Now that the silly season is upon us would someone be so kind as to tell this fat, bald, grumpy old git how the transfer market works.
I like you all know that it is the buying and selling of players but what I don't know is
1) if we wanted to buy a player who was not for sale or on the transfer market do we still need permission from the club to speak to him directly?
2) how do we know who the players agent is? does a directory exist that names each agent and the players they represent?
3) Is it possible for a player to turn professional and not have an agent?
4) Would life not be a lot easier if each club had their own agents that the players had to sign up with, when a player gets sold he switches agents to the buying club.

Message to Rom: take a look at the way Tom Cleverly has handled his move from Everton and the totally class message he has sent upon leaving, that's the way to leave a great club like ours and be welcomed back when your new club visits Goodison. I for one wish Tom Cleverly all the best (except against us obviously) for the future.

Rom has done nothing wrong. he's banged in more goals than any other player for 25 years, He has always been respectful towards the club and has put up with some moronic fans over the years giving him crap. I know this is a rumours / gossip page but be considerate to the rest of us.

Spot on Toffeeal, I said something similar on another site and you would have thought I broke wind in the middle of a Mecca bingo game when they were playing the National game with some of the reactions I got.
cannot knock his goals but just once in those 4 years, it would have been nice for Rom to thank the club and its supporters instead of constant International break rants, that's all we are asking Rom, the fans and the club deserve that, big thumbs up to Tom Cleverly, sheer class and nice departing thank you.
