Whisper it, but the omens are looking good. We haven't been beaten with Gibbo in the side, we've won our last 6 fa cup semis and I think we've knocked the RS out of the cup the last two times we've met them. {Ed025's Note - gibbo was immense tonight...but to be fair , so was all the guys..

What position was Osman playing?! He had a sort of free role- well played Moyes very good tactically and entertaining to watch.

Sunderland fan here, well done Everton, you deserved it, we were terrible, you wanted it more, now please do us a favour and beat liverpool, get your european spot and hopefully the geordies will not finish ahead of chelsea so they miss out on europe because of swansea getting a europe spot for fair play

Jc here

Does anyone agree when Darren gibson hasn't played we have struggled a bit, I think he gives fellani a
Lot more time and space to play. I hink that team will kill Liverpool and push us above them in the league COYB

well played blue boys!

the team had a good balance about it - excellent from Gueye and Jelavic amongst others :)

the boys thoroughly deserved it - we out played them on their turf - we look like a decent team when we press the opposition and don't back off!

get it in there!

What an outstanding performance tonight. From 1 to 11 we were awesome. Sunderland did not have an answer. Thinking back to how I felt about the derby disappointment this goes a long way. Just need to win the semi to really make me forget.

It looks as though Drenthe won't be playing - he's been given time off for "personal reasons". If this is the case, I expect to see either Neville or Heitinga in midfield, with Jagielka coming in at the back.

I think midfield will be critical tonight so I wouldn't be surprised to see it packed with Osman, Heitinga, Gibson, Fellaini - Heitinga holding, giving more freedom to the others. Whoever plays, we have got to close down their left flank - that's where most of the danger came from at Goodison.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with all that bar one mate. I'd personally have Neville in there tonight. Just brings a certain mentality! Of course we aren't sure about Royston either. If he isn't there probs Osman on the left and Seamus on the right.

Can't wait!

Good morning 001, Truthfully Ed who do you want to play at Wembley, I will accept both a head and heart answer

Degsy {Ed001's Note - head and heart both say Everton, nothing beats a derby match! They are always even more special in the cup, it adds something because it is a one off.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would love for Moysie to have Ross on the bench so that come the last few minutes he can pop up with the winner with his fresh legs just like Gosling the last time we met in the cup. Although I missed it live because ITV HD is cr*p like that. COYB

did any one else notice how good a job cahill done against arsenal, when he dropped back and did a defensive midfield job, maybe there's life left in the old dog yet
