"Kenwright admits that Martinez's top priority is keeping the club big-names"

Same crap different season. Have we no ambition to prioritise in a major signing

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Said in the press conference when Martinez came, that he wouldn't ask for champions league and then not back him. he wil only back him when he sells felliani. when are fans guna take him to task about what he actually says. the man makes me sick. said he felt raped by the blue union in 2011. no everton chairman should use terms like that concerning football matters. the blue union were wrong in there methods. but they are right about kenwright he's trips over himself time and again

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you want, keep Baines and Felli, or sell them just so we can sign a player such as Negredo?

If you have world class players, you need to keep them before anything else happens.

People like you don't deserve to be given the chance to feel Everton FC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish kenwright would stop going on about moyes all the time,. he done a good job under a piss poor board and won nothing. bill look at are history we've won things in the past. concentrate on backing roberto, every time u open your mouth shows me how why u shouldn't lead everton and why did u show your hillsborough speech at tonight's agm. granted good speech but in the context of a important agm don't understand it

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 21:36:07
Everton official website reporting that Kenwright has said we are in talks with 2 players can't see him saying that unless we are pretty far down the line in the negotiations as he's not Dave Whelan. Excited for who it is, hopefully Honda!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You do know he has a Ph. D in BS, right? He's obviously going to say something positive after the shambles of an EGM.

We should sell jelavic or anichebe, then buy a quality forward and a young quick one willing to improve! Not just because we have been linked with him but lenny nangis! He has proved quality at all stages and has broke into the first team.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jun 2013 21:05:03
After listening the agm meeting, it sounds like we are well and truly skint. No signings will be made until players are sold. With some money going to agents, wages, bank then money for transfer. Not feeling good IMO

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Negativity brigade are back again.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's reality mike! Everyone is entitled to express their opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not reality is it though. And even if it was, let's stop moaning about things we can't control. let's get behind the club and show that the best supporters in the world support Everton FC.

Im going to kick it off again Ed, just got to be done mate:

CSKA Sofia have withdrawn from Europa league, does that mean we have a chance lol

Degsy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ye that's what usually happens, a bulgarian team withdraws so they put an english team in

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you imply here degsy, do we have a chane at europa or honda?

I don't know what it is but I don't rate kone from wigan. how would everyone feel if we got him?

Andy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't mind him myself as I think he's quite decant and gave as no end of problems last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't want him. He's 29 and is likely to cost £6m, give or take a little.

All the talk is he scored 11 goals in his Premier League debut, but Jela scored 13 (I think) in less than half the time.

I'm confident Jela will score 11+ next season because I doubt RM will say "Because you're a striker, I want you playing on the wing. ".

Spend the money on a younger one, or give Tolis (Vellios) a chance, as well as promoting another few youngsters.

Kone isn't worth the Mone (y), if you get that.

Agree0 Disagree0

11+ u have high standards, was he playing down the wing when he first come or does moyes only ask inform strikers to do that

Agree0 Disagree0

Keith did you get drunk by the last two sentences, I mean wtf

Agree0 Disagree0

Release clause is 5m keith not 6m

Agree0 Disagree0

Jela scored 16 in half a season keith

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit different comparing goal tallies for strikers in teams that finish 6th vs 17th

Just a little point on wages. If we sign players in June we will be paying the wages for June. If we sign 5 players that could generate 200,000 p/w or 800,000 p/m in wages whilst they are on holiday.

By signing players in later august we could be saving 2.4 mil which could be another signing or fund a couple of free signings. We don't have a big budget so 2.4 mil could mean a big difference.

I'm a big fan of getting players in for preseason together but if we could squeeze another couple of players I'd be willing to wait.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

But what if that means we miss out on our main targets? I would rather us sign 3 players that RM really wants, as appossed to 4/5 that were second choices. Blue Lee

Agree0 Disagree0

If he got his main targets first, then any others which we could get cheap then add later on

Agree0 Disagree0

No matter when we sign a player, it can be in the contract that we start paying them on a set date, we could sign someone 2moro and state they don't get a wage from the 1st august

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 17:27:57
When are everton ever going to push the boat out and eventually sign a decent striker, sick of waiting in hope, we always rely on our midfielders and defenders for goals
Beck ford Johnston beatie a never ending list of medium strikers, for gods sake we got half a decent team at moment just need some fire power

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's all well and good moaning about this point but you seem to forget that we do not have the financial firepower we all long for, so therefor we have to work to our strengths, after all it is a team game and everyone has to chip in

Agree0 Disagree0

Agm tonight full of might be, s or maybe or in the pipeline. meaning were in the same position as we were 5 years ago. the same old speil

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing wrong with the fire power, maybe it was just the demands put on them from the previous manager.

As much as I would love to see more attacking flare at Goodison, I just hope that we don't lose sight of what Moyes had built up on the defensive side of our game.

TT

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelly, the yak, andy jonnson, all good goal records, till they joined us, wonder what could explain this, dm.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kenwright on buying players Liverpool have sold Carroll so there spending money, in other words were waiting to sell before we do business. remember the words I wouldn't ask Martinez for champions league and not back him. the man is a rubbish artist. look at the agm tonight more spiel about a possible stadium site. progress made were getting CCTV. Robert earl was haven a Scran with roberto last nite. meaning what. useless people

Agree0 Disagree0

Poeple who don't think we need a striker are deluded, we desrtoyed teams last season and struggled to win any game by more than 1 all season, if we had a decent striker last year instead of expecting felli to win matches it would of mad a difference, I got bored of waiting all season for jelavic to hit form

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford wasn't bad, 10 in his first season, should of kept hold of him for atleast another season

In Southport now and just saw Alex Song walking down Chapel Street. Now I know he has family in Liverpool and is very close to Rigobert and his family (who live in Liverpool) but he has been linked with a move back to PL and has had a bust up with Pique who I can't see them selling. Also can't get into the Barca side, maybe a loan move perhaps? Or s**** might be interested. Take it with a pinch of salt though, could have just came over to see his family.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jun 2013 19:22:53
*clears throat* so what your saying is we are after alex song? Doubt it going to be on over 100k at barca and his attitude stinks plus never rated him as a player tbh does two good passes to van persie against us and liverpool and he is the best defensive mid in the world according to arsenal fans he has a decent range of passing at best but does stupid things on the ball and cannot defend reads the game poor defensivly and would not offer us anything plus he is insultingly lazy i'd rather have bassong than alex song

Agree0 Disagree0

Alex Song ''wouldn't offer us anything" -

Are you sure about this one mate?

He was top notch at arsenal, hence the best team in the world at the time paying big money for him!

Suppose you're one of these fellas who cling to the hope that Osman and Neville in cm would have lead us to the champions league! It's fine to understand we'd never be able to entice such a player but don't talk rubbish about players who could waltz into any team in the league saying "I wouldn't want him anyway", c'mon geez!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 23:39:58
Yes best team in the world bought him for cheap and didn't use him and waltz into any team in the league? No offense but i'd rather have toure, sandro, dembele, wilshere and fellaini before alex song anyday he lumps the ball in the box twice for rvp and arsenal fans go 'wow best defensive midfielder in the world' can't defend, has no pace, no shot, average passing, dozy on the ball, attempts stupid things, overweight, lazy and his attitude stinks

Agree0 Disagree0

Alex song in southport? BS

It will come down to wages who gets Honda. I think Ac. milan are being investigated for tax dodging I hope they are distracted by this and we creep in and nab him but if it goes to a shoot out I have a bad feeling they will land him and money will be the decider after all we all know what agents are like Greedy ****ers.

Bruno manga is a must sign he's a baba distin, Honda for creativity an a goal throat from outside the box. Would live fer for box to box energy. Then a young pacey attacking winger/striker. Are team will be done stephblue

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jun 2013 14:02:54
This is the little bit I know. Bill has made around £10m available now. Martinez has identified the forward type area this needs investing in! At the moment he would like Kone and Honda if he can get the two for 10m! Then Bill will make about 3/4 of all funds raised from sales available spend. If Fellaini and Heitinga go which is likely Roberts will get about 20m to spend. Out of this he will need a central midfielder as that is what he treats Fellaini as and a centre back! And with the rest he wants another striker as he wants plenty of competition!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

True point but can't see it happening been waiting for a decent striker since Gary liniker

Who'd be happy with the following scenario.

Fellaini out for 25 mill

Fer, Honda and a decent striker (Bony, Remy, Negredo, or Soldado) in for a combined fee of around 25 mill.

Alcatraz and Turnbull in on frees.

Florent Malouda is a free agent next week, 32 but a shout on a one year deal?

I would like to be in kenwright shoes tonight at the shareholders meeting

Believable0 Unbelievable0

26 Jun 2013 08:24:18
Misery Guts Back again. as some people want to slander me!

Ill be in in PHILHARMONIC back bar tonight. just by the resteraunt entrance. about 5pm. Wearing a EVERTON 4 EVER shirt. If anyone wants to discuss my/their points.

Anyhow, for the first time we have FORCED this board to have this meeting since 2008, that alone is a disgrace, and why did Bill stop it?, because the MAJORITY wanted answers to the finances. so we have petitioned 7% of the shareholders, and finally we have arrived today.

We will see how obtuse and contrite our chairman is tonight, well over a thousand are expected.
I'll update ASAP with what came out.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Should be intersting Biffy.

keep us posted

COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

And remember don, t take it all out on Bill if I was there I would be letting rip at the greedy rich s****s that sit on our board.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like to see them answer the following :- 'You bought the club for around £22m 15 years ago when the balance sheet was £20m+ in the red, now you want c. £120m with debts around £50m and rising. What justification is there to ask for £120m?'
Seriously, if Bill wasn't an Evertonian he would've been run out of town years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

BK will probably point out that the club wasn't worth £22mil 15 years ago but it is easily worth the £120mil you mention now.

He'd also point out we had an old squad that you wouldn't get 20p for when he took over but now we have players on buy out clauses of £24mil.

Again he'd point out that instead of finishing 4th from bottom when he took over we now finish 6th in the league and have been regular visitors to Wembley over the past few years.

He might even point out that you lot don't know what you are talking about and shut the hell up and back the bloody team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said blue johns

Agree0 Disagree0

If it's EASILY worth £120m why hasn't anyone purchased the club? He MIGHT suggest I don't know what I'm talking about but I'd suggest HE doesn't know what he's talking about.
At the EGM there was some shocking avoidance and meaningless blubber and plenty of 'Yes, we're looking into that, and TALKING to everyone about nothing. BUT - they are doing stuff with the toilets and CCTV. '
So John I suggest it it you who knows sweet FA.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see you're a gullible, sycophant BlueJohnUns who hasn't a clue. You swallow all the lies you've been fed for years and will still come back for more. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, yet he's fooled you countless times and you lap it up like a clapping seal. But then, that's up to you but I won't be fooled again my the master conman. Once was enough for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Give me facts. I've given you mine. If you've got evidence that dispels anything I've put then show me it.

No one has purchased the club because of the stadium. Plus you show me one good club sale and I'll show you 10 bad ones.

Nameless number one, why would I think you know what you're talking about? Do you own or run a club. For that matter do you own or run your underpants because you sound like you're talking out of your ar*e to me.

Nameless number two, what has he fooled me over? What lies? I take the club on face value and listen to the experts. The ones who are in the industry. The ones who have sold clubs. All have said the same - Great club but a big outlay for a stadium is holding the club back in investment and sale. As you're neither I believe you are the fool that looks at the negative and instead listens to those fools that think they know it all.

Thank god you don't own the club or we would be down playing Portsmouth.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 08:19:11
let's be honest, some people come up with some garbage with signings which are going to make. we don't have the funds to sign top quality players so I doubt any major players will be joining the blues.

our line up next season.

howard
coleman jags distin baines
mirallas osman fer pienaar
honda
jelavic/anichebe

Pat ex Anichebe for Kone just not good enough and winges too much on the pitch for me.

Ed any news on Cahill, he wants a loan preferably back to England in the MLS off-season to keep him fit for 2014 world cup. {Ed025's Note - i dont think he would improve us wazz..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And as far as I know he still has a 3 game ban to serve first if he were to play in England again.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 08:37:52
Hang on a minute ed so you won't have cahill as a squad player just another body but you would have anichebe? {Ed025's Note - that ship has sailed skittle mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2013 14:14:52
Ed why was my post about anichebe not posted? I respect your opinion but you cannot honestly tell me you think anichebe is a better player than cahill? {Ed025's Note - i was not on earlier skittle, but tim coming back would not be a good move IMO..

Agree0 Disagree0

So if he came back he would not play for 3 games for his ban then sit on the bench for 5-6 more! why bother bringing him back?

Press reports tonight saying 'kone' wants a reunion with Martinez & will only consider joining everton if he is to leave Wigan. On a set transfer budget We have to spend our money wisely & personally I reckon 'Wilfred bony' is far better value at 12-14 million. Although on a funny note, we could buy both & have "bony" & "kone" together up front next season, it certainly rhymes anyway.
I think that as we probably can't afford 'negrado' & the fact he only wants to join a champions league team, I think we should now concentrate on signing 'manga', 'Honda', 'fer', 'mcmanaman', & 'bony' & bring some of the youngsters through next season. What does everybody else think?
