Glasgow Celtic fan here, I was wondering if there is any truth in the rumour up here that we will be playing Everton in August 13 for Leon Osmans testimonial.Look forward to coming down if true. PS Best of luck for next season

Good post 67. It would be a great testimonial against another great team. Sure to be a great game too.

I remember seeing Nathan Redmond play at Birmingham in the 12/13 season and said at the time I'd have both of them at Everton. With Norwich going down I'd like to think we could get Redmond. I'd definitely go for Redmond as geri is back at barca and we need another pacey winger to replace him and the price would be low as they are a championship club. From the first half of the england u21's game he's looked quality too. Thoughts eds?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have no thoughts about him at all - and the court order ensures I will not in the future.}

We were supposedly interested in him last summer and he publicly declared that he wanted to come to us and would wait until we made an approach. We didn't. He has been quite good this season, but he was the season before when we evidently had no interest. I doubt anything's changed.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we should go for him. Norwich's finances are common knowledge having been relegated and Redmondwould be a great acquisition to replace Delboy.

Who wants Delefeou back next year? Personally I don't he has no final ball and Coleman wasn't at his best offensively as he had to cover for him when he played right wing. Much rather we went for someone like Memphis depay

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I said a while back he may as well go back to Barca because he has looked disinterested for months, his body language and demeanour looked all wrong to me like he just didn't want to be hear and he has already stated that he wants to go back. Bye bye sunshine.

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't be coming back anyway I don't think. But I would have him. He is the type who can win you a game with a bit of individual skill. You can't have too many of those in the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Quinny, if there was one thing he did have it was an excellent final ball. Hardly anyone was there to get on the end of them though.

Agree0 Disagree0

This kid is a star in the making he is only a kid so has plenty of time to live up to his potential

Agree0 Disagree0

He could be better than Messi Shakey but if he doesn't want to be here then what's the point!

Agree0 Disagree0

If you put a great cross into the front post when everyone's at the back post that's not a great cross, his final ball was shocking

Agree0 Disagree0

I moaned about his inability to make the right decision all season. He had a habit of turning into defenders rather than turning away from them. Having said that, he undoubtedly had pace, skill and a decent shot. He also had youth on his side. I guess next season he will be better. The season after he will really shine.

Has anyone seen any of Hallam Hope this season? He's got 5 in 7 on loan at Bury, which is impressive, but has anyone actually watched him play?

Same for Duffy. He's WhoScored's player on the season in the championship, but has anyone seen a game? Just wondering if they have futures.

hallam hope will have a future imo, people don't know but him and ross played for the everton under 13s I believe and were both touted for big things, ross more so however, hope does seem a quality finisher, quick, clever and has a great shot, next season is too early, should be loaned to the championship, duffy will either leave in the summer or go on loan to leicester or burnley, don't think he has a future, too slow and can't pass

Agree0 Disagree0

Well yeah, I read that article about Ross' rise which mentioned that him and Hope where the golden boys of the youth, which is what prompted me to inquire. And I agree that Duffy doesn't have the technical skills to play for us, but apparently he is good enough to cut it at a mid table Prem club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've seen Duffy play a few times for Yeovil this season and every time he was quality, best player on the pitch by a country mile!

I'm not sure he's the future of our club, but until he's given a shot then we can't judge.

Hi Ed I've asked a few blues weather they would take lescott back and would they have Sinclair what are your thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - I would have both to be honest aspey, with the Europa league having a big strain on the squad, as long as their wages were reasonable, I would certainly consider both mate..

Lescott had a dig at us recently which was about as classy as his performance against arsenal which forced us to sell him, so no thanks there.

Scott Sinclair was awesome for Swansea in the championship but found out in the prem, pretty much straight away. So championship player at best. No thanks there either.

TBH I would only have Barry from what City are letting go.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lescott unlikely after his moneygrabber comments last week

Agree0 Disagree0

You have low standards then Ed as Lescott is finished and should never be welcomed back, and as for Sinclair he couldn't even get a game for West Brom last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - I never said they were my first choices mike, but as squad players I would deffo have them mate..

I wouldn't have Lecott back inside Goodison again if I could the absolute crab!

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither good enough for EFC

So man city releasing lescott, Richards, Rodwell, Barry, Sinclair I would obviously hope we sign Barry but wouldn't mind taking lescott and Sinclair. What you think Ed?

lescott is finished and sinclair, couldn't buy a game at west brom and is poor in general, no tar

Agree0 Disagree0

Still have a feeling Rodwell would make a v good CB, but don't think we can afford to have any more injury prone players in the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to buy four quality players and keep the squad we have. Forget Rodwell, he is too injury prone and we don't have the money to waste. Lescott and Richards will want too much wages and not what we need imo.
We need to sign a quality midfielder £8m, two strikers (£20m) and a left CB (£2m) as cover for Distin. We should have £30m- £35m from all the players we sold last year. We could also get one or two in on loan next season as well as we will need a bigger squad for Europe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would take Richards without a doubt.
i think Bobby would make him a solid centre half.he just needs games.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think man u sale will be better for us, can see the likes of nani, young, Valencia, hernandez, carrick all leaving

are we interested in any of the five english city players?
wouldn't mind richards and rodwell tbh, he didn't ask for a move he got sold.
