Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.
27 May 2013 21:46:10
I can guarantee that the next Everton manager will be whoever the board appoint. What I also know is whoever it is there will be many disappointed fans based on intense speculation. Operative word is speculation. It amazes me that there are so many inside sources and yet apart from Martinez the so called press have nothing much to report other than several current inside candidates. This tells me that the club are keeping it under wraps which is exactly what they should be doing.
So who should it be? Current back room staff who would probably continue on the current course and cost nothing. A relegated manager whose current team play some attractive football and made us look poor and went on to win elusive silverware like Laudrup also did. I like Laudrup but post silverware his record is very poor. Is this really what we want? Then there is the thorny issue of compensation and should we blow a chunk of transfer kitty this way. Neither are above doubt. Lastly the exotic name option. I don't know anything about VP other than he follows the Special one and AVB from Portugal. He has done very well in Portugal and if he stays he will play Champions League next year so I wonder what we can tempt him with?
Forrest Gump has just called me and told me the recruitment for the new Everton manager is like a box of chocolates. You never know what your going to get! {Ed025's Note - good post that mate...just short of a name..

No its not, you get a little insert thing that tells you what each shaped chocolate is and even if you don't have the benefit of that sometimes the shapes are a clue for example a little strawberry strangely enough results in a strawberry flavoured chocolate as you'd expect. So really its not that hard to know what you're going to get. {Ed025's Note - not a bad reply that mate..

The values of the new contract presented to the technician as well as the duration thereof are at this point matching between the two sides. Is not there a possible separation of paths can occur. These matters, underscore are peaceful.
FC Porto intends to continue the reign of coach Vítor Pereira and is proud with this expression of confidence.

Do you think that this site gets so much traffic that me stating the day before it was in the papers that a non domestic manager had met the club and agreed a pre contract with us that all of a sudden 24 hours later newspapers in Portugal, Brazil and England ran the same story. Everyone bangs on about MY ego, Jesus wept I don't think for one second posting on a site I feel is full of true Evertonians would force international newspapers to post after me. I just got the same info as them from a major share holder who would be involved in this decision.
Many of you need to get a grip. I was quiet because I couldn't be assed responding to every negative post about me, but enough is enough, any one of you would put what I did up if the person that gave you the info was the person that gave it to me. I give up.
This week VP will choose Everton or Porto after that I will find out who else we are targeting but Lennon, Neville, Weir are not on the agenda neither big Dunc or Stubbs, Martinez is of interest but has not even been approached.

Or he be an in over his head debacle that leads to relegation. Either way we may never know until after a season or two of play. No matter who the coach is this with the same formula it will take time. How well is Neville appreciated by his teammates and would he make a good coach for the team for whom he has played? We simply should support whoever the management chooses to coach the team.

Lads, lads, lads (and girls)
You need to forget all this nonsense about Vitor Pereira, if anything that will be Kenwrights token effort for a top name manager getting the fans on side and making it look as though he has some ambition, we all know how these things play out when were trying to sign players, same applies for this manager situation, the question that we should all be asking is can Martinez attract and go out and buy at least one world class player that can turn a game and make the difference in the same way Bale can, Liverpool have one as do the rest of the teams above us, Fellaini is good but I don't believe he's world class, if Moyes wants to take him let him go but at least put that money to good use.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
It's really starting to annoy me the way fans are starting to turn everything on its head i. e. takeover rumours, transfer rumours and manager rumours. Whenever we're linked with a big name it's never "so we should, we're one of the biggest teams in the world" but always "it's just a ploy from Kenwright to get season ticket sales up and line his pockets". If that's what you think then you are seriously deluded, Bill is as blue as they come and I trust him to do the right things for my club. Sure he could be richer but I'm confident investment is heading our way. So basically, stop being persons and get behind Kenwright during this tough time we're experiencing.

Periera has the know how to work with youth players he is excellent at it he would just be perfect for the likes of Barkley and our younger players. I also read he demands respect from all players and won't take crap. He has a great work ethic and defensive know how I think he would be perfect for us and really push us on and I would say he would pick up a few bargain buys along the way. Our players would get a great lift if he was appointed the winning mentality would be pumped into them by him. Martinez is a lovely honest man and I have some respect for him but I just don't think he would get the best out of our squad and given the fact our players witnessed him been relegated now is not the right time for him at Everton so I just hope and pray Periera gets the call. I posted earlier. Look my information has not changed, we offered him a contract, he accepted the terms, went back to Porto, what has changed is that Porto have offered him a new contract that was not on the table when we spoke to him. He has to decide if he wants to manage in England or stay in Porto. For me if i'm being non bias Porto probably has more going for it than we do BUT if he wants a go in England then we are the only club offering him the chance.
Svenny
Agree0

Rubbish, so if he resigns for Porto your info looks good! I think you know nothing to be honest, like the statement you made that a chairman in the Swedish league gave you info on it! How does he know when well more than half of evertons own staff don't know! If he knew the media would know, or does BK just spurt out info to random chairmen in Sweden?
Agree0

He knew because he has enquired with his manager about two loan signings for a couple of Porto players, no decision could be made. Yes I know Moutinho and Rodriguez were sold but even if Jose was still in charge nobody turns down 7mill.
Seriously everyone is so aggressive, I have a very close connection to someone with a major shareholding stake in everton. Get over it. I am forwarding what I know. With the Periera rumours seemingly died a death now I don't know why we just don't cough up the 10 million Swansea would want in compensation for Laudrup.
Martinez is going to cost us 5 million in compensation to Wigan then we'll have to pay the man himself another hefty fee in compensation when we sack him at Christmas because we're in the bottom three.
If we just pay up the money Swansea want now it'll stop a lot of heart ache for all later in the year.

They'll do nothing about it as £££s have been pumped into it. Look at the official website at the amount of merchandise already available. We're stuck with it now and those with the power to change it will do nothing. Everybody MUST vote with their feet and buy ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Then and only then is the club likely to "listen to the fans" in the way that they claim to now. {Ed025's Note - i agree tone..
Agree0

I agree - buy nothing. I know it'll affect the club's income - no matter how small the club's commercial revenue actually is - but it'll show the depth of resentment amongst so many fans.
However, if you've got kids who beg you for a replica shirt or kit, what are you going to do?
Even trickier is the matchday programme - I'm in two minds about getting it if it shows the new badge.
By the way - to those who've already renewed their season ticket: does it show the new badge?
RhinoSoreAss

It doesn't matter if you buy anything or not, as the club won't even notice, we have a deal with kitbag they control all merchandise! The club gets x amount no matter what! That's one of the reasons our club is even more less attractive to potential buyers, they won't even have control of their own merchandise! Another reason are club is stuck, other teams sales have increased making them more money, we sold ours off cause we didn't have the intelligence in people and they couldn't be arsed to sort it out, so sold it off instead. Read about other teams income increasing through merchandising and it clearly covered evertons problem of stagnating in the area!

Believable0
Unbelievable0
Isn't the biggest cup competition in the world the World Cup?
Agree0

Because most blues see it as a backwards step, a manager who has seen his team relegated is not an attractive prospect for top players, we need someone who can take us a few places higher in the league at this moment in time, attractive managers attract quality players, simples!
PS. The FA cup is no longer the greatest cup competition to be in, it's been devalued for years, Champions League is the place to be.
Agree0
Disagree0
The FA Cup might be regarded as the biggest football cup competition in the world because it probably has the most entrants each year, is open to every FA-affiliated club in the country, and has probably been played for the more years than any other football cup in the world.
However, I agree that the FIFA World Cup is the "biggest" cup (using the term loosely) competition for countries and also think that the UEFA Champions League is the "biggest" cup competition (again using the term loosely) for clubs.

Hey Blues, in response to the new badge I decided to design what I'd like to see as our new kit with a better badge than the awful thing we've been handed. Please give it a look: www.biggertmedia. deviantart.com/#/art/Everton-Home-Kit-2013-14-373699036?_sid=19ebd9f7

Send it in to the club - it's so obviously miles better
did you see the video on the everton site about how the new badge process was conducted? - a load of people in a committee type process all putting their twopence in - making a mountain out of a molehill - getting paid loads to sit fannying about - and they produce that load of pants

Mirror reporting Moyes will bid 24 million - they talk rubbish but I'd take the 24 million anyday, reinvest and stop playing "hack to Felli, ignore Jelavic" football

Hey people! let's get behind Roberto as our manager. I would like to see how Moyes would have done at Wigan, and besides Roberto has won silverware. We need a soild manger to keep us in the top 6 as we will never seriously challenge the top 4. Also Roberto knows a bargain Ashley Williams, Angel Rangel, Valencia, Moses, Kone, Mcmanaman.

What a load of nonsense. "never seriously challenge the top 4". Do one

How would Moyes have done with Wigan? He would have taken them to the top half of the table. Sell your best players and sign bargains, is this not what Moyes has done. No we don't want Martinez otherwise we may get relegated next season.

I hope kenright doesn't listen to any supporters, I think he has a far better idea of running our beloved Everton than most of our supporters. Why don't we all back our board, our team, our players, our badge, our EVERTON like only we know how! We are EVERTON aren't we! let's support our team and do our job and let kenright do his job!

Are you Bill Kenright?
Agree0

Most of our supporters have the ambition that Bill seems to be lacking. I can understand waiting for contracts to expire to avoid compensation but most of the names people seem to think likely are not up to managing a top six side. We are no longer fighting for survival like when we got Moyes, just how lucky would we be if we got another championship manager who did the business.

Seems a great shame that we should be reduced to chasing a manager who's team we're relegated. If Martinez now does what he did to the other lot, and changes his mind, what does that say to the next man? Which is why I think it would then go in house. Couldn't see VP coming if he thought he was only second choice, don't think he's that type of man.

Morning guys. I believe that we will be a lot closer to finding out who our new manager is by the end of the day. Vp and rm are expected to give their respected clubs a decision on their futures today which I think will have a direct impact on us. Personally I hope we get vp.

The silence is annoying, but the older blues fans will remember the debacle that took place when we thought we had Bobby Robson 'in he bag' only for it to go tits up because word got out. I just feel the Peraira thing gone very quiet good thing or bad?!

to me the only way forward for our beloved club is to go bold for that brave new world and into the unknown where youth players will be assessed by the new manager and integrated at the right times along will some brave new signings to move our club along the path to a progressive attacking brand of football that make the crowds want to come back to goodison and be season ticket holders and also make the rest of the prem sit up and take notice and see that the school of science football that we played in the first six weeks of this esason just gone aws no flash in the pan we might have to drop back before we can move forward but for me better than standing still any day what saty you my fellow evertonians.

Just wondered with the clamour for Pereira, how many fans actually knew much about him, or his record before our need to appoint a new manager. Although I had heard the name, I really did not know much about him, but I must admit that on the face of it that he would appear to be a good fit. I would also have no complaints if Martinez was appointed. If we stay " in house " I would prefer Neville over Stubbs. I would of course give my full support to whoever gets the job and would urge every true Evertonian to do likewise.
With regard to the badge, I'm not offended by the badge itself, but I am by the ommision of NSNO. It feels like we have lost our identity.
