Howard one of top 5 keepers in league
Jagielka one of top 5 centre halfs in league
Baines one of the top 5 attacking full back
Fellaini one of the top 5 defensive mid

Rodwell, Coleman, Barkley, Gueye, Vellios Young players with great potential.

Cahill, Osman, Distin, Heitinga, Hibbert... Most teams in prem (at least 15 teams) would love these 4 player's in there side

Drenthe. Potentially a world class piece of buisness from moyes.

Reason's to be cheerful lads.
I really think if moyes starts being a bit more positive in his selection, more so at home than away, we will finish easy 7th, and maybe push for the top 6, it's all down to how moyes starts approaching games.

We would all love 4-4-2 but even 4-5-1 used properly can be positive, its just how moyes sends the lads out to approach the game.

Howard
Neville or Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Baines

Coleman, Fellaini, Rodwell/Osman, Drenthe

Saha, Vellios/Cahill

I think this team with a attacking mind set from the off would beat most teams and get us into the top 6. Come on Moyes let the lads express themselves and go after teams !!
Going for a 1-0 in the derby......... SAHA

I think we all want a change of a approach to games, even in the games we won this year.... Blackburn we got lucky, Wigan, we were awful until final 10 when we had 2 strikers on the pitch and West Brom, we were worse until we pushed further up the field.
It seems to me that moyes sets the lads out to defend against the opposition and not let them score, and then when we do concede a goal, thats when he asks them to attack, we are constantly chasing a goal. WE ARE EVERTON ffs we should be going at teams especially at home. We have good player's If we employed braver tactics we would shine. Rodwell and Fellaini are more than capable of protecting the back four, allowing the likes of Coleman, Drenthe, Cahill, Saha to attack the opposition defense. Don't know why we dont do it

Looking forward to King Kenny and the proper footballer's coming over to your shed of a ground and showing you how to use the ball and attack.... might take a while to get past your back line of 8 players but we will !!!!!!
Have a nice time this season in the bottom 5 and hope you look forward to losing more player's next summer, as if Baines, Jagielka, Fellaini and your young player's are going to stay after this season !! haahaa
YNWA..... Always in our shadow

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Always in the shadow of the mancs RS. Why don't you give the donkey a run out on Saturday...throw a saddle on him, it's the only way he'll ever start paying the 35 mil back. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree5 Disagree2

How sad !

Agree4 Disagree2

How deluded are liverpool fans !!? There team is weak and they haven't played anyone yet, there only test has been Arsenal who had half a team out and Stoke, they scored a lucky goal at arsenal and got beat by stoke.
They need to realize that there not in the top 4 teams anymore they are battling for top 6 like Tottenham, Everton, Aston Villa and probably now Stoke are. That's it. Get over yourselves.

Agree3 Disagree2

What a nobhead - bet he's got a really sad life, so cheers himself up with this rubbish - get a grip and get a life

Really think we need to keep hold of the likes of Fellaini and Barkley, could realistically see Barkley being a future captain for us and one of the main players for the next 10 15 years i we keep hold of him!

1] THEN the twenty years of plenty came to an end, and twenty years of famine set in.

2] The land was barren, and nothing flourished, and no glory came upon the Kopites.

3] And the Kopites saw the glory of their neighbours to the east, the Devil-Worshippers, and they saw the wealth of the Philistines in the south, who were Muscovites from the house of C.h.a.v.

4] Then the Kopites suffered bitterly, and grievously did they pity themselves.

5] And the people came unto the Lord, wailing and rending their garments, which were made from shells.

6] And the Lord said, "Why are you come before me, crying and wailing? Wherefore do you rend your garments that are made from shells?"

7] And the people cried, "Behold, O Lord, we suffer bitterly, like.

8] For Thou hast brought wealth upon the Philistines, and glory to the Devil-Worshippers up the road; but in Thy anger Thou hast forsaken us Kopites, what were once blessed in Thy sight and that."

9] But the Lord replied, "How is it that have I have forsaken you, when I have poured such bounty upon your heads?"

10] But the people looked about them and saw no riches, nor the shining trophies of battle. And they protested unto the Lord, "Where is this bounty then, O Lord, of which Thou fuchen speakest?"

11] And the Lord replied, "Yea, the bounty of the Lord is as the rain, that is drained into the sands of the desert. For it is all gone on the likes of Bruno Cheyrou."

12] But the people wept, and they no longer had faith in the Lord, and banished him from their sight.

13] And the Lord went from that place, and two new Lords came from far away in the West.

14] And the new Lords said that They would lead the people to salvation.

15] Then the people bent over before them, and were overjoyed, and they raised their voices in praise, saying, "We're proper sorted now, la. We're gonna win the league."

16] Now it had come to pass in this time that they greatly exalted the prophet Raphael, who was their leader.

17] For under his rule they fought a battle of many nations, and in the land of Lud they strove against the Berlusconians.

18] And lo, though they were almost destroyed, they fought back and vanquished the enemy, thanks to Stevie G.

19] Then the Kopites made an idol of Raphael, and cried out that he was the saviour, and by his mighty sword they would come forth from the land.

20] But in the end they came fifth.

21] When they saw that the might of the Kopites was nigh restored, all the tribes trembled.

22] But the King of the Devil-Worshippers did not tremble: he was crafty, and in his wisdom he sent a madness upon Raphael.

23] Then Raphael became as a man who dreams, speaking in tongues and seeing visions.

24] And he squandered the wealth of the people on lame and useless servants.

25] For he brought to their camp men such as El Zhar and Ngog, Degen and Bar-Ragan. And he brought Yossi the Israelite, who had settled west of the land of Ham; and Babel, in whose name men built a tower.

26] And he brought many, many more.

27] And soon Raphael feared to venture forth, lest he be vanquished, but exhorted his servants only to defend the camp.

28] Then all the tribes came to loathe the Kopites, because they were so boring.

29] So the people came before the two Lords and said, "Why don't Ye giz some ackers to Raphael, that he may bring further glory to the people?'

30] And the Lords replied, "Behold, we have given him millions and millions of shekels. But in his madness, he spent it on Glen the son of John, and Aquilani the Roman. And lo, he squandered it on Josemi. Now the bounty of the Lords is gone, for he hath spunked it on absolute garbage."

31] But the people were not satisfied, and they wrote screeds of righteous indignation, and kept saying things about 'net spend'.

32] So the Lords cast out Raphael, and sent for the prophet Roy, renowned for his steady hand and his outstretched arm and his good relations with the press.

33] But the people were in mourning for Raphael: they loved him greatly and pitied him. And they did pity also themselves.

34] For they were blind to his madness, seeing only his triumph against the Berlusconians years before.

35] And Roy was an old man, and the Kopites lost countless battles.

36] And the people went berserk, and threatened to come into the house of the Lords and do Them harm.

37] And it came to pass that They were skint, and soon the moneylenders drove Them from the temple.

38] And so yet another Lord came among the Kopites, and he sacrificed Roy and sent for the old King who had lead the Kopites a full score years before.

39] Then the people rejoiced, and cried, "Right, this time we are pure fuchen sorted, la. We're gonna win the league."

40] And there was much laughter across the land.

LOVE IT! Nice one!
LFC - crappy club - crappy fans - can't bare not being any good any more.

Given they amount of money they turn over it would be pretty much physically impossible for them to come any lower than about 8th, even if Ken Dodd was manager, so they really are bumping along at their rock bottom - but hey, Everton came one lower than them last season, having spent 100-200 million less, and they're happy with that - ha harrrr.

Everton fans - more rounded people who didn't just pick their team cos they were winning - so we can handle not winning and we still love our club (despite league being unfairly rigged) - but Liverppol fans can't handle it can they? They just can't handle it at all.
LOL!

That is by far the best and funniest post i have ever read !!!!!!

hi arsenal fan here,
iv noticed that u lot have started the season well compared to previous seasons and the way u lot usually improve as the season goes on do u lot think u could maybe suprise us all and get 4th.
iv always liked everton and i hope if arsenal dont get 4th (I dont think we will) thn u do.
P.s hope u beat liverpool at the weekend and thx for arteta

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Your welcome about arteta, he is quality, went stale at everton and there was player's performing better than him so i think even though technically he was are best player on paper he wasn't our best performer over 2 years. I think he will be great for arsenal with the way they play football.
As for us finishing in the top 4, it's a long shot, we have a small squad but we will compete, can see the squad suffering towards the end of the season and probably finishing around 7th.

my team for derby would be

howard
hibert jags distin baines
rodwell felani cahill
osman velios drenth

effectivly 4 3 3
the midfield would have real steel like the defence and good attacking options with players on form saha coleman and barkley as back up what do you think

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I would love to see this team mate, but cant see moyes doing that it will more than likely be the same team as city, maybe saha in for cahill

Agree1 Disagree0

If we play 4-3-3 I'd play:

Howard
Hibbert. Jags. Distin. Baines

Coleman. Feli. Barkley

Osman. Veli. Drenthe {Ed025's Note - good side that pal, but if we play 4-3-3 on saturday.....i will show my bare arse, in john colliers window!..

Agree1 Disagree0

This would be good or the 4 3 3 i posted it used to be the norm to have a 5 man midfield against the scum but KK,s lot are weak and ready to be exposed especially the defence. I,ll see you in john colliers if there still open. thgfest

We are only 3 points clear of the bottom 3! With the run of fixtures we have coming up we could easily be rock bottom if we perform like we did at city! The weekends game is a must win for me! Would take us back in to the top hlf and also above liverpool (which is a bonus). We cant afford to drop too many points! We shoud beat liverpool, get a draw agains chelsea beat fulham and whatever we get against united would be a bonus, come on moyes the time for the cautious approach has ended we have good attacking players so lets use them! Coyb!

Did anyone hear Gary Nevilles analysis of the Everton game before the Norwich match last night? He said that Jags should not have attempted the block on Balotellis shot to give Howard a better view of it! Is it just me or is that just a load of rot?! Just get out of the way of shots??! Apparently Schmeichel would have gone mad if he'd done that. Schmeichel used to go mad if he had to make a save at all! Gary, bless him, even demonstrated how Jags should have done it... He stood up in the studio and simply lunged forward... funny as f**k. Defending 101. Never thought I'd say it but bring back Andy Gray!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I didn't like Gary Neville as a player he done my head in, but i have to disagree with you, i think he is a decent pundit who makes sense and is honest, i also like the way he is not up the top 4 arse's like all the other pundits are !

Agree1 Disagree1

You must be talking about a different Gary Neville. He'll be talking about a team and then all of a sudden he'll be talking about Manchester United and how great they are! Just watch next time he's on.

Agree3 Disagree0

Let's be honest here, Man Utd are a brilliant team

Agree0 Disagree1

Fair enough mate, ive only saw his analysis twice so il see the next time he is on. He seems decent to me though, better than some of the other's he knows his football like, you can't deny that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone would have a good team if they had 50 trillion to spend like United and City - big deal - it's just a business game now
Everton is probably the best pound for pound club in the country, but there's no prizes for that the way the league is rigged nowadays - it's no longer a reasonably fair competition.

Compare our 'big wallet' competition with American Football in (capitalist) USA - where they rotate the draft so that lesser clubs get better players - and the glory gets shared around a bit.
A much better way of doing it - although it wouldn't work here - but at least we could try to make it more even

This UEFA run competion has ruined the English league.

Hello everton fans, I am a Leeds fan, i don't know why but i can't stand liverpool and there fans, there so arrogant one minute then the next they are slagging there whole team off, even the great King Kenny, winds me up, i work with a few reds and they annoy me, no idea why !
Just want to say, i really, really hope everton attack liverpool because they have a very weak defense, and although everton are being very cautious in games that ive watched so far, its a derby so the players wil attack due to the fans demands come kick-off ! Im praying u guys hammer them, you should keep your 4-5-1 formation but play with a striker, probably a fit Saha, im reading a lot of comments complaining about 4-5-1 but when i have watched everton they play well with that formation when it is used right anyway
