Two 40 point mediocre mid table sides serving up a large slice of boredom!
39000 at Goodson deserve their ticket money back!
If after a couple of weeks a home game SA picks an obvious formation and the same old culprits, today I will give Schneiderlin his due he has been effective and Walcott lively but no end result the rest well there you go!

Cmon Everton for gods sake give something back to the fans second half!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - to be fair to sam there is not a lot there to work with, a lot of very mediocre players in our side wakka and whoever comes in will have to start from scratch i feel mate..

23 Apr 2018 21:07:47
Totally agree ed025 but there are a few on the fringe that may benefit from a run out in games like this?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats fair wakka mate..

23 Apr 2018 21:55:52
Particularly think Funes Mori over Keane, instead of Davies coming on maybe Klassen, could he have done any worse? And Vlasic for Bolassie who again was poor!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - not a very good watch again wakka..

23 Apr 2018 22:01:29
Let’s hope we have massive change all round next season ed025 I cannot see fans putting up with this for much longer! Maybe the board will read the survey lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the thing is wakka that whoever comes in has one hell of a job on their hands, there is no easy fix here and the guy will need time and patience from the fans mate..

23 Apr 2018 22:06:14
Won 9 drawn 6 lost 8 under Sam. 1.4pts a game.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - watched 23, entertained in 1(west ham), and missed corrie for that..

Schneiderlin was okay rather than effective, strange that the bloke has only started playing anywhere near his true form since we have been virtually safe. For a so-called top player, for me that is deplorable. As others have said Allardyce has not had a lot to work with but imo since becoming mathematically safe, the bloke should at least have experimented and again imo, looking at the 45 points we have now, I am certain Unsworth would have done just as well if not better. We know Baningwe for instance has immense potential as do many of our U23's. Here is hoping Moshri has delivered the message tonight most of us hope he has.

Has nothing to work with?
He's bleated on about having too big a squad. If he tried not of them he might have hit a winning formula.
Sometimes it's about building a team not relying on the safe option.

I'm afraid I'm still in the Scheiderlin out camp. He might of put together a run of 2-3 half decent games (and I mean only half decent games- he's not been a game changer) but where was he the rest of the season? I expect at least effort and commitment from the players and he's been missing for too many games.
Hopefully his improvement will mean we can get a bit more for him when we sell him but I don't trust him for next season - let him disappoint somewhere else.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Apr 2018 09:11:09
Scheiderlin was the most effective player on the park controlled the pace of the game broke up their attacks really well. When he went off we lost control invited more pressure and struggled in getting the ball back and when we did lost it pretty much straight away. I can see why the managers keep playing him as he is the best at what he does. Should never have sold Barry when we did as he was a very similar player. Having said that the football we played was very very dull.

First half was awful. I felt nothing. Nothing at all good or bad. I may aswell been a rock or a stone.

What a boring team. why have we played the same system for the last few years try something different. Pickford Coleman jags Keane Baines schnids Rooney Walcott boalsie/ valsic dcl tosan. Something different!

will be interesting to see what atmosphere is like tonight ed25. I think that there is going to be lot of alladyce out tonight do u agree.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - there well could be bretto, i hope we just win the game and it goes off with no anti sam chanting as we dont want to be seen or heard in the media as toxic fans mate, let the men in charge decide his fate..

23 Apr 2018 17:37:44
I am shouting it now mates, alladyce out tonight, alladyce out tonight, alladyce out tonight, lol.

I think with Moshiri being there, the chants will be getting fired to let Moshiri see how unhappy the fans are. But I agree with you ed, let's just win the game.

23 Apr 2018 19:11:37
First time in my life, I would accept defeat if it got rid of Sam? most boring football I have seen from him?

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Apr 2018 19:54:13
A valid point Ed last thing we need is to be seen as toxic by the media, hopefully after recent weeks and the survey results it will give a strong enough indication that the fan base is not happy with Sam.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it will ST and then its up to farhad and co to do their jobs mate..

23 Apr 2018 22:35:22
Wasn't toxic just quiet. Need him out though.

Not sure what David Dein is doing, or indeed his age, but if he is looking for a roll, we could do worse than put him on the short list for CEO, experance, contacts, and a track record for driving a club forward, it has to be worth the conversation!

Hi ed, seeing the rumours about Wenger and you saying about a possibility of linking up with Tuchel on the Arsenal page. Do you see any chances of him wanting to stay in the prem possibly for us or do you feel he'd leave due to the connection with Arsenal? Cheers mate.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - he does not want to work for another Prem side.}

23 Apr 2018 15:18:42
Unless he moves out of Europe then he could still face Arsenal twice a year.

23 Apr 2018 12:18:26
In my opinion, we are seeing the end of Allardyce. I say this due to the current comments he is making through the press.
Him asking for clarity on his position was the first and furthermore his statement regarding Unsworth struggling to manage first team affairs.
I certainly think he is going to get clarity on his position after tonight's game particularly as it has been so well publicised that Moshiri will be in attendance tonight.

Please Fahad - just get rid of this waste of space.

Now we are seeing the payoff required to handle such a man.
It was always going to leave a horrid residue. He will go down all guns that one.

Many Evertonians warmed to David Moyes when he called us "the people's club".
Many Evertonians warmed to Roberto Martinez when he delivered a promising first season.
Many Evertonians warmed to Ronald Koeman when he spoke with such refreshing honesty about the team.
I don't know ANY Evertonians who have warmed to Sam Allardyce - be that due to his tactics, player selection, self-promotion, or media comments.

BobbyC I have not watched one full press conference or interview with him. It boils my blood when people knock us for not liking him or when they defend him saying what do everton fans want? Answer: not this tit.

BobbyC got side tracked there haha. That's very interesting comment. They all had something we could buy into and we need that. Very good post mate.

Hi Ed I know nothing is settled as yet regards the DOF but wondered if you could offer your insight on some aspects of the role.
The reason I ask is the press are reporting Brands is joining. They are also now reporting that Brands will want Hirving Lozano as one of his first signings and it’s also reported that Lozano is changing agent to Raiola.
So I would love to see Brands and love to sign Lozano but when you have a DOF do they just sign players and the manager to basically get on with it? As it’s likely we are changing manager in the summer wouldn’t we wait for his input?
Just wondering if you can explain a little, thanks in advance Ed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - A Director of Football would work with the manager to bring players in, but the scouting staff will report in to the Director of Football and he would guide the negotiation process (it varies club-by-club whether they actually do the negotiation or not). There is certainly interest from elsewhere in Lozano but he was a player that Ronald Koeman was very keen on. A couple of points. If Brands were to take players immediately from PSV then his reputation will immediately go down the pan - it is totally unprofessional. Additionally, if Everton has in any way at all encouraged Lozano to move to Mino Raiola then they will be subject to action from Andres Fassi and it would likely end up in the hands of FIFA and could have very significant consequences. This isn't just unprofessional, it is in breach of FIFA regulations - so they need to be extremely careful. If there is to be a change of manager Brands would have been consulted.}

23 Apr 2018 10:25:23
Ed. wouldn't it make sense for PSV to have some clause in there saying he cannot take any players for a period, if it is true that brands has agreed to come and PSV have agreed to let him go.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Regardless of any "clauses" in his contract with PSV, it is not the done thing to act unprofessionally. Typically in such cases, there would be a gentleman's agreement covering such matters.}

23 Apr 2018 11:06:16
Unless they want a more than anyone else would offer if we/ brands where to come in for any PSV players. I just hope the club as a whole get thins right this summer including the fans we need to lower our expectations in the development stages of a new manager new dof new owners good things take time to build.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Apr 2018 12:03:18
Doesnt Lozano have a third-party ownership too? Or is that what you're referring to, Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Lozano is 100% owned by PSV.}

23 Apr 2018 12:51:33
Ah right! Apologies, just something a friend told me tat I hadnt checked myself.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Third party ownership is outlawed in most of the world now Hugo.}

I see Sam this morning is bigging himself up again. This time breaking confidence in what Unsworth said to him when he took over. The guy will use anything or anyone to make himself look good.

I give him credit for keeping us up but not the football. He has proven as we all said that he can not produce an exciting team to watch. Not even a hint of it.

Hopefully, the board will make the right decision soon in booting him out of the club and we can all move on.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Seems a last act of a desperate man to take credit for a game in which he had no involvement. Knows he's going.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Apr 2018 09:41:47
There is no depth to which Allerdyce wouldn't sink. To break Unsworths comments (if true) to the public domain is the lowest of the lowest. I believe that he knows his time is up and will stop at nothing to degrade our great club. Get rid of this gum chewing tosser as soon as possible.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Apr 2018 10:31:41
The history books will show that Unsworth managed the West Ham game. that is all that matters.
One thing we do need though, if we get a new manager, is one who will try and win every game, a winning mentality.
If we are to win a cup of any sort, then we need to be able to beat one or more of the top 6 to do it. Our previous recent managers with the exception of Martinez haven't had that mentality, and approach those games with too much fear.
