I am in the NO to Barton camp, but to honest I don't think it would be in his best interests to return to his home town. Too many old friends and bad influences's. Look what happened last time he came home and went out in town. I think his attitiude is still bad, why else would NU let him go on afree. He was good enough to be picked for England so there is no denying his skill. I just don't want him associated with our club. So no thank you, let somewhere else bear the burden of his bad press.
Sorry if you get this a few times Ed but when I submit I get a message saying the page can't be displayed.
PS Also it's really difficult to re-read your submission because the the text only wraps further out of the box and its difficult to spot typo's {Ed001's Note - sorry we are having server issues right now, luckily our hosting company have a 3 months free deal on servers so we are getting a new one. Just hope we can afford all these extra servers we have had to invest in when the time comes to pay!}

just realised this site must be full ov plazzy evertonians.all saying you hope we sign barton you must be all from darn sarf.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Why does wanting a top class english midfielder on a free transfer make people plastic fans :/

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe only us from outside merseyside can see that we need some bite in midfield. It's not as if we can buy some world class midfielder for £20million, so picking up a decent one free is probably all we can realistically hope for. COYB blue Lee {Ed025's Note - you said it lee..

Barton would be a fantastic addition, just as good as any other english midfielder. Hurry up moyesy

Howard
Nev - Heitinga - Distin - Baines
Barton - Felli - Osman - Holtby
Djalo - Saha/Becks

OUTS: Jags (18m)
INS: Barton(FREE), Holtby(8m), Djalo(8m)

Believable1 Unbelievable5

-Toffeeboy_

Arteta? Cahill? And Djalo would cost more than 8m.

I really hope we sign Barton, tbh what's the worst that could happen, he's on a FREE

We've missed that little bit of fight in midfield ever since Graveson left IMO, Barton would be a great addition to the team

Would the police allow Barton and Bellamy in the same dressing room? Would love to see it happen though. COYB blue Lee

all this talk about Barton being a thug, well lets be honest he is no angel, but he only did as much as Gerrard when he smacked that DJ except that Gerrard usually has a few mates around him when he kicks off incase he has picked on someone a bit handy..
ok Joey has problems buthe is one of our own and if the Sh**te can accept Gerrard without question then we can do the same.

Also remember many other Liverpool players having problems yet their fans stuck by them.. If I listed some of them I would probably not get published cos the Lpool Ed's are watching..

Believable6 Unbelievable2

Yet again another fan turning everything about our club into a Liverpool debate. Why compare the 2?

Btw Gerrard hasnt been to Jail, Gerrard didnt hospitalise a team mate and Gerrard didnt put a cigar out in a YTS's eye.

I know Barton on a personal level and have done since school. He like the rest of his family (Drew being the exception) is rotten to the core.

Judging the intelligence in you post you would probably get on well

Surely with our current financial situation Barton is worth a punt on a free?

I know he would command a decent wage but if we can sign him without a fee would be a great addition.

Can see it happening too...

can we afford to not go for barton sky report hes transfer listed possible free arteta and fellaini both injured again at present
Bellamy doesnt want to go to celtic, he really could be a good loan option mancini doesnt include him in his plans so where else will he go at 30 hes not long term for a lot of clubs now

Believable4 Unbelievable0

That would sort me for our summer spending - Barton and Bellamy.

Pair of gobsh*tes but good players and Moyes wouldn't take any crap from them

Barton - free
Bellamy - loan

Landon in January

Sorted

Agree0 Disagree0

What could Moysy do to keep them in line that other managers haven't tried? both have proved that most footballers are as thick as short planks, all they have to do is tow the line at training and play their best, and these two can't even do that

Big bill {Ed025's Note - at the moment bill, that would not bother me, they would both be good additions to the club...the beauty of it, is that if they overstep the mark, with them being on loan, we can send them back!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but Barton is on a free transfer not a loan

Just a few topics.
- Who would our best options be if we sold one of our players Jags or Rodders most likely so 15-20g?
- We dont need to: i dont know if anyone else sees this the way i do but in my view we dont need to buy players that can come straight into our 11. we have enough established players to have a good crack in the premiership. and i dont know about you guys but i would much prefer to be working on a team with a lot of talent - coleman baines jags barkley fellaini rodwell gueye. id much rather play the players like gueye and barkley and maybe have another season where we finsih 7-10th that can build to be a serious top 5 team, rather than pushing for a europe spot by buying when perhaps we arent good enough which just sees our young players take longer to develop, and intead of going through peaking seasons, we just stay stagnant at our current position.

Heard Joey Barton has been released from Newcastle, we should go for him considering he's free

Yes he's a "bad boy", but so was Dunc, remember. I'd love another Evertonian in the squad, showing his passion for the club

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Dunc was a hard man not a bully.

Joey Barton been told he can leave newcastle on a free so that could be are 1 and only signing of the summer what do ya think Ed?? {Ed001's Note - I think that lad is scum and should not be allowed near any football club, certainly not one with a youth academy that can be tainted by his presence.}

Joey Barton on a free? Bit of a gob on him and used to be a world class s**t bag but seems to have turned over a new leaf. Would any one have him?

Joey Barton, free to leave everton favorites, he is scours i think. Barton, Hargreaves, roe-cocker would all do me bur we need a striker

Believable2 Unbelievable0

-Toffeboy-

Reo-Coker has signed for Bolton, Hargreaves is too injury prone(but a good player) and Barton is a low life scum.

Can we please stop the rumours to every city frindge player. They are out the team for a reason.

Besides which players have to be sold before new players are signed not only to pay the transfer fee but to keep the wages down. We will not pay more on wages than we pay the current players. So if jags does go the combined wage of anyone signed with his transfer money will be no more than the £30k a week he gets.

Dont think we'll sell him for £20m and buy 2 x £10m players as most £10m players will pant at least £40k a week.

Plus the bank will automatically take some of the money to reduce our debts.

Heard there's going to be a protest at the villarreal
Game on Friday, if so I hope everyone gets down and shows kenrite we need a change

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Lets just get this straight, I am not a Kenwright Lover, however what are we going to acheive by carrying out a protest.

Do you think getting rid of Kenwright means that we will suddenly have additional funds to spend?

Love him or Hate him he is running the club as a Business which secures our long term future, which is bright.

Remember Kenwright is the only reason Moyes is still at the club, if he thought Kenwright was pocketing cash then do you think Moyes would still be there?

Hang on in there and wait until the transfer window closes. The most important thing at a club is continuity, No Key Players have left and some talented youngsters coming through.

Remain positive.

Barkley will come through quite quickly, to be honest. It's different to Rodwell who had to adapt to a new position at 16 and is still working his way into it. Ross looks like a proper playmaker with the natural instincts of a midfielder. He moves well off the ball and always wants it. He's a big lad aswell, which helps.

I don't want to get on his case too much, but what does moyes see in victor? Every time vic plays as the main man up front we look like we would never score in a month of sundays. Every time I see Vic in the starting line up as main striker I just groan inside becasue not only will we not score but we will also play rubbish - it seems to infect the team - just like first half vs birmingham. Completely rubbish performance with Vic up front.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

You knew Becks was going to b taken off at ht.Becks at least made the keeper make a save.Should nt the midfield create some chances for the forwards?

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone seems to have jumped on the bandwagon over Victor. There is definitely a player in there, it was only a few years ago we were raving about him. People seem to forget he has had a long time out injured and just when he is getting back to fitness, he gets another niggling injury.
One things for sure, Moyes seems to rate him and I value his opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

We got better players and younger players than Vic. Just because he's stocky and big it means he's supposed to have something "money can't buy".
If he had an average build he wouldn't be at the club because the footballing side of his game is awful

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree and although I don't like to slag him off too much, I've ever seen anyone fluff the lines so much when through on goal. In all honesty if we had money would Vic would be allowed within a hundred mile radius of our squad?..sadly I think not...and he's not the only one. However, when they've got the shirt on, you've got to get behind them...end of.(Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

No bandwagon - just what i see with my own eyes - if theres a player in there let him do it in the reserves until hes scoring at least per game - the first team look rubbish when hes up front - unfortunately this blind spot may be moyes undoing

Everton Team Suggestion

Give Billy a chance in a position he actually plays in just behind the striker he plays there for russia, it would be like a new player and then with gueye on the left Hopefully he will be running defences ragged Everyone knows Billy has it in him COYBB

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Billy is absolutely usless, he's lazy, got no pace and a shocking tackler, all he does is score a spectacular goal every few months, not good enough. He's had 2 years top get used to the EPL. i wouldn't let him drive the bloody team bus he's that bad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not he might be a very good bus driver

Agree0 Disagree0

He's been given enough chances now. I was willing him to step up when Pienaar left but he just didn't do it. We really should sell him this summer, even if we don't sign a winger. I actually think Gueye looks a better prospect than Billy anyway.

I don't get why we're being linked with a £10m move for Samba, I mean seriously if he was available for £10m, wouldn't Arsenal just go for him?
IF we got offered £18m for Jags, I'd accept.
Sign Samba for £10m and Djalo for £8m
