I think Nicky Maynard is an obvious attacking option for the January window if our funds are low as usual. Any thoughts?

At the back of my mind is a thought about how Moyes would do with some cash to spend. All our best players have been home grown or very cheap and the expensive players, a bit naff (Billy, Fellani)

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Fellaini naff your talking c### hes a defensive midfielder whos being asked to create and score goals because of are lack of creativity

Do we have better individual players than Norwich and Swansea? Most certainly yes! Then why can't we play attractive, attacking football like they do?

Kenwright has said there will be money to spend in january! I think we will buy a striker and get donovan back on loan! And thats it! Ill be happy with that!

being linked with a few players some are wingers whod you all rather see?
mcgeady
donovan
holtby (although he can play through middle)
drenthe (permanent)

and whod you like to see playing st for the toffees?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Id rather have holtby from the ones listed + making drenthe permanent
For a striker id like to see Jeremain Lens (plays for PSV Eindhoven and holland) and would cost 5.7 million
Blue kaz

Agree2 Disagree0

5.7 million? That's very precise of you, is that how much he cost you on football manager or have you already given PSV a bell and made the deal?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lens is a natural winger, like sticking drenthe up front, good cross, speed. but wont get you the goals...

Sorry, this is a bit of a long one. But. The Blue Union. What are they protesting for Ed? They want BK out. We get it, i think we all do, for whatever reason... even he wants out. They want a new owner, then lets see them use their contacts to go and find us a billionaire owner. Coz thats all we need. A rich owner. BK has said he is searching for that new owner. So what else are they moaning about? Is it the speed in which he is doing it? Should he hand over power to an independent group to find us a buyer? Id say other than what he's doing that his only other move. His people will be working round the clock to get us a deal.

Last time I checked the world was in recession. Even billionaires are at risk, unless they are from an oil state. I dunno bwt you but I dont personally know many billionaires. Im not sure too many pop up in Bill's world of theatre. I work in Corp Finance. My job is to help owners buy and sell businesses. The average length of a deal is around 9 months... The golden rule is confidentiality. I have to sign them all the time. If I breach it and it is proven, I can go to jail, get struck off by the FSA... the best case for me the deal falls through. So no wonder we are not being told anything... Due Dilligence both financial & legal requires weeks and weeks of solid internal & external work on both sides. It also costs many £ thousands in lawyer / corp advisory fees. The official line is 'we are in talks with potential investors'. The Blue Union should chill their beans and wait and see. We aint going down, i dont care what anyone says, we will stay up. I dont think the takeover will be done by jan (unless it is seriously rushed, in which case its not a 'safe' investment for both sides personally). It should be more like Feb / March. Then we go into the summer full of hope. If by March we are not sold, it has to go to the independent people... and then the future of EFC lies with people who are neutral and have no feelings for the club. Could be a disaster.

Good result yesterday, but we are still playing poor. That why I know we won't go down. We can play bad against at least 10 clubs and still beat them, on a good day we CAN beat anyone. COYB {Ed025's Note - i know what your saying mate...and it makes a lot of sense, i dont have an opinion one way or the other!...i can see both sides, the frustration of the BU and those loyal to BK, i just want it sorting out...so that the club can move forward..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Blue Union are an absolute disgrace to the club and shouldn't be linked to us fans. Kenright isn't holding onto the club for free dinners, he just doesn't have a buyer that he is happy to do business with yet. Everyone lives in cloud cuckoo land if they think there are billionaires out there willing to buy our club and throw away £400-500 million on a club that loses £5 a year! ok a new stadium would bring in revenue and a new team would hopefully give us a higher finish in the league and an avenue into Europe but we're not guaranteed anything like £100s of millions each year unless we're beating teams like Barca, Real, Man Utd, City etc. Its not looking good unfortunately. All we can hope for is money for the team and that's it!!

Am the one who said NIKE wud b the makers of EVERTONS kit next season strange the way the kits have been massively reduced just like they were when le coq took over from umbro

Believable0 Unbelievable1

The kits always get cheaper around Xmas time, it's because we now have 3 new kits every season and have to get rid of the stock.

Apparently the club has promised fellaini the club is moving forward and they promised him they would be 2 or 3 signings ?
Is that true ed?

Well saturday was once again, slow and lethargic from the blue men and Jagielka smashed around 13 long, high balls to no-one in the first 15 minutes but a win is a win !
Do ya think this win will boost our confidence and the performances will improve ed ?
So sad to see Cahill's confidence shot last season that chance he had in the 2nd half from 4 yards he would of smashed it in the roof off the net, yesturday he looked scared and panicked and just rolled it into the defender !!
Hope he score soon, because i still believe when he does he will score a few more.

Delighted with the 3 points yesterday, wasnt the prettiest performance but dont think we ever looked like losing. Goal scoring as ever a major problem. Cant believe Cahill still hasnt scored yet!

Two points i'd like to make, firstly the club is in a financial mess and most Everton fans are moaning about lack of transfers and no sign of new owners. Yet yesterday there was only 34000 fans there yesterday. 6000 short at 35 quid a ticket =
£210K less for the club. Whilst i appreciate we aren't playing well and we are the middle of a recession, it looks a lot better to potential investors if the ground is full every other week. Not to mention revenue to the club and a better atmosphere for the players to thrive in. Secondly what was the point in getting straqualursi in on loan if he isnt going to get a game. I am assuming he isnt very good! Should have kept the Yak! Words i thought i'd never say.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Watching MOTD yesterday reminded me what a good club we are. I think the attendance wasmore like 36000 and it is a recession so matchday is an expensive venture. Wigan was almost empty, and sunderland wasnt that full either. Tough times. Lots of pundits saying the crowd were fantastic so well done those who went.
As for Yak, can't blame Moyesy for that one, Yak is a miserable so and so, I will eat my hat if he gives blackburn 3 good seasons - championship or not.

oh and..can we please sign Landon, pleease

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Hope so can wait to get a striker in asap really disappointed stracquilursi must be pants as not getting a start. we have to start playing two up front and not Cahìll. hate to say it but timmy you were only in the side for your goals and your not delivering now so time on the bench is needed I think

Did the Blue Union hold a protest yesterday and who what match was the first protest,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think the BU should hold more protests.
Their fist was Everton v Wigan Everton won 2-1 The second was yesterday against Wolves, Everton won 2-1
Maybe the Blue Union should hold protests every home game and start protesting at away games.

Agree2 Disagree0

Wasnt the first one againt villa?

Agree2 Disagree1

And didn't we beat Wigan 3 1

It was Villa and we beat Wigan 3-1 top blue you haha PADDOCKBLUE
