Good source deep inside the club has said they have put Sigurðsson high on there list for replacement for Cahill. {Ed024's Note - There is still a bit of life in cahill yet, he is looking better as the season goes on and i like his partnership with jelavic

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cahill and jelavic work really well with each other, hopefully cahill can start knocking in a few more goals

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Cahill has still got it, just cus' the guys not been scoring means nothing, he's had 2 this year anyway but he hasn't played any worse than anyone else before that anyway, people need to get off he's back! besides he was never fast anyway and he is still fit enough so what's the problem?
on that sigurosson lad, he's good wouldn't be a bad but wouldn't barkley fill that spot? also I would rather have dembele. he is class very underrated!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sigurdsson is absolute quality, I thought he was quality when he left Reading, would love to see him play in an Everton shirt, possesses a very good shot from around the penalty box and is brilliant with the ball at his feet. I guess it depends what the price for him will be, and with his performances with Swansea, you would have to think he would be out of our price range.

As for Barkley, I would love to see him get a go, not as a starter though, Moyes is right you need to ease him into it, give him a start here and there and appearances from the bench, or else could develop injury troubles if he plays way too much at a young age, case and point Rodwell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sigudson would cost £8.5 mil. Swansea have no option to buy clause that I'm aware of. And since being loaned from Hoff' they have changed manager so he might well be recalled.

He is a quality player and if he becomes available you can expect a long queue of big clubs all over Europe bidding for him.

As much as I would love to see him in our colours. It is very unlikely.

Toffee ace.

Hello Eds and fellow Blues
Firstly a big thanks to the mighty blues for making my 50th birthday with the two wins

My point is if we and spurs end up in the final Pienaar won't get a medal even though both parent and loan club are there. It 's a shame if it happens that way but he must be regretting that Harry brought him on as a sub and
got him cup tied.

Secondly just because it looks like Regina is now banned for the semi we must stay focused as they will be up for this game more than any other we need to be up for it more, fortunately the last derby is still fresh in the memory and that and a euro place guaranteed and the chance of silverware will be enough . I know it's granny sucking eggs but sometimes it needs saying.

The flip side to my caution is my nephew , who supports the RS has put money on us to win the semi, I asked if it'd was some anti jinx it tactic and he said no I just want to win money.

So there you have it my tired ramblings at the end of a busy weekend.

Big C {Ed003's Note - Happy birthday }

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thanks Ed 3, it was today, you must have got the late shift.
Re my post I don't know who you follow Ed3 but I meant to type Reina and my new ipad must have guessed at Regina and I missed it prior to posting. So apologies he is one of the few of their team I rate and don't wish anyone to think I was making any "Queen" reference about him.

Cheers Big C

Transfer news direct:
Newcastle and Sunderland have been alerted to the fact that Manchester City are open to the prospect of selling Adam Johnson in the summer.

This was taken from Facebook transfer page..if its true I think we need to get in on this one

J0hn80y

Believable1 Unbelievable0

If we cant get landon i agree totally {Ed025's Note - i was a big fan last season...but now not so sure..

Agree0 Disagree0

Still a big fan, give him consistent game time and he would be an England regular, the lad is class, and I don't understand why he doesn't play for City more regularly to be honest, has come up bi for City in some games.

ed im really worried about Drenthe whats the situation hes been our most creative player with osman a close second, can you clear up ed ? cheers jake {Ed002's Note - Drenthe has some matters to deal with as I understand it and is being allowed time to do so.}

The king is getting sacked in the morning lololol, reina outa the semi final {Ed001's Note - Reina being out is a bad thing for Everton, he has been poor this season, Enrique has looked a better keeper already!}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

I agree with you about Reina Ed. He has been poor and has been living off his reputation. {Ed001's Note - he has been poor since his move to Arsenal fell through 2 seasons ago, not sure if it is the change of coach he had then or a long term sulk though!}

Don't know bout anybody else but I am really looking forward to Redsh@te's game today! Watchin Andy Carroll try to play football always cheers me up!!
aflm78

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Today watching the game i genuinely feel sorrow for
1. liverpool - such a great club turned to s**te by spending stupid money on average players, really going to be in trouble if daglish continues on. his transfers are woeful and he looks tactically innept
2. andy carrol - with the stupid price tag on the lad, imagine the pressure on him. he knows he's not a superstar, a good player but the expectation is stupid. happens with many players as well. seeing him steam off this afternoon was honestly sad!

People complaining about mcfadden, did you all forgett that he was arguably Birmingham's best player before he got injured? he was on a free transfer and we have a small squad, also he is probably on a pay as you play deal anyway, it makes complete sense to me

Believable2 Unbelievable2

He's part of the Moyes Dynasty. I'm not complaining

I would like to say, stop moaning about McFadden getting 5mins... When he came on he held the ball passed it to Baines, took a shot. He played well! You should be glad that he played well! Just stop moaning and just remember..... We won!

Believable5 Unbelievable4

He shoudnt get near a 1st team place get real hes finished we should look to the future and play players who can go forward its negative at best bringing him on

Agree0 Disagree0

It isn't the fact that he played decent. It is the fact that McFadden getting 5mins here and there is rather pointless, you may as well give that time to a youngster to gain some experience. Got nothing against McFadden, but it was the definition of a pointless signing.

HESKEY DEAL DONE ON A FREE THIS SUMMER! {Ed025's Note - just cos we are above you in the league, there is no need to invade our pages with such drivel...you really are bitter!!..by the way, i would rather have him than carroll...who this time next year will probably be back selling pegs and lucky heather!..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

We done need.. Scrap that, we don't WANT glass ankles heskey, if you haven't noticed we have had our fair share of players who can't find the goal

Just want to get peoples opinions. just after watching all the matches on sky and am i alone in thinking steven fletcher from wolves would be a great signing in the summer. just looks really clever on the ball and a sweet left foot.

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Would be a good addition to the side but the asking price could be a problem but if they go down which is very likely the most they would get would prob get is 6m but if u haggle maybe 4-5... i cant see them selling him for less as they paid 7-8m for him, but if im being honest i we have 6m i would rather it be spent elsewhere {Ed025's Note - i do like the player, but would not pay 7-8m..

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt Moyes would spend all the money he has (if he does have money) on another striker, might buy a back up, but creative midfielders for me are needed. If we are searching around the relegation teams, would love us to go after the Bolton duo of Stuart Holden and the Korean lad Lee Chung-Yong, both have been seriously missed by Bolton this season, and because they have been out for the season, maybe we could get them for cheap

01 Apr 2012 00:58:27
come on then guys lets be honest at christmas how many of us thought we would be seventh in the table and f a cup semi finalists by the end of march? there were a lot of people thinking we would be in a relegation fight by now! while i didn't think things would be that bad we have pushed on further than i think we all could of thought the january signings have been outstanding daren gibson has breathed new life into felli steven pienar is getting the best out of leighton baines and the jelly man and tim cahill are a dream partnership hell even anichebe is looking good magaye is coming into form and the count is finding his feet all this without mentioning landons contribution lets hope this surge continues and we can win davey and bill a trophy they deserve coyb ........grbefc

Believable5 Unbelievable0

By the way forgot to mention hietinga stunning this year possibly player of the season well done jonny keep it up mate .......grbefc

Agree0 Disagree0

Truly is amazing what new signings do for a club. The trio that have come in, have had a major impact on the club. I just hope Moyes gets the chance to do it again in the summer, because new faces are still needed and maybe that is the potential cure for our slow starts, because we have never really had a good summer in terms of signings.
