Have you heard the latest cr#p he's just come out with?
'We are developing into a team that can cope with the demands of European and domestic competitions'.
Hmm yes right less than 72 hours after being butt f##led over in the Ukraine.
What planet is this guy on?

Why would we need to? We're out and can't qualify for next year. I'm just pleased that 2 points from 8 games should see us stop up.

RM says "outstanding" but a quick review of all the papers suggest EFC played a game collectively achieving a possible 6 out of 10. 60% in my book is adequate and not outstanding. Why the continuance of make believe? I agree with other that 36 points will be above the cut-off but what a miserable season that would be. 3 wins from the last 4, so let's chase a little run and provide a small measure of pleasure and see if we could finish in the top 10. Oh, bye the way, next season must start as a fresh page with a plan for winning and not just for not loosing. If RM does not show a reality of this mantra, then time for a change is inevitable.

Relief 3pts forget performance it's all about results now to be honest it has been since Xmas I like everyone else very dissapointed this season, I know being back in Europe was always going to be a difficult season for us but I did expect better playing in Europe on a Thursday is very difficult for a club with players that it's very new too, but I'm not one who is calling for Martinez head this is a guy who we all praised last season our best pts tally in prem history, new brand of football, so what has gone wrong.
Martinez brand of football is good but does not start games with any tempo over last 4 matches before Thursday there has been glimpses need to get Gibson playing alongside McCarthy and set the tempo from first wissel that was why we were good cause we played with real tempo sort defence out and stop playing unnecessary risky passes side ways and back start working on those 2 things and we will be back to where we were last season, I would like Martinez to have until Xmas to see where we are then before sacking him, I remember David Moyes 2nd season say no more

I respect your optimism True but 99% of posters on here recognise this guy is well out of his depth.

23 Mar 2015 07:39:28
99% but how many do we have postimg on this site, there only seams to be about 10 regular posters. Only 1 in 5 that I know won't him out now, most think give it till november, then if still poor give new manager 6 weeks to assess before transfer window and fa cup starts.moyes left under a cloud but most knew he would go to united when fergie left.if I remember right he was applauded by large numbers on his last match.give martinez time and hope the board put real money to signing this summer.

Using DM as a stick to whack the 'anti RM' camp doesn't add up!

SpongeBobby squarepass has massive history of not only flirting with the drop,

The fekker went the whole way with poor old Wigan he took them down the aisle and tied the knot (round their necks)

Roberto Martinez next season anyone?

22 Mar 2015 19:54:17
Obviously happy with the three points with all below us plus WBA losing. Doesn't gloss over the performance and the tactical ineptitude though.
Thirty six points could well be enough this year.
Old Bill. Will he break his silence and act in the club's best interests? It's a massive summer ahead. At least six or seven including several of the manager's favourites need to be shipped out.
I said in the January window that I wouldn't entrust this manager with another penny and I stand by that.
Everton are a great club with a fantastic history and fan base. Even without Europe there will be no shortage of able candidates wanting to manage us.
Furthermore the mismanagement of young, good players such as Stones, Besic and even Robles cannot continue. I am sure they are already disillusioned as I any many of us are.

22 Mar 2015 19:30:15
All the people sayin we should be beating teams like qpr anyway don't you think the hardest games of the year are the ones against the teams in danger of relagation the tend to fight like hell

Believable1 Unbelievable1

22 Mar 2015 21:33:57
I agree with you shakey, end of season games against teams scrapping for their lives are always the hardest, let's be honest on paper Man City should have hammered Burnley last week, but they didn't.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 07:43:48
How often did we struggle under moyes against lower teams.sometimes he only managed draws when we conseded late on.his first 2 seasons were abit like a katie prices underwear.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 19:12:21
A win is a win but boy did we make hardwork of it. Again set piece defending cost us a goal. We made QPR look like a top 4 side rather than a championship side and it was clear as day that we were set up to soak up pressure and counter rather than go out and dominate! Am sorry but if that is our managers way forward we can forget about any aspirations of top 6 let alone top 4. We are Everton an established Premier league side with arguably our best team since the Premier league began, yet we are having to give respect to QPR by setting up the way we did? I am not trying to take the gloss of 3 valuable points but merely stating that the manager is at fault for the predicament we are in that means we go to Loftus Road playing not to lose rather than going to put them to the sword.
Happy for the points yet dissapointed Costa Del Fraud will carry on regardless.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

23 Mar 2015 00:35:54
How is restricting them to 1 shot on target all game make them look like a top 4 side? It's people like you who think we should only have to turn up against teams like Qpr aggragance misplaced I call it.

23 Mar 2015 10:13:53
John stones and jags together look good if we can sort the goalkeeper situation out I an see us keeping a lot of clean sheets next season

Was it a scrambled win against a dreadful team or a professional performance against a team fighting for their lives?

And Leon Osman?

Agree1 Disagree3

22 Mar 2015 22:05:30
yes we were awful but of course h was why we won I mean forgot the fact he gave away the ball constantly he was the reason we won

Agree0 Disagree2

23 Mar 2015 07:30:15
Maybe he did. Maybe he was awful. Maybe I am completely wrong? But how come I have said it ALL season and only been wrong in 2 games (I think. it might be 3) In every game bar those 3 games we have taken points. In all the games without him, we have won only 2 or 3 all season. YES 2 OR 3 WINS without him. People keep saying he was crap or other things about him.but ED025, I REALLY WANT TO STOP HAVING TO HAVE THIS ARGUEMENT. please all of you just look at the stats. They are not just an indication.it is a bloody fact. 2 wins out of 30 odd games when he has not played. and when he has played.only a couple of losses. I agree the team does not always look better. but it is MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE AT GETTING POINTS. And that's what we need in any season.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 09:28:53
im actually not here to argue degsy, in fact, I sort of agree, you are no doubt very smug. I also believe we won these games due to the formation, but I do agree osman does a better job on the left than either atsu or mcgeady can, mirallas will never play for us again, atsu is garbage so I do think our best TEAM must have osman on one side and lennon on the other, I think the side has a better natural balance playing 4-4-2 and with 2 wide men. I don't think osman is the messiah, but he offers us something different and obviously better on that side then anyone else we have. is he as good as I think you think he is? no but the team has a much better shape with him on that left side

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 18:13:43
A win and a vital three points today, so that's good. However, I don't want any post-match spin & cabbage from RM - we didn't play well today and made QPR (who were unlucky - they hit the woodwork twice) look like a decent side attacking-wise when in reality they're a poor side whose previous results really do tell the true story about them.
Thank goodness that sides below us are losing - it looks like we'll be saved by there being three or more sides with worse results (and point tallies) than us by the end of the season.
I hope that BK - who obviously isn't going to remove the manager now - makes it absolutely clear to RM once this debacle of a season is over just what is expected of the side in terms of results and performances next season.
Once a blue, always a blue!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Mar 2015 18:38:01
Cabbage?!? I see that even if "strong" words have asterisks in them they're replaced by milder words. Fair enough - just as long as all Eds apply the same rules to all posts. Keep up the good work - I don't envy the Eds having to sift through every post.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 18:09:13
looks like we are safe now, so sack the fake
tomorrow, that would give us 2 weeks to get someone in till the end of the season.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

22 Mar 2015 18:08:08
Blimey just finished watching the match, were we poor or what, but a win is a win is a win, should be safe now COYBS

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Mar 2015 17:56:31
Happy that we won, but those are the type of games we should be winning outright; won 3 of our last 4, but performances haven't been nearly as good as last season, something has to change! Lukaku injured, just to add to everything.

Great season this is.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Mar 2015 15:53:42
So RM going with the team he should have played last Thursday apart from lennon too late the heroes. The euro game could have been won with the players who played so well against Newcastle

Believable1 Unbelievable0

22 Mar 2015 15:32:51
I see the idiot is playing the same team (bar Alcaraz) and probably the same formation/tactics as last Sunday. Why couldn't he just do that on Thursday?! I'm not sure I could take us losing to QPR no matter what myself, but would any of you guys take the loss if it meant the charlatan got sacked tomorrow?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

22 Mar 2015 18:26:08
and guess what we win again. guess what again as soon as Barry's ban is over straight in he comes. And WTF is Alcaraz doing on the bench he should not be anywhere near the side.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 18:44:47
And no he does not stop with the rubbish. 'This win gave me more satisfaction than any other victory' oh and not forgetting incredible. What is the betting we now hear from Bill.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Mar 2015 14:59:22
So RM thinks QPR are a very good side and that it will be difficult for his team today. No there not, their sprouts, and we are just poor. But if the players go out with the same attitude as the manager then we will lose. It's almost like he's getting his excuses ready in advance.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

22 Mar 2015 16:55:54
The man is just being respectful. If you like your managers to be that arrogant, then I suggest you support chelski. There's enough talk on here about us being the peoples club, but you want our manager to belittle another prem club?

Agree3 Disagree1

22 Mar 2015 18:19:54
Didn't say he should belittle the other club. What he should be doing is focusing on HIS team. So your telling me you wouldn't have Mourino as our manager? Know I would in a heartbeat. Or would you rather we just plod along being nice, but win nothing. If that's what you want perhaps you should go and support Burnley.

Agree0 Disagree2

22 Mar 2015 18:44:56
If we end up like Chelsea, then I would rather support a real team. You can then belittle every team in the prem, not just the bottom three. Didn't think that was the Everton way.

Agree2 Disagree1

22 Mar 2015 20:13:47
Real team? All teams have transient support. It was Moyes who quoted us as being the people's team, when in reality we are just like everyone else. We get support from all over the country. I would suggest that the nearest thing to the people's team would be Newcastle, one club city where 50,000 locals turn up regardless of how they are doing. Perhaps they would suit you.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Mar 2015 11:30:18
Newcastle a real team. That's quite respectful for you. Don't ruin it by calling them sprouts as well.

22 Mar 2015 12:19:28
Not EFC related but are referees taking the p#ss, they seem to be making incredible decisions, you don't need technology to see the gaffs they are making, or maybe they are having their own competition with a league table getting points for the most stupid decisions in a match, with an end of season presentation night where they can have a jolly good p#ss up and a laugh at all the clubs and supporters expense. I know there will always be mistakes but it just seems to be getting worse. and their never wrong.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

22 Mar 2015 22:11:37
kirbo mistaken identity aside the job of a refree is almost immposible, from diving players, the speed of the game, the 86 cameras we use to look replays to the crowds of players that group around the ref is so hard there's no wonder there told by people above them to keep stum

So there is a #martinezout graffiti outside goodison, I want him gone but that's just sad, but get this, it was done by a liverpool fan. Nice. What is it they call us? Bitters? Yeah that's right, you know for fans that call us small club and think we are no threat, well done, any validity those points had are now gone. that's topped my morning off #obsessed

A little moan about technique. First on taking corners. how many have we wasted. I used to groan with many at seeing Arteta taking outswinging corners. hopeless consistently but Moyse did little to change it. Now the same problem is occurring way too often. Like Beckham you need to start your run at the ball in line with the goal line, and skim the ball like an arrow, otherwise the chances are it will go ouseide the line, or swing so far away as to give little advantage to tht attak. If we cannot do that, then send somebody across to take an inswinger.
Second moan.our players are so one-footed. Baines cannot cut in on to his right so his passing options are limited. Barry stuck on his left peg always. and many others. With all the time they have on their hands to practice, could they not at least try to become two footed? Charlton was right-fotted and used to hit the ball against a wall with his left until it was nearly as good. The lack of two footed players only makes our sideways passing stand out more, and the inability to hit a killer pass so much less likey.
