Thank you Roberto for restoring the quality we have become used to this season. Was thoroughly disappointed with the way we played in the last two games. for a start they have to demand defensive organisation working on the basics, work on set pieces to counter the bus parkers instead of waiting for the opposition to lower the draw bridge

The away goal was always going to make it tough to get a result tonight.what I didn't expect was for the team to capitulate into the embarassing shower of crap I've witnessed in a long long time wearing the blue of everton.From the inept clown who manages us right through the playing staff, hang your heads in shame.You had the chance to be the only british team still left in europe after this weeks results which meant something to us evertonians. But seemingly not to the players. So I would like to say thank you for embarrasing our great club in front of the country, and most importantly the thousands of blues who by hook or crook turned up thousands of miles away to support you, you don't deserve there support. I am angry and ranting a bit, but it hurts just like it will every other blue. PS. Kevin Ratcliffe is a TOSSER.

Well that will be the last time you'll see Everton in Europe for many years to come folks with this clown in charge, I don't blame Alcatrash - he can't help being utter poo, I blame the man who picked him & who yet again got the team selection wrong yet again. our defending has been the reason why we are where we are in the league table & tonight was just unbelievably poor. .I think the final shot from the TV cameras tonight sums up where Everton football club are right now - there were fans crying, looking depressed, P. Reid in the studio was speechless. . it's going to be really hard for the boys to pick themselves up in time for Sunday's game & I'm pretty damn sure we'll get beaten by the worse team in the premier league by which time we will only be 3 points off the relegation zone again. .I just wonder when Bill looked at Bobbys c.v. whether he noticed anything about his defensive record at Wigan & where it ultimately led them too & unless he now pulls the trigger I'm afraid to say the same will happen to Everton fc - if not this season, certainly next! However, playing in the PL will, not would be their first priority .

Mirallas is a flight risk as I type, and the rest may well be,

Yes, we have not been as good as last year. Mainly too many draws. Many could/should have been wins!
Why was the system played last year OK and this year not?'Cos the other teams had found us out! They countered our play, closed us down earlier which resulted in too many 'lost balls'.
Finally, who is going to replace him?
It's easy to sack a manager. Hard to find " a better" replacement.

Have you seen where we re in the league? Any manager no matter who you are is going to get stick and probably the sack if you perform in the league the way we have this season.

I actually think we should have lost more games than we have and thought that last season a well.

Last Thursday we were playing the normal Martinez way of patient sideways passing until the crowd screamed at Barry to release the ball. He did and it fell to Lukaku and for the first time he had the chance to run at the defender. The crowd jumped on it and started cheering, the players reacted and we haven't looked back since.

This wasn't a piece of tactical genius or even instigated from the manager. If you look at the Newcastle game we started the same old way and again the crowd booed a sideways pass to get the players going.

So no, I don't give the manager any credit that after 8 months of saying I won't change my philosophy after every defeat, the crowd and players forces a change in his tactics. Baines on ITV pretty much said the same thing.

If we finish 14th this season (hopefully) then we will lose 12.4 mil in TV rev from last season. When the new TV deal comes in we would lose 27 mil in revenue. You can kiss the potential stadium and big signings goodbye. That's the price of being stubborn.

As for who would take over. I wouldn't be so keen to rush it and take the first manager that comes along but probably one that has genuine experience of managing a big club or a manager that hasn't just relegated another one. I like Bobby as a person but as a manager you have to be flexible in every way and that includes philosophies.

Steve Mcclaren would have been a good bet. Even Tony Pulis if we had sacked the fraud early enough. If the OP is happy with what the manager is doing then let him be, obviously prefers relegation battles over top 6 challenges. His tactics are one dimensional and mundane. There is no variation in play when things aren't going well and as for Plan B, bobby just thinks that's a rapper from down south!

Hi all. Not football related but I'm posting this on here as I know what a great bunch of people Evertonians are. An old school friend of mine has a 7 year old son Finn who is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. Neither of his parents or siblings are a match so it's down to the bone marrow donor register. I am writing this in the hope that I'll get people to sign up with either Anthony Nolan (if under 30) or Delete blood cancer. All it involves is an online registration after which you will be sent a kit. You do a mouth swab and send it back to them. I believe there is about a 1 in 500 chance you will be a match for someone. Nice open and honest post that BP and I wish Finn the very best of luck in finding a suitable donor. I put my name on the register many years ago after Gary Lineker's son was ill and he made an appeal for people to become donors. It really is rotten and so unfair when children get ill like this, it really shouldn't be allowed to happen but sadly is beyond anyone's control. So c'mon you Blues out there, get involved and rally round, it's only a mouth swab, it doesn't cost you anything and can make a real difference to someone's life.
