My favorite game was my first ever away game I was 11 and had pestered my mate to ask his Dad to take me, he thankfully obliged.

Date 3 April 1985 v Spurs Everton won 2-1.

I member Andy Gray scored early in the first half and me and my mate got crushed at the front, a steward let us out and we watched it with the disabled fans behind the goal Tricky Trevor scored in, the best player I have ever seen in the blue shirt.

Big Nev made a great save in the dying minutes from Mark Falcao I think. League as good as won happy days.

I'm based in the smoke and went to a big time Spuds pub to watch the game and was encouraged to wear my NEC shirt, not being able to see anything other than a blue spanking dished out by a very good Tottenham side boasting the likes of Sheringham & Klinsmann! I nearly got the c**p kicked out of me. Also recall the 4-4 game I watched with my Dad who's a dirty red. I missed all four of our goals as I walked out the room every time they scored! The replay though was a different kettle of fish.. Dogleash had cra**ed himself, unable to take the strain and wimped out of the game completely and it was left to Waggy to net the winner! Good times! BlueTone

Big duncs diving header gainst man u. The year we finished 4th. Seeing scholes sent off for acting like a girl and Moyse making sure fergy knew he wasn't going to be pushed around like the others.

Even when we weren't winning trophies we were acting like world beaters. Very proud to be blue that evening. COYB

Mine was against man utd in the league the year we won the fa cup, ferguson scored the only and winning goal of the game, my brother who supported utd was sitting next to me and my uncle with his utd shirt on, he was the only person sitting down in the family enclosure, thankfully that match turned him into a blue, COYB ewefc

Not one game, but the memories of Ball,Harvey and Kendall sweeping the ball back and forth across Goodison. It was dream football.

Rideout Wembley 95. My first trip to Wembley for any match and as a 12 year old i still remember the game going in to slow motion as the ball hit the bar and hung in the air. Great day out with my dad, and great result.

Svenny {Ed001's Note - that was the first time I ever placed a bet at the bookies and gave me my first win, thanks to Paul Rideout. I had been saying since the semi that Everton would win it and someone told me to put my money where my mouth was, so I did. I can't remember how much I won, but I was rubbing it in everyone's faces all that night as I got hammered using it!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post this paul EFC to get everyone's memories of our beloved blues !

Mine would be the European cup winner's cup final, i was only 9 and i had been to 4 or 5 games with my dad but at the age of 9 i was really getting into my football and watching the Final on the tely with my dad and a few of his mates was my greatest memory and although i was born a blue it was after that game that i became hooked on the blues and fell in love with them !!!

Love being a blue nose, it's one hell of a roller-coaster !

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton vs Middlesborough in the cup in roughly 2006, we were drawing and the tie was pretty boring... Until a young boy, about 10, runs onto the pitch and slide tackles Franck Quedrue, to a huge cheer around Goodison.

The next week we had Boro' again in the league, we were getting beat and it was around the 80th minute, when Franck Quedrue was wasting time in the corner. Everyone was clearly frustrated until a man on his own stood up, readied himself and belted at the top of his voice; "GET THAT F*CKING KID ON!" And with immediate effect The Gladwy's Street end burst into laughter..

Will always remember this moment!

QPR game i would hope Moyes brings Hibbet back in the side at right back. I love Neville's passion and desire when playing but simple fact is he is the weakest player at the minute.
Howard
Hibbert Heitinga Distin Baines
Drenthe Fellaini Gibson Pienaar
Cahill
Straqualersui

Subs
Mucha
Neville
Duffy
Gueye
Coleman
Anichebe
Vellios

Fair enough mate, but Neville wasnt that weak going into that tackle with Cole against Chelsea was he??

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed with that man! Great tackle by Nev... yes he hasn't been the same player since the used car dealer tried tapping him up but what a challenge! Put me in mind of the cruncher he made on Ronaldo which kick started our season a few years back. Hopefully that will have the same effect! BlueTone

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a fantastic tackle, listen i love Neville, he has done a lot for Everton on and off the pitch but the simple fact is HE IS our weak link at the minute games by-pass him, his passing is woeful he doesn't get forward enough to support the wingers and when a winger in one on one with him we are in trouble. Tony Hibbert has been in the best form he has ever been in this season. He is quicker, stronger and has really improved going forward and his crosses have also greatly improved this season aswell and it's very rare you see a winger get the better of him and before you say FA cup final.... He was awful in the first half against Chelsea but that was 3 years ago, just my opinion but i'd choice Hibbert over Neville at right back at the moment despite 1 great tackle by Neville

If reports are true and Rodwell is sold in the summer and Distin leaves on a free if he doesn't sign his contract here is a realistic team that i would love to see.

Thoughts ed's and fellow blues ??

Howard
Hibbert Heitinga Jagielka Baines
Jarvis(3-4 million) Fellaini Gibson Pienaar(3-4 million)
Jelavic Rodellaga(free)

Subs. Mucha, Coleman, Duffy, Osman/Drenthe(free)(if he signs), Barkley, Cahill, Straqualersui (1-2 million)

Still Neville, Gueye, Anichebe, Vellios, Baxter and if this Junior Silva is as good as suggested we have a very good side with these additions plus squad players ?

That would be a decent side in my opinion that would be capable of top 6.

All in all you would expect to get around 20 million for Rodwell and buying Pienaar, Jarvis, Rodellaga, Straqualersui and Drenthe would be around 10 million leaving
10 for the banks !

I do feel we need a right back and cover at left back for Baines aswell though but overall if this was too happen i would be very happy !!

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Decent team im not too sure about jarvis he seems a bit hit and miss but maybe if he was at a better team with better players around him he could improve would like rodellaga hes not a big goalscorer but works his socks off and is effective and for a free would be good buisness if we signed him i also think he is a "moyes" player so your team could become a reality ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwells going nowhere, some people seem to want our future stars to leave, before january people were banging on about , rodwell, felli, barkley all leaving, keep all our best players and build for the future

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not saying i WANT him to leave i wrote "if reports are true" as there has been lots of reports that he could leave in the summer, i'm just giving my thoughts on realistic players we could bring in if he were too leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodellaga, Hbbert, Jarvis, Gibson, those players in my mind should be squad players.we need a lil more quality on our first team but we getting there slowly I think.just my opinion

first post here guys im a lifelong toffee from Yorkshire and been reading these pages for a while and it just occurred to me that before we bought jelly everyone was saying how the team was not so good but whenever anyone posts a favourite team line up jelly isnt in it so not sure where the 5.5mil investment has changed anything although cant deny the the better performances since window shut :)

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I think people are doing there predicted teams for the next matches and with Jelavic being injured and suspected to be out for 4-6 weeks, there would not be much point in putting Jelavic in there prefered team

I fancy us to win the FA cup this year hopefully we can beat sunderland at Goodison then another wembley appearance Liverpool will not get there they'll loose to Cardiff and that's the last time the go to webley COYB Dan

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Is this your heart or brain speaking?

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunatly i think its his heart, the sh*te will win the league cup and will pobly end up in the semis of the f a cup, our team will have to be superb against sunderland because they will be a very tough side to beat

I, for one, do not want any RS anywhere near my weekend/s away at Wembley (IF we even get there).

Yous havent won it yet hope cardiff beat yous il be in stiches laughing coyb stef the blue]

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember when the redshxte used to laugh at the Mickey Mouse cup, back in the day when they had a decent team, and they used to compete for major honours. Oh how times have changed. Mid table obscurity, the odd punt at fourth place, and an occasional none entity cup final. Welcome to the reall world. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Stef the blue you live in dreamland if you think Cardiff will win Sunday no chance mate sorry..But i do come on and give Everton some credit i think you will be in this years fa cup final hopefully against Liverpool but if not i hope you go on and win it i think the club and Moyes will deserve it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wavertree blue what are you talking about..The great Liverpool teams have always taking it seriouslly 1981 1982 1983 1984 springs to mind .. ooh and the ocasional final in the last ten years we have appeared in 2 champions league finals 2 fa cup finals 4 league cup finals 1 uefa cup final 2 super cup finals..Not bad eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree the kopites raving on about the Carling Cup final.... It was only 4 years ago they were calling it the "Mickey Mouse cup" when we were in the semi's against Chelsea.... Now there team has fell to mid table with the odd flirt with top 6 in the last 2-3 years there all buzzing with a Carling Cup appearence and thinking there back "on top " again ! Doesn't matter about what happens on sunday in the final you will still be a top 8 side fighting to get amongst the top 6 or top 4 like you have been for the last 3 seasons, exactly the same as us, the difference being we have spent next top nothing and have our dignity were as you have sold your soul twice and spent 100's of millions chasing the elite !!

This isnt a transfer rumour, but ive been thinking, i cant think of any new songs we have got to sing at the ground for years. And was wondering whether it would be worth people throwing a few ideas about for new songs. it could help improve the atmosphere at the ground, because apart from one or 2 games this season, there hasnt been an atmosphere. Just a thought.
