I think some need to calm down, the transfer window hasn't even opened yet and Martinez doesn't begin work until July 1st. We've got two months to sign players, chill out. {Ed025's Note - well said mike..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Been trying to tell people this for days. Well said Mike.

Not to put a downer on things. I don't actually think we have a pot to P in. The club is wating to sell Felli and Martinez will be given about 10-12 mil of that money. He will also get what ever Heitinga goes for another 2-3 mil. So I guess a round 14-15 mil and that's all.
I think BK has gone round to investors borrowing money and has promised them all kinds on their investiment with the "Imminent Takeover" which will never happen, that our board want some money out of this TV deal.
I could be completely wrong.

Eric Dysfunctional

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Martinez will have all the money, why you being so negative?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if we don't spend at least 30 mill we will flirt with relegation believe me. A top striker and at least 4 more needed. A couple of frees or loan's. Squad is small as it is. The extra tv money should be given to rm. {Ed025's Note - flirt with relegation???....just say no!..

Believe you me I don't want go be negative. But you have you to admit the board and the CEO, have been garbage for yrs. Our beloved club is not run like the top clubs. We have Mickey Mouse CEO there doesn't seem to be any marketing direction. We should have cleaned up when li tie and Chang came over. We should have made money on Cahill being the Australian equivalent of beckham in the popularity front.

All I want is Everton to be run properly. Get the right people behind the scenes running our club.

Eric Dysfunctional

Agree0 Disagree0

Got a high opinion of out manager and team. who cares what happened to wifan. it won't happen to us

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Matrinez have a stack of money to spend?.

Go and look at how much money was spent, and then brought in on transfers over the last four seasons?. It does not paint a particularly great picture.

Agree0 Disagree0

With the team we have now we would still finish top 10 and push the ones above us. We need a quality striker which will be tough and expensive. A couple of the additions and well be right up there chasing top 4.

Stop overeacting. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

When the time comes the time will come when we have a proper investor. Blaming the board now would do nothing, the AGM next week should shake things up a bit. Stay positive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even with no signings we won't be in the relegations zone, so Eric stop talking BS, The great Bill Kenright has publicly said there is money for new players coming in without selling anyone and if we do sell anybody the manager will get 100% of the money from any sales. So to put your mind at ease Eric and co, if we sell Heitinga for 3.5m and Fellaini for 23.5m then I would aspect Martinez to have somewhere in the region of 40m to 45m to spend at least, and without any sales somewhere between 15m and 20m already in the kitty. So up until the 31st of August we have till to sign players. I do agree that the earlier we sign players the better to get them in for preseason and to gel quicker. I don't expect much activity till after July the 3rd or 4th after Martinez has spoken to all the players and assessed the situation.

All these posts of frustration from fans on here is just a part of being an Evertonian. "An if yer know yer history" don't forget, its the same every season, we haven't changed as a club, no gazillionaire has turned up to change things. We went through all these frustrations over the naming of the Manager it was infuriating, now the transfers. Nothing will happen til July the 1st and then it could roll on til after the first game on the 14th. So I know it drives us mad but we just got to wait for things to happen and see. "An if ya know yer history, coyb.

we will only start business when the window opens, not before, never been the everton way
EFL

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We actually signed Beckford and silva before the transfer window opened a few summers back.

Toffee ace

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from last few seasons were we had are targets nailed on before july {Ed025's Note - times have changed mate. lets shoot the agents :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree on the agent front ed practically dictate the market and actually ruin peoples careers by forcing them to the clubs with money to burn

MikeDeBlue {Ed025's Note - thats right mike, they are bleeding the game dry mate, transfer values are 20% higher because of these vultures..

Please, for the love of God, Allah, The Buddha and Craig David can something, ANYTHING, happen?!

I'm losing the plot here. Personally I don't see Fer joining and am pretty confident that the "big signing from Spain" is utter nonsense and just need some small morsel to feed on to keep me from losing all hope.

PLEEEEAAASSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! {Ed025's Note - hang in there fella, only a couple of weeks now..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cant see anything significant unless we get big money for screech. I won't be buying a season ticket till the club show some intent

Agree0 Disagree0

I buy mine no matter what but i'd like to see us steep up we just can't afford too, plain and simple

MikeDeBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

^ go and support another team then! If you can afford a season ticket you should be there regardless of how the club is run!

Agree0 Disagree0

How pathetic is 'go and support another team then '. Seriously, get a life before it's too late.

A true blue goes the match no matter what. {Ed025's Note - that depends where he lives mate, and his or her affordability..

I am quite sure Fellaini is about to go any day now, with arsenal & Man U. Entering a bidding war to secure his services!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

. no bidding war at all. Just 24m if they want him

Agree0 Disagree0

Sack were all going to go any day now. Why are people so desperate to get rid of the guy. We will be really hard pushed to get someone as good.
KEEP YOUR BEST PLAYERS! If you want to progress. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

What don't you understand about the concept of a release clause??

Pod

Agree0 Disagree0

As Pod has asked, what's so difficult to comprehend about a release clause? They meet it, he's free to negotiate. NO bidding war. Bid £22-24m he's free to talk with potential suitors and if HE wants to join them there is NOTHING Everton can do to stop him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yes there is, pay him more.
Do you seriously think city became a team magnate before they got to where they are now. It's about money nothing more nothing less.
If a billionaire bought Rochdale and offered 200k a week there'd be bloody stampede. Champions league my ring, get real.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would they go to Rochdale when they're in League one or two. Not all players are mercenaries. Some go for glory or opportunity, ie. Arteta took a pay cut to go to the Arse to play CL.

Agree0 Disagree0

You really believe that don't you?

Agree0 Disagree0

Twoold- Baines is offered the chance to go to Manchester United where he'll earn 80,000, stay at Everton for 90,000 or go to Zenit for 130,000- I'd guarantee he doesn't go to Russia.

Reports coming out of France claim Everton boss Roberto Martinez is chasing Lorient defender Bruno Ecuele Manga. Martinez is thought to have followed Manga since he was in charge of Wigan and remains keen on signing the centre-back.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Jun 2013 12:35:44
Maybe one day wel will sell a big player who we can only replace with another big player sort of like selling silva and buying mata if you get me

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't really see it this year just as it would mean blowing our whole budget on 1 player when we need at least 2 or 3

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes of course we will not saying it will be this season though but we will break

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe, but only if we sell Fellaini, for this season anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jun 2013 01:05:15
Can't wait for 1st game of season. At least we know who we have signed by then instead of hearing who most fans want to of signed. god every1 is scouring fifa 13 to recommend players. Give it a rest and see what the new season brings

Believable0 Unbelievable0

21 Jun 2013 00:23:48
Not a rumour, just my opinion but is it really so bad for Fellaini to leave at his estimated £24 mil release clause? I love him and am very happy if he stays but our realistic transfer links/possibilities could all be captured.

Fellaini £24 mil,

Honda £3 mil
Ashley Williams £10 Mil,
Fer £8 mil

Total £21 mil, I know there is likely to be some slight fluctuations in these fees, and a little extra to account for agents and wages etc, but gaining these 3 in place of 1 loss surely makes our team stronger as a whole.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't want williams at all. over rated and I don't even think he is rated. would rather give duffy a go.

1878barlow

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it's very bad if a team who finishes 6th and wants to improve their position starts selling their best players. Its been proven since the premiership started. Not only will the new players have to settle in but it would also unsettle team spirit aswell (and I don't play computer games). In my opinion keeping Fellaini would be a better option than signing any player we've been linked with on here by a country mile

Dog Puke Peter

Agree0 Disagree0

Barlow. I disagree. Williams is a very strong player who is very comfortable on the ball. There's a very good reason why arsenal want him.

Now that we have RM we will need the likes of Williams who can play the ball out of defence and not hoof the damn thing back to the opposition.

Toffee ace.

Agree0 Disagree0

£10m for Ashley Williams? Get real you could get Adil Rami for a couple of million more. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Or get:

Honda 3 mil
Douglas Free
Fer 8 mil
Redmond 3 mil
Schmeichel 3 mil
Defoe 7 mil

Total- 24 mil

Pecko

Agree0 Disagree0

Toffe ace its all very good being able to pass a ball, but what's the point in that if you can't defend. give me distin and jags over williams anyday and as its been mentioned by others, we can get plenty of better players for 10million.

Would anyone take Wanyama for £10m?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

20 Jun 2013 23:01:57
Dutch papers reporting that Norwich are interested in fer now. It's pains me to see a good young player which could of been outs slip away

Essy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He wouldn't go to Norwich anyway lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Why? They are improving vastly, they have money to spend and just bought a striker that was courted by United a while back for £8.5m they are certainly a team on the up and we have failed to beat them since they got promoted back to the PL. They are very underrated IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jun 2013 12:41:05
Sorry but given the straight choice between everton and norwich I am sure he would pick us challenging top 5 or top 4 then fighr relegation and I have a feeling van wolfswinkel will be a failure.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because they have signed Ricky van wolfswinkle doesn't mean they are a vastly improving team their team is poor let's face it
