DCL needs to be given opportunities at the right time as a striker. We can’t put to much pressure on him. Tosun is lacking in confidence but would he get in any of the top 6 teams side? No
We have to invest in a top striker who is clinical or play Richarlison up top and play Bernard on the left?

There is no doubt dcl offers something, for me he is still raw, making poor decisions and unless he improves on his decision making will not be the player to take us to the next level.

For me Teddy Sherrigham was the perfect striker, could score goals but was also unselfish, he knew if a player was in a better position, he would hand it to the player on a plate, that’s what we are lacking, that instinct to play the ball to a player in a better position, Tosun, dcl, never look for a better option to square the ball to.

That’s why I personally think we need to bring at least one striker, hopefully two, in the next window.

Enough chances yesterday and an offside goal. We don't get much at arsenal anyway so let's see what the next 2 games bring before we start with the sad faces.

There are NO Gimmees in the top league in English football. Thinking otherwise like ktf1950 et al does is just dumb. As is having a go at the manager after only 6 games. 3 of which our best player was sidelined due to his red card. Some so-called fans want instant success and when they don't get it they whine and throw a tantrum like a spoilt little brat. They are so mired in their misery they can't see the clear and evident improvements that are being made. There's no pleasing some people.

KTF is entitled to his opinion but unfortunately when it comes to glass half full or half empty I don't think he has had any fluid in his for years.
Tired of his having a go at Silva every post but then him saying he is our manager and supports him. Still, Silva will be comforted that he cheers at every game. Do you think he tells his mates alongside him how well we are playing or does he cheer then moan, cheer then moan?

Compared to last year when we capitulated to Arsenal without any fight we lost to an excellent finish and an obviously offside second goal. We were a match for them and had our share of good chances which, yes we didn't put them away, but were well crafted.

Never like seeing us lose but one day soon we are going to drub someone. There is a lot to like with this side and we will only get stronger as the season progresses. Compared to last year my glass is fuller, not empty

bw2412 v2.0 As you say entitled to my opinion as you and others are entitled to theirs. I and others along with that entitlement should also be respected. A very strange illness has descended on this great Country of ours of late and it is the illness of bigotry, the defined bigotry that states anyone that does have an opinion different to yours is A. Insulted and/ or B. Castigated for having that different opinion. I have had a very good life built on hard work, respecting others and expecting others to respect back. Please do not spoil it now.

I'm not sure where I insulted you KTF. Like you do all the time regarding Silva I gave my opinion regarding you.

I'm afraid I don't see much respect in your comments on Silva even though you are so gracious to cheer the team on each week

Therefore, if it makes you feel any better "hooray - come on KTF" Now I've cheered you on. No problems then?

I don't think bw2412 insulted you ktf. If anyone did I think that was me. There seems to be a hard-core group of you on here who just like to whine. A few things have stopped us winning all 6 games so far. Stupid mistakes and 3rd rate finishing when presented with opportunities are just 2 of those. Sort them out and get a settled defence and we have the makings of a very good team. Take the blinkers off and have a look. You might like what you see.

As opposed to the sycophants (you know who you are) and the start off optimists that turn by Christmas you mean BigH! As for the clever plagiarism of Winnie's comments, he also made many brilliant others: History written by the victor being one. Most of you turned against Koeman and Martinez (Silva incidentally is very similar to Martinez (Martinez had the better record) and I predict you will do the same with Silva. As for insults, I have never insulted any of our Managers, I have criticised the process of their hiring, (at least Martinez was hired on the basis of Wigan beating us 3 nil and winning the FA Cup - it is hard to see what process was used to hire Silva, it could not be on his Premiership CV or a hard Continental League) . After the first six games last season we had 7 points and that after one of our hardest opening games for seasons. What I am saying is 6 points after one of the easiest opening 6 games we have had is not good enough. It is not me that needs to remove the blinkers, I do wear contact Len's and occasionally spectacles but neither are rose tinted.

'Sycophants' 'start off optimists' Are these insults KTF Are you castigating anyone or are these just your opinions

'Mr Silva clearly does not have the pedigree in the Premiership to be Coach/ Manager of a Team with a plan and ambition, he will either yet again do a runner or pick up a hefty compensation package' Again not meant as an insult, just an opinion?

Can get the quote actually right but what was it about Moshiri taking the wrong advice and listening too much to Kenwright whose brain addled now?

Have your say KTF but try and make some of it constructive criticism. Whatever you think we have Silva as our manager, Moshiri isn't listening to you, or me, or anyone on this site, even Ed002 but tell us what you think Silva should do to make the team stronger, harder to beat and winning again, not that he's not up to it. At the moment I've seen Liverpool supporters on this site saying more positive things than you are currently

Of course you have a right to say what you want but, even you, can't be happy if you read what you are saying.

No idea who these so-called Sycophants are ktf but maybe, unlike you, they are just willing to give the Gaffer the benefit of the doubt for now. And if things haven't improved by Christmas I think people will be justified in withdrawing their support and/ or being a bit critical. But after 6 games? really? At the risk of repeating myself, in my humble opinion there are No Easy Games in this league.
