I'm actually scared we may get relegated.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it has crossed my mind as well cosh mate..

23 Oct 2017 01:05:31
You lads won't get relegated, you've had a terrible start, 9 games in with a to put it politely rubbish manager, you still have 29 games remaining. No chance your going down, as long as RK is gone asap that is, if the owners stand behind him then your doomed (that won't happen mind) .

You have Chelsea Wednesday in the cup game, doesn't mean it's the end though, to me the players aren't playing for him because of his ridiculous setup. Should he be sacked for example tomorrow, that could well change.

I still expect you to lose against Chelsea don't get me wrong but what I'm saying is, I think you'll see a huge performance increase once that fella is out the door. I can only guess but surely the players are wanting the same as you fans? They are obviously unhappy under him.

If I was an Everton fan, the biggest thing I'd be worried about right now is who you'd be getting in to replace RK. RK been sacked is inevitable but you must get a top replacement otherwise you really are doomed. You can't replace trash with trash. After such a bad start you need to start getting results. I expect you fellas to approach Silva, to me he'd be a perfect fit, whether he would join or not is another matter.

All in all, it's too early to talk about relegation, you'll pick it up.

Crossed mine too. I remember moyes having a good 1St season and finished just above relegation in his second. He went on to do fairly well after that. It's frightening that Rooney, capt at man utd, Williams, swans and Wales capt, jags, our capt, and baines our dept capt, yet they have there heads down when the going gets tough.

Should be grabbing other by the scruff of the neck and demanding a performance. What I'd give for a van den hauwe, peter reid, dave Watson, Rhino, or Joe parkinson to be on the pitch for us this day and age. Just a team if wimps who are scared to make a mistake incase the gaffer slates them in public. Back to basics I think. 442 needs playing.

Forget the Dm and am. 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 strikers. I've seen big clubs be relegated and not come back up, Notts forest, Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, God even Coventry were third in the longest top flight after arsenal and us, and look at them now. there's no confidence, and that's the team, the staff, the board and importantly the fans. I'm dreaming the Chelsea game Bugthorpe there us a major turn around and quickly.

I think a long season, many quality players who product is not quite greater than the sum of the whole yet, and new leadership will help. Top ten maybe in the long run. But this ain't what we expected this year.

As yes we do not have a big striker, but Moyes seemed to get by with a hodge podge of players the last few years.

A little addition in January and we'll be better, just not Manc-MC-Spur-Gunner-Chelsea ready.

On that performance you can not blame the manager.
They all tried their best and gave everything thay had, unfortunately they are what they are not quite good enough,
However they do seem half a yard off the pace no real tempo to their play
Hard times ahead, sorry for being negative.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

{Ed025's Note - how can you not be negative uran, we got beat 5-2 but it could have been 10-1 in all honesty bar for pickford, and to be fair yes you can blame the manager mate...its his job..

23 Oct 2017 07:08:32
So you can't blame the manager for not seeing that Gana was one mistimed tackle away from being sent off and should have been subbed the same as Williams was, you can't blame the manager for playing are fastest player in Vlasic as a holding player who had to be told numerous times by Kenny and also Baines were his position to hold was when these orders should come from the tool who played him there. Add to that the whole Sig scenario, a £45m player who gets put out wide when he is clearly a central midfielder. So yes Uran you are right we can't blame the manager.
Take your head out the sand and analyse the failings of the manager and see them reflect on the players and therefore see why we are in the brown stuff.

Hi Ed 025,now that the dust has settled on that debacle at Goodison this afternoon what do you reckon will happen now, especially with the new stadium in the pipeline, will Mr Moshiri stick or twist with Ronald Koeman will he continue to trust him now that it has gone so badly wrong, my thoughts on this for what its worth is he will show him the door, after all he is a very successful business man and surely will now have no hesitation in getting rid of him and admit he also got it wrong in appointing him in the first place, cheers mate.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - my guess...and it is a guess GB, is that he will be shown the door very soon mate..

22 Oct 2017 20:12:17
Where do you start with regards to that today without going over old ground? 5 at the back just doesn't seem to work for us but, if he stays and goes with that formation again, can he please put Keane in the middle of the 3 cb's? There was far too much space between him and Kenny in the first half, the senior pro's should be protecting the younger ones a bit more. I'm seriously worried if no change is made, we lack desire, spirit and any sense of attacking threat. Players don't seem to know where they should be, players are out of position and it shows. There is no passion and any confidence they did have has been sucked out of them in the last month or so. The only positive I could take today was Vlasic, when out wide, looks like he will be a good player for us.
I've seen some bad managers come and go over the years but none of them have ever made me leave the ground early, not Walker not Smith and not Martinez. But two home games on the bounce have seen me leave the ground with ten minutes to go, it's just too painful to watch. The club has serious problems on the pitch and behind the scenes and it needs to be sorted before we become embroiled in a relegation dog fight. We are lucky that, if we go on a run under this manager or his replacement, there isn't too much of a gap between the bottom and the top half of the league. I can't see where the win is going to come from though at this minute but we can only hope. The fans showed the board how disappointed and angry they are by leaving the ground in droves before the game ended, let's hope that they got the message.

We all fell into the trap of Koeman the player v Koeman the Manager being the same, myself included. A simple search on his managerial cv would reveal mediocracy and walk outs. Unfortunately I believe in Mr Kenwright and his sidekick Mr Elstone we have instability caused by reaction and an inability to be proactive. This will result in Mr Koeman staying in post until the Fat Lady has returned to bed.

22 Oct 2017 21:28:13
The only thing I was certain of when we got him was anything has to be better than RM. His walking out of clubs was a negative but I'd be happy if he did that now! I have to disagree with the BK RE comment if only because I've heard it is Moshiri himself who is backing Koeman, up until today anyway. It seems there is friction between RK and Walsh too, he has certainly done himself no favours by alienating his players and staff. It can only be a matter of time before he falls on his sword. Hopefully the Dutch FA will step in so we don't have to pay him millions in compensation.

Blue potato that's the first time in 20 odd years of having a season ticket that me an me dad have left on the 80th minute. Couldn't bare to watch us get carved open so easily. Going the match has become a chore, I actually hate going now, I grew up through the terrible times of of relegation battles but I enjoyed going the match then, now I just dread it mate.

23 Oct 2017 07:00:11
I'm with you there OB, seen some terrible teams and bad managers in my time but this is some of the worst football I have witnessed. At least the bad teams of the past had a bit of fight and tenacity about them. I was lucky to be around to see the success of the 80's and I thought we could actually kick on this year with more cash than we had seen in the prem era. I dread it too mate, RK is ruining it for me at the minute.

We all know the saying " live by the sword die by the sword" - well from what I gather and heard snippets of Koeman will be given his marching orders very shortly. no one to blame but himself.

He had money but wasted it on average / castoffs of players.

Other than say Klassen and ramirez ( and the pair of them are S$$t) who came from respected teams the rest of the dross Koeman bought were from struggling mid table teams / relegated teams / freebies and were players that were surplus to requirements to their teams ( schneidelin / Rooney and co)

Always thought martinez was let go to soon and how true I am - his man management skills were better - he played attacking football and we scored goals ( defence was garbage but that would have been fixed )

Koeman on the other hand was an exceptional player but look at his managerial resume - some great clubs but doesn't last - why I wonder - he has no man management skills and his tactics are shocking

Onwards and upwards and once Koeman has gone ( with his cronies and that includes Steve " i find gems " Walsh ) maybe we can look forward to entertaining football once more.

Klassen and Ramirez are young players ina new country and different culture!
Where is the management of these lads?
We were excited at their arrival and we all thought Ramirez was a steal after the U21 cup!
They need our and the clubs support to succeed! I for one hope they stay work hard and develop!
Cmon guys let’s not turn on everyone?

"martinez gone to soon". I don't know what to say to that. the year Aston villa got relegated. between Xmas and end of season Everton had worst home defensive record in league. actually in Europe. fact. Martinez admitted he didn't practice set pieces. attacking or defending. indeed when they were faced with a set piece. he would retreat and Steve round would step forward, and bark orders. sorry but completely disagree with that. only Lukaku goals stopped Everton being a relegation team. however, at least RM had a game plan, and a best 11 I suppose, which is more than rk.

Probably kiddies lads, not all of us are the same. For the record I was hoping you fellas would win today. The situation your in right now isn't right, not how it should be, not after spending all of that money and even if you didn't spend all that it wouldn't be. I didn't find it amusing you fellas losing.

Your a big club is in a terrible state due to one man no matter about rivalries your club shouldn't be in the relegation zone it'd be a disaster if you went down but I don't think there's a chance of that, there's still plenty of time to turn it around and I have no doubt you will but the first change must be getting RK OUT! no if's, buts or maybe's he's no good.

From a Liverpool fan I wish Everton the best for the rest of the season - Well, to a certain extent, aslong as you don't go above us lol ;) Onwards and upwards lads it can't get any worse.

Nice on Corleone. I'm not a bitter myself tbh. I usually don't take delight in Liverpool winning or losing. I focus on my team and follow footy in general. what I'd say about your defeat today is spurs are a far better side than arsenal, and at least your manager was bold enough to try and change things immediately. it didn't work out but he was brave enough to try. today when Everton went behind koeman just sat in the dugout!

Even giving the blues fans and the team a lift by a change of outlook at managerial level cannot but paper over large cracks. our defensive players are mostly no, longer at the level needed for a premier team. we have made signings in Sigurdsson, Schneiderlein and Rooney who do not do enough over 90 minutes to justify a place in the team. are there positives? Yes. Vlasic will get even better, we have a strong keeper in Pickford, Lookman given encouragement should blossom, Calvert Lewin is improving, Davies gives much needed energy and a bit of drive in the engine room, Onyekuru will hopefully be part of a better picture next season, hopefully Coleman comes back as our next captain and bolasie shows more than glimpses. ". but we cannot hide the fact that cheque book mistakes will have to be righted and some decent creative, attacking and defensive talent bought to compliment the good youngsters who hopefully will come through. Even if koeman survives the next few matches will the board ever trust him again with big expenditures. seems doubtful. next appointment as manager may be an interim one to get us out of trouble and a contract to the end of the season. but they must do their homework before picking the rightful successor to Kendall and Catterick. strangely I still feel optimistic we will see better days this season if someone comes in and uses the pace and strengths of some of the better players we have on the books.

22 Oct 2017 19:34:23
Too many players. Very difficult opening fixtures. Not sure what anyone expects a new manager to be able to do when they can't do anything until Xmas window. Do not become a terrible manager over night. Board screwed up getting 2 strikers. Unlucky with injuries. It's a lot of crap now but it will be ok.

I said in the summer the days of throwing money around and assuming success instantly have been gone a long time. 2 wins on the bounce in the league and things will look very different.

Ok it's not a nice time to be a blue but we're all used to that in the last 27 years. All the bigheads/ mouths talking like Jimmy bigballs was fun but ultimately set for a fall. Whoever is in charge would have some bumps along the way. It's going to take 3 or 4 seasons to get to where all the dreamers were expecting this season.

Yeah we spent big for us and yeah that carries an expectation. Totally get that but come on! The club was full of a lot of dead wood. Koeman clearly wanted not only 2 or 3 more in, he wanted 3 or 4 more out.

I also wonder how many chiefs are all throwing in their transfer targets? Not sure how a sought after manager can turn into a fool so quickly. The home support is dreadful. We've become too arrogant too quickly and we need to calm down. I believe RK is the man for the job but admit he is making it harder to support him. But really?

DM back in the hot seat? Pah! As for killing Big Dunc and Rhino. get your heads back in the real world. If we recover to qualify for Europe it will be incredible. Unlikely sure. Top 10 now is going to be a good finish. I have a feeling we will still bounce back to 7th.

I really believe a decent 9 in the window with a fit Bolassie and Coleman giving us width and pace along with a CB and we will be a revelation. Not sure on Mori recovery time but I can see how he would give RK the tools to play how he wants. Basically we are stuck in a rut with no obvious way out. And I think sacking this manager only adds to our woes.

Agree0 Disagree1

22 Oct 2017 20:04:59
Actually I am proud to say I was wrong.

Proud because as a true supporter who feels very strongly for Everton I refused to write them off before they had even kicked a ball,

Proud because even though I did not want RK as manager I was at least willing to believe in him and give him time,

Proud because even though I did not agree with all of our summer signings I did not write them all off pre-season,

Proud because even now I would welcome BK with open arms after all he has done for us,

Proud because I will not blame the board for this little hic-cup and not cry that they should all be replaced.

Proud, yes because I support Everton.

To be honest for me I was suspicious of Koeman his dour disposition reminded me so much of Moyes! But I believe we need to give the full opportunity!
So many wanted Klopp and his personality is much easier to warm to!
This may sound stupid but I hated the new kit with a vengeance and to me it does have a meaning as a player!
I could not understand how a manager and our board could not get a replacement for Lukaku! Then how we embarrassingly chased Giroud till we had no other option.
So 8 games in we are in the bottom 3 virtually out of Europe and facing a relegation dogfight!
Who there now can change this for the club and the fans?

Arsenal not won away then come to us and thump us 5-2. It is quite plain even after 9 games that Koeman, his brother and those he brought in have no idea how to fix this. If the Board haven't sacked him by cease of work tomorrow they have not got the best interests of Everton Football Club at heart.

Should never have been on a yellow to start with, not that its an excuse but the official today was a disgrace, I thought Sanchez was the referee today the amount of officiating that he done, add to that the fact it took over 80 minutes before he even booked an Arsenal player made me wonder how many of them he has in his fantasy football team! Its embarrassing that they are now called professional. Don't get me wrong this isn't the reason we got beat but maybe the theatrics of Arsenal would have stopped if the so called Professional got a grip early on.

No we had some teams then. it's a shame that the last few generations have never seen an Everton team as good. nor witnessed goodison atmospheres like back then.

They looked like a team that enjoyed playing for club and the manager also like the 80's squad!

I'm not particularly looking forward to this afternoon.
I normally have a 'glass half full' attitude with everything but this current state of affairs at my beloved Everton is getting me down now.
Still, I'll drag myself along to the Old Lady once again and hope and pray we get a decent result.
In the mid 80's the then Leeds United manager Howard Wilkinson stated "Going to Goodison Park on a Saturday afternoon is like going to the dentist; you know it's going to hurt but you have to go".
I now know how he feels.
Sorry for the depressing post but I'm sure I'm not the only Blue feeling like this.

I'll be there too rib and the weather is rough too. Hoping for a sneaky 1-0 win but can see us getting thrashed if we play like we have been.

I don't lads I'm lost faith in Koeman, but here comes the hypocrisy I actually think we are going to get a reaction from the team today I don't why I'm feeling this way but Koeman looked very angry on Thursday I just hope he went in there and gave every player and hints kick up the arse think we will win today but if not he has to go today I like him but the club must come first really hope he can turn it around today and start the recovery COYB.

3 or 4 beers before the game for me then spend most of the game in the loo (it is an age thing) . Running out with damp trousers when I hear the Everton Roar. Koeman looking angry because like me (Loo) he was caught with his pants down - if the rumours are true.

Red on in peace.
Hi blues. Never done this before.
Just wanted to say I think koeman has missed a massive trick. Your group of young players all or most involved in England winning the wc . He could've done a Fergie. He did it with the nevilles Beckham etc . Then added pickford Keane experience of rooney and baines and I think it could've worked. Just my view through the mist across the park.

That's the problem with Koeman, he can't or won't coach them. Maybe some of these stories in the press about his Godlike attitude have a grain of truth in them. He is no Fergie,

Took Fergus a few years to turn it around. classic fan memory. useless and made up to suit his own deluded agenda.

First home league game for me today since Stoke because of being on me holls really can't be arsed coming home with a loss, every single player needs to put a proper shift in and Ronald needs to fire them up if we win tomorrow we'll give him a few more weeks, if we don't, we need to pull the plug and get rid of soft lad.

well today's game is going to be a real pain in the backside to get to for me and I seriously thought about not going but we have to stand together as a club players, fans, management all. I hope we can get behind the team today because let's be honest they need us.

We may get lucky yet and guarantee not to get beat. That storm may do us a favour and the match gets called off, if not then we may actually see the ball being passed forwards, not on purpose mind, it will just be as it gets passed sideways the wind catches it and moves it forward.
If it goes ahead I can't see passed a convincing Arsenal win of 3-0 with us failing to register a shot on target.
