Not an everton rumour, but why are spuds trying to sign signuson(??) when they've got no manager? If that's not a warning to moyes about who's really in charge their, I don't know what is! Blue Lee

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Yep, this is not an everton rumour... {Ed025's Note - but it is a warning to moyes...that levy runs the show, not the manager..

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Ed! I'm glad someone realised the point I was trying to make... Blue Lee

Agree0 Disagree0

Always baffles me when the powers that be buy and sell players. Why bother having a manager in the first place?! Anyone can say, 'Right lads, 4-4-2, score goals please.'
Surely part of the whole system for the manager is buying players that he thinks will work well with the team. Not having them lumped on him.

Wizard of Osman

Agree0 Disagree0

Ver thought it could be moyes choice or ever the next manager

Agree0 Disagree0

"Ver thought it could be moyes choice or ever the next manager"

Sorry mate. What does this mean? Am I missing something here? If so, I apologise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sometimes the managers are not the best at business style negotiations - some because they're just footy specialists and not astute player valuers - and some because they're dodgy and if left to their own devices might be tempted to buy or sell a player for more or less than he was worth as long as a secret brown envelope payment was made to them in a car park somewhere.
It must be awful tempting for some of these guys when the money is in millions to cream off 100k somewhere (or more!)

ed do you know when the home shirt is out i want one for my kids for the holidays cheers mate dan1 {Ed025's Note - sorry dan..i dont mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think it will be out or at least revealed before the 18th of July. It's possible that we'll wear the away kit in the first friendly (14th of July) so its likely the home kit will be worn by the second friendly (18th of July).

ToffeeTony {Ed025's Note - cheers tony..

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres a reason why most of the games are away until Hibbert's testimonial (August 8th) I have a slight idea that it'll be the first Saturday of August. HightownBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it will definitely be worn in the Indonesian Tournament we're in, which I think starts on the 26th of July.

moyes linked with free players, this is what we have to resort to now, we will sell our stars and get top money, im talking 10's and 10's of millions, and dodgy bill will end up spending it on a new extension for the empire theatre

Believable5 Unbelievable12

Do us a favour mate go back on your deluded kopite page and talk all your usual crap about who ye going to sign or are you that upset just because that sigurdsson lad has decided spurs are a bigger and better club than your deluded lot. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Can u imagine how upset the fans would be if bill sacked moyes and replaced him with brenda rodgers .its a scary thought .so u kop girls should start worrying because brenda is yours..ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Anything that so called evertonians dont believe or want to believe, they use the 'go away kopite, or go back to your own site'

why are we obsessed with Liverpool,

Agree0 Disagree0

Well "Go back to your own site" is a general terminology, therefore it could apply to any club supporter. However I do agree with you after all this is a rumour site, but never the less I think if the rumour is so abismal we as evertonians have a right to give it What For. With regards to this post however I see nothing wrong with it than a blue stating his opinion.

QatariBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems that the second somebody highlights a concern on here, we get the same 'kopite' s**t storm.

I suggested myself that we'd suffer hugely losing Felliani and Baines, and fall into 'bottom half obscurity' and people argued we'd still be top 7. Most probably blinded by their loyalty.
It's a club page and therefore all genuine aspects of conversation regarding Everton should be welcomed.

...or does everybody here just want to spend their time building castles in the sky about us signing players, they've probably seen play once (or just on championship manager) for 10/15 million pounds.

I, like many blues, am a realist. I value your concerns and fears equally beside your enthusiasm. Just disheartening to see people jumping on each others backs. I trust in Moyes and believe the spurs situation has somewhat forced bills hands and the purse strings will be loosened, however, very slightly. I hope for a solid, more consistent, campaign whilst inducting one or two new faces and progressing the younger players. Hopefully, the right investment is on the horizon. Coyb.

I've been hearing strong rumours that Moyes is set to bid for the Celtic left back Emilio Izaguirre as a replacement for the outgoing Leighton Baines who is now expected to complete a move to Manchester United.Any truth in this Ed or just more rumours?
Cheers,Joe EFC {Ed025's Note - at the moment joe..just rumours mate..

Not a rumour just an idea, why dont we go for Naismith,Whitaker,Davis and McGregor from Rangers all on a free. If they prove not good enough we could sell them on at a profit, possibly Rangers fans will head down to Goodison and become Evertonians,Rangers fans are fanatics and its a shame whats going on up there.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

We're Everton not Rangers!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why dont you take a look on Rangers Media, you'll see how popular Naismith and Whittaker are on there, fans unlikely to be following them anywhere

Depressed Gers fan

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant just sell players on that easy its not football manager 13 yeno!

Agree0 Disagree0

Also most of the players listed would probably not make us a profit, they would all want signing on fees and decent wages, probably looking 1.5 - 3 mill per player per year so if they we couldnt sell them within a year it will end up costing us as none of those could demand a fee of over 4 million anyway.

Jason mcatter is a member at my golf club (bromborough) he said that Adam Johnson would jump at the chance to signing for us. He is honestly a member at the golf club, doesn't mean we're going to sign the lad tho

So would I.......
Mjpjd
----------------------------------------------

I think he'd rather sign for Sunderland. All round a better team, better manager and they can actually beat Liverpool. Don't count your chickens koptie..

this liverpool fan just got owned!! think its funny how deluded the actually are!

is there any chance of us gettinh adam johnson in though ed? {Ed024's Note - Slim, pineaar and naismith and one more i think

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Would take johnson before both of them he would be class in a everton shirt. walk1878.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love to see him at everton! but would take pienaar and naismith! i am the original poster btw! sorry forgot to leave a name last time! and ed do you think naismith will be at everton before our first friendly? how close is the deal now? and pienaars deal as well? thanks for the help ed!

zacktheblue {Ed025's Note - green is threatening legal action if naismith goes zack, the legal eagles will have to sort it out mate..

England why oh why do we ever learn we knew the problems many years ago and if we did not then the last world cup should of spelt it out to us we cant keep trying to do the same thing players should not be in team for working hard Milner springs to mind we need players that are comfortable on the ball and we do have youngsters who have that in Wiltshire and Rodwell that should be who we build things around now, although Gerrard led by example I don't see hanging on to these players for experience reasons is necessary what experience the 30+ players have failed at this level so many times what can they offer to younger players I would like us to go with a brand new team of youth with a few players like Rooney who I would say is experianced footballer now let's do what Germany did and start this revolution now and I mean now the next friendly and qualifiers

Players out

Terry
Cole
Gerrard
Lampard
Milner
Barry

Players in

Sturbridge
Wiltshire
Rodwell
Barkley will burst onto scene this season
Gibbs
K.walker {Ed004's Note - Why build around Rodwell and Wilshere? There are a few other youngsters like Cleverley and McEachran. We don't know how they will develop}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Cole Gerrard an Terry all played ok in my opinion and if u was gonna replace Cole it wouldnt be with gibbs! Barkley? In the England squad? Some people are deluded.. Dont get me wrong the kid had amazing potential but if Moyes didnt feel that he was ready for first team football then how is he ready for international football? Rodwell yet to full break into the first team (injuries fair enough) so I disagree there. As ed said wat about people like cleverley? Im an evertonian an love our players but im not deluded

Agree0 Disagree0

As Wiltshire is class above cleverly by a mile he will be world class and if Rodwell can get a full season under is belt then he will suit international football the guy is so composed on the ball

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with this guy even If you think these youngsters are not ready yet that's why they should be moulded in now not when we get to the world cup Terry Gerrard and cole gave everything but simple fact is they are not good enough and they will be too old in brazil they can't go so we have 2 years to build a next generation England am to me Whiltshire Rodwell Gibbs cleverly A.Johnson how he is not in that squad provides better quality than young Walcott

Agree0 Disagree0

No,no,no - rodwell has just not shown anything yet other than good athleticism. We play attractive, progressive football without him. With him we become nervous, unadventurous and predictable - a bit like England. Where is the personality in his play?
Please prove me wrong this year Jack.
Nick O

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwell rarely does anything but simple sideways balls - there's nothing there

Agree0 Disagree0

Most of the Spain midfield do that simple 5 10 yard passes and there s**t aren't they its about retaining pocession

Agree0 Disagree0

Huge difference. Spanish players keep the ball properly because they constantly pass the ball and then move to a new position to accept the next pass - ALL British midfielders fail to do this bar Scholes and to a lesser degree Osman

Agree0 Disagree0

There is absolutely no difference, Busquets does the role of sitting and moving the ball through to Xavi or feeding the full backs with side ways passing, they then dictate the play he rarely gets forward i think thats the role the OP is seeing Rodders in?

Oh and Scholes movement has always been pedestrian at best, he very rarely looks to run into gaps between the lines never been his game and certainly isn't at his age.

Hey ed, is it true that we have some money to spend from the new TV deal? Also, I heard, from twitter (yes, I know, but the lad seems to know his Everton stuff) that we placed a bid for that Castaignos lad from Inter, apparently Moyes has been very keen on him since his Feyenoord days.

Cheers, ed. {Ed025's Note - most of the tv money is accounted for mate, having a shortfall of 5m per year, is taking its toll..

Having a debate with a newcastle fan on twitter who seems to think Newcastle are a bigger club than Everton and have more fans worldwide!!!!! He also said that none of our players would get in the Newcastle team! They really are deluded Newcastle fans! I'd even say there worse than Liverpool fans.
Quite shocked at his comments to be honest, only Newcastle fans think there massive. Fact is they have won nothing since the 50's

Really hope we are signing Pienaar soon, be great if we can get Pienaar and Naismith in before pre season starts.
Strange that Pienaar still hasn't changed his bio on twitter it still says Everton and National captain of South Africa
