Hey guys is anyone else worried about our CM at the minute? With Gibbo out for at least a few mths, we are an injury or suspension to Barry/McCarthy from having Ossie or Heitinga starting in midfield. Or having to move Barkley back (when I think he is far more dangerous playing behind the striker).

More likely than not Ossie would play there, which if nothing else will mean that we would have to listen to everyone on here moaning about him (for a change!). This would perhaps make a nice change from all the Moyes nonsense, but would still be annoying all the same :)

I'm starting to think that any money we have should be used on either a CB or CM, but probably the latter as we have Heitinga, Stones and Duffy all waiting in the wings at the back. Can't think of too many realistic CM targets. Any suggestions? (realistic ones please not Yaya Toure and the likes)

A cb around 27 with pace who can move the ball is the priority i'm sure. I think martinez assessed what he needed well in august an expect him to do the same over the next two windows!

i also hear tom ince is a big target to be long term replacement for pienaar.
cm is probabley not a priority right now as on his day barkley would be outstandin in a flat 4-4-2 or deeper in a three.
I also agree we need a goalkeeper, howards mistakes are becoming more frequent, he doesn't dominate his box at all and let's at least 3 poor 25 + yard efforts in.
foster is the realistic option. unless kasper schmichael becomes more consistent in the next year

Fernando is the obvious one, Robbie has said he's following him very closely.

If he's going to play below par people are going to moan, you can't say your have been impressed this year sometimes you need to take your blue specs off and call a spade a spade

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not about wearing blue specs or not! Ossie's form has dipped no doubt and he is coming to the end of his time, but realistically and with our budget we can't afford to have much better on the bench and I still trust him to give his all for the team! I'm not going to boo him for that, he deserves more.

Having said that I would prefer him to have a supporting role rather than a lead one. So I def think we might need another CM player. I don't think a new goalkeeper is a priority right now! Would prefer a CM or even a striker given that Lukaku will almost certainly go back to Chelski.

DIAME please. I think he is a fantastic player, can play deep or further forward. RM knows him from their time at Wigan and doesn't he have a very low release clause?
Hank {Ed025's Note - if he did sign hank...we would get all the moaners on here saying "not another wigan player"..

Hey guys thanks for all the responses on the Moyes saga and the developing Baines saga. I will hopefully make this my last post on the two subjects.

1. Moyes: Yes he ran his contract down knowing there was a good chance he was going to Utd. We then got no compo. I would guess he could then negotiate a better deal with them because they had no compo to pay. To this end I ask each of you in your jobs. how many of you would (in a contract based job) tell your current employer that you were thinking of leaving on a certain date? It is funny that you all see it as Moyes stitching us.I see it as Moyes working out his contract, securing our league position and allowing us maximum time to get a replacement. If he had walked mid-season/half way through his contract, that would be different. I also read his comments the way I think he meant them. We are all emotional about low offers. We don't need to be, we just say, "f**k off the offer is too low.
2. Baines: I see a similar situation developing and I think he will go at Christmas. Although if Utd continue to struggle (which I don't think they will) that might put him off.
Great banter boys. that's what it is about.

How about moyes stirring it up by telling felli and baines to ask for transfers
as they were going nowhere at everton

It's not a valid comparison to say "would you do this in your own job?"

Moyes was our MANAGER for 10 years and did all he could to make everton a success - wheeling and dealing to get the most out of every million quid because he knew how skint the club are/were - then as soon as it suits him, with no loyalty at all he screws us over to help Man United save a couple of million that they hardly need when everton need every million - he dumped on us so we should dump on him back

He only think of himself and will screw everton if it suits his cause - I hope he bombs at Man United - as I expect him to because he doesn't know how to play exciting attacking football

Degsy pulford are u the same. Who thinks Barkley should play up front, your not doing yourself any favours, moyes is a tool end of story .if u like him so much get herself down to old Trafford .respect is a big thing, he lost it .he tried to endear himself to utd fans at evertons expense with stupid comments

Agree0 Disagree0

You keep writing the same questions and getting the same responses yet you persist in doing, Baines may leave in jan he may not harping on about it until then will achieve nothing
