I've got a scrapbook somewhete ( probably the old girls loft) from around 83 to 85 that contains every newspaper article about Everton and Wales that I could find, and one of the articles is Harry redknapp saying Everton are the best team in Europe, etc, just before the ban. Happy days!

Hi all its been a while since I've being on here, I want to send my best wishes to a true blue Bill to get well soon. This man is a real Evertonian in every sense of the word. Bill has remorgaged his house several times to keep this great club afloat so anybody who doubts his commitment to Everton football club well shame on you. I do agree that a lot of others on the board leave a lot to be desired, Lastly to a man who gave me so much enjoyment for many years Howard Kendall R. I. P. A true legend.

{Ed025's Note - nice to hear from you dero mate..

Well said dero. Must be frustrating for Bill when he's trying to do his best for the club and all that some supporters will do is give out about him.

I think there's still a lot to come out about the things he done for the club. Some day all will be revealed. Hopefully then he'll get the recognition and thanks he duly deserves. Keep up the good work Bill.

Can I ask why we are not playing Super Kev?, I would love to know, I know he was baned for 3 games, but its such a waste him being sat on the bench each week.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - i dont think kev and bobby see eye to eye 38uk, kev certainly has the ability but lacks application at times and to be fair the team were doing well upm till last week and the side was settled..well thats my take on it mate..

We had this last season, that they apparently had a fall out. But he still signed a new contract. He's on a wage, he's one of our best players, play him. I have no idea what Roberto's obsession is with playing without a left winger. He has played Kone there, which is ridiculous, he's best up top supporting Rom. Naismith, I love Naismith but the 3 goals vs Chelsea have gone now. He is repeatedly playing without one when he have TWO wingers on the bench each game. Yes Kev was a div at Swansea but play him, you don't leave out players like that. At least bring him on when we need a goal, nope, keep one up top and put a striker out wide. I don't care about their differences, he needs to play him. It's not like a Distin situation where we have someone better. We have no one.

Agreed, I am a fan of Kev's, I think he is a great finisher and has bags of pace, all of which should compliment Rom admittedly he has some attitude issues but surely he must be desperate to play again and impress!

But isn't it Kev himself that wants to play through the middle rather than out wide.

I don't think Kev knows what he wants mate, when he joined he said he liked playing wide left. Then shortly after he said begind the striker, then said up front then changed his mind again to behind the striker.

I agree with your comments there Ed. I like Kev, he has great ability and scores some cracker goals. He can be the difference between winning and losing or drawing in games.

Yet in some games he is virtually non existent. That annoys me about him. That said its a long time till May. I have no doubt Kev will play a big role this season yet. He will get his chance sooner or later.

I'm a massive fan of Naismith but I'd drop him. Naismith imo is far more effective coming off the bench. A player I would never sell but seldom start at the same time. Great player to introduce during a game to do a job.

{Ed025's Note - I like Naismith NBTB, but he is better coming off the bench at the moment as he's well out of form mate..

another issue wirh Naismith is the same thing when he joined, he's not a winger. He's a forward.

Good read that Ed, agree with all of it, Ivanovich's downfall is the biggest for me and you are correct he does look like he has just come from a none league side, never rated Milner myself, can't doubt his work rate though, why Bony ever thought going to City would be a good thing, maybe for his bank balance but he was in the prime of his life, he should have gone somewhere he would play every week, will be ruined by next season, Howard will be 2nd keeper next season.

{Ed001's Note - do you think Howard will not be looking to go back to the MLS and cash in on his World Cup fame? Or do you think his book was enough for him?}
