I've just had a thought, remember all of that nonsense when stoke were trying to sign yarmolenko about Kiev telling them that they weren't a good enough club. well what if they are waiting to see how we do against city tomorrow to see if we are "a good enough club" before agreeing to sell. I think it's absurd that they would block a move that both the player and other club want simply because they think their player could do better despite the money being there but you know. Ukrainians.

So Yarmolenko played today, doesn't fill me with confidence. On a positive note, Mancini said Shaqiri was sold to Stoke as no one else wanted him. There we go, that's that sorted. Good win for Bournmouth today too, nice to see an Evertonian doing well.

De Bruyne's signing for City on Monday and he played today too, according to reports. Make of that what you will, hermano!

No all I saw was City are going to bid again or may agree a fee over the weekend. Seen nothing of him being a done deal, unlike Yarmolenko.

Everton are close to signing Uruguayan striker Leandro Rodriguez, according to reports over in South America.

Thats a new one.

22 Aug 2015 21:49:42
Yeah it is a new one, never had a Uruguayan Striker named Leandro Rodriguez play for us before.

22 Aug 2015 15:22:38
So with Mori supposedly on his way, is there any news on Yarmolenko or any other signings?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Aug 2015 21:50:34
Yes, Yarmolenko isn't signing after hearing we boo our own players.

23 Aug 2015 07:09:13
Couldn't see that bothering him swan as he plays in a country were the fans racially abuse there own players.

Hatrick n had a hand in the other 3 6-0. couldn't tell anything other than he's so comfortable on the ball, but it was a cup game against a poor team, never got out of second gear. The players all gave him a hug at the end though?!

According to Phil Thompson, we're resigned to losing Stones because we've started to look at replacements, to paraphrase, not because we want to add competition in the squad. Mental to think people like Merson and him get payed to talk about football.

There both very good at talking balls.

22 Aug 2015 14:21:05
What made me laugh is they were talking about city's academy and how good it is moments before but not one of them have said fair play to our club for trying to keep him at our club, and remember this is not sterling situation where he wanted to go these pundits our only interested in talking about big clubs and they have a cheek to say stones not worth £30m yet city spend £30m on a centre back that is playing in a league where defences are very poor and know nothing about him and they don't bat a eye lid on that price

Hate the way people say big club chelsea are not a big club they are a rich club and when people go on about worldwide fans theirs are the ones who change their allegiance at the drop of a hat at least we have a loyal fan base

City's academy is so good that none if their u21s have got anywhere near the first team

A report on the ssn web where Lukaku has made a statement that John Stones would be better staying at Everton and continue learning from Jagielka than moving on to Chelsea. A good piece of advise from an ex Chelsea player. He also spoke well of the club and manager. Full marks to him and hope both have an excellent season.

I don't understand why learning from Terry would be any better than learning from Jagielka, in fact, learning from Jagielka is probably better because he is a much better role model in every way than Terry.

A couple of good articles imho about Everton in "The Times" this morning. Tony Barrett and Oliver Kay (two of the few journalists I have time for) have written about Romelu Lukaku and about Goodison Park. It was nice to read something about Everton that wasn't just the cliched wafflings of has-been pundits about how we're a small club that must sell John Stones to Chelsea.

If Chelsea keep upping their offers for Stones, by 2019 we could buy Greece.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - the way greece is going mushy...we could get it for a straight swap with aiden mcgeady.. :)

22 Aug 2015 07:46:02
Ouch!

TO ED25. Greece already has enough problems, what have they done to deserve that.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - smashed too many plates?.. :)

22 Aug 2015 12:52:08
Ed025: Plates? Are you hinting that we could swap one of our crocks for some of their crockery?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - love it sid..

22 Aug 2015 01:14:59
So with funes mori, rodriguez and everything crossed yarmalenko on their way. Maybe we can have a cheeky deadline day loan bid for GK david ospina with a view to buying him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Aug 2015 05:08:09
Unlikely I think mate, Szezezny has gone on loan and if Opsina leaves they will only have Cech, cannot see them risking it.

22 Aug 2015 12:11:38
Cheeky loan for De Gea then as not playing for anybody else

{Ed025's Note - now that is cheeky paul..

What about Linndgard (or however his name is spelled) Danish goalie at Man U. Think available free. I know the Man U cast off brigade will raise comments.

What are the chances of Mori, Rodriguez and Yarmolenko coming on the pitch at half time, wait, not the odds on that, what are the odds on them all coming on at half time and being booed?.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

22 Aug 2015 01:21:45
Depending on our performance and approach and taking into account the half time reaction against Watford! If it's not going well the booing will have started well before they've entered the field!
