a squad player I would love to have him back and think he could still do a job comin off the bench and startin the odd game for me he is one of my favourite players in recent times and he loves our club I know he is getting on but he proved in the World Cup he still has a eye for goal great pro and would b good to have him back where he belongs in our squad also I'm sure it would not cost a lot to have him back just my opinion I'm sure there r lots on here that won't agree thoughts please

.following on from my last opting, I now understand that Romelu Lukaku is likely to sign on a permanent deal for Everton within the next 48 hours. a real coup of a signing for the club. could be a 3 player announcement all at once with Traore on another loan agreed & Besic having also signed. off for a brandy now, can't cope with all this excitement in 1 night!! :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2014 23:19:16
Plenty of rumours that Everton are confident that Lukaku will sign in the coming days. Besic is still ongoing but due to complications with what is owed to Hamburg it is taking time. Martinez has come out and said he wants one more MF and 3 strikers. make of this what you will but I hope some of this is true

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2014 23:18:48

14 million for Borini!!
Has the world gone mad??
With all the TV money in the Prem Adults should pay no more than £20 and kids no more than £5 to go to a game. but every time more money comes in, all clubs do is give it away to very average players!
It doesn't matter how much you pay for him, or pay him, an average player is still an average player.
