dejavu again, cant remember the last time we were still in the carling cup and in the top half of the league by the end of october, this slow start every year costs us millions in league prize and european money, we need to get back into europe a s a p.

Contact ryanair , they are doing great deals

Mucha needs a smack in the mouth two howlers Howard would have meant cup progress. gutted Drenthe banned has topped it off. flog mucha I will drop him off gladly.

Agree3 Disagree1

Get rid of the sebrian ***** and give hahnemann a long term contract !

Agree3 Disagree0

Mucha has blown it now - the last few times he has played he's been dodgy on one or two goals - but Moyes had to keep him on board by playing him in cups etc - no point keeping a keeper who costs you a goal every game

Absolutely fuming! We should of put that game to bed before extra time! All over them but cant bloody score! Now we have to play utd early kickoff on saturday after 120 minutes tonight and out of the cup! No drenthe either! Very pissed off right now! On the plus side saha was class tonight!

The lads played well albeit against a weakened Chelsea side.Fellani and Distan were outstanding.Once Drenthe was sent off we appeared to be under instructions to defend and take our chances with penalties until the inevitable happened and then we had to have a go at them.Poor first half with an improved game for the second period and extra time. However we should have won it so like every other bluenose totally gutted.

^^^i think you need to move with the times my friend. completely understand what you're saying but if you have a good look, theres a big correlation between money and success. Of course people should have their different opinion about how they would run the team (if they actually had a clue and were the manager of a premier league team) but supporters are supporters for a reason - to support the club. and quite frankly and impressed with what moyes has done AND what he will do. We have a younger bunch coming through now and one they gain the experience, even without the money, we will have a good squad. {Ed025's Note - the problem with that my friend, is that unless things improve dramatically, these fine youngsters you acclaim, may well be plying their trade in the championship!....we need to improve, not just the team but the relationship with the supporters, i have never heard blues fans being so negative!, its up to moyes to improve these issues...a smile and a bit more positivity would be a start..

What does everyone think of Nathan Redmond for Birmingham?
Would he be a good signing? He seems like a good winger and is supposed to be pretty fast. Him on the right Drenthe on the left with Coleman supporting at right back and Baines supporting at left back. Plenty of pace there.
What you think of that idea plus he wouldn't cost anywhere near 10 million so would be within our price range.

It's a shame Fellaini looks like he's going in the forseeable future, since a midfield three of him, Rodwell and Barkley would've been lovely to watch for a decade or so.

What makes you so sure he's going?? I would have thought that with him being close to signing a new contract would be indication that he wants to stay. I wish some people would stop believing all the rubbish that others put on these type of sites. At the end of the day the only people who know what's going on at our great club are the people behind the scenes and the manager. Let them get on with their jobs and I'm sure everything will be alright. At the end of the day we're in a better position now than we were at this time last year. BE HAPPY!!!

Fellaini should have been sold in the summer and barton brought in - fellaini's obviously going to try and do a pienaar on us - and he's too slow anyway

Vellios is not capable of being a lone forward in a 4-5-1 formation. I think he will be fine as a poacher with the right strike partner.

Lets give Ross a game. Lets play a dangerous team, We have bonked out of the league cup too many times to really get too upset. Play an attacking team, if we outscore chelsea that confidence right there.

The defence need to concentrate on their own game, no clean sheets since last time we played chelsea.

Give Johnny a game too!

Agree mate, i know what Moyes is doing with Barkley is right, the lad was out for a year and needs reserve games to learn his way before being a first team regular but a cup game against a chelsea side who are going to play an inexperienced side, barkley has to start with the likes of Gueye and maybe Straqualersui or Vellios partnering Saha.
This cup might not mean much to maybe chelsea but us fans would love to see the blues lift a trophy and the league cup i think we should take more seriously than the FA cup because we have more chance of winning it

Howard
Neville Jagielka Distin Baines

Gueye Barkley Fellaini Drenthe

Saha
Vellios/Straqualersui
