We have a bit of confidence again and home advantage for the chelsea game, but I'm a bit concerned we have two top teams coming to Goodison with the feeling that they have something to get out of their systems because of the last matches they played.

Everyone, please tell me your view on my question below

If a player gets badly injured, bad enough to have to be taken off, after all the teams substitutes have been used, should the manager be allowed to bring on a replacement?

I've seen it happen to teams before where they have been reduced to ten men due to an injury while the other team still has 11 men and believe its unfair on the team who lose's the player.
I think that it should be allowed as long as the officials make sure the injury is serious enough.

So what does everyone else think? Please respond as I really want to know your views on it.

Breeno {Ed003's Note - The manager has three subs to use and knows very well if he uses all three if an injury occurs thats just bad luck }

What a totally pointless and stupid thing to say! 3 subs is the way it should be regardless of what happens! Why are people determined to change the game! This is an everton rumour and banter site lets stick to matters involving everton and leave all the other crap at the door! {Ed001's Note - if people want to discuss it, who are you to tell them it is not to be discussed? You have given your opinion of the idea, why not let others give their's?}

Agree1 Disagree1

A perfectly valid question regardless of the unnecessary, angry response. It's always good to talk about football matters (Everton or not) and share ideas and opinions.
I think the idea of more than three subs would lead to a lot of faking serious injury when all three have been used, just to get more fresh legs.(Not by the blues, obviously). Sadly teams today would abuse the rule, but good idea anyway mate.

Agree2 Disagree1

I agree with you mate. It could be open to abuse with players faking injury but a team should not have to play with ten men if one of their players gets crippled once they have used all their substitutes.

Anyone Else think that we should play 4-1-2-1-2
Howard
Hibbert Jags Distin Baines
Felli
Rodwell Drenthe
Cahill
Saha
Ed do you think that this is worth a protest or just kick it in the closet? {Ed001's Note - I think you have to accept Moyes style or look for a different manager.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Only 10 players there, missing one in midfield!

Agree1 Disagree0

Thats an awful team theres only ten players lol im guesding you want tolis up top with saha? Thats very good team woud like to see it!

Ed001 what are your thoughts on our season so far. What has been going well and what has to happen for us to improve? {Ed001's Note - there is only one thing I can see that needs to change - tactics. Moyes needs to make use of the attacking side of players far more than he does. At the end of the day, so far this season, the club is much better off than this time last year. With another late season surge, I still think Everton can get a European place at the end of the season. How about you? Pleased with things? Or would you want to make some changes?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree ed the only thing that needs sorting is the tactics! Set the team up to be positive and attack minded with fellani protecting the back 4 and we will win alot more than we lose!

Was at the game yesterday and think the positive changes by Moyes helped but we still appear very shakey on the ball and only for Howard we could have conceded a couple in the first half alone! But in the end we got what we came for 3 well earned points! Do wonder if Cahill would have scored if he had of got the two free headers we missed in the first half tho! My biggest grip of the the day was against the Mad Blue supporter sat right behind me. As he shouted his brains out through out the whole match (which i admire) unfortunatly spit was flying out of his mouth the whole time over my hair and the guy beside me had to put up the hood on his jacket as he was soaked! I had to tell him twice about it as i thought he was going to start a fight! So Please fellow blue CALM DOWN CALM DOWN and hopefully you havent got HEP C or worse!! Anyhow we got a much needed win and i rushed back to the hotel for a shower and a change of clothes!!

Let's not kid ourselves here lads. After we scored we went back to negative football
thats so evident this season with Moyes.
We were woeful in the 2nd half and hung on with Howard coming to our rescue once again.
Fulham looked tired and poor and we didn't take advantage instead we gave them encouragement inviting them to attack us.
Zamora should of scored and we couldn't of argued with the result, we got lucky but its 3 points and we'l take it, but we still have to improve if we want to pick points up in future games {Ed025's Note - your right mate, we met them at a great time for us, but a win is a win, i just hope we build on it, and start playing some decent stuff!..

What if we play 4-3-2-1:
Howard
Heitinga. Distin. Jags. Baines
Osman. Feli Rodwell
Saha. Drenthe
Vellios

Then later on we could swap feli for barkley

Saha out wide?!? Have you ever seen anything to suggest he coulg be a winger you plum!!

Agreed lets get some intensity

I think we have the slowest tempo in the premier league. We are almost like chelsea in the Mourinho years (slightly worse in all areas). Fellaini and rodwell are as cool as winter in moscow but no intensity,

If a light switches on somewhere in the deepest depths of their cortices then we may see the dynamism needed to convert undoubted talent - and its there - into class performances.

Its just all too laboured. Barkley is spritely, I really hope the current mentality doesnt rub off too hard on him. If he influences them, its game on. If not, its grindy grindy same old same old.

COYB -
p.s. Rodwells challenge = good
