It's frightening when you look at Davies this lad is only 18 years old and looks like he has been playing this level for years, he is going to get much better thank god he plays for Everton.

{Ed025's Note - he was good tonight stef..

01 Feb 2017 22:26:25

No shame in taking a point away to Stoke, I'm happy with the point roll on Saturday COYB

Last season had we gone one down against Stoke it would have been game over. Have a lot more about us now.

True mate Koeman takes no prisoners and won't carry passengers the players know now they have to put in a shift now no more sulking on the pitch, or it's the highway for them and rightly so.

With our next 3 fixtures and the results of those ahead of us, we will take that point. Actually quite an entertaining game. Anyway. Win the next 3 very winnable games, given the stuttering form of Liverpool, Utd, Arsenal, Spurs we could be right up in it by the end of February. So important we see this as a point gained and keep the positives from the last few weeks. Very few leave stoke with anything. Good point

Agree was a hard fought point tho. Thought robles was outstanding. Kept us in the game at times.

01 Feb 2017 22:19:05
Agree, I keep waiting for Robles and funes mori to screw up but they are starting to look solid together.

We lack a cutting edge we should start lookman at home and leave Mirallas on bench. We need more from Lukaka as well. Coleman now he is a real man .

01 Feb 2017 21:57:51
Think We looked tighter with back 4 after half time. Always tough to go stoke, especially winter. Think they will take points off some big sides.

On we move to Bournemouth at home. Let's have 4 goals. Baines pen and lukaku hat trick.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - tight game that geoff, we were decent second half for me and i thought looky looked good when he came on..decent point..

01 Feb 2017 22:07:47
I'll tell you what man utd look catchable now. A draw with stoke will be a good result if we can beat Bournemouth at the weekend. aside from up front we look solid.

So bad I actually fell asleep.
Rubbish all the way through.
Schniederlin was way off we had zero spark

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - i thought we were decent second half after a very poor first ant..

01 Feb 2017 21:57:54
Schneiderlin likes to move the ball quickly and with some quality. not sure which game you were watching ant but a point away to Stoke is nothing to be sniffed at.

01 Feb 2017 21:58:06
Need to sort out this sloppy start to games. Good point at Stoke and still only 5pts behind Utd.

01 Feb 2017 21:58:16
Schniedelin was our best player.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2017 22:03:02
Only seen second half. Thought Schniederlin was good considering it was his first full game. We look a quarter yard off the pace. If we get that split second into imho we will be very good. Sign Koeman is getting his game into action. Decent enough result.

01 Feb 2017 22:13:22
For me everton always look to be playing with a lead ball. short passes slow passes missed passes.

And God corners are bad

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - bit harsh that ant, not at our best tonight i agree but we looked good in patches for me mate..

01 Feb 2017 22:48:49
Better 2nd half. We now have a manager who sees something and changes it, brown shoes would never have taken holgate off at half time. Coyb

Neville who?
Robles keeping us in it, defence at times is shambolic, with the
emphasis on bolic.

Should be good with Davies and Schneiderlin in the middle of the park. Lots of energy.

Only watched this first half so far but Schneiderlin lucky not to been booked.
We look a little disjointed defensively. Maybe switch to 4 at the back and 4 in midfield to combat width.

At least Seamus can do it on a windy wednesday in stoke. as they say.

Coleman about to play his 200th game as a blue. He deserves a standing ovation tonight. that's a massive achievement and i for 1 am glad he's a blue. Hopefully the team will bag all 3 points and make it a night for him to remember.

I love the positivity on here at the minute. I just hope we can continue to be supportive of we have a bit of a bad run. It's a work in progress and will take a couple more transfer windows for rk to have the complete squad he wants.

Combined with New stadium we could be ready to challenge and even infiltrate the top 4/ 6

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - lets hope so geoff..

01 Feb 2017 07:38:13
ed 25 think most of us would liked another striker but overall been good window

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - another striker would have been nice bretto but ronnie did say that if he could not get the players he wanted then he would not just buy for buyings sake, he wants players who will improve the squad and i applaud him for that mate..

01 Feb 2017 12:16:40
Hi Ed I would just like to say I am glad R K chose not to sell Jimmy Mac as he sees him as an important player for us, good on him cheers, GuernseyBlue

Believable1 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2017 13:55:34
Agreed GuernseyBlue. There might be room for him yet. He may improve under Koeman. God knows our defense are totally different under Koemans guidance.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2017 15:12:26
Said right at the beginning that Koeman would not sell him and my reasons were exactly as Koeman has outlined. A. He is a good player. B. He has the engine that Koeman requires in his system. C. Most important of all the modern game is a Squad game requiring at least 2 players for every position of equal or near as damn it.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2017 15:48:39
Agreed bigduncsmum. As well as the engine he tries his hardest. He will work hard for the team. Which seems to be as much a neccesity to Koeman as being a quality player.

It's easy to see what's happened in this transfer window. Koeman has spring cleaned the house, and has it ready for some quality furniture moving in in the summer. COYB

Be a bit more respectful to our Everton players please

Agree2 Disagree2

01 Feb 2017 10:11:13
Uran. Mushy is only saying it as he and others see it. We have got rid of a lot of players who won't play for us again. it's called dead wood.

Agree2 Disagree1

01 Feb 2017 11:35:02
I am with Uran on this. We pride ourselves on being a real "club" and as an example I will suggest what we did with Jose Baxter and also with the little Sunderland kid makes us somewhat different to top4 plc or united corporate business teams. I understand what Mushy means of course but we should show a little respect. Players such as Barkley have had a tough time from some fans and I will quote my old point on this whereby Osman was treated terribly by some fans. a one club player who averaged 6 goals a season and never once asked for aa transfer. just did his job when asked to. Hibbert would run through nuclear powerstations never mind walls for Everton Football CLUB! So yes I agree we should all show a little respect to players who are leaving us. We should wish them well and hope they go on to have successful careers as long as they do us no damage in games. When you look at some of the mercenaries around. eg Payet and the likes. our loyal players tend to keep quiet and do their jobs. we should respect themfor that.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2017 12:15:26
I don't think it is being disrespectful, it's just a term used within football to describe disposable players, the ones that are not going to feature under the new manager. Nothing to get het up by really.
Degsy, on the subject of Payet, I wouldn't call him a mercenary tbh. He has rejoined an inferior league for less wages because he wants to be happy with his family. The press have twisted the story and people have jumped on the bandwagon. Now if he had joined a Chinese club then I could agree he was doing it for the cash but he actually had to pay back half a million in wages just to push through the move.

Agree1 Disagree1

01 Feb 2017 12:57:41
Like I said. although other clubs and the media use the term "dead wood". we are Everton and I hope we use the term ex-player. I would love to see any one of you say to Big Dunc that he was no longer needed because he is dead wood. Point made?

Agree1 Disagree2

01 Feb 2017 14:06:45
A lot of wages on players who love the treatment room. Gibson got paid about a hundred grand per minute played and contract extensions. Fair play to the lot of em, but definitely deadwood.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2017 19:48:38
We'll have to agree to disagree Degs, I don't think it is meant in a disrespectful way and, as I said, it's a general football term. In addition, Gibson played around 60 games in total over 4 years so, in his case, the term is more than acceptable. I'm respectful to our ex players but I have no problem using such a term.
