Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

27 Nov 2017 21:57:22
I think that this is the bleakest, most discouraging period in this clubs history. which is ironic considering where we thought things were heading 12-18 months ago. In summary the spending in summer ( and I'm not saying this retrospectively) was poor/ baffling to say least. from top to bottom the decisions have been shambolic. 4 weeks after sacking a manager, it's clear that they reacted on gut instinct and were not planning koemans possible sacking with any tactics/ philosophy. despite having plenty of time to plot his successor (like they should have been) . Now after doing a merry go round in the managers list it shows that the board is split/ rudderless and are spinning on their own axis. stinks of being clueless and of having no strategy. yet they are supposed to be business people. Blind men wandering around in the dark would have more direction. gutting.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - Can't you remember Walter Smith's time?}

28 Nov 2017 05:07:30
I can ed. but to me this is far worse. At that time Everton were garbage. but the club was running on fumes. fast forward to now. The club has better investment with sponsors and business partners, new stadium site/ plans evolving, they are developing youth nicely apparently, new majority share holder, biggest transfer spend ever. yet we have a club in disarray. Walter Smith never had it as good.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - And your're saying all that makes this a worse time for Everton than the late 90's and early 00's when the club was running on fumes and finishing in the bottom half of the table for 3/4 years on the trot?
All that you need is a new manager and a minor reshuffle behind the scenes to move forward and doing that with the "better investment with sponsors and business partners, new stadium site/ plans evolving, they are developing youth nicely apparently, new majority share holder, biggest transfer spend ever" you mention will make that a lot easier.}

28 Nov 2017 10:48:20
Yes we can Ed 07 but we talking about the board and the board then did not have mega millions to spend and a new stadium about to be built .
Shame on them.

28 Nov 2017 11:49:43
For those who disagree, yes Everton under Smith were awful, but financially the club was running on fumes. considering all of the sponsors, business partners, money reinvested in squad. and the rumours this morning that allardyce. who we dodged 2 weeks ago. now needs convincing, and the fact that we are conceding goals left right and centre and performing terrible, and have had 2 chaps picking the team in the last 5 weeks. how can this not be the worst period in clubs modern history? They haven't gone backwards like spurs did a couple of years ago before bouncing back, the team is in free fall!

There are no guarantees, but Allerdice is the nearest to it for keeping us up, there is NOTHING more important than that. If we stay up with something to spear, a'm sure those that don't want him will say there was no need to bring him in, but i was at the wimbilbon game and never want to feel like that on the last day of the season ever again.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

27 Nov 2017 22:52:13
Jcw, i for one don't really want big sam, but if he keeps us up i won't say we did not need him, i am praying we stay up and will thank any manager who does that, on another note he's not squeeky clean but that's because he got found out, who is these days? And suppose can't be too bad a manager if england chose him, can he? let's hope we stay up and start our climb again, onwards and up.

Agree0 Disagree2

27 Nov 2017 21:06:56
We have two huge games coming up this week and I was convinced a new manager was going to be announced after the Southampton game especially after Moshri comment that a replacement was imminent.
I cannot see us getting a sniff without someone else in charge .
I think the players have completely switched off .
Don't expect much from Wednesday as things stand, so if we get no one in tommo it will mean praying for a miracle and hoping we get someone by Thursday as must be in by then to be able to have some bearing on the weekends game .

Believable1 Unbelievable0

27 Nov 2017 22:35:02
Even Big Sam is contemplating whether to come to us now. All this because of prevarication by whoever it is that makes the decisions at this Club. It cannot be a single person who has said right that's it, otherwise we would have had someone in weeks ago. And I most certainly do not believe that Mr Kenwright still wants Unsworth.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 20:19:29
If you would of asked me last month, I would of said no to big Sam.
Ask me now and all I know, that it can't be unsworth.
We need a leader and a strong manager! Is that big Sam? Not sure but if he is given the job then I will support him 100%.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

27 Nov 2017 20:07:14
I cannot believe the negative comments regarding Big Sam. I wonder if these are the same people who wanted Unsworth as manager! . need I say more # out of depth.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

27 Nov 2017 21:43:05
Can't believe you want him as our manager and no I didn't want unsworth or koeman for that matter but just remember all the club's he saved from going down actually went down after he left so going backwards is an understatement if we apoint him and if you want to support it then feel free but I can't.

Agree3 Disagree1

28 Nov 2017 01:54:58
So why is it Big Sam’s Fault that clubs go backwards after he’s left?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2017 04:59:22
Man u and Aberdeen went backwards after fergie left he must be a very poor manager as well.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 19:59:43
Seen yes and no for Sam, Rhino hasn't brought the best out of the players we have, best of what, roll on Jan, get rid of, Baines, Jags, Lennon, Miralles, and more, BUT, do we have the pulling power to replace them, money talks Mr Moshri, put yer money in it for the Club, the Fans COYB.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

27 Nov 2017 21:31:04
Don’t forget Williams who must be the worst Centre half in the premier league 😫😫.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 22:02:31
Why would you get rid of Baines and Lennon?

Agree1 Disagree1

28 Nov 2017 06:16:45
January isn't a time to clear out players, certainly not the likes of Baines and Lennon. Although I do concede I couldn't care less if Williams, Mirallas or Schneiderlin ever kicked a ball for us again. The priority above all else in Jan is to sign a CB. If we can sort out our leaky defence we ca just about find enough goals to stay up with what we've got. If we can get a good striker that would be amazing. We also need to sign a back up left back (or register Garbutt somehow) . In the summer we can sort the rest out.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 19:55:22
I don't feel sorry for Unsworth, he picks the team and decides the tactics.
When you are shipping goals you need to protect the back four and make it more difficult to expose their frailties i.e lack of pace and amateurish spatal awareness and positioning.
This requires a disciplined type of defensive midfielder - a Lee Carsley type, to disrupt and get the opposition committing earlier.
What cannot be tolerated is players going awol by strutting around the pitch and not being prepared to bust a gut to recover their position.
Rhino is there to call the tune and if the players are not responding substitute them!
To set up as he did at Soton was evidence that he and his coaching staff are out of their depth. To play a winger as a number 10 and a number 10 as a wide man is beyond belief.
These guys have played at the top level but it isn't reflected in the tactical understanding of football fundamentals.
The team should be made to pay the expenses of the loyal supporters who made the trip to the south coast on Sunday.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

27 Nov 2017 19:38:16
Let's be sensible here now guys! Half the posts on here lately have been 'this is our year to go down', 'we're heading for the championship' etc. So if it has to be a sour pill to swallow and fat Sam Allardyce comes in and saves us! Then so be it! I'd rather have a guy come in and us lot not like him and save us than accept defeat and go to the championship. Let's look at the bigger picture here guys and be realistic. If he's what it takes to stop the rot and save our premier league status then sign the fat man up!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I think the critical thing is expectations and managing them. Everton were never going to get in to the Champions League next season regardless of Moshiri. Moshiri is a businessman and not a football guy - his efforts should be on infrastructure and planning a managable way forward. Not on looking up coaches on Wikipedia and phoning round. When a club is in the position to restructure and get a boost up they need good advice. And remember the money coming in for PL clubs is very, very high. I explained much of this over the summer. I don't want to say it but I see this as a throw away year for Everton and the club just need to settle in to 12th and have a better plan going forward.}

27 Nov 2017 20:30:46
Honestly, I just want us to play competitive football that is an entertaining 2 hour episode once or twice a week.

Mid-table results pushing to break into the top seven (like the Moyes era) must seeming like a delightful dream now.

Ed002,I don't suppose you're up for the job at Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I can't face the drop in money.}

28 Nov 2017 01:17:39
I wholeheartedly agree with Ed02. Forget everything else this season such as breaking into the top 4 or 6 and cup runs and qualifying for Europe etc. Get solid, get safe and work on building a cohesive team for 2018/ 19. If Sam/ whoever can achieve that I'll be happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 22:03:12
Ed002. Lot's of talk but surely this Allardyce thing is it now and he won't say no?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The driver is the length of contract.}

27 Nov 2017 22:12:59
I agree with you Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 19:12:52
Maybe people can clarify this. Big Sam kept palace up last season but left. Did he not say he left to retire and look after his health? Why would he come to us for a million times the stress he would have had at palace?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - money...or money...or money geoff they are my 3 guesses..

27 Nov 2017 19:17:07
Completely agree ed but he must be loaded already. Plus he been offered West Brom job apparently. Just strange why he is thinking coming back after worrying about his health.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - money =power geoff and even the likes of messi, ronaldo et al are always looking for a pay rise mate...greed has no celing im afraid

27 Nov 2017 19:05:42
So Morgan says all the players have to work hard and pull together. So what happened yesterday Morgan? I will watch with interest at the West Ham game, expecting a MOTM performance now. We shall see.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

27 Nov 2017 21:03:36
Hopefully he ain't on the pitch let alone MOTM.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2017 05:41:50
I would honestly give Schneiderin away for nothing to make a point. He's a disgrace, after the supposed training incident to laughing while we're getting beat 5-1 by Atalanta. He's got some cheek, we don't need his kind in the dressing room or anywhere near the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 18:21:10
If Sam Allardyce is appointed just on a short-term contract (end of season) , then the players might treat him in the same casual way they appear to have reacted to caretaker boss Unsworth. Allardyce needs a longer contract so that the players know they can't get away with that.
Also, if Moshiri let's him spend money to bring in players, then - once the team is organised - he might actually recruit some real quality for the attacking areas. That depends, of course, on him and Walsh co-operating on transfer choices much more effectively than last Summer's unbalanced signings by Walsh and Koeman.
Finally, Moshiri and Kenwright (and the board in general) must show unity and back the appointment. No more briefings via favourite media sources that stir up more negativity and discord.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

27 Nov 2017 18:53:32
Sam not soft, he knows he has us by the balls, 3 years he will get? he is the only man I know who can talk rubbish and eat a packet of crisp at the same time, lol.

Agree3 Disagree1

27 Nov 2017 18:14:28
Sorry but if it's Sam then it will be the biggest mistake everton have made in there history and FM will loose all credibility with me . Sam may well keep everton up but at what cost to the club and a don't mean money it will be the biggest backwards step in the club's history and I for one will not be stepping foot inside goodison again.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

27 Nov 2017 18:31:11
If it is him Skylark then I think we have to give him a chance and get behind the team. Will not be my favorite appointment but managers come and managers go and we supporters are in it for life.

27 Nov 2017 18:36:35
At least you guys won the transfer window though.

Agree0 Disagree2

27 Nov 2017 18:56:58
We didn’t choose him as our 1st choice pick IMO I think he’ll turn us down to get one back over on us!

Agree0 Disagree1

27 Nov 2017 19:23:54
Can I have your season ticket?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 20:13:25
Walsh should have been sacked with Koeman. No replacement for Lukaku. If we waited until we had a replacement we probably could have got 100M plus for Lukaku as he transfer window became silly after Neymar sale - see next point and Sigurdsson price. We didn’t need three number 10s. One is a blue but past his best. Sentimental but he’s on 140-150k a week allegedly. Second is from Dutch league and looks at best like needs a season to adjust in a team doing well at worst completely out of his depth and will never make it. Third was a decent player but paid twice as much as we should have done. oh in case anyone forgot we’ve got a boyhood blue who is prob better with more potential than all three but Koeman shattered his confidence. We’ve got Luke Garbutt but not registered to play for first team so no Left back cover. Sandro never a number nine to replace Lukaku. Keane looking very ropey this season. Hopefully just confidence. Pickford looks good. I could go on but you get the drift. What exactly is our director of football on 1M a year allegedly directing!
He recommends Allardyce and Shakespeare as the dream team to the board. Oh an by the way he goes on holiday with Shakespeare. Nepotism. Job for his mates at EFC. It’s a farce in my opinion. Rant over!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - good rant though jack..

27 Nov 2017 21:17:41
I'm sure you will find that neither fat Sam nor Shakespear have been invited to join the board.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 21:46:27
But we’re led to believe by media that Walsh is the one pushing for Allardyce and Shakespeare from the off in Moshri’s ear. Maybe nonsense. Maybe true. I honestly would like to know the remit of Walsh’s job.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Nov 2017 01:09:33
Carry on from some people is a joke! Won’t step foot in Goodison again? Grow up! All this crap about being ashamed to be a blue! Proper scouses don’t chat bubbles like that so you won’t be missed. I support Everton through thick and thin and feel no shame for anything, just want the mess sorting and a smile back on me face, don’t care how it’s achieved.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 18:04:52
Well if it is Allardyce and maybe Shakespeare then Walsh will have gotten his way so maybe he will stay. Not a great combination I would think. Ed002, have always valued your input, what do you think about this possible team?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - if it is going to happen there will likely need to be a two and a half year contract, and that might well be a sticking point. But I would trust SA to get the defence organised and get Everton out of their immediate trouble. He is also a strong character and more of a manager who does some coaching so should be able to hold his own. If he does arrive then I would expect CA to come in as head coach. SA will also want to sort the squad out a bit in January.}

27 Nov 2017 18:25:13
Ed002 - I agree with your comments. By the way, do you mean CS rather than CA as head coach?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

27 Nov 2017 18:26:28
Thanks Ed002.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome Mike.}

27 Nov 2017 18:27:00
If we are going down that route would 100% rather go with Shaun Dyche he shown he can build a team and also plan for the future with him spending incoming transfer money on the academy he fits the job more than Big Sam and would rather pay big money for him now rather than pay Big Sam a fair few million in 12 months.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I agree but Burnley will not want to lose their manager part way in to the season.}

27 Nov 2017 18:38:33
Agreed ed I cannot believe it has come to this ed it’s a real shock and am sorbto say that fans need to take some blame too we forced them into sacking Martinez and it was going the same way with koeman. The club needed time to challenge the top 6 create some foundations then build on them. But now look at us running round like our defence off the pitch no cue and no direction if we do appoint Big Sam we can expect Steve Walsh to stay in his dof role as it’s been stated for The 5 weeks Big Sam is his choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 18:56:21
It will be interesting to see what he does with a bigger budget. can't think of another club where he'd have been backed as much?

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 18:58:05
If Everton were really interested in Dyche - and if reports of his “compensation amount” were correct - then surely he’d have been appointed as manager weeks ago. I can only imagine that our chairman or major shareholder or a “recruitment advisor” has decided that Dyche is absolutely not the man for the Everton manager’s position - but what that reason could be is a complete mystery to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 19:03:15
Not even Palace took Dyche on. Something not right.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 21:59:25
Don’t forget Walsh and Shakespear were vital to Leicester winning the prem 2 seasons ago doing the jobs there good at.

27 Nov 2017 17:47:02
Tbh I got so many mixed feelings about big Sam as manager.
He was ahead of his time when with Bolton, prozone, fitness etc. But seems to have gained a reputation for long ball but they played some good stuff.

Never really given a chance at a big club like us, with all respect to Newcastle (we have more trophies in our cabinet)

I just don't know whether to be happy or sad if he is appointed. Think we all just need ro give him a chance and get behind him (Or whoever is appointed) and make it fortress goodison again.

28 Nov 2017 09:30:23
Big club.
We haven't been a big club since we sold Garry Steven and Trevor Sephens a continuous downward spiral.

27 Nov 2017 17:35:30
Well with the news about Big Sam it's going to be a busy 24/ 48 hours for us blues constantly checking the internet, i for one don't want him I think it's a step down but we need him it's as simple as that we have no fight no desire we've given up. The only thing is are we as Evertonians going to be happy with Sam passed this season is he the man to lead us up the table to challenge on every front, yes he will give us stability but we should be striving for the best for this club it's so hard being a blue at the moment bet we all walked into work today and got abit of stick, and if we appoint Sam we will get stick for that I just think our club needs to sort itself out look at itself in the mirror and remember what it use to be we need change from the top to the bottom we need first and foremost a leader in charge Moshiri step up and Bill step down, Walsh become chief scout not Dof and then start to look at other areas but make us great again because at the moment we aren't even average. We all dream about Wembley visits challenging for titles and Europe well one day they will all be back maybe just maybe big Sam coming is the start of that wether he can take us there is another matter I will support this club till my dieing breath hopefully fingers crossed I will get to see the real Everton again before that happens we need to stay strong blues and Wednesday night let the club know we are here.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

27 Nov 2017 19:05:24
'Make Everton great again', sounds like a certain USA dictator haha. Only joking though lee agree with everything you said, Walsh should do what his forte is which is apparently scouting, Kenwright should at least take a hands off approach and FM should hire professional advisers to hire qualified people to do the jobs needed and stop employing ex blues out of sentiment.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 17:29:51
relegation battle were in get sam in now can't believe i'm saying this but we need him and we need to back him or were going down simple as that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

27 Nov 2017 17:04:36
Do you think Sam will bring Paul Bracewell with him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Or Craig Shakespeare.}

27 Nov 2017 17:48:01
It would be nice to see Brace back at the club but Shakespeare does appear to be his first choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 17:58:17
Hopefully somewhere in the backroom. Could do with him showing the rest About showing passion for your team.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 17:01:48
Got to admit I'm happy about Sam. Never thought I would be but after watching our beloved club go downhill I think he will do well for us. Got to remember he has never managed a club with the financial clout we have and it's the biggest job he is going to ever get offered. He will try his best for us and want to prove people wrong.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

27 Nov 2017 16:55:26
Cant say i'm Allardyce's biggest fan, but like anyone, he should be given a chance to succeed or fail like anybody else.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

27 Nov 2017 16:51:58
I'm not his biggest fan but after watching us this season and the position were in, just go and apoint Allardyce, we need to organise this team from back to front starting with defence, he is a master at that ok he is no Pep but we are not going to be in champions league for 2 years min probably longer but I believe Allardyce is good enough to get us the best of the rest he is the safest option that you know he will sort them out, so give him a contract till end of season and then have a look on where we are.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

27 Nov 2017 16:51:15
If its Big Sam. and it looks highly likely. then let's get behind him and the players and secure our Premier league safety.
A very expensive recruitment process if he is going to get his 2 12 yr contract but let's be honest - if he is able to guarantee us premier league safety (and he is one of a few that can) then it will be worth it. because it looks really bad at the moment.
Pay him off in the summer/ 18 months time once he has stabilised the club.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

27 Nov 2017 16:13:11
If these allardyce rumours are true you're in for a busy night eds.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i know RIB, i have never wanted him him and am his harshest critic but something has got to change at this club and quick mate..

27 Nov 2017 16:59:23
I understand how you feel Ed025 but desperate times require desperate measures, and Allardyce left the door open he always spoke highly of the club and its supporters.
Unsy is a broken man in these few weeks and cannot change things, the ship needs steadying until January when more positive steps can be taken.
Complete mismanagement and reckless purchases have put us in this position, we look a shambles of a club and the media will be harsh in its reporting, we need to turn things around quickly!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 17:32:00
I agree with you Ed, but I believe this could be a good move considering our situation.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 17:34:03
Ed him will ruin our club this season he will save is but it’s the aftermath he leaves you with which is 99% knackered the academy players bye bye. Only hope is it’s only 6 month contract with Steve Walsh’s picks if it’s any longer than that I don’t see a future for our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 15:48:39
At the moment we are shocking. Look big Sam is not everyone 1st choice. But survival is needed this season; so give him the job for 3years (cough cough) see where he takes us. Then decide in the future to look at another manager.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

27 Nov 2017 16:10:47
If people equate Big Sam with desperation and survival, then Big Sam it is. If you're drowning and the most reprehensible man in the world tosses you a rope, you grab that rope. You don't drown on principle just because you don't like your rescuer.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you make a very fair point there NBITU..

27 Nov 2017 17:02:10
I know we are struggling at centre back, but isn't Sam a bit old to be playing there now?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 20:12:15
Great point New Blue. Wouldn't be my first choice if we had a choice but we're desperate, don't have a choice and need someone to bash some heads and get us playing with some fight and hard to beat. Like it or not, he's the right person for us right now. That said, wouldn't want him more than 18 months.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 15:25:20
its sam allardyce, we've crawled back to him cap in hand, tbf the best chance of survival with no gamble really. real shame.

27 Nov 2017 17:12:33
Some of us said 3 games ago that it is Big Sam or no one and that is not said in hindsight. Fed up of going over old ground. But listen/ read that Ed002 fella, he has hit the nail right on the head every time concerning this debacle. You cannot run a business without listening to other people, it just does not work. The result of I believe Mr Moshri's intransigence is Everton's reputation and good standing if not trashed it has taken a severe beating.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 15:06:04
As I predicted and was mocked. It's going to be Big Sam! . so all those who slated him and asked for Unsworth. Get behind him as now u can see Unsworth is well out of his depth.

I, No doubt like many of you, are absolutely baffled as to what has happened to our club.

Many are blaming the board, and some have given valid reasons why they think so, others have put the blame directly at the managers feet, again some have given valid reason for doing so.

Whilst I am not in favour of DU as our manager (only due to lack of experience) I do not see him as being the reason behind our current situation nor do I blame the board, after all they are actually looking for RK's replacement. Forget what you read in the rags about the board, DU or our pending new manager the only reason it is written is to sell the media they are written for.

To me the problem lays inside the "dressing room", there is something going on that is affecting the whole of the squad, something is adding confusion to the equation. I don't for a moment think it is intentional, but none the less it exists.

I have thought long and hard over what it could be, who could have that much influence over his fellow players, who because of his previous history could more than likely have an influence over DU.

The only player I can think of would be Wayne Rooney. Don't get me wrong here I am actually a big fan of his but I just can't help but think he may be interfering. Due to his pedigree at Man Utd and England could the younger, and even new, players be asking him what they should be doing and where. I mean with the success he has enjoyed it would take a foolish man not to listen to any advice he offers on the QT.

I am sure that IF, and I say IF because it is only a theory, this is what has thrown the dressing room in chaos and confusion, it would of been done for what he perceived to be the right reasons, he thought he was helping. One thing is for certain and that is the dressing room, for whatever reason, are not all on the same playing field as each other.

Sorry I have to disagree that you don’t blame the board as IMHO the buck stops with them .
Sadly we are in a business not a sport and if you had a business Grumpy Toffee you would not sack your manager without any plans of a ready replacement.
West Ham sacked their manager but had another lined up .
Coupled to that we sold Lukaku without anyone having signed .
It’s no good saying we thought we had a replacement.
You don’t sell your main asset without the new one already signed .
Liverpool have a abundance of strikers but still refused to let Coutinho go, same at Arsenal .
In my opinion you could even blame the board re Koeman as if you were able to look back at my posts I highlighted that his record as a manager left a lot to be desired .
I have never met a bunch calling themselves directors as bad as we have ever .
The communication to the paying fans is dire and as for Moshri constantly telling his mate Jim White what’s going on is embarrassing.
I really expected Moshri would be far more dynamic than he has been .
Is he in charge if so then ignore Bill and get things sorted
You can’t have two chiefs
How they got to were they are is a miracle given how they managing Everton .
I have been going to Goodison since 1959 and I am HEART BROKEN .
On a separate note I think we have a big part to play .
I presently sit in the main stand up Park End way and all I can hear are the away supporters .
I use to stand in the Gladys St and we had men who organised the singing .
Now it’s like a damp squid and really boring chants that last just a few seconds .
I was really impressed with the support given to the Huddersfield players by their fans and we need that starting on Wednesday and as hard as it is we need to shout and support even more not less if WHU score not boo as we given nothing but joy to the visitors if we do
We must ensure out great club retains its record in the top flight .

I hear what you are saying Trebor but The board have no say at all in what team is picked nor do they choose what players to buy, that will be down to our DOF.

The fact we have no recognized striker does not mean we should allow our defensive play to be the worst in the premiership. We have let in more goals than any other team in the premiership, how will having a striker change that?

You mention that we should of had a manager lined up before sacking RK. So how does that work? do we conduct interviews in-between training sessions and hope he does not hear about it? As for Westham having DM already lined up is rubbish, are you suggesting that DM would of waited had Westham won the last game before sacking Slaven Billic?

Communication coming out of Goodison dire you say, If you have supported us since 1959 you will see it is a lot better than it used to be. Look at Man Utd when Fergie retired, nothing was coming out from them regards his successor only press talk, Same when DM was sacked by them, only press speculation until a successor was found. No football club will give you all the details of what they are doing day in day out regardless of who you are.

I get you do not like the board but to blame them for the fans being silent instead of blaming the players themselves is like being in self denial. At the moment there is very little to cheer about on the playing field as the players are playing like a bunch of school kids. The fans will cheer again when the players grow up and start playing to their potential or at least with some passion.

I know eds that there is much opposition to O'Neill coming in but he is a decent man manager, he does bring out the best in average players just look at Celtic. He turned their fortunes around when Rangers were dominant. I remember Ally McCoist turning around to Walter Smith saying "We're Fu**D" when he saw how charged up the Celtic players were. That was the beginning of the end of Rangers. Just look at Harrison a bang average player. Celtic managed that season to reach the UEFA cup final. So for all you Nettie's, asking what O'Neill has won, he won 3 league titles with Celtic at a time of Rangers dominance and a UEFA cup final.
I believe this is what we need at present. A manager, strong willed, tolerates no bull, and a good player motivator.

Moshri said on Friday that a new manager in a few days .
All I can say is this is about the normal
standard for Everton because I woke this morning and expected to see " news flash Everton have their man "
But still nothing, we or should I say the board are a total and utter shambles .
We are talking about high end business giants here, if they behaved like this with their businesses they be bankrupt.
It is extremely ironic that before we had " money " we were not the top but next in line and the money has actually turned out to be our undoing .
Like a lottery winner who's life is ruined!
I was on here in the season banging on about Koeman and Walsh and the board and predicting possible relegation but was laughed off but I could see the writing on the wall.
The crowd have got to really turn up on Wednesday, I know it's not easy but look how superb the Huddersfield fans were against City and also West Ham on Friday night so we have a part to play but the board are not helping up or the team
If they don't get someone in today chances are we will loose Wednesday and if it drags on we will struggle v Huddersfield.
These teams don't have great players but do have organisation and team spirit oh and a decent manager .
I still hate Moyes for what he did but even he would have been of some use as you can see by their performance v Leicester.
Get this sorted NOW or as Fraser said in Dads Army WERE DOOMED.

I know people have rightly mentioned Lennon for his work rate but I feel Gylfi deserves a mention, he's being played out of position but he's given nothing but his best since he's been here, he's worked very hard every game, hasn't worked for him (or anyone else for that matter) but I can tell he loves the club, people can lambast him for not scoring enough or whatever but in terms of work rate I think he's been excellent.

We need players who will run for the cause Swan and i agree he is doing that. Quite why Unsworth came out and said what he did about Sandro and then never even give him a minute on the pitch baffles me. Sandro playing would have meant Southampton would have had to sit deeper.
Schneiderlin again on the pitch. Why? Beningime and Vlasic have shown more in a couple of games than Schneiderlin has all season.

27 Nov 2017 10:32:48
I also think in hindsight Koeman would have fixed the problem. I don't think he would have kept the run that Unsworth has endured (engineered) , Unsworth has done far more messing about with selections than Koeman ever did. But your point yes Benitez in a heartbeat but would he come to us. Papers are now saying AVB, would rather have O'Neil to tell the truth. Bit haphazard this post, 'hangover'.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Nov 2017 09:40:51
If you were running your own big business, facing problems and needed to find a top manager, probably the best place to look is the opposition and appoint the best you can get. You don't say I won't appoint him because he was employed by so and so, you appoint him because of his skills, experience etc. Today running a football club is not only a sport but is very big business so sentiments have to be put to one side. A year or two ago I was against Benitez but now in favour.

In the boardroom, does Walsh have any influence in Manager recruitment? We have Kenwright and Moshiri. Is this a matter of too many chiefs pulling in different directions

Looking at Rooney yesterday he had a face 'like thunder' so would like to know what was going through his head.

These players can’t be fixed by a new Manager, something must of gone terribly wrong in the preseason conditioning training, as we are not quick enough not strong enough and don’t have the legs to sustain a real fast tempo, can’t improve this season, in January we need to address this problem with several new signs.

Prepare yourselves.
Marco Silva won't be released by Watford.
If Sean Dyche was coming, he'd already have joined.
Martin O'Neill verbally agreed to stay with Ireland a while go.
Allardyce has already said he doesn't fancy it.
The big-name foreign coaches (Simeone, Ancelotti, Tuchel, Rangnick, etc. ) aren't interested.
Unsworth hasn't done enough to convince.
That just leaves one person from what's now supposed to be a three-man shortlist - wait for it - drum roll and trumpet fanfare - gasps from the Everton fanbase - sounds of jaws dropping all around Goodison - it's everyone's favourite defensive mastermind (apart from Allardyce) - Tony Pulis!
No doubt we'll dither as usual and he'll get snapped up by Swansea City or some other desperate club whose board panic about Premier League survival.
