Nikica Jelavic is looking like the best centre forward we've had since Yakubu's first season. Fellaini is one of the most complete and dominant midfielders in the division.

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Hes better than yak {Ed024's Note - You are right he is and he will only get better

all ifs but what if the table finished
4th spurs (chanpions league spot)
5th newcastle (europa)
6th chelsea, and chelsea win champions league
who would take f a cup place, chelsea and the sh*te already there will it drop down to us (7th)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No if Chelsea win the champions league then spurs, Newcastle, Liverpool get into the Europa league. But I heard somewhere that if England win the Euros then there will be 5 champion league places. Is this true ed?
Blue kaz {Ed003's Note - No }

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance for Europe sadly. If Chelsea win the Champs League, then 4th place goes into Europa.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yeah hope he's back for Saturday we need him. AntEFC {Ed024's Note - I hope so, he has been first class since he returned to the club

Agree0 Disagree0

Arrested and bailed in about three hours max. No worries for Saturday.

Ed im a wolves fan but I will be supporting everton as my premier league team next season, do you think everton will sign jarvis and fletcher? I'd rather everton have them than villa or Sunderland {Ed025's Note - they are both possibilities mate....by the way..sorry to see your lads relegated, i really felt for terry connor, the guy was put in an impossible situation, yet still kept his dignity...good luck..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Would take Jarvis for a decent price though (nothing above 5mil), as for Fletcher would be another good addition, but with our finances and with the emergence of Jelavic, can't see us spending 7+mil on a back up striker

I 100% agree with rodwell for right back, i posted that a few weeks back. Would be great experience for him to eventually go in centre back. Rodwell, Jagielka, Heitinga, Baines looks so good on paper.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That could be a great defence and rodwell could well be the answer at right back.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Apr 2012 21:11:59
Dempsey in our team next year and the signing of pieanar could get us in top 5 especially when Jelly is banging them in

Believable2 Unbelievable0

We may well have solved our goal scoring problem, we just have to make pineaar the priority as he makes the team tick

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - spot on bez...we need to nail him down, he gives us a different dimension, in fact i would forgo any other signings to make him ours, thats how highly i rate him!..

I think Moyes should think about moving Rodwell to right back next season, similar to what united have done with Jones and Smalling (if he can stay fit). Nev and Hibbo are grea servants to the club but not top quality. Rodwell has struggled in midfield, looking short of confidence and will struggle to break the Gibson, Felli partnership. Naturally he is a defender, is calm and composed on ball, and a good athlete and could save us a few quid in transfer market. What do people think? {Ed025's Note - i think he will eventually become a top centre back..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah, agree he'll naturally become a top centre back, but i think a year or 2 at right back will help him develop his defensive abilities, as well as helping him regain his confidence

RED RUSS is probably the most intelligent Liverpool fan who comes on this site he never slates are club and i supportive when we play big teams.

23 Apr 2012 19:48:51
can you remind me how long ago it was when i first pointed out Matt Jarvis ed? (i have always liked him as a player)

toffee haz {Ed025's Note - you said it a long time ago mate....but im still not convinced..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Watch moyse, i bet you any chance we will get a Wolves player what do you think ed? {Ed025's Note - there is only jarvis and doyle who can cut it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Fletcher, Hennessey, Kightly, O'hara

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do we keep getting linked with wolves players . Ffs they got relegated. We want quality and not second rate bench warmers !

Is it not possible at all to qualify for Europe at all this season by finishing 7th any permutations ed {Ed025's Note - no..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We can't get into europe from 7th but only 10 points behind chelsea and 11 behind spurs! 12 points to play for it's a long shot but...........grbefc {Ed025's Note - long shot?....understatement of all time mate..

23 Apr 2012 19:24:56
What about this for a summer. Pienaar back, dempsey in and stuart holden (1 yr left on contract and bolton possible going down). Thought please. {Ed025's Note - that would do me mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Holden=Good Player but injured alot

Agree0 Disagree0

Holden isn't injured all the time, he just suffered one serious injury this season.

Would love to see Holden, think he is class, and considering his contract situation, possible relegation and the fact he is coming off an injury, think we could get him for a bargain, and would fit in well with our team, we need another creative type player in the team.

Were is all these rumours coming from moyes 2 spurs and players coming in if moyes was going 2 spurs he wouldn't b looking at bringing in any players 4 Everton. scousejunior

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Apr 2012 18:30:51
I can't understand why all these people are saying get rid of rodwell for 10 million or less just because he's injured, so who do you suppose we get who is a better box to box midfeilder under 21 and less than 10 million? and if we just sell him and but wingers defenders and strikers as most people say we should what about when fellaini/gibson get injured? would you rather see neville in midfeild? thought not.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Rodwells not a box to box midfielder, hes not even any good in midfield, hes average at that, its time we see if he can do it in his main role, CB, see if him and duffy are the future, if so could save us millions over the next few years {Ed025's Note - centre half for me as well..

peanuts in for around 3.5 and still think we need another wide player aswell as a strike partner for jelavic (also known as god).. donovan possible maybe? aswell as jarvis and for striker i wouldnt mind fletcher, heard moyes is looking at him?..
2012/13 season
howard
neville jags heitinga baines
jarvis/donovan filliani rodwell/gibson pienarr
cahill/fletcher
jalavic

what you thinking ed? {Ed025's Note - im still smiling at the (also known as god) line....i like it mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dont know were people get donovan from, he will never leave LA, as much as he likes everton, he loves his home and family, upping roots is a lot harder than a 2/3 month holiday to keep fit {Ed025's Note - county road is very much like sunset boulevard, come the winter..

How about this formation for next season:
Howard
Hibbo. Hietinga. Distin. Baines
Hoolahan. Barkley. Gibson. Pienaar
Fellani
Jelavic
Pienaar would be 4 million
Hoolahan would be 3.5 million
We could sell rodwell for 10 million
Fairly reasonable blue kaz

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rather sell Jags than Rodwell, think Rodwell could be Jags' replacement at CB eventually.

Although he was outstanding at attacking mid, for me, he is more valuable as defensive mid alongside Gibson, defensively, without Fellaini we were all over the shop.

does anyone think we will see donovan in a blue shirt again? its obvious he loves this club and to see him with pienaar and dempsey we would top six defo. p.s jelavic is bargain of the season. a gem Andy {Ed025's Note - he is andy...imagine him being fed by landon and peanuts...WOW..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

23 Apr 2012 15:32:17
just to point out, we have now scored 12 goals in our last 4 league games! seing as we had united and an inform sunderland team in there thats brilliant. I would also like to point out that cahill and felli should switch roles, fellaini behined the striker is like having an extra man on the pitch at times! just let cahill be dangerous from set pieces (he will prove everyone wrong and get back to his old self soon)

Believable2 Unbelievable2

The team and formation we played yesterday is what we should stick with apart from bringing in baines when he is back. Cahill and straq are good options to have off the bench

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - i must say...felli in a more advanced role worked really well..

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Apr 2012 15:04:47
Absolutley loving Jelavic so far - hope he keeps it up and becomes a blues legend!

Come on Bill - it's time to land a couple of decent wingers for maybe 5m each and then we've got a team that could go somewhere - please don't "spoil the ship for happeneth of tar"

Clozem Downe {Ed025's Note - the jellyfish is quality clozem!..as you say a couple more like him, and the skys the limit!..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Jelavic has been brilliant. He is a proper striker. Just a bit worried though that if he carries on banging the goals in that champions league teams will soon be sniffing round for him. Remember Lineker?
That doesnt mean I want him to stop scoring - just a thought thats all {Ed025's Note - hes ours mate!...and no one is getting him..

Baxter with a great header and once again Young Hope scores again with a delightful dink over the keeper, looks a good player that kid

However we get funds for transfers next season if it's through some miracle of Bill finding money or selling the club or even if we sell someone (Yobo is surely going to be sold at last and possibly Rodwell IF there is no money available may be sacrificed)

I would be over the moon if we bought in Donovan, Dempsey and Pienaar and maybe a new right back although Hibbert has probably had his best season ever this year i just feel we have to move with the times and modern football see's right and left back's pushing forward with pace and class delivery we already have Baines who does that job well but right back we don't (Kyle Naughton could be a option if Norwich can't afford him or Spurs want to sell and he wants a bigger club)

If this was our team next season i would be delighted, if not i'l still be proud of the blue men and expect a poor start and strong finish haha.

Howard

Naughton Heitinga Jagielka/Distin Baines

Donovan Fellaini Gibson Pienaar

Dempsey
Jelavic

With the experience of Neville, Cahill, Hibbert and Osman in reserve and the youth of Duffy, Barkley, Gueye, Coleman, Baxter, maybe Junior Silva and Vellios, and not forgetting Anichebe and Straqualersui (if he is signed) give credit where it's due both have been useful from the bench this season, we will have in my opinion a top 6 squad EASILY and may even push like we were 3 years ago the "top 4" teams.

Feeling positive but at the same time expecting a frustrating summer in the transfer window.....

By the way i was so proud of our spirit and commitment yesterday to come back from 3-1 and 4-2 down at Old Trafford were you probably wont see another team do that for a long, long time.

We were at it from the 1st whistle and it does make you think why we couldn't be as positive and attacking in the 2nd half of the semi-final but that's football!!

Fellaini was superb and Jelavic looking better each game, so natural in front of goal. Pienaar showed that we have to sign him back in the summer and credit to Mcfadden who gets stick of fans, me included he was very good when he came on the pitch.

Heard Fergie wants Phill Neville back, weants experience back in the squad for next season it worked with Scholes, find it hard to belive, what dyou think ed? maby he's lost the plot {Ed024's Note - Err, i don't think so, maybe as a coach in the future

Believable2 Unbelievable1

, I would give him a piggyback to Manchester, that is how desperate I am for him to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was geeing the lads up briliantly when we were 2 goals down - but that missed jump / header for roonies headed goal was a bit of a shocker - juries out for me on neville - he's good utility man - good for the team spirit - good leader - intelligent player - makes mistakes here n there {Ed025's Note - i like the guy...hes a great professional, and has been a great on servant to us, ok hes not a world beater, but when the chips are down, you can always rely on our phil..

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know why Neville gets slated I know he is not the most gifted player but he has been a great signing for us and has been great for moyes to have him around it's what he does in changing room and his guidance he gives to other players I did not rate his brother that much but every time he is on sky he knows what he is talking about and says things most of us don't see {Ed025's Note - phil is great, i never really liked his brother, but as you say, he does talk a lot of sense..

Agree0 Disagree0

Neville has been a good captain for us

Guys I want to know. Who will be going for next week when it is Man U vs Man City. I hate both sides, but the cockiness shown by Man U supporters when they were 2 up and Red Rose Nose Fergie hugging the Ref made me spew up before Everton put them Back in their place. PS Wasn't it good to see Greg Louganis Sorry I mean Ashley Young Start on the bench. PS Again Man City for me.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Man city all day long for me, well at least until they win 3 more titles after this one then we can all start hating them like Chelsea lol

Without Pienaar we needed a decent winger for the semi - but Drenthe went awol on the week we needed him most - thanks a lot Roy you probably cost us that semi :( you should be hounded out of the club - that's after moyes gave you the chance to resurrect your career - no one decent is going to want you now - bye bye

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Still waiting for the full story on Drenthe, keep hearing that he grabbed moyesee by the throat and threatened him, can't see him standing for long if he did grab Moyesees throat he woulda gotten the Kirkby sorry meant Jock kiss {Ed024's Note - Drenthe obviously crossed the line and you don't do that with moyes, we are better off without him

Eds,do you know something that we donnt and why does everyone assume were going to have a good transfer window? Where is the money going to come from and dont say sales of Jags or Rodwell because Moyes wont sell Jags and nobody will want Rodwell at the moment due to his injury problems can you tell us anything are the board making any money available? If so lets get Dempsey! {Ed025's Note - its all speculation mate, born out out of hope, rather than fact, i expect us to do some business, but dont think there will be big money spent..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Will the jelly man get the no. 9 shirt next season!! Been an awfully long time since we've had a proper no. 9!!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Its been a long time since we had a player we can actually call a striker!! Nothing against all the other strikers we hav had but jelavic is in a class of his own, im only hoping none of the top four dont go in for him as I can see them all looking at him for next season considering how well hes played for us up to now, but lets just hope if they do come in for him he sticks the middle finger at them and say I play for the best club in the world, EVERTON and thats were im staying.COYB.ewefc

There you go. THAT'S what can happen when you have a go at the top teams, instead of some of the feeble defeats we've become accustomed too.
Fellaini outstanding. Pienaar must be signed in the summer and Jelavic? What a steal at £5.5m. Not many comeback from 3-1 and 4-2 down to claim a point at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney, we have just totally de-railed your title bid!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

You mean feeble as in a 1-0 win over City, 2-0 win over Chelsea and a 1-0 win over Spurs?

As i have been saying for a long time Cahill can no longer start upfront anymore.
He's not the player he once once, but yet again, when he came on he looked good playing centre mid, said for a while if anything he needs to be dropped deeper would be actually a decent side if we had Gibson and Cahill centre mid with Fellaini supporting Jelavic
