Wrote a big post about my disappointment but it deleted itself for some reason.

Came in from the pub and told my Mum how i'm a part of this great forum, and all she said was:

"I bet the only thing you can comment is Martinez out, out, out" and I honestly can't disagree with her. When Barkley went off, all I saw was apathy from his body language.

This isn't a heat of the moment thing. Its bad, very bad. First game I've seen all season (industry I work in means I work every weekend) and that was so sad to watch. Sat with a couple of kopites and even they felt sorry.

Dont know anymore, when we lose, I don't care, how sad is that?

Believable6 Unbelievable0

{Ed033's Note - i suppose it's possible that the players could bounce back from that and play well next match and for the remainder of the games this season, but i think psychologically it could be difficult to do so.

I also wonder whether kenwright's confidence in Roberto Martinez has started to wobble yet.

21 Apr 2016 00:14:01
Could happen, Ed, very true!

But objectively, speaking is that clutching at straws a little? Apologies for what I said, Ed, I can see how it would have come as disrespectful in the original post. Believe me when I say I never want to see a player go through an injury like that.

Fair play to the Reds too, as much as I hate to say it, I love the way Klopp has them playing. Testament to his skills as a manager. Wish them all the best in the Semi Final.

What i'd give for a half competent manager. Sad thing is, even IF Martinez goes, why would any of our big players want to stay in this shambles?

I wasnt one of you tonight, but a big thank you to Besic for coming over to thank the fans at the end of the game. Give me 10 more players with his passion and ill be okay.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - All i'm saying is that it's possible the Everton players could have been affected mentally, which could negatively affect the rest of the games this season.

21 Apr 2016 01:00:01
Trouble is ed that there's barely any players to bounce back.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - Let's see next game what happens.

20 Apr 2016 23:17:13
Ed. Why is everything on Other Posts?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed003's Note - not everything is}

20 Apr 2016 23:52:32
A he'll of a lot is Ed, bit dissapointed tonight with what appears as censorship of posts off the main Banter site.

For example
Be polite but complain about mismanagement of club by ringing

0151 556 1878

Not really anarchy is it?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - Not at all mushy, I deleted a post that you put up because it could leave us libelous,phone whoever you want if you think it will make one bit of difference.}

21 Apr 2016 00:27:31
Thanks Ed,
Not sure what you meant by libelous, we're customers complaining about a product, end of.
But thanks for posting, now come on customers, complain!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - No probs good luck at the weekend.}

20 Apr 2016 23:00:31
I can't put it into words. It couldn't have been any worse really. Why would we let him manage the semi final.

Let's get rid put Unsworth or Ferguson in place until the end of the season.

I just can't say anymore right now. I've got nothing left.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

20 Apr 2016 22:59:59
And just who would want to step into the Everton job? Angry players wanting to leave, no spirit or drinve.

I mean, someone with a good track record and experience, not some retread who has coached 3 other teams in the PL?

Does BK have someone on speed dial?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Get Murf to put a bet on, saying RM will still be manager next season.

RM will get sacked tomorrow, guaranteed :-)

Believable3 Unbelievable0

20 Apr 2016 23:54:05
Please God.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 22:49:41
Are any of us really that surprised with that score line? We weren't at the races at 2 down so to lose a man for a stupid unnecessary challenge is just a kick in the balls. So what now for RM?
I think the board should have acted after Saturday, that result meaning we will finish this season will the least amount of points at home was grounds for dismissal in my eyes. We have not progressed, as RM stated we would when he rode into town, we have actually gone backwards. Not only has he failed with his tactics on the pitch, his comments, by and large, have rubbed a lot of the fans up the wrong way. To be fair, he didn't say a lot wrong tonight but even he couldn't put any positive spin on the shambles we had the misfortune to witness.
The club has been in dire need of a lift for the last month or so. It is blatantly obvious that he is just not good enough to manage us. We missed a trick by letting him still be in charge for tonight's game and I hope we do not repeat this mistake and leave him there for the semi.
Even with 11 players we were woeful. The passing was sloppy and lethargic, movement from throws was terrible, nobody really wanted to show. Too many thinking of the trip to Wembley? Final part of rant, sorry people! What was Mori doing holding out the badge? He's just been sent off with a two goal deficit leaving his team mates in the lurch for 40 mins or so. It's hard being a blue at times.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

21 Apr 2016 06:24:37
Tuesday night I thought we would put out a weakened side thinking about the semi on Saturday so I put a little bet on 4-0 Liverpool. When I saw the line up I was quite surprised and stupidly enough confident we could get something. Like 99% of fans this morning I have woken up still disgusted with the way we played and the result. Even some of my mates who are Liverpool supporters actually feel sorry for us rather than Brag about the result. With morale amongst the fans, players, former players and probably backroom staff at an all time low surely its best to make a change and give the new manager a bit of time to get to know the players before pre-season?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you were lucky there devon..it could have been 8 nil, and probably should have been..

20 Apr 2016 22:38:15
I know RM must go and I'm not going to defend him but as soon as he finishes his team talk the squad leave the changing room, walk out onto the field to perform. This season, the majority have not. Absolutely no guts in the players and that is something that cannot be coached. Martinez will take the fall for the team and in many aspects rightly so but a lot of the squad should take a long look at themselves.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

20 Apr 2016 23:36:03
Er like (once again) a defender marks a forward by standing in front of him.
Better still allows a free header in the six yard box.
Staggering, sorry guys but how many times do these guys defend the worst manager this club has had since Walker?

{Ed003's Note - A lot of repetitive posts are going on to the 'other' page as we do with all the main club sites on nights like this mushy.}

20 Apr 2016 21:50:57
For those of you enduring this live, this appears to be the lowest point in recent Everton history. Would that assessment be correct?

Believable11 Unbelievable0

20 Apr 2016 22:00:53
The whole season has been a disappointment. this man has reduced the team to a soft touch.

Agree4 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 22:01:32
I am certain a certain coach could call this a learning experience, the team can grow from this, things can only get better from here, the sun will rise, we are only scratching the surface of our potential, a few breaks went against us (37 shots against only 3) , we tried not to play possession football and see what happened.

Just who will play center-back on Saturday?

Agree1 Disagree2

20 Apr 2016 22:02:09
Totally agree mate my biggest concern is I'm not surprised at what has just happened.

Agree3 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 22:03:01
I remember Walter Smiths last games and feeling similar. Then Moyes came in and turned things around over 11 years. All that work has been wasted in 3 very quickyears under this manager. I really fear for us next season. I won't go on about signings and unbalanced squad and lack of goals other than Lukaku and Barkley. I will just say so much damage has been done that we need a huge overhall of the squad.

Agree5 Disagree2

20 Apr 2016 22:11:18
After tonight I can understand why you would say that Degsy, but I think a decent manager and a couple of signings and we will be sound.

Agree1 Disagree4

20 Apr 2016 22:28:13
Players and managers come and go (some not as quick as we want) but the fans have been and will always be here. Let's be honest we not had much to show over the resent years but this club even though it almost kills me at times is the first love of my life and it will be a cold day in hell before me and the rest of the blue family let this club be a laughing stock. So yes Blues the next few days will be let's say bit tough as the Reds will have a lot to say but just be thankful you was born a blue. To every Everton fan out there let's hope that soon we have the manager that will take us back to where we belong.

Agree3 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 22:31:28
No good bringing in a dutch manager now, these managers from overseas can only tinker with good squads and make them better. Everton is in a worse mess than when Smith was manager, therefore this is a complete rebuild who better than Moyes.

Agree1 Disagree2

20 Apr 2016 22:33:05
To late RM made it a laughing stock tonight! It's down to the board to find a way to restore out pride.

Everton FC commentary, (Quote)
'This is embarrassing'.
For the love of God how can he remain after Saturday?
Left to me and the vast majority of supporters, he should be sacked tomorrow and to hell with Wembley!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

20 Apr 2016 21:49:52
Totally agree. I think sacking him would lift the team. a complete and utter fraud. he has to be sacked. if he had any decency he'd walk.

Agree7 Disagree1

20 Apr 2016 21:56:32
totally agree Mush, get big Dunc looking after the team until the end of the season, he needs to go in the morning, i'd rather have Mike Walker back.

Agree5 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 21:58:49
Agree Mushy. Would be better going to Wembley with no manager, than with this idiot in charge. At least the players would try for each other.

Agree4 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 21:59:10
I know we had the red card but the game was heading that way before the red. He has to go.

Agree3 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 21:59:31
Totaly agree the man has no foresight, tactical skill and even worse no back up to help him make his mind up.
The team is un ballanced, undecided, and under trained to the extent they can't put in more than sixty minutes of all out football, then the dodgy substitutions occur.
Get rid of this fraud NOW.

Agree3 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 22:02:29
A cartaker or an undertaker that's our only hope. He has completely lost the changing room stadium and even the carpark. If he lasts till Saturday we have a spineless board.

Agree3 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 22:32:34
Yes lads sack him tonight and put dunc in charge on Saturday.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 23:50:02
Cop on lads big dunc things are bad enough. No experience forget it. Martinez will b here till end of season simple as. We need quality manager and
at least 6 quality players.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Apr 2016 13:05:31
Somehow Mr Martinez will come out of this with his star just slightly dimmed. He lost the majority of the fans months ago and for that we were criticised by others some of whom Ed's. It is plain to see from this that he has also lost the players. We absolutely have nothing to lose now, we cannot be relegated so no reason whatsoever for him to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 21:17:34
Terrible substitution.

Believable8 Unbelievable0

20 Apr 2016 20:29:12
We need to pressure the ball quicker they're getting to much time on the ball and push up.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

20 Apr 2016 20:53:47
I agree, lukaku & Ross don't do any off the ball work.
Liverpool look miles fitter and hungaryier, stones is pants again AND it's two nil. I wonder what Moyse is thinking! we look so lost, surely martinez has to walk now or at least after the semi final.

Agree5 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 20:53:53
We were sitting deep for the counter and have let them dominate!
In the past to get any success we need to give them no time on the ball!

Agree5 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 21:14:43
Wonder who's going to play centre back with stones against Man U with Mori getting himself sent off. I hope Jags can get back in time.

Agree2 Disagree1

20 Apr 2016 21:24:39
For most of the season, we have been slow to get out the box, applied too little pressure to our opponents on the ball, and I'm sick of seeing 3 defenders take on our single centre forward. stretch a back 4 with two strikers! Additionally, there is more often than not a gulf of space between lukaku and his next team mate. so it's no wonder we struggle to hold the ball up. Additionally, how many times this season do I have to witness players being in marked, or unmarshalled in the box. for the second goal Ross just has to close down . he stands there watching. yes the players are to blame. but for me it all stems from the manager. I've had enough of this man. it's beyond a joke, his tactics, his arrogance, his lack of compromise and the drivvel that he tries to spoon feed us. I alwlays state I could not train a team BUT I am fairly certain I could pick a best 11 and get the tactics correct more often than this man is. quite simply he is a fraud.

Agree4 Disagree0

20 Apr 2016 21:26:42
Besic and Barry.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Apr 2016 19:08:47
lets have it right this seasons a write off doesn't really matter what happens in the last few games the damage has well and truly been done ed, yea the cup would be fantastic but what will be will be. We are in a great place with a new owner and hopefuly a new manager in the summer, we can kick on and have the title back at goodison were it belongs before 2020, so if we get tonked tonight just remember the futures bright . COYB.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Apr 2016 21:27:58
The trouble will be finding the best replacement for RM. If we don't find the right manager several players won't be planning on staying. I've been slated before but I don't mind admitting I would have been happy with Benitez. Whether he would have come or not though is debatable.

20 Apr 2016 17:38:31
I agree Stig, he also said that the majority know his plan and we will progress but it takes time. Hate to be pessimistic but in reality RM took over a top regular top 7 side, that was settled with a solid defence. He has taken that Squad in particular the defence and with his philosophy squeezed the confidence out of them. Now having said that, no matter the results from now until the end of the season we have to get behind the Team we just have to.

The battle for a top place is over.
I expect the Battle of Merseyside is about to begin.
Upon this battle depends the survival of our, bragging rights tomorrow'.
The whole fury and might of the enemy must soon be turned on us.

Klopp knows he will have to break us at Anfield or lose the 'Cocky attitude'.

If we can stand up to him we may be free and the life of all of us may move forward into the broad sunlit uplands.

But if we fail then our whole world (including yer mates) will fall into a deep, dark abyis.

So let us brace ourselves, (come all out behind that sofa) for if we win all blues will say,

'This was our finest hour! '

My Dutch isn't great PB but I think I've got the gist of this. RM wants De Boer as a player, he hasn't played for a while due to retirement but he will fit in with the philosophy that the majority of fans believe is working! If the deal can't be done, he is looking at either Koeman or Jose as back up.

Today and the weekend are nothing to do with RM. I honestly couldn't give a monkeys about him fir, the next few days.

I love our club with every fibre in me and so my usual miserable posts are changing to more bullish positive tone.

We may be underdogs and going through a really bad time but we are Everton. One of the greatest football clubs in the world with a history that only a select few can better.

We follow our club through thick and thin and when we are needed most we stand by it shoulder to shoulder. We don't hide through fear. We face it, stand tall and fight for our honour.

Tonight we will do battle again against adversity and as our proud history shows whatever that obstacle is we can over come it. I believe we can. Not because of a player or manager but because of who we are together.

Tonight, together we shall be and tonight we shall show the world WE ARE EVERTON!

Watched the game verses Palace last night again. Lukaku's first touch and general play is just terrible. I know he scores goals and that is his major role but if he wants to be a top player (which he already is in his own mind and according to his agent) he has to improve the rest of his game. However Kone is worse and he doesn't score goals.

So Roberto is saying that the vast majority of blues supporters can see his plan and obviously the rest of us (the minority) must be be numpties.
Well sorry, you can. (sorry not going to get offensive there and be banned) .
Let's see RM over the next defining two games what plans you have.
For me, I'm slipping on some very new, fetching brown underpants for tomorrow, me thinks I'll have got my money's worth!

just read a quote from deboer days after monk was sacked from swansea "i would like to work in the premier league and would be intrested in the swansea job but have a year left at ajax so its wait and see. so there you have it blues he would like to work in the prem and would have taken the swansea job so the year must be nearly up now so come on everton get going. if he was intresred in the swansea job then he must definitely fancy the everton job IF it becomes available.
