be interesting to know who went into the everton shop before kick off at goodison to know we all post on here and were all walking past each other lol

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have a large nose and a cabbage ear and will be in again 20 mins before next home game - say hello if you see me

Agree0 Disagree0

I also have a large nose and it gives me comfort to know that there are fellow blues out there who suffer the same facial affliction. Our noses may be large but as long as they are blue that's all that counts. COYB! (Wavertree Blue....nose)

Agree0 Disagree1

Hi there fellow shop visiting rumourites - psst - listen carefully - we will be holding a secret 'Rumourite' meeting in the shop before the next home game.
If we think you are a trustworthy fellow everton rumour poster, someone will approach you in the shop and say "have you got the time please?" at which point you must reply with "I'm wearing frilly knickers". Then we will know it is you, and you will be welcomed into our group and given an important secret message - but only if you must follow these instructions exactly - see you then, and - ps - keep this message to yourself.

Do people remember are last owner, mr Johnson, if it wasn't for kenwright god knows we're we would be, he has done his best and given money when he had it. He has said he is selling club so maybe he is trying not to hand it over to another Johnson. So let's give him a chance. I hope he stays in some capacity

Believable7 Unbelievable0

He may not want to hand it over to another Johnson but he also does'nt want it hand it over to the cash rich Arabs that came looking at everton before being sent away to buy man city ! And look where it's got them hey ? Sitting pretty at the top of the prem !

Agree1 Disagree1

There is no disputing that BK is a true Everton fan but maybe he needs to put that to one side and get his business head on, and get things sorted once and for all. (Wavertree Blue)

Wow Ed u have answer for everything dont you i would love us to spend lots of money on stars and blend in with our youth and the likes of baines, but if a shiek came and bought us and moyes and money to burn you are happy with him to buy Bent, I think NOT {Ed025's Note - not my 1st choice..but he is a high quality player...if we had money to burn.....van persie..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Thats more like it if were going to dream about getting rich then yes van the man would be great

January transfer funds available:
I think it will be around 5m+ but close to 5 than 10. I think we should be able to sell Bily for more than 5 so thats at least 10.

Not sure that Moyes will want to change anything at the back, unless Heitinga leaves then he will definately want a replacement. Priorities are a midfield playmaker and a striker.

Defender - Replacement for Heitinga
- Bruno Ecuele Manga (Lorient) : good centre back who has become a big part of Lorients run in the Ligue 1. Would only be purchased if Moyes wanted a long term replacement for Distin, as he will be expensive for us. Unlikely because i don't think Moyes will be looking to change things up at the back for such an amount of money which could be better spent elsewhere at this moment. But if Heitinga and Bily both go early in the window dont be surprised. 6-8m

Striker
- Jelle Vossen (Genk) : highest on priority list at the moment. Although i think we need someone else in the middle (CAM) if were going to play with 1 up front, it seems as thought were after a striker - however unfortunately, somehow i think Moyes will settle with our CM squad of Neville, Heitinga, Fellaini, Rodwell, Cahill and Osman. Vossen i thought would cost around 6mil

Midfield Playmaker - Replace Arteta
- Rasmus Elm (AZ) : solid creative midfielder. Would love to have him in my midfield, just have a look at his scoring chart this season. Bang him in the middle with Rodwell and Fellaini and ill be impressed. The chances of a player like this coming in may be unlikely though. Although we need a replacement for Arteta, i dont think we would like to sacrifice time on the pitch for Rodwell and Fellaini to bring in a key man. Deadly from set pieces - as much as i love Osman, i would take Elm first. Rumoured to be on the way a few years ago for around 4m but have resurfaced due to his good form. Will be looking at 6m+ for him

Also think a RB should be high on our list. Although Hibbo has been brilliant i think we should be looking at a long term replacement. Perhaps an up and coming CB who can fill in on the right for us. How are Mustafi and Duffy coming along anyone, Ed?

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Nice picked from Football Manager 2012.But I believe your choices are quite good.

Can we all stop talking s**t about investment and takeovers, i like u know absolute nothing on it apart from sky sports news and that we are in talks with several parties, thats it so just wait and see. i dont think we should consider anything other than a complete takeover more share holders being included makes the club worse we want real money from someone or some group who has funds to transform
the club yes like man city and dont be one of those who dont want to be like them, but sorry do i want a rich man to make us challange for titles and champ league oh boy yes. just think 3 years ago man city were bottom half club now look yes i do want just that and so do u lot, we are just pissed off cause it was not us {Ed025's Note - i want us to have big money, and big players, but i dont want massively overpaid primadonnas. there should be some home grown talent, to compliment big stars..

Why are we not re-calling silva back from loan in portugal? We need strikers and he is one! Then use money in january to buy a creative player to offer ys something different, then maybe the strikers will start putting chances away!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Maybe Moyes didn't see enough from him in training so has sent him somewhere else to develop and get game time he won't currently get at the blues.
I would personally like to see Ross Barkley as that playmaker we all desire but Moyes won't give him a game for some reason.
I think we all love Moyes on some level but we rightfully question his decisions at times but he is the man at the helm and we have to get behind him even if we disagree. Thats what Everton rumours is here for... So we can all have a moan and give our opinions.
In Moyes we sometimes trust.

I hope we get investment soon i wonder how much money will be availible in january for moyes hopefully around 20mill that would be nice. {Ed025's Note - you expect a bit much...me thinks!!

Everton Team next season with or without investment

Howard
Baines
Coleman
Jagielka
Distin
Cahill
Felliani
Rodwell
Holtby
Drenthe
D.Bent

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Face it, we are NOT getting darren bent. {Ed025's Note - your right mate...maybe...marcus?

Agree2 Disagree0

With investment or with out, ummmmm let me think with yes maybe without def no bent would cost 15m at least and Holtby maybe 6m and even if we did get investment these are not the players we want. {Ed025's Note - they would be players i want!!....whether we get them...is another matter..

Agree0 Disagree0

Really D Bent is not good enough to be in top 5 or 6 clubs so i dont think he would improve our team that much but grant you he does score more goals than any of our strikers but not hard when you look at our strikers {Ed025's Note - i think the guy is quality...the hardest thing in football, is putting the ball in the net...and at this he excels..

Agree0 Disagree0

So why have none of the big boys come in for him answer please oh i know he played for Spurs but they were never finishing top 4 then {Ed025's Note - are you telling me that the top teams all have better strikers than him?..like carroll, anelka chamack, ...??

Agree0 Disagree0

The players u mention no they are not better than bent but u did not mention surez, torres, drogba, if i had to go for a striker on a budget of say 15m then i would go for defoe {Ed025's Note - its all about opinions...i would prefer bent to defoe....defoe has a tendency to go long spells without scoring, for me, bent is more consistent..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think defoe is better finisher my self i do rate bent but for me defoe would get 20/25 prem goals for us in present side we do have chances but no finishers saha is not present enough injuries cahill not striker and past is best he is a bench boy for me now my team would be next season without silly money as follows:

Howard

Coleman Jags Distin Baines

Felleni
Rodwell Drenthe
Barkley

Donavon

Defoe {Ed025's Note - i like that side mate...if that was our side for next year...i would be more than happy..

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought u might like it i think we are too cautious at times i think are back four are among the strongest in the league just slow at starting a season and i think fellini would be idea as the protection but we could attack with pace with barkley, drenthe, donavon with support on bench i think it could challenge top 4 or 5 there is a shift in power now teams like chelsea are not the power house they once were deffence is awful and players getting old with couple of additions like the ones in team and we could have a right go dont fear anyone other than man city now where as going to chelsea under mourinho thinking no chance of winning we will pick up soon its usually january when me make our move, just a shame we start bad as we would be top 4

The point that Ed makes below about us being too predictable is key. Other teams don't need to study us for long to know how we play. We're making it too easy for them and if we don't start mixing it up a bit our attacks will be snuffed out all day long.
I'm really not keen on this long ball from Jags. It's unattractive, nervy and quite frankly, it doesn't work. We are much better than that, as is Jags. He's much more capable at playing it out than lumping it, so why do it? Maybe a sign of the dreaded dip in confidence.
Look at Stoke... Their long throw was an absolute nightmare but as time has gone on teams are learning to cope with it. One example for us is Cahill. He isn't allowed an inch of space from set-pieces now because everyone knows what he can do with his head, hence his goal drought.
I'd love to know how the time in training is being used because we're very boring at the moment. Lets get working on some new ways of attacking so the opposition don't just have to watch the DVD of the previous game to know exactly what we're going to do.

Bill Kenwright in the Liverpool Daily Post today, States moyes will get funds in January and that there are 3 or 4 parties currentley interested in buying the club. Happy day's or have we been down this road before. Let's hope Bill gets his buyer this time not to mention moysie gettin funds.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Who in their right mind is willing to pay a) £100m for the club which is losing £5m a year? b) needs a good £50-70m investment in the team and c) needs a new £300m stadium, so all in about half a billion? how would they ever make that back? Noone is going to buy us and take us forward, all we can expect is investment in the team to finish higher but in today's world with Man City, Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea all spending silly money and making money via revenue, we've got no chance of keeping up or competing. Finishing Top 10 is the best we can hope for in the next 10 years.

Agree2 Disagree0

Look at what man city lost and will continue to loose the Abu Dhabi guy is not in it to make money, they are so rich its unbelievable they want our clubs because it raises there profile people start to know them more and they get media coverage, thats what its all about for them, its real life Sim City take Abramovich for example know one knew he was really now look at him

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if the prince of Qatar wants to beat the financial fair play rules and spunk £200m on players, he has to do it now! This is the last year that the accounts don't have any bearing on it. Maybe I should let him know! haha. {Ed025's Note - well it is the time of year when strangers from the east, come bearing gifts!!

Agree0 Disagree0

They bought Man City because Man Utd wasn't available and they've done it to spite them but at the same time they'd got their Stadium already so an easier one all round. They don't need to raise their profile either, Abramovich bought Chelsea because people were after him and buying that club made it harder for him to be "bumped off" if you know what I mean. You really thingk some fella from Qatar has £500m to burn and noone will want the money back? People, stop living in fantasy land and grow up please.

To be honest, i don't get why there is lots of talk of us needing a striker. Firstly we need to replace Mikel, we lack creativity, get Saha fit and same with Cahill and they will hit form. Vellios is a good strong prospect and back up striker, big Den is reserve. {Ed025's Note - i agree with the replacement of mikel....we are now too predictable!..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yes we have got Saha & Cahill but for me both of them go missing too much In a season to score us the 15-20 goals needed to put us in the top six , a new playmaker and a tried an trusted season long goal scorer is what's needed I feel
