Fulham have a couple of decent attacking options in Pog, Dempsey, Ruiz and Dembele, but really, their team is pretty sh*te. Jelavic will reak havoc.

The Mail again reporting that Moyes is desperate to sign Dempsey and it also says that we are going to sign Diame from Wigan havent seen much of him is he any good ed my mate whos a wigan fan says he doesnt even start for them? {Ed025's Note - hes a good strong athletic player mate, only 25, and would allow felli to play more forward..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Diame would be great, a young powerful midfielder on a free, not bad eh. {Ed003's Note - He seems to have been at a few clubs for such a young lad he should finally decide where ever I lay my hat that's my home }

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes my mate said the same, said he doesn't even get a game for Wigan?
Is he worth it ed? {Ed024's Note - I have heard good reports about him, young, powerful, hard working and needs a change of club. Not much risk on a free, moyes will bring out the best in him

Don't buy Hennessey or Kuyt. Wouldn't mind Fletcher. We can't sell Baines, he's to good, don't think Sir Alex would sell Evans anyway.

Dempsey has a goal ratio 1 in every 3 games! Not bad for a midfield man. Get him in Moyes.

Does anyone know if George Green has played for the reserves yet and if so how did he get in?

Also is he likely to be named in the prem squad for next season? {Ed025's Note - no he has not played for the reserves mate...he wont be named in the senior squad next year, as he is only a kid, a very talented one, but not yet up to the rigours of premiership football..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's played a few times for u18's but thats it, He will be 16 next year though so if he earns it who knows, just look at the likes of rooney, rodwell, Vaughan ect. although I highly doubt he will be we will see

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a strong feeling of let kids be kids at everton, read somthing a whole ago saying other clubs didn't let there young ones pay other sports due to risk of injury but everton encourage it (as far as I've been made aware) they also back you if you want to further educate yourself, green could yet want to carry on studying for anther year or two, we've not seen him yet as I believe his still at school, he tweeted somthing about exams abit back, I would think he will head stright to the reserves in no time tho

This sigurdarson kid we are linked with would be a good fit and should physically adapt well because he is pacey and
Is also strong too

Believable1 Unbelievable0

His club have put a 10 million price tag on him, so unlikely we could afford him mate {Ed025's Note - unlikely is an understatement!!..

Now that the season is drawing to a close we need to start making plans. Firstly the outs Strach - not worth the asking price & for all his spirit he is not a striker. Anichebe - Not a Prem or Everton player. Cahill - Great at his peak but for the last year has not been worth the risk, when he plays the team looks disjointed. INS - Need a keeper who can put Howard under pressure - We need to re-sign Pienaar - We need someone with pace out on the right {Coleman has not been the same this year} - We also need another striker to support The Jellyman. We need to keep Felli - Baines - Dist - Jags and Heit. {Ed024's Note - Good summary mate, i still think coleman can come good.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I think coleman will come good, maybe as a right back though, how anyone can say sell tim cahill is beyond me, he's been good since jellyfish has come in; I do think he will be starting from the bench abit more though.
we definently need another winger though!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cahill is almost iconic as big dunc. We should never sell him, just use him from the bench next season which i think Moyes knows.
Imagine being 1 nil up against a team like City, United etc and then last 10 minutes Cahill coming on! Opposition players hate playing against him he bugs players gets in there faces winds them up.
He's a legend, deserves to finish at Everton and play a bit part from the bench, a bit like Big Dunc in his last 2 seasons {Ed025's Note - i agree mate

If that story about Pranjic arriving in the summer is true it'd be welcome news. We've been lucky that Baines is such a good athlete and hasn't been out too much. We've gotten away with the LB situation, but it needs strengthening.

Hi Ed

I've been away and offline in the
sticks but the lads in work are
saying Drenthe has gone.

Sent back to Real Madrid for missing
2 training sessions in the run up to
the semi final.

If that's the case then fair do's, I
liked him but hey if he can't turn up
then it's goodbye; he hasn't got the
club in his bones.

So has he gone or just dropped?

Big C {Ed025's Note - not gone yet big c...but its on the cards mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cheers ed what a shame though cos he was a freebie at the end of the season. Oh well better things around the corner eh Donavon, Dempsey and peanuts will do for me this summer

Very strong squad with only dempsey to get used to us. I would as the saying goes be "well happy"

Big C

Agree0 Disagree0

Pranjic would be a better player than drenthe, has he has quality but also the versatility to play in 3 positions and dempsey and holiett who we have also been linked with are better players than drenthe

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

It was the free part that made him a good option Bez, but some people aren't worth the disruption even if they are free.

No doubt Moysie will work wonders again

COYB IMWT

Big C {Ed025's Note - royston shot himself in the foot big c...he does not suffer fools gladly, and i applaud him for that..

The only way everton can get in to europe this sea on is if we win our last 4 games which will leave us on 60pts and Tottemham lose there last 4 games they would be on 59pts, they have a better goal difference than us so we cant even afford them to draw one, clutching at straws but you never know

Mike {Ed024's Note - Lets concentrate on finishing above liverpool and come out of the traps faster next season

Tough game at the weekend but winnable! Fulham haven't beaten us at home for years!my team for saturday.
Howard
Hibbo heitenga jags distin (if baines is injured)
Osman cahill Gibson pienaar
Fellani
Jelavic

Last week jelly and felli tore utds defence apart so keep that going! Also I think cahill is a lot more effective in the middle and joining the attack with his late runs into the box! {Ed024's Note - i think we will win tomorrow

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good team, but Moyes will probably go with Neville. You're right, it will be a tough game. Can't allow them any space near the edge of the box or they will shoot all day long. They have pleanty of players that love a long ranger. I hope he doesn't, but I reckon Moyes might drop Fellaini back to his usual position to help close down their midfield. I personally, would be happy if he played the same team that played United. It worked so why change it?

Wizard of Osman {Ed024's Note - It should be a good match between 2 in forms sides, i think we will edge it

3 Early signings in summer:
Pranjic
Diame
Rodallega

Not a penny spent and gives us great options and depth.

Sell Jags before we abroad for our pre season and then buy Pienaar & Dempsey

Perfect window for me and maybe a cheeky loan that no one is expecting

Believable4 Unbelievable1

That would be an absolutely brilliant summer for me, and if this does happen (most likely not though) then I would have a bit of hope for challenging the top 4 the upcoming season, although right back would still be a problem, but i think we could cope and have a very good season.

Fingers crossed mate {Ed024's Note - Agree, moyes is so good at wheeling and dealing

Agree0 Disagree0

Why sell jags?? hes one of the best center backs in england on his day, just stupid doing me head in now everyone sayin sell jags {Ed024's Note - I don't think moyes would sell jags, moyes thinks he is top class and he is isn't wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone loves Jags, top football player and top attitude, but he will be 30 very very soon, and in all honesty, is behind Heitinga and Distin currently, and will most likely be for next season

For a club like Everton given our finances, just doesn't make sense to have a 30yr old on the bench who is worth around 10mil and that valuation will decrease each year. You could say the same about Rodwell currently of course though he is still young)

Agree0 Disagree0

What about the 1st suspension or injury. We will have both at the same time knowing our luck. Then what? {Ed024's Note - I agree, duffy is not ready to be a starter at the moment and we do have bad luck with injuries and suspensions, saying that if someone came in and offered us 15 mill-20 mill, we would consider it

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Apr 2012 09:40:46
Was there any major targets we missed out on in Jan that we will go back for in summer? {Ed024's Note - Pranjic springs to mind and moyes might consider doyle or jarvis from wolves

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If im being totally honest i don't want Jarvis or Doyle at Everton not because there bad players i just feel they would cost around the 5m mark and i think we can get better players for that, thats just my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh, I think Dempsey would be a similar price with Doyle, and would much rather Dempsey.

As for Jarvis, if we get a bargain, then I would be confident he would succeed, to me he seems to be a Moyes type play, he was absolutely brilliant the season before this one, and has struggled in a really poor Wolves team in his defence.

Would finally solve our right wing problem, aside from Donovan, never really had a proper right winger. {Ed024's Note - Jarvis needs a move, he would flourish at everton

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a left winger, but right-footed

mohammed diame on a free not too bad for the summers 1st signing {Ed024's Note - A decent, powerful midfielder, would be a good addition for us

Believable0 Unbelievable1

His power and driving force in midfield reminds me slightly of yaya toure

Ste EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Would take him in an instant mate

degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a brilliant addition to the squad. Not to mention, the lad is still relatively young nd can develop into a very good player, as people have said, he is one powerful player with an absolutely brutal shot on him {Ed024's Note - Lets get him before someone else does

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellaini behind the striker is class {Ed024's Note - It has potential, but we could sign someone like dempsey to do that role and let fellaini play next to gibbo, where he looks at his best

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have to agree with Ed, although he was very good as an attacking mid, he is far more valuable to us as a defensive mid, as you saw not he weekend, our midfield and defence was carved open by United. Fellaini really gives us a shield in front of the back 4, something Gibson and Neville struggle to do.

Anyway, I would like to see a Dempsey, and hopefully Barkley in that role next season {Ed024's Note - Its just nice to see we have options all over the pitch for a change
