Agree with the posts below; Allardyce needs to be quiet regards Everton, absolute waste of space and well paid for it!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2019 19:27:32
Alardyce waste of space gets us to 8th. Silva currently 8th but apparently acceptable if he has us top 10.

{Ed025's Note - come on DFS you cant surely be lauding up sam, i know its not been great under marco lately but at least we have tried to play football and go out to win games mate, sure we need to improve and after a bright start we have regressed somewhat, but lets give him and brands a fair crack of the whip otherwise we will be changing the manager on a weekly basis..

01 Feb 2019 19:56:49
Blimey dfs at least we are playing footy worth watching.

Agree2 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 20:00:28
I think the football we are playing at the moment is terrible and boring I'm not sticking up for Sam but you can't say it's very entertaining.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its not at the moment skylark and thats a fair point, but we started out well and even though we have regressed we do set up to win games, there has been so much change and i think we need to give him time to turn things around imo mate..

01 Feb 2019 20:17:41
Just a dose of reality Ed. Many things said about the man, controversial yes but such stuff as corrupt etc totally wrong. Got going into details but watch his interview with the media sting on England for instance. As to football the fella has never been relegated and remember we wanted him not him wanting us, he was brought in to do a job and he did it. He is not a neanderthal, for instance do you or others know that he and his philosophy was actually one of the first to introduce sports phsycology into the system. On the evidence and hand on heart is Silva better than Alardyce or Martinez. A couple of sycophants on here to be honest.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you have pointed out a few of the positive things about sam there DFS, if i had a year or 2 i would point out the negatives of this fraud and charlatan mate..

01 Feb 2019 20:20:37
Incidentally Ed, I think Brands with his contacts is an excellent appointment, my only criticism is I cannot work out on what basis he recommended Silva to the board.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im thinking he knows more than us DFS...at least i hope so mate..

01 Feb 2019 20:37:38
Seriously please do Ed, point out the fraud and charlaton like episodes in the mans past. Blackburn (yes we know about his private life) undermined by a real Charlaton and where is he now, that is a waste of space. Bolton did the job, Crystal Palace did the job, England did the job, undermined because he is not a yes man, what did he do wrong, took an interview organised by his agent, told the sting merchants (on Camera) you will have to discuss that with my current employers. In my younger years I was 'head hunted' (to use a modern term) , but on the basis the 'hunters' dealt with my employers. Some of you have probably supported this Club longer than me (60 years and counting) but I do support them and always will. Our direction worries me, it really does and 4 Managers in 4 years is worrying and honestly it is still not done.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats my point mate, we need to stabilize and give silva a fair crack..

01 Feb 2019 21:01:14
Methinks DFS so vehemently defending the Honour (? ) of Fat Sam is really because DFS is in fact Fat Sam himself ;-p.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 21:08:53
As for GB's 'blimey DFS at least we are playing football worth watching'. No we should be playing football that is winning football, I go to see my Team win, I played Sport to win, I encourage my Grandson to play sport to win. The difference between sport and business/ career is in sport you play to win without thinking about please/ thankyou/ how are you etc!

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 21:10:18
Still not pointed out the fraud or charlaton part of Sams CV ed.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would have to tell his life story DFS.. :)

01 Feb 2019 21:42:47
Please do Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im considering your request mate..

01 Feb 2019 23:17:01
Not being funny Ed, still waiting your response. But the fact is about Alardyce is all about conjecture, rumour and false accusations. The bloke is a professional, he was a crap footballer but his can label regarding coach/ manager is spot on. Ask the FA how much they had to pay him. I guarantee an absolute fortune.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - actually that is not true, he was caught redhanded taking bungs on a TV show. He claimed he would sue but never did because he is guilty. No rumour, no conjecture nor false accusations. You are outright lying in a bid to back up a thief as some kind of hero. Some of your posts are interesting, but defending Allardyce on this particular level is just idiotic. He was caught redhanded. He lost the England job for doing something equally as distasteful.

Defend his tiresome style of playing if you must, but to defend him on this front is just making you look a tired troll.}

02 Feb 2019 09:17:36
His pro Allardyce and anti Everton rhetoric is getting tedious now. He can't see what millions of others see re Allardyce and he constantly slags off the club he claims he supports because they don't do what he thinks they should.

Being reported Leighton and Gueye to be assessed b4 the game with Jags and Mina out injured, be a big loss if Leighton can't play with Mina out as well,

Believable1 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2019 19:21:28
Mina is not a loss other than the only other replacement for Baines with Digne banned. Mina another stupid buy (40 mill ) based on his goal against England. P'd off about Bainsy being out.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 22:17:36
I know you're incredibly negative about every possible aspect of Everton Football Club DFS but it's a bit bizarre to over inflate prices we paid for people to emphasise your point? Or am I mistaken and we did pay 40 million for Mina?

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 22:29:50
Toffeewavey, You talk rubbish mate. I support everything there is to be about this Club, what I do, do though is criticise what I see is bad appointments that will come to bite us in the rear end. I find it strange that 8th under Sam was a failure but top 10 under this fraud is success.

According to Wiki €30m TW which is about £26m.

02 Feb 2019 08:16:15
Am gunna say brands is better than to have signed him because he scored past England haha he's a baby by CB standards and given time could become a top CB, GIVEN TIME! I feel like I say them Words more than I say hello, 8th under Sam wasn't a failure but Sam's style of football if u can call it that was what failed him, people have realised its gunna take time to sort the club out mate sooner u realise it the happier u will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Feb 2019 09:36:16
Why are we writing players off after a dozen games?
And Silva also? He has managed in the prem for a season and a half. Let's give him a chance to learn and grow with us. He is young and likes to play football. Whether he is the right man or not, nobody on here is clever enough to know that yet.
One thing this man will do and that is he will end our poor runs against the top 6 teams, as he sets up to win games no matter who we play.
Let's not forget how we played against Arsenal, city, liverpool and Chelsea this season. With a bit of good fortune we could have won most of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 15:30:42
Think we will lose tomorrow against a very dangerous/ good Wolves team under a good manager. & in particular a certain young player by the name of 'Neves' who in my opinion is the best/ finest young player in PL at the moment and destined for great things. we should be busting a gut to sign him in the summer, but would probably cost in excess of 50/ 60 million.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2019 15:46:51
Is that the same Wolves that lost to Palace 2-0,City 3-0,and only drew with Shrewsbury 2-2 by any chance, c'mon give our lads some Credit.

Agree6 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 16:32:05
Yeah, well, on current we could only just scrape past bottom of the table Huddersfield Town, so we shall see in due time. & in any case, I’m just really pointing out the talent of a certain player called ‘Neves’ who has impressed me greatly this season!

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 16:58:17
I see nothing but a win for us tomorrow. We will tame the Wolves.

I think what GB is saying is let’s not write the boys off before a ball is kicked and that every team can win a match so let’s give them some support.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 18:58:40
I hope the players don't feel your faith Shakey. A sure way off dampening their confidence.

Too right Southern mate, that's the last thing the Team needs mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 19:15:38
What I will say is appalled at Silva or is it Brands farming out Benny to Wigan, this is some talented lad, I rate him above Davies, makes the runs but with his head up. As I have mentioned before, got to put it down to Managers favourites. Prediction in DM against Wolves (where speed of pass and foot is required) we will have Davies dropped, Gomez and Gueye in. One who slows the game down so much I can pop out for a pie and the other guaranteed to pass to the opposition.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 19:45:39
I think we should leave team selection to Marco, far better informed than any of us mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 21:47:20
Wolves are a very good side and way ahead of where we are now in their first season back. We have the players I am convinced, to drive us forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 21:54:29
Hard for you to watch these lads GB, my opinion is that Benny is a step above Davies.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i must admit i do like benny as well DFS, in fact we have some very good youngsters at the club..

02 Feb 2019 08:19:19
Beni is a great talent but why wouldn't u give him 6 months at Wigan to get first team football? Didn't do Harry kane any harm going out on loan did it.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Feb 2019 08:39:28
Beni is young and needs to keep improving so I agree, a loan out for 6 months will do him good.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 14:58:16
Wolves are very dangerous, both in real life and the Football Club this season in the Premier League. They have some pace about them and some very skillful players who can cause teams problems. Tomorrow will be a tough game for us no doubt, but if we keep the errors to a minimum I think we should have enough to get the 3 points.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2019 15:53:49
They are BigH mate, but I think also we can win it.

Agree2 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 14:33:21
., I thought no there's a real chance/ opportunity now for young Tom Davies to stake his claim in this Everton team, always liked him as a player and just have this nagging feeling he could yet become a star player for us and country under the right mentoring and stewardship.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2019 12:21:34
Being reported today tha Guyre is very upset at not being allowed to leave in this transfer window after he had put in a request, hope he won't throw his toys out the Pram when he plays for us, that's the last thing we need is to have an unhappy player.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2019 12:48:29
Let's hope he doesn't and respects the club that gave him his dream move from Villa, if he proves he is good enough in the remaining games for Everton his chance may come again, he looks an extremely professional man and hopefully respect who's paying his wages and to the supporters that has shown him a lot of love and encouragement from the word go. But I am sure he will be sought out in training by Furguson and Silva.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 13:49:01
Easy play Davies if he sulks.

Agree2 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 14:39:55
I can understand him being upset GB, that's to be expected, but I don't think he will sulk too much. Or at least I hope not. It's in his own best interest not to rock the boat. If he does start playing badly he'll be dropped and if he gets dropped he can forget about attracting similar interest in the Summer Window. I know we have some cover if he is dropped, but remember one of them is Morgan S. urgh! ;-p.

I do wish Sam Allardyce would stop giving his opinion on Everton, it really pi. me off when I read he said, that Everton should have done this, that or the other, we don't need your opinion anymore, stop taking about a club that paid you a handsome fortune to manage for 6 months. Show a bit of respect Mr. Allardyce.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2019 11:32:22
The problem is Uran when he was with us, he would always reference Palace so expect it to continue until he gets employed and sacked again.

Ridiculous post dc.

01 Feb 2019 12:37:45
Everton treated him like rubbish if so then how did he treat his England's managers Job! I notice he doesn't comment on Southgate squad.
He got well paid for doing the Everton job, what was always going to be an interim job for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 13:26:33
Not ridiculous at all, the Club wanted him until the end of the season, sam negotiated an 18 month contract. The Club sacked him and quite rightly paid him his contract due.

01 Feb 2019 13:43:07
That's the way I see it, well compensated.

01 Feb 2019 09:48:32
Will be interesting to see how Batshuayi does at palace. I believe it’s a loan so there is a chance to go back in the summer or we may have other targets. No panic. give Cenk a run of games, work with what we have at see where we are at the end of the season.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2019 07:49:02
Really really pleased we didn't buy anyone in this window, this will give our squad the confidence boost.
These January signings never seem to work out quick enough for the team.
We have top youngster ready to be groomed in now.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - not the greatest choice of words uran, but i know what you mean mate.. :)

01 Feb 2019 08:48:55
Yes I can now see what you mean Ed after ready it again sorry over that word not appropriate in this day and age.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no problem mate..

01 Feb 2019 09:24:00
We didn't need to buy this window our squad is capable of finishing top 10 and top 4 is probably well out of reach so the season is pretty much done. I like the fact that some of the youngsters have been sent out on loan to gain experience and we are trying to shift some of the unwanted players. Now let's see what Silva can do with this squad until the end of the season.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 09:47:47
The only problem with not signing anyone is the first team players know there place is safe. Bring in the youth and make the first team play for there places.

Agree3 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 11:49:56
We need a proven goal scorer and Batshuayi has had enough chances to prove that he isn't prolific.
Richarlison looks like he might get 20 this season so we need someone who can equal or better that.
Otherwise we may as well leave him there and spend the cash on a right winger who can get 10 goals a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 12:42:08
I doubt many of them know there safe. If they don't measure up for the rest of the season then their gone. Think this summer will see a big change at the club. By sending out the younger players on loan will give them an idea who will potentially progress, and who won't cut it. Also think spending all that money on Batshuai would have been a waste. The guy hasn't actually shined for Chelsea, which is why there getting rid.

So happy about buying that striker we desperately needed. NOT! 5 outgoings none in. Had real chance of getting 7th if we brought in a decent goal scorer. Going to really struggle now.
Unless big Dunc gets he's boots back on.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Couldn't disagree more, no one who would improve us was available so why spend?

Agree4 Disagree1

01 Feb 2019 07:15:53
Well that's about the only thing Silva has got right this season when he said no new signings, so let's see the season out and finish in 7th place.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 07:48:03
We have Cenk, DCL and Richarlison can play up top, plus now we have nothing to play for throw a few youngsters in. No need to panic buy.

Agree2 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 09:40:12
There's no reason why we carnt finish in the top 10 kingpin or even the top 7 mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 10:14:58
Do you know what, although I can't say that I enjoy watching performances like the Millwall game, overall Silva is trying to get us playing a different way. and right from the off. Where as our last two managers (and I'm not including Allardyce) took over our team and had a successful first season, they then tried to get those players to change what they were good at second season. Along with making some unsuccessful signings (Koeman particularly) it both ended up with them failing. Silva is supposedly having a bad first season, but I feel has bought in better quality players. We're still top 8! Let him get another summer under his belt, more players to play his way and then judge him. I'd prefer progression season on season rather than the regression we've had previously. If it doesn't improve next season then surely that's the time to question. Wasn't it similar with Moyes first and second seasons?

Agree3 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 11:49:58
Maybe no signings because even Moshiri realises he has to get rid of manager in the summer, just a thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Feb 2019 00:36:29
Not a bad transfer window, managed to get a few out on loan, Gaye will go in the summer but certainly closer to Everton's asking price.

Tosun should be given an extended run until the summer, see if he can save us a few bob, Benni will get game time at Wigan.

All in all no last minute panics.

As for the window itself, I think Sunderland have done well to get Will Griggs from Wigan, decent player there, bought for peanuts in today's prices.
