Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

So far the transfer window has proved to be a success even though Gomez has only played one game and we still have Mins to play his debut. I've got to hail the Richarlison deal as most people with myself included thought 40m was crazy for him. We had so much missing last season but the club has resolved so many issues in such a short time. Tosun and DLC are good enough for us but I still think we need a top striker. After that, I still think another player is needed in CM but it is something that may be best waiting for to assess how Davies and Beni do. I'm happy with the full backs and Mins should add quality competition to Zouma and Lean who are on form and working well together. Koeman said we collected wingers, we did but not quality ones and now we have 4 quality wingers imo. In January a striker if the right one is available. Apart from that next summer for the transfers for me. We could do with quality competition for Pickford. Sig is looking class as well I must add. Things look to be forming nicely atm.

If we are to target top 6/4 We need a quality right back to push Coleman. Kenny is one for the future but not for now.
Definitely need a top striker though.

I still think 7th to 10th is a good season. The new players will be even better next year plus a couple of other additions and I expect us to really push 5th/ 6th and the season after kick on again.

It's going to be tough but if we get some consistency and continue the improvements in the playing areas we can achieve something.

I'm with both of you with needing another RB and CF but it has to be the right ones coming in and if it's not there in Jan have a plan for the summer.

I am with you BJU. I would add that one of our problems will be holding onto young players whilst we progress. Pickford and Richarlison will both want Champions League football within a year or two. Champions League regulars will be looking for bright young prospects. So one of our main things must be to tie these players down with lucrative long contracts. Then at least we will get good money for them if the "elite" teams come knocking. We could also do with unearthing a new kid or two and get a Harry Kane or Rooney coming through. Yes we are a million miles better than last season and have recovered our perilous situation much better than I could have expected. But I suspect Richarlison will have Barcelona and Real Madrid and many others after him very soon.

good post and I totally agree. We really are not that far from a very very good side and I predict we will win the champions league in the next 5-6 years. Don't everybody laugh and I haven't been on the sauce that's how I see us going as I firmly believe that we have the right structure at every level within the club to achieve .

I wouldn't laugh alanthomo, but I would say that is being very optomistic. Whilst we have made huge strides, our rivals are also moving forwards too. Our biggest rivals even have a "throw in coach" now. Whilst that might seem a little simple, there are implications to playing with modern day center halves for instance. We all know that England did exceptionally well in the world cup and I have banged on and on about John Stones and Harry Maguire as being a new breed of center backs that play football out from the back and England did this very successfully and surprised everyone (including me) . Well Man City started this process and LFC are now following this continental way of football as the best examples. If you think of throw ins. it is not just about how to take them, it also means positional changes if you plan to play football all over the pitch. I firmly believe this is an evolution in English football at the moment. As yet Everton are starting to do this a little, but until I see Mina play a bit I don't know if this is our managers plan? I suspect it is. But my point is that these changes are not just limited to throw ins. the structures and staffing of clubs are moving forwards and to stay still means you are left behind. I see us creeping up the table if we hold onto our best players and staff. and indeed add to them and evolve. But Champions League in that sort of time scale is a very big ask. Maybe Champions League qualification is a more realistic target? It took Spurs and LFC some years of investment and structural change to get that far. So I think it will take us that too.

Having watched Man Utd get schooled by Juve in the CL it should be a close game on Sunday. They were poor again in the first half and not much better second. They have great players in attack but something seems amiss lately. I don't get the hype about Pogba. He's overrated as far as I'm concerned. He has maybe one or two decent moments a game and the pundits love him. Anyway, 2-1 to us or possibly 2-2.

I think they will be worried about us, they are there for the taking, the score will depend on how brave we are, I really think we are the only winners in this game, just hope some one laughs in lukaku face at the end of the game.

I'm hoping for a cheeky 2-1 win. Hope we continue with just 1 defensive midfielder and let Gomez do what he does best and spray forward passes about, leaving front 4 to concentrate on being attackers and not coming deep for the ball.
