Koeman having the cheek to say it was a good decision to change the system and pretty much take credit for the win, swallow your pride and ye ego and admit you are wrong, tactically inept and treated Niasse disgracefully.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

24 Sep 2017 08:38:59
To be fair he changed the tactics and made great substitutions. So you have to give him credit for it.

You just sound bitter.

Why is it people don't want him or some players to succeed? I thought Niasse was utter pants and wanted him out but I couldn't have been happier that he's been on the pitch the past two games proving me and 99% of others that he's got a bit of potential.

We've just won two on the bounce give credit where it's due. He picked the team, the tactics, made the substitions. If we got beat have a go and pick out the faults.

Stop wanting him to fail and support the team which includes the manager.

Agree5 Disagree3

24 Sep 2017 09:20:18
Thoroughly agree BlueJohnUns. I'd nearly go as far as Niasse proved 100% of us wrong and probably 100% of us are glad he done so. Koeman included, in fact Koeman especially.

Agree3 Disagree1

24 Sep 2017 10:35:23
in all fairness he did change the system and went 442 but we still lack pace and koeman needs to start playing mirallas, lookman or vlasic over klasson who needs time to adapt to this league.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Sep 2017 12:21:29
So having a go at Koeman for for doing his job is a popular thing to do now. Come on blues, this is silly. We were lauding the man this time last season for doing what he did yesterday. Saying that Martinez was too stubborn to change.

Look at us after a bad patch, fickle and bitter. Ok we have had a tonking at the start of the season, but with a new team and a tough run what did you all expect?

We’re missing a striker and lack continuity. The former is not Koemans fault and the latter is a work in progress.

Now this site is about opinions and many may disagree with mine. But I will give the guy my support for a lot longer yet.

How many times has Ron changed the system or made tactical subs, how can anyone give credit to Ron for changing to a 4 4 2 we should have started with that at home to Bournemouth, once that starting lineup was announced very few Evertonians were happy with the selection, I will gladly give Ron credit, if and when he actually starts with the team that finished yesterday's game, I agree with the first poster, stealing credit from his own cockup selection from the start, give credit to akenny, Davies and Naisse, they are the ones who got our results the last two games along with Calvert Lewin in his favoured striker role.

Agree1 Disagree2

24 Sep 2017 13:37:44
We have a striker, his name is Niasse, so who's fault is it then that he has never been given a chance until last week, the manager picks the team so I would say after Unsworth praising the guy and getting a response of the under 23 matches are like a training exercise Totally ignoring to the extent of move on if you want to play first team football, I will gladly support the manager and hope the penny drops on his selection and formation, doubt anyone wants Ronnie gone, but at the same time he needs to step up, stop picking his favourites and play players in form, that is what is bothering a lot of Evertonians, the starting line ups and all too often having to make changes to rescue a game week in week out.

Agree2 Disagree3

24 Sep 2017 13:52:44
He stepped up yesterday. We won.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Sep 2017 14:34:55
He did Bluejohn and against Bournemouth the team that finished the match should have been the starting 11 playing two defensive midfielders at home to Bournemouth is a no no from me, have some balls start 4 4 2 and go for it from the off. The penny will finally drop, it takes time I know, let the other teams worry about us and not vice versa.

Agree1 Disagree1

23 Sep 2017 20:24:38
I have to say I had a lump in my throat today after naisse scored his 2 goals and saved us, that man has been thrown to the lions, he's kept his head down and worked hard to get his chance, half the team who don't get play every game sulk and want to leave, the bloke should be a mentor for every player wearing the blue shirt, no body has the right just to walk in to our beloved team, you earn it like he has, I just hope RK now gives him the chance to flourish.

Believable10 Unbelievable0

23 Sep 2017 20:58:26
He did save our bacon today but his first touch is still woeful and he can't trap a bag of cement but at least he knows where the goal is. and at this moment we need someone like that.

Agree0 Disagree12

23 Sep 2017 21:11:21
I know another player like that. scored the winner today at Southampton ( I'm not suggesting the two players in question are equals) . would also like to point out niasse's control for the goal midweek against sunderland.

Agree6 Disagree0

23 Sep 2017 21:13:00
Agree with that Geoff mate R K will have to sort it out in Jan.

Agree1 Disagree2

23 Sep 2017 21:50:19
Jcl1878 we might have a player that will score goals and work hard, not just have a player who stands waiting for a goal to be out on a plate for them, remember he was player of the season in Russia when we bought him, it's a big ask to adapt to living here and playing here, let's just hope he's now found his feet and if can can add 10_ 15 goals this season then we've had a good striker, already scored 3 in 2 games so hopefully when he gets his confidence who knows what he could turn out like.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your right heart, i was a doubting thomas like the rest but give the guy his dues he has stepped up to the plate and is currently doing what all the big name signings have failed to do mate...hit the back of the net..

23 Sep 2017 21:54:44
I don’t see much difference between Lukaku and Niasse apart from Lukaku goals which he was playing every week, Niasse has not had chance yet to stake a claim but I don’t think Koeman can leave him out now 3 goals in 2 games or should I say 3 goals in 40 mins.

Agree5 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he is not the second coming metz, but when we needed a scorer this guy showed what he can bring to the side, drop him at your peril ronnie...the guy just saved your job..

23 Sep 2017 22:09:18
Ed do you think Koeman would have been in trouble if we had lost today?

Got to be honest but I personally don't see it with our board. They let RM stagnate and go backwards for months and only eventually took action because things got too toxic to tolerate anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i do you know CT, maybe not sacked but one whole heap of pressure on him mate..

23 Sep 2017 22:32:01
Blue heart. totally agree. I'm all for him. but just pointing out that a poor first touch does not mean he won't score goals. lukaku can't trap wind but he bangs them in. what was good about today was we actually played 4-4-2. I'd like to see more of that.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Sep 2017 23:30:52
Ctoffee I was thinking the same, Niasse treated like vermin by Ron last season and today saved him his job, yet come Thursday and Sunday he will revert back to his square pegs in round holes formation.

I'm not a manager and not pretending to be, but surely you pay nearly £50m for a number 10 so you play him in that position! Surely after how long it took to get that deal done the board are going to be wondering the same as us fans as to why we paid that much for a winger!

I am beginning to doubt Ron and his systems and think he is trying to accommodate 3 number 10's in the same midfield and thus losing any shape. Rooney isn't a striker anymore he is a number 10, Sigs isnta winger he's a number 10 and Klassen he's a number 10, its one out of them 3 please Rom, preferably Sigs and not all 3 with 2 out of position.

I was all for the transition reason for our start at first yet know I'm fully on the managers case for playing too many players out of position to keep them happy at the expense of a balanced side. Sort it out Ron, you won't get lucky every week.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Sep 2017 23:06:42
Ed25, you know I have been saying it for a while now about giving Niasse a chance, I got shot down in flames by some for even daring suggesting the guy deserves a chance, remember me saying weeks ago he will score a few for us and then knowing our luck will not sign a contract and leave on a free, no one can judge the guy if he simply has not been given a chance, I am made up for the guy after the way he has been treated by our manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im made up for us as well as oumar baz, seems like nice guy as well which helps and everyone loves a rags to riches story mate..

24 Sep 2017 10:29:10
I understand everyone moaning about how koeman treated Niasse but do you really think he came to this conclusion himself on his first day at the club he would of listened to coaches who where already there and took their advice yes he was treated poorly and should of been given a chance but at the same time other staff members must feeling a bit idiotic this morning saying that I won't get too carried away by his 3 goals if he can do it regularly then questions should be asked why everybody at the club thought he was pants.

Everton as we have seen over the last 15 years have a patient board, I do not believe RK is in any trouble whatsoever, he will e given time and funds to rebuild as we all know it is not an instant task.
Niasse has shown a lot of class, remained humble and worked hard with the U23's or on loan last year at hull. He has not sulked, demanded a move but has been outcast by the manager who I fell should show some response tads recent performances, I'm sure the crowds reaction to him yesterday would have given him a massive boost.
Yet again the fearless displays by our youngsters lifted the day for the team and the fans, they will make mistakes but they are worth sticking with!

Maybe the guy has been too nice in going about his business and trying to settle in with new club, but one thing is for sure you can’t leave him out next team.

24 Sep 2017 02:29:03
Also it seems that Davies is on same wave length as Niasse. 2 games and Davies has contributed to all 3 goals from Niasse. keep em together and for God sake, play Kenny from the start. In 90 mins he will probably be the biggest attacking threat since baines in him upmost prime.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Sep 2017 18:33:21
Niasse saved us today. We've spent 40 million pounds on a player whose not even playing in his position, got to put him behind the striker and drop Rooney who was poor. Martina is a space cadet and Jonjoe showed everything we were missing with great tackling and good delivery. It's time for RK to play the players on form.

The passion of love big dunc has for are club he has to be are next manager did you see him on niasses goals he was like me in me living room. So happy for oumar needs a start thursday with Dom up top.

23 Sep 2017 17:35:19
Yes it was great to see. Him and Unsworth for me in a couple of years time, what a team they would make. I think the crowd made Koeman aware of their feelings towards Niasse.

Agree2 Disagree1

23 Sep 2017 17:50:33
play both of them as a two up front, they have pace. 3 at the back, Gueye in front of them for protection, with wing backs for width, suguurdson and rooney in the middle. That was a God awful game today, no width until Davis came to life. Koeman needs to drop Klaasen and Scheiderlin to the bench.

23 Sep 2017 17:08:35
RK was quick to publicly dismiss niasse. think he needs to publicly apologise. RK still playing klaasen, Gana, Schneiderlin, and SIGs in same side. it doesn't work. not doing any of them any favours. also calvert-lewin. growing with every game. hold up play, headers won. lads got it. also final mention for Tom Davies . he changed game for me. involved in both goals.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

23 Sep 2017 17:25:39
What does Gana playing have to do with Klaassen and Sig? He's a completely different kind of player, and prob one of our best. To leave him out would be a sin.

Agree6 Disagree3

23 Sep 2017 17:33:49
Sorry I wasn't clear. playing all 4 together doesn't work. for me Gana is one of first on team sheet. but u can't play all of them. Gana is the holding midfielder, so depending on formation there is one or two other central midfield roles available .
Today sigurdson was played left mid? So that he could also play klaasen and Schneiderlin in middle.3into 2 does not go.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Sep 2017 17:43:08
Worcester. just to add. I didn't say Gana shouldn't be played 😉.

How much better we looked when Niasse, Davies and Kenny came on. We need to stick with those three players and they need to start. DCL was great the whole match. Unfortunately Holgate was not so good but hopefully will improve with time. Good win and Niasse saved Koeman's bacon.

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Sep 2017 18:29:30
Niasse plays on the last defender and runs in behind like a striker should get those defenders running towards their own goal, this is something we have been missing.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Sep 2017 16:56:05
Niasse again, WOW. Who would have thought he'd be our saviour

I admit, i only thought he should be given a chance out of sheer desperation and i offer my genuine apologies for the smack I've said about him. Time for him to be given a real chance now, a fresh start in the eyes of all Evertonians.

I have to agree this side is terrible I Want him gone more than I wanted Roberto gone. I wish he would just go and take rooney and half of what he has bouhgt with him . I said last week if we can't beat Bournemouth at home he has to go before its to late no excuse today even Ronald koeman lovers can't argue today.

{Ed025's Note - im with you GB its so early in the piece and its not time to panic just yet, i said from the beginning of this journey that it would take time and especially with the run of games we have had it was always going to be a big ask early on, as you say lets get behind the club and see where we are when things settle down, its a marathon not a sprint mate..

Premier League Match Previews Saturday 23rd September 2017

23 Sep 2017 07:34:39
{Ed's Note - we have posted a new article entitled, Premier League Match Previews Saturday 23rd September 2017

Believable0 Unbelievable0

23 Sep 2017 08:15:57
reading our preview you can see ED01 is a red I don't expect to lose any game and when we play the so called big boys you say all we expect is a good display what a load of rubbish having a little dig making us sound like a newly promoted team have to say your preview stinks of being a bitter red.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - oh grow up. If you are such an arrogant tit as to EXPECT to beat Man Utd then that is your own fault that you get upset about being beaten. It was nothing to do with being a newly promoted team or because you are Everton, I say the same about Liverpool. Bitter is you, who reads things into what I say, purely because you assume things. Especially as your own posts almost said exactly the same kind of thing! What kind of idiot are you to jump down someone else's throat for saying pretty much what you yourself have said about those games? This is why some people should not have access to the internet, they just want to find excuses to be idiots and have sly digs at others.}

23 Sep 2017 08:57:37
Bluey79 calm down when you read that. As hard as it is to think that Ed001 is not being personal I don't think he is. He is being realistic. People expecting us to be top of the table after the teams we played are away with the fairy's if you ask me.

I totally agree with aiming high and also improving but I'm not naive enough to think all we need to do is put it in the microwave and it will be done in 5mins.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Sep 2017 09:08:30
We all hope for a victory but deep down we know everyone would have to perfect in every game and get every decision in football never happens we lose to the other teams and sometime beat the big teams when it's unexpected like city last year 4-0 games
Change from time to time and this year it looks like we will struggle to beat top teams without an experienced striker.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Sep 2017 14:13:31

It is good in a way. Like Roy Keane and how he fell out with the whole Irish set up was that exact thing. He wanted to play and prepare every game like your going to win. There is a lot to said for it. When your the player I think you have to think like that but as supporters we have the luxury of being able to be more realistic.
