Milo give it a rest lad he would not get us relegated he coincided 21 goals last season he's solid at the back.

How do you know he would be a disaster? It would be a risk but it could go either way. I'd sooner have Frank in than go back to Moyes.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2016 04:45:06
Anyone could be a risk everyone is saying they want koeman and that anyone could win the Dutch league well that isn't true koeman couldn't and he had a better squad de boer looks a good young manager who will give youth players ago that's what we need not to be spending millions each season.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2016 08:24:29
Didn't Koeman win the Dutch league?

28 May 2016 08:38:27
Milomj, with a Director of Football (this is Mr Moshri's influence coming to the fore) in place this leaves the 'Manager' (for Manager read Head Coach) free to coach. Dare I say it, if Martinez/ Kenwright had got their heads out of the sand and given their ego's a spring clean, we would not now be in the position we are.

Ed's what are the chances of a sneaky approach to Simeone after the CL Final? Or is that asking too much!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - About zip.}

28 May 2016 03:22:45
Simeone would be a dream, rather have him than pep or jose. No chance whatsoever though unfortunately.

28 May 2016 07:37:52
Good entertainment but he would be 80 percent of the time in the stands or watching the game from his hotel room or in this Country in a jail cell (imagine what would happen if he got hold of the Ref by the throat) . Yeah and he got Beckham sent off.

Am I missing something? I read the Wanyama coming to Everton story and it says Everton boss Roberto Martinez is a fan. I don't think that is the most accurate reporting guys.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

27 May 2016 21:42:18
Everton have bid £20 million for Victor Wanyama app. It's been refused but we are expected to go back in a bigger offer in the next few days. not sure if it's true or not. I didn't think the transfer window was open yet but if their is any truth in it is this a sign that maybe Koeman is coming?

We need another defensive midfielder like we need more left backs.

Exactly NBITU. Can't see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2016 03:18:57
We need to strengthen up on the right wing before we go looking at left backs or defensive mids. Who needs left wingers and keepers?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2016 08:46:38
Both sides need strengthening if we are looking for an immediate impact next season, to give the youngsters (those that came in against Norwich) time to bed in.

Here is my thoughts on are next manager. i believe keoman will be are next manager, fdb will go to Southampton, I think it will be announce on Tuesday. my reasons I think it will happen are, keoman and fdb have the same agent, and le tissier was on a radios station show maybe 3 weeks ago and let slip about keoman leavin, then panicked and said, but they will be happy who they will replaced him with.

Believable0 Unbelievable8

27 May 2016 19:47:36

To be honest royal blue, I thought some else may of heard it and knew keoman and fdb have the same agent mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2016 21:25:06
i knew about the same agent i posted it a week ago what i am asking is why did you not mention the latissea radio interveiw and his alleged slip of the tongue when it happend.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2016 22:02:13
At the time koemans name wasn't mentioned as a possibility as being manager ( i don't think? ) . and I'm sure some else who is on here may of heard le tissier. it was on talk sport.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2016 00:33:10
They did have the same agent a week ago but I'm sure Koeman has split from him this week and found himself a new one.

Years ago Everton were renowned for doing there business behind closed doors not shouting about if and buts getting the job done then telling the fans and we did it well let's see what happens and a bit more positive.

{Ed002's Note - To whom?}

27 May 2016 22:39:49
To us the fans, we've got a bit of money behind us now. So let's get a manager in who can attract the bigger players. Someone who is passionate about EFC and wants to great things with us and not use as a stepping stone.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2016 18:23:22
To get away from the manager talk, how much can we realistically get for Lukaku? It looks inevitable he's going no matter who comes in but can we really expect £65m? Personally I can see £50m but over that I'm sure if we could actually get it. Its one thing talking about it but its an entirely different scenario to actually get the money. I'd obviously take £60-£65m if its going but at this stage I'm not sure if its achievable.

Stones? If he goes. Interestingly I read that if De Boer comes he could develop Stones. There is probably not a better person to do that for Stones. It may or may not convince to stay. If he goes can anyone again realistically see us getting over £40m for him? Again as with Lukaku if £50m was going I'd take it but will we get it?

I seen someone mention we'd surely get £100m for both. At the moment I don't think that's achievable. We won't know until clubs start bidding and hopefully start bidding against each other. Then the higher quotes might be achievable then.

I'd obviously want both to stay if possible as you could build a fantastic team around them for along time to come. It's hard to get quality players that are proven. If they do end up going I think anything over £90m would be a bonus. Unless as I said clubs start competing for their signature.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

27 May 2016 18:30:37
But the early worm gets eaten. I take your point though, dazza. Managers do a lot of their job in public and their record of achievement is public. We should have had a good idea who we wanted - say 3-4 candidates - even before Bobby was sacked.

Gosh waiting for our new manager is driving me crazy so many rumours pellegrini moyes favre my choice would be de boer can't believe we haven't contacted him yet why do we take so long to sort things out just drags on for weeks sort it out bill.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

27 May 2016 16:46:41
Is it because our new manager is in a job now and there season isn't over yet! Maybe got a cup final in Spain to play! Interesting thought hey?

Soli

That has been my hope tbh and I don't think RK stands a chance for the gunners job in 18 months time, because they will by then, be up against it with what's happening in London alone nevermind Manchester i. e. look at the managerial heavyweights in the PL right now and think what the next 2 years will be like .

No AFC will need to make a massive statement in this department unless Saints win the PL in the meantime of
course and we all know its at least possible!

I was walking through disney land yesterday. In my Everton top. It was amazing how many Americans stoped me to ask about our next manager. We must have a big following here in USA. What lovely people. I think I'll wear my away kit today.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - have a great time clubber...just dont bring any goalkeepers back with you mate.. :)

27 May 2016 12:51:26
I had a similar experience in Toronto a few years ago mate, particularly at the Blue Jays stadium.
People tend to forget just how well known and how big a global brand Everton actually are.
Have a great holiday.

27 May 2016 13:19:38
Maybe Clubber can bring back Brad Guzan.

There is a following. It is too easy to grab a ManU jersey off the rack in a sports store, or say "hey a cannon looks really cool" for Arsenal, or have been brainwashed by that cable show 4 years back "Being Liverpool".

Authentic club. Authentic fans. Great to be an Evertonian.

Now somebody go out and get us a manager.

. just putting some thoughts out there guys. I was thinking about Leicester and how awesome they were last season and in particular the management of Ranieri and started to think about the suitability of experienced Italian managers in the Premier league. I mean 1 thing you notice about Ranieris team is how well organized defensively they were, how tactically astute he is, the team spirit and bond they had and playing the right players in the correct positions etc. & I'm just going to put a couple of management names out there that maybe have yet to be mentioned - Marcello Lippi who I believe has won the World Cup and Fabio Capello who does appear to have an excellent record in management at club level and a certain pedigree and certainly would kick a few butts in our current squad. just a few thoughts as I said, I'd be interested to hear what you all think and if there are any other names you could suggest?

Believable4 Unbelievable2

27 May 2016 09:05:17
Unless the club have already decided on their new manager and keeping it to them self until the time to announce it, then the choice could be more by elimination than by selection.
By selection, draw up a list, interview, discuss etc then appoint. By elimination, draw up a list and offer to the one left after others have withdrawn their interest, decided to stay where they are etc.

New manager needed at earliest to sort out the Lukaku and Stones situation and identify new players before other clubs sign likely targets.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

27 May 2016 11:21:50
Totally agree. get it done. We need to get players before they are all gone. We will have a big shopping list.

Agree2 Disagree0

27 May 2016 11:49:46
The way Everton appear to want to go does not require a Manager to 'sort out' Lukaku and Stones situation. First of all a DOF will probably all ready have been identified and secondly Mr Moshri will be the one to decide whether Lukaku or/ and Stones can leave the Club and only then if it makes good business sense.

I can't help but feel the FDB is the best candidate for me. He seems really pushy and is using his agent and brother to get his voice out there.

More than anything though he genuinely wants the job and sounds like he has a belly full of fire for it.

No mention of "if they come to me with something exciting" like Moyes. He sounds like he wants to bring the excitement himself.

I really want this guy at our club.

I'd prefer Emery but as Blue said, you post makes sense.

Managers: Koeman - if he does not sign with Southampton will need (as reported) a huge wage offer but then when Arsenal come calling he will be off quicker than the stuff off a shovel. Pellegrini - age could be against him especially if Everton are looking for longevity. Leaves us FDB - Looks good but why is he pushing so hard (via his brother) ?

'' Leaves us FDB - Looks good but why is he pushing so hard (via his brother) ? ''

Your'e reading my mind mate, RDB is like 'Lukaku snr' only a positive version?

It's as though he's doing a hard sell on his twin's behalf!

Me? I'm flattered and slightly perplexed!

Agree2 Disagree0

27 May 2016 09:09:05
I'm just thinking out loud here but maybe he really wants the job and that's why he's trying so hard?

Better than us having no interest from possible managers.

27 May 2016 09:42:54
I'm not sure if I'm barking up the wrong tree but Johny Heitinga is a friend of FDB, maybe he has told him what a great club Everton is.
There's probably a few reasons but this could be one.
Lets face it, most who walk into Goodison fall in love, there's just something about Everton that you can't help but feel.
