More and more of our fans are sounding like west ham or Newcastle fans. Not interested in what he does to try and win a game or give him credit but instead slate every single thing he does and not even in a constructive manner. It's not just on here but also at the game.

Am I his biggest fan - no. However, I can't justify criticising him when he gets three points. He and the team done their job.

He deserves support and time. He has the best win% since Kendalls 1st stint and is 5th all time discounting managers with less than 10 games at the club.

There's loads I can't stand about his tactics like 3 at the back and lack of width but if he wins games he is vindicated in whatever he does. He's won 2 on the bounce and hardly anyone wants to give him a break and instead continue to have a go.

As for Niasse I'm made up he is proving me wrong but I'm pretty sure we all saw how bad he was when first coming onto the scene. On top of that his arrest probably didn't endear him to the club when he 1st came either.

Everyone deserves a second chance and we're giving that to Niasse so why not do the same with Koeman.

Do what you want but some of you sound like you are getting bitter and will probably have a heart attack by the end of the month. I'll criticise when we don't win and played badly but I'll make sure I'll give support and credit when things go right.

{Ed025's Note - very fair comments there john mate..

Good post BlueJohn.

24 Sep 2017 23:19:22
I think it depends how the criticism is put across. RK has my full support as soon as we take to the field, and I understand that he is trying to work out how to play with all the new players.

However he has repeated the same selection and tactical mistakes in several games, which for me has got me a little worried.

That being said, he does deserve credit for the last 2 wins, and irrespective of whether he should have started with the players who came on, he made the changes and we won the game as a result of those changes.

I'm hoping he's learning from his mistakes and that this time next week we will have 2 more wins under our belt and will be feeling like we are making as much progress on field as off it.

I can see why fans are getting frustrated, but remember we have a new team and not being sure what is the best system and what players to pick, it's like he's thought just throw them all in the team and eventually they will click and the result will come, but watching as a fan it looks like same old bad tactics, which I think it is, you play with your trusted set up and add slowly to the team, we had some of the best teams in the league so far so it's abit unfair to judge yet, as we could of easily lost to these with out the new player and with lukaku still in the team, we got threw against bournemouth and that 2 wins in a row now, that will give confidence and hopefully things will start to move forward, naisse will hopefully give us another dimension and the one we have been missing.

Spot on again BlueJohnUns.

Agree0 Disagree2

25 Sep 2017 17:23:31
Ronnie got it spot on last Wednesday, then for some reason he went back to the excact same formation and team selection that saw us on the end of 4 defeats without a goal, he rectified that second half and brought on the players that did so well in the Wednesday game and again we were much better and got the result we deserve, I think the fans frustration is that when we come to play Burnley, you almost spect Ronnie to do the same again and start with the same players that started against Bournemouth, every fan will back Ronnie, but he simply cannot carry on starting a match with the same formation and players selections, that is what is bothering most Evertonians, not moaning, not slating Ronnie, but singly frustrated that it's the same week in week out until we make tactical subs, get those players on from the start and let the opponents worry about us.

Agree0 Disagree1

25 Sep 2017 19:35:25
Baz I'm setting you a challenge. Give me 5 things Ronnie has done right in the past two games.

Nothing else in the post just positives. I might start listening to some of the things you say if you can manage it.

Also, why are you frustrated with the Burnley game that is after our next one and when you don't even know who he is going to pick. You are setting yourself up to be disappointed for no reason at all. You are talking absolute madness and moaning, yes moaning, already about a game that hasn't even been played!

24 Sep 2017 19:53:30
Skin of the teeth stuff yesterday. Still very poor and confidence lowest I've seen for some time - really don't understand the line ups or tactics!
Absolutely thrilled for Niasse. he has been treated appallingly since he arrived and never heard a word of complaint. go on son, be the difference we need!

bluejohn i back our manager but for me mate i think it could be time to go, i think the pressure of being our manager is becoming a bit much for him, i can fully understand the fans thinking the same, fallouts with barkley mirralas niasse, playing players out of position, playing 3 number 10's at home to bournemouth and 2 holding mids aswell it his completely mental, i was there and was not happy, wasted sub in kenny when he should have started, besides the cup game against a poor sunderland the previous games were awful and at home yesterday he didn't sort it out, your missing the bigger picture, if defoe scores itwas probably game over, we need to face it, he got it wrong again, i hope he goes with more width with 2 strikers and everything is rosie, but if he doesn't he has got to go in my opinion.

Agree3 Disagree1

25 Sep 2017 09:59:59
Kev has fallen out with every manager we've had because he's lazy and up his own you know what.

The fans fell out with Barkley before Ron did and he's choosing to leave. If he doesn't want to put a shift in then most managers will fall out with him. Niasse was binned ofc by Martinez before Ron as well and the fans were slating him after his first couple of performances.

I don't like his tactics sometimes either but if they come off like they did on Saturday you can't focus on the negatives. No one wants to give him credit for the three subs that all contributed to both goals we scored. Maybe it was the invisible man who made them.

Personally unlike some I want him and the manager and players, all of them, to succeed because if they do my club does. So when we win I'm going to dance and sing and bloody well enjoy it. The rest can bitch and moan all they want.

Agree1 Disagree2

25 Sep 2017 11:34:58
Exactly my own sentiment BlueJohnUns. Unfortunately, no matter what, you will always have a certain amount of supporters who will always find something to knock at the club and never anything positive to say.

Plenty ready to point out the games we lost and how we lost. We drew with Man City 1-1. Valuable point when you look at how Man City are destroying pretty much everyone they are playing this season.

Any truth in this Giroud rumour. Fotmob are quoting he's very keen to come to Everton after Sanchez staying and not having the game time wenger said he'd have. It's also quoting that Everton will be paying 40m in which Arsenal are more than keen for.

he didn't want us before. we should not go back now!

{Ed025's Note - he actually did nev, but his family and friends persuaded him to stay and he caved in mate..

Wonder what the team will look like on Thursday? No Niasse so would hope for

Pickford (not too fussed on Stek)
Kenny Keane Jags Baines
Gana Schneiderlin
Sig Davies Rooney
DCL

Could just play Gana in DCM and then another attacking option like Lookman or Mirrales.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i dont want schneiderlin and gana in the same team fluffy, just gana for me and lookman wide and tom in the hole mate..

24 Sep 2017 19:28:27
Spot on ed. Gana is the DCM. no one else for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - very much so jcl..

24 Sep 2017 20:15:14
No disrespect to the opposition but we shouldn’t need to play 2 DCM anyway, even if schneiderlin was playing well. 4-1-3-2 would do me and try to build on the positive results this week.

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Sep 2017 20:28:06
Totally agree with not playing Sinds and Gana. Davies played brilliant yesterday and gives so much more going forward. I think we are set up defensively with two DCM.

I think DCL has made the C. F. position his and Sandro has some catching up to do. I think if we would have won the first game you could ease up and change it up a bit but this is an important game to win Now.

I don't expect a whole lot of changes to be honest.

24 Sep 2017 22:46:51
Not a bad call that Kenny unfortunately Keane and Jags are both injured for Thursday with keane maybe back for Burnley, Jags won't be back until after international break so It looks like Holgate and Williams for Thursday again.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2017 23:23:53
Pickford
Kenny Holgate Williams Baines
Gueye Davies
Mirallas Sigurdsson Lookman
Calvert-Lewin

Give Rooney a rest, he can play on Sunday. Schneiderlin needs a few games on the bench. Martina needs a few games in a Sunday league team.

25 Sep 2017 01:36:42
I'd like to see
Pickford
Kenny. Keane Jags Baines

Gueye

Vlasic Davies Lookman

Dcl. Sandro

Just for the next game in Europe not pl.

I was at the game yesterday and thought that when he came on Niasse looked more assured and confident than the last time I saw him at Goodison.
On that occasion it was when he made his debut against West Ham, I thought at that time he looked very nervous and over eager to please, making him look like he had the coordination of a box of frogs. Like everyone else in the ground that day I couldn't for the life of me see why we had spunked that much money on him, part of me was sure that Martinez knew he didn't have much longer in the job and was trying to have the last laugh.
Fast forward to yesterday afternoon, a lot of time has passed and Niasse has had a season on loan, he now seems to have got to grips with the EPL and seemed a lot more composed and intelligent.
Having just watched the highlights again and in particular the goals, they were both well taken and neither were easy tap ins.
Life is strange and sport in particular has lots of tales of seemingly lost causes coming good, I'm not trying to say that Niasse will definately be the striker we do so much need but on his performances and attitude in the last 2 games he is certainly in with a shout.

Well Ed I have just watched our match from yesterday and I have to say I thought on the whole We played pretty well, for some to say on here that Scneiderlin, Sigurdsson and even Wayne played badly is beyond me, we were by far the best team in the first half and mighty unlucky mot to get a penalty, the second half the disallowed goal for the ball not crossing the line was very debateable, We then score another two from the sub, i sometimes think that most of the moaning is the get R K out brigade who do nothing but gripe every match, face it folks its not going to happen so let's get behind the team and support them instead of slating them all the time.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - i dont think we are fully up to speed yet GB but its certainly improving mate..

24 Sep 2017 16:21:19
Agree with that Ed I should have included Klassen above, team play far better than R M era.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont know about that just yet GB, i certainly think we have the makings of a good side but koeman is still experimenting with formations and some of our players have yet to flourish mate, but i feel that in a few weeks we will see more togetherness and the team ethic coming to the fore..

24 Sep 2017 19:30:12
Guernsey Blue, I fully accept what you are saying and there has been much criticism of late especially of RK but these fans many season ticket holders who pay good money to support our club are entitled to their opinion.

I accept sometimes fans can be critical unnecessarily
but also as they say " love is blind " and perhaps some supporters are unable to see issues that should be criticised.

The treatment of Naisse in particular has been nothing short of disgraceful and I think fans are particularly upset at how RK has behaved with him, coupled to stubbornness about choosing favourite players when it is obvious to fans what out formation should be.

I was particularly upset at RK trying to take credit for the substitutions yesterday when it was clearly obvious it was more like desperation.
Before the kick off all were saying playing at home in particular his team selection was wrong and all were proved right as when he desperately changed it the whole game changed.

Yes let's not be critical just for the sake of it but some times it is justified, as was the diabolical management of replacing Lukaku incidentally.

Point taken Trebor mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2017 19:52:06
Trevor did RK make the three substitutions? If he did then he must take credit for making the three substitutions.

The only other way would be if someone else made them.

If we'd won every game this season and we were 1 nil down and he makes them three subs we would be praising him.

24 Sep 2017 20:13:05

24 Sep 2017 12:32:03
I've never really been convinced by Koeman, even before this last month or so it seems to be the fashionable thing to do. Not convinced by his selections, tactics, development and even his sterness to some extent. But what really got me yesterday was (and match of the day partly highlighted it) was when Niasse scored his first, you saw bug Dunc go ballistic on the side line showing what it really meant to be a blue. Koeman almost looked downbeat. Regardless whether he has 'issues with Niasse, he's scoring an equaliser in a project Koeman is supposedly trying to get everyine on bored, and he looked the most miserable of the lot. Not heart whatsoever. Just there for his overpriced salary. Come on Barca. Make your supposed move sop. Ha.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

24 Sep 2017 13:49:50
That's your take on it Kingo. Me it looked like he thought a draw was not enough. When scored the second he had his hands in the air screaming as well.

I'm pretty sure he is not in the job to be a failure. let's be fair in our assessments.

If he does things badly point them out but also give credit. If you don't want to do that then maybe reassess your view of what a supporter is.

24 Sep 2017 14:21:22
Good shout BlueJohn mate, too much of that on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Sep 2017 14:34:35
Didn't most of us slate klipperty last season for celebrating a draw like it was a win. I would be concerned if he hadn't celebrated the 2nd, it is also his job to ship out anyone who isn't good enough and that was his assessment of Niasse last season. Like he has said he had to leave if he wanted to play he wouldn't have got a game with Lukaku and DCL in front of him. This season is different and maybe he has got his assessment wrong, the premier league is full of players who didn't make it at a club but is now smashing it at another club.

Kenny has to start, from the little I have seen from him he can play, that first time pass to Davies and then looked for the one two was all I needed most full backs would of took an extra touch.
I know Klassen is not performing yet but we need to get off his back, he is schooled a certain way the Ajax way, he will take time but I'm sure we have a player on our hands, you'll all be raving about him in 6-12 months time.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

24 Sep 2017 11:46:07
I agree about not getting on Klaassen's back, but the fact is we are struggling at the moment and with too many players just going through the motions we can't afford to carry him. He needs to come off the bench until he's used to playing at this level.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Sep 2017 11:49:08
Think it was Keown on MOTD that said spurs fans were on Eriksons back when he first joined from Ajax. If Klassen turns out to be as good as him then we have a player on our hands. Give him time to settle.
