would any one here be happy to sell Jags, cause i didn't believe that we missed him when he was injured how much does anyone think he is worth, (SPELLING ALL CORRECT HAPPY.)

toffee haz {Ed025's Note - i dont want him to go haz...if we got an injury to buzz or johnny, duffy is our only back up..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

- if i had to choose anyone of the starting 11 it would be between him or cahill.

toffee haz {Ed025's Note - we wont get much for tim mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

If i had to sell anyone it would be jags as because as pointed out already he would be the one we would miss the least. I think Duffy could replace him he didn't let anyone down at the beginning of the year when both jags and Distan were out injured..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we should cash in on Jagielka, he is 30, and we could still get a decent fee for him, have heard there is some interest in Jagielka and they are willing to pay double figures for him, that is good business for a 30yr old that in all honesty should be back up to Heitinga and Distin.

Selling Jags would allow us to get Pienaar, younger replacement for Jags and for when Distin retires and possibly have a bit left in the kitty for another player be it striker, midfielder or whatever. {Ed025's Note - i understand your point mate, i just think jags still has a lot to offer..

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus Rodwell is another back up, love him or hate him, he has got a decent defensive game. So I'd sell Jags, probably get around 7-8million for him.

How do everton have no money on wikipedia it says are directors name and money:
BK:100m
Robert Earl:1b+
John Woods:850m

Cheapskates!! {Ed025's Note - thats why they have got money..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

The board don't agree with kenwright so they won't put any money in for us,
And also we have one of the richest woman in Britain on our board, John mores sister, she has a lot also but once again doesn't agree with kenwright

Agree0 Disagree0

The board won't give no money until we have a new stadium simple as that im afraid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenwright isn't worth 100mil. He is poor in football terms. Although Earl and Woods are loaded, surely some sort of questions need to be asked about these guys and what they actually do for the club. They are the real problem for me, not Kenwright. {Ed025's Note - i agree..

Agree0 Disagree0

If some board think like that why they don't leave for any investor? {Ed025's Note - because they are very selfish, and are only interested in themselves, and the prestige, that being associated with a premier league club brings..

Agree0 Disagree0

I will just say Earl bought in as a favor to BK. He bought in way over the odds as a means to keep us afloat for another year. He has no real interest in it, if he did he would take us over

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont understand why they are not givin us money at all if they would give us 10 million each then it would be okay so rich but using the club as athere name

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I would think that this is probably the most realistic summer for us. Personally, although it isn't ideal, I would be happy with that summer.

And bring in Donovan in January and hopefully get him to stay permanently and think we have a real good shot of Europe.

Even Tolis play better than him. We dont need him... We need some creative midfielders and wingers

What is the obsession everton fans have with 4-4-2. It is an outdated formation which is very few teams use, and used by none of the top teams. The reason it's not used is teams figured out that by putting an extra man in midfield u could win the midfield battle and control the game. At the end of the season we were lining up with a 4-2-3-1 formation and played some great football and scored a lot of goals. Why are people so desperate for the predictable 4-4-2 to return?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Everton hardly use 4-4-2 anymore. They tactically play 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 with either Cahill or Fellaini playing the more advanced "behind the striker" role.

Agree0 Disagree0

Man utd use 442

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't really call united's a 4-4-2, rooney plays more like a 2nd striker with the freedom to do what he wants. In the big games Fergie always drops welbecl and puts park in midfield. To play 4-4-2 you need a lot of pace to stretch teams, Fergie has always set his teams up with fast attacking wingers. Everton don't have any and therefore can't play 4-4-2

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton should use 4-3-3 in my opinion, but i think Thats a bit forward thinking for Moyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

What's that plantpot on about. Everton don't have any fast attacking wingers? Osman? Pienaar? Drenthe last season? Even Coleman has a right old good dribble on him. Delusional!

MikeyBlueNose.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we have three good center halves and should play 3-5-2 with Baines and a new right back as wing backs. Would be exciting!!

Charlton strong favourates to sign Sono Aluko i know we aren't/never have been,in the running but i would of loved him playing for us as i've stated many times on this page do you rate him ed {Ed025's Note - he is a good player..but rangers are in limbo at the moment..

hi lads pop down the new store tomorrow i look like sheamus the wrestler so please come chat lads i love a natter about efc

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Can't say I like the new away kit. The badge looks like it's been ripped off David Moyes' "please stay" cake. Mind you, Kenwright paid more for the cake than he did the kit. Bring on the new home kit I say! Looks like a Brazil kit so hopefully we can at least play like them. It'd be nice to see Hibbert playing like Dani Alves. I can dream Ed, I can dream..

MikeyBlueNose. {Ed025's Note - you can mikey..

Agree0 Disagree0

I just hope the deal was worth it for the club. I thought last seasons was pricey at £40-odd. But 50 notes for a shirt that I can't even buy at any sports shop! I can only get it on-line and get fleeced by excessive postal costs or make the 500 mile round trip. An absolute joke BlueTone {Ed025's Note - i sympathise tone...sadly, its the way of the world mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't really look like the Brazil kit, more like one of our naff 1970's shirts with the big V-neck. Hope that doesn't mean we are going to play like we did then.

played my first gig yesterday and I devised a 4 year plan.
Year 1: Get a big break.
Year 2: Become very big.
Year 3: Befriend Sir Paul McCartney and convince him to join me in buying the blues.
Year 4: Buy the blues and hire Ed025 as the chairman and tristen as the manager. I'd have Degsy up front as our star striker, mainly for sex appeal and to model our new kits...

Fred {Ed025's Note - love it fred..

Starting 11 i'd love to see next August:

GK: Tim Howard
RB: Kyle Naughton (1.5 million)
CB: Phil Jagielka
CB: Johnny Heitinga
LB: Leighton Baines
RM: Adam Johnson (4 million)
CM: Joao Moutinho (8 million)
CM: Marouane Fellani
LM: Steven Pienaar
ST: Oscar Cardozo (5 million)
CF: Nikica Jelavic

Bench: (Some young keeper), Neville, Hibbert, Coleman, Rodwell, Vellios, Osman, Distin.

Outs: Anichebe to Wigan (4 million)
Yobo to Fenerbahce (2 million)
Cahill to Al Nasr (4.5 million)

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Oh dear me. Johnson AND Moutinho for a combined 12mil HAHA.

Agree0 Disagree0

Realistically Johnson is more like £10m as discussed previously and I don't see Porto selling Moutinho for any less than £15-20m. Cardozo is always worth a punt though. Strong, pacey, knows where the net is. Just worried about the cost. All this Mellberg lark is making me chuckle though Ed. Scores a goal against England and all of a sudden we're linked with him. Surely with Jags, Heitinga, Distin and players like Duffy on the horizon we're pretty solid for CBs. Just my opinion but he's 34. Long past it. Would rather get Count Olaf on the team than him.

MikeyBlueNose. {Ed025's Note - your right mikey..

Agree0 Disagree0

For some reason (i'm probably talking out my rear end here) I think we've got a chance to land Cardozo. His Chelsea link has gone cold and the choice of playing in the Turkish league or the EPL. Well, no contest really. Definitely think he's worth a £5-6m bid. What happened to the money from Arteta and Bilyaletdinov Ed? Was that reinvested on wages and whatnot or is it still available? If so, that's a couple of mill in the kitty seeing as we spent £5.5-6m on Jelavic and a few mill on Gibson. Could help us out a little I guess.

MikeyBlueNose. {Ed025's Note - i think its all gone mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Mikey you're right with everything except 'Cardozo is pacey' as he is quite slow...

Agree0 Disagree0

My bad. Strong, knows where the net is and built like a brick "faeces" house. Gotta teach the kids on this site not to use bad words. Setting a good example etc.

MikeyBlueNose. {Ed025'sNote - well played mikey....we have to delete a lot of posts, due to excessive swearing..

Agree0 Disagree0

My small contribution Ed! Just noticed from Cardozos wiki page that he was the bugger that scored against us when we played Benfica. Broke my heart that did. But all was forgiven when he scored 3 against Liverpool. Easy come, easy go..

MikeyBlueNose.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll give credit to the journos on the Mellberg rumour not saying I believe it because I dont but they linked us to him a few weeks back before he played England.

Olef Mellberg rumors are true, inquires have been made as Ajax have inquired over Johnny, a fee of 7.5 million for Johnny has been quoted.
Man Utd' s interest in Baines has cooled due to the price tag, but Fellaini still looks favorite for a move to Chelsea with his Dad brokering the deal for the buy out amount in his contract. Danny Simpson rumor is true if Moyes fails in bring Kyle Naughton to the club.
No one knows what's happening with Pienaar as there still is no manager at Spurs and the Donavan loan will take place normal times after the American season is over
Michael Owen rumor is very b****cks so just forget that- Peter croxteth park {Ed025's Note - at this moment, chelsea are not interested in felli..

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I think it has been clearly stated by Johnny that is he extremely happy at Everton and after securing a starting XI spot, cant see him leaving this summer, especially not for 7.5mil

Hi Ed, what's the latest on Landon Donovan returning. I noticed he said a few weeks back that he will be returning...maybe as a player or a supporter. On his twitter page he is listed as proud American and Evertonian. I think he only has 1 year left on his contract and that usually prompts a club to sell. Any thoughts? {Ed025's Note - i think he will return in january..

Guys what do you all think to the story in the paper where moyes thinks a ground share with the RS would benefit us?

ToffeeAL

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Ill never sit on a seat a gobsh@te has sat on

Agree0 Disagree0

It probally would benefit us but trouble is we know what them deluded kopites are like - if they put a penny more than us it would be more there ground - if they had 1 more fan it would be more there ground - if there was 1 more red badge it would be more there ground and so on and so on..There would be loads of arguments and trouble over it,its just not worth it,plus the idea of a norweign or londoner sitting on my seat when there at home would do me head in. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course it would benefit both of us - but they're probably too 'proud' / stupid to consider it - they'd rather cut off their nose to spite their face than do something that would benefit us as well as them - they'd rather come 5th - 7th and be above us than try and compete with Manchester

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's a good idea AL, coz then those used funds to secure Goodison will hopefully get put back into the system and help repay the banks and what not. Also imagine the atmoshpere during the Derby's!

QatariBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

I can never understand all the opposition to ground share. From our point of view it would make massive sense financially, & give us the clout in the transfer market that would propel us into consistent top 4 contention.
This system works well in Italy & Germany even when the rivalry between fans becomes political i.e. Lazio & Roma who share the Stadio Olympico. I believe that in Germany, I'm not sure if it's Munich or Dortmund, the ground is designed so that if the team that plays in blue are at home, the walls of the ground turn blue, & vice-versa when the red team are at home. (half & half for derbies)
Each set of fans has their side of the ground, where the away fans sit when the other team is "at home".
Finally, at the end of the day, even though our rivalry is intense, we're all very proud of our great city & its people. Outsider's media driven perceptions of us disappear on their first visit to our city. Our warmth & friendliness are legendary. Let's show the rest of Britain that ground share can be done sensibly in this country, even with your biggest rivals!
Toffee Tezza
IMIT {Ed025's Note - good post tezza mate...i agree with all of that..

Agree0 Disagree0

What is the latest with the Stanley park site? Liverpool have stalled and postponed for a long time now, what is the time scale they are allowed can we go and build a stadium if we had the money? I believe a ground share is a no brainier people are set in their ways and to stubborn we can have a excellent modern stadium with top facilities but keep our local surroundings what we used to like the tradition of going the same pub etc before the game plus improve our income to increase our transfer budget each season.

Robbie {Ed025's Note - i agree robbie..

Agree0 Disagree0

It just wouldn't feel like our home stadium I don't think. {Ed025's Note - you would get used to it mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow I wasn't expecting those sort of replies if I'm honest most I was expecting to see loads of posts saying how its was a bad idea and over my dead body posts but I have to say although it would take some getting used to in today's climate it would be the best way for the two clubs to move forward and for the two who said they wouldnt want a RS sitting in thier seat thats a bit of a weak excuse to hold the club back isnt it? maybe you were just kidding i`ll give you the benefit of the doubt :P

ToffeeAL

Agree0 Disagree0

Any true blue would want wants best for the club - all this culture s**t is boll.... If i am honest. I am a Stafford blue and I couldn't give too hoots if we moved from Goodison - give me a modern stadium for 50 thousand, great facilities and a top 4 spot and Goodison will soon be forgot.
