Still buzzing from last night - 6 hour round trip for 6,500 fans. What else can I say - this club is a proper club and i am so proud to be a blue. Don't know about anyone else but this trip and result goes into the memory bank that will last for ever - special night. The journey for me back was a dream - seeing all those headlights snaking down the M/62 through the roadworks for miles, all the blues going crazy in scotch corner services - fantastic! - long live Moyes - hats off too you! coyb luv u x

ed, i was impressed with Gueye yesterday and Jelavic they were great but the whole team was quality. i think we could of won 3 or 4 nil if we had Drenthe playing do you think we'll sign him permanently ed ? cheers Dan {Ed013's Note - Agree with what you say, I was impressed with the team performance. Jelavic should have scored 2 or 3, but with more time he will be a class player with a great shot on him. I would say Everton are in a commanding position to sign Drenthe on a permanent basis dependent on whether Real want to sell and if other big European clubs don't come in for him}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's out of contract so it's irrelevant if Real want to sell. Whether Moyes would want him in his current guise (party animal, going to ground on the pitch too easily, not always willing to come back to defend) together with who else comes in for him will be the deciding factor. I think he'd be a good acquisition but will have to alter his ways hugely. BlueTone

Great performance last night all played well Jelavic is just the striker we need powerful can score with both feet and hold the ball up I think he can score 20 goals a season for us and as for Gibson may not set the world alight but sits there and lets the others around him play to there strengths like fellini

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Cheers mate. We were awesome. We have a much better side than the red s***e. I hope that we finally show them this. Just hope they dont pay the ref off like they usually do against us

What a performance, attitude, passion, hunger, it was all there, every ball was chased and competed for, and in Jelevic i feal we have someone the team knows can get them goals.

But my hat has to go off to Gueye, i havnt been one of his greatest supporters, i alway thought he had great skill and potential but lacked that something to take him to the next level, well last night he was savage, both attacking and defending and he showed a maturity beyond his years in often finding the simple pass!

So roll on Wembley! i know the redsh... will go in as favorites, and so what!! so heres to all the red s**t... who are obsesed with our page WE DONT FEAR YOU ANYMORE, i bet everyone of them are terrified of us, because we have that something special at our club that no money can buy!! What is it? who knows but its there, you could feel it last night and you could hear it in the 6000 fans who sang for start to finish and then all the way home!!

COYB follow the jelevic road

Kurajan

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Totally agree. What we have as fans is the gratitude that we were selected to follow this great club. A special calling Which gives us the desire to follow this club no matter what.

Our reward? - calling ourselves Evertonians - who would want to be called anything else.

Help me out guys, not got a season ticket, what is my chances of Wembley tickets

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well all season ticket holders are guarenteed a seat so if you no someone who has one and cant go the match you be best asking them could they get you a ticket and you give them the money or you could just wait until they go on general sale but you have to be very quick.
Good Luck anyway!

phil neville AMAZING LAST NIGHT.when everton were under pressure last night he nearly knocked there flying left winger out [ who he had in his pocket all night ] then while everyone started fighting over his assault he just calmly kept out of way loads of players got booked except him he got all the threats but just kept calm time was wasted and sunderland lost there momentum ..he does this kind of stuff which he must have learned at united all the time ..so phil thank you ..

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Amazing elbow into mccleans face you mean! he has always been a cheat, fellini was excellent for you though and Jelavic looks like a good striker, but you deserved everything, we never got going and made mistake after mistake

Agree0 Disagree0

Behave Mclean grabbed his face when Neville caught him in the chest. As for a thug try Catermole that lad is shocking wouldn't mind if he could play a bit

Agree0 Disagree0

Elbow ? Pretty sure it was his shoulder, plus all the sunderland players were making the most out of every tackle, sessegnon, cattermole, mcleane, bardsley, larsson and bentdner are all cheats

Agree0 Disagree0

Elbow? Shoulder more like! You have the cheek to slag off our players, when your captain is one of the dirtiest players i have ever seen in the Premier League. Lead by example hey!! You were out played by a better team.

Alastair {Ed025's Note - it was a shoulder ally...i think the guy is looking for a reason as to why they did not perform mate, well i can tell you that it was because of how well we played, it was a complete performance..

Agree0 Disagree0

No excuses we were terrible. You lot were fanatstic-as good as anyone I've watched at the SOL this season. I think my man above is just pointing out that your fellow fan is seemingly celebrating the fact that Neville deliberately smashed his shoulder into our players face. Not saying it had any impact on the game or the result because it didn't. As for bringing Cattermole into it-the difference is I can guarantee Catts would have been shown a red whether it warrented it or not. Congratualtions on the win and good luck for the next round! {Ed025's Note - cheers mate, its nice to hear praise from a team who have lost!, good sporsmanship is very rare these days, but your guys have been very noble in defeat...respect..

Oh what a night....I was at th SOL last night with a march of 7,000 fans, we were all terrific and its the best atmosphere ive tasted in years, the team were like warriors and all our fans were immense and we sang our hearts out for the full match...the club for laying on travel, the players and all the fans need a big pat on the back, we were terrfic last night, roll on wembley and a full team out this time against the s**te..COYB , IMWT...

Firstly congratulations to all the fans that went to the game last night. I unfortunately had to watch from the comfort of my front room. All i could hear on the TV was our fans, atmosphere sounded fantastic. Tell me ma me ma......

Secondly, the players!! Every single one of them played out of their socks, dead proud of all of them. Games like that remind me why i support Everton!

I think Ossie was superb last night and Jelavic ran himself into the ground. Yes he could have scored a couple more, but he is getting in the positions to score and that's what we have been crying out for. Roll on the 14th!

Hows this for a bet I done last night - tenner everton to win two nil and Jelavic last goal - Odds 55/1, so when the own goal went in I launched my betting slip across the pub, rolled into work this morning and one of the lads has said own goals do not count in first/last goal bets so my bet should count. God I hope he is right as goin the bookies in two hours to find out, coulda done with having the slip on me though. Wish me luck

I think the whole team did us proud
last night.

But as I undestand it the club layed on coaches for everyone to go up and we had 7,000 fans there according to ITV.

So a big hand to everyone who was involved in tha.
That's some organising!

A few of the outstanding performers last night
In my opinion
Jonny, Distin, Gibbo, Feli, Timmy H,
Timmy C, Jelly, Mags, Bainsey, Ossie,.
and Phil Neville, oh and Denis and Jags when they came on.
Moysie and the the travelling fans.

So Happy and still smiling

Ed are Liverpool in Europe because they won't the carling cup? if so does that mean were in Europe already? Chelsea and spurs are basically already in {Ed025's Note - they are in europe, but i dont think that the semi-final will guarantee us a place, it will go on league placings i think..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

To get into Europe via the FA Cup, we will have to beat Liverpool in the Semi final (right now seems like a given :) ), and then of course we could win the FA Cup, but if we lose in the final, the winner (be it Spurs or Chelsea) need to have finished in the top 4 and gained Champs League qualification.

So of course, the easiest way is to just win the damn cup.

Jelavic Is Qualityyyyyyyy, cant wait to see him next season, Gueye played very well lastnight considering the amount of playing time he gets, HEITINGA = One of the best centre halfs in the league, and big Tim has played great the last 3 games Woop. All's we need in the summer is Pienaar back permanent, Drenthe permanent, Cover for Left back(Pranjic) and a Striker(Kevin Doyle, Roddallega, Kalou or Vossen?) COYB!!!! Beat Kenny's Donkeys At WEMBLEY And We Get Europe !!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Why do we need another striker? We have Jelavic, who you even said is quality. Maybe if the right deal is there.

For me, priority has to be creativity in the midfield and wingers, Pienaar and Drenthe would be very good signings as they fill both categories and could get both for about 3mil.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need another striker because if Jelavic gets injured were back to square one

Agree0 Disagree0

Pienaar is a must... Next signing and the sooner we do it the better. Drenthe worries me a bit. Love his playing style but he's obviously rocking the boat. Since team/club spirit is what we're known for i think he may be too negative, his wages may be high too... For me, first player after Pienaar if we could would be Landon Donovan. I don't know how it works in USA and how much they would want for him, he's 30 so he would hardly be huge money. £7m max? Firm offer, he'd surely consider it? He'd give us creativity, goals, work rate, passion... the players and supporters already love him. Any other money should be spent on him IMO.

Well done the lads tonight, very good performance. But I would not get carried away Sunderland were awful and I no we had a big part to play in that. Jelavic and Cahill put in great shifts. Neville best game this season showed all his experience in keeping McClean quite. Fellaini and Gueye played well in parts. Osman outstanding man of the match for me. He was absolutley shattered at the end. Gibbo had a quite first half but very good second half. Distin, Heitinga and Baines were very solid with Howard a virtual spectator. Moyes needs to keep the same eleven with the same tatics in the semi final. Needs to start like tonight and go at the redshxte and keep it going like tonight even if we score early. Very Good tonight but I think we can play even better which we might have too to go all the way. If we get to the final and I know its a big if, but I believe we will would much rather get Chelsea than Spurs. Anyway great night. Now bring on the redshxte. COYB.

Dero Irish Blue {Ed025's Note - you say sunderland were awful dero...we made them look awful mate, for me , that was a complete performance, it was quality high tempo football with a touch of steel....by the way.. the performance of the supporters was outstanding!..

Partnerships is what makes our team, pienaar n baines, johnny n distin, felli n gibbo... And now Cahill and jellyman

J0hn80y

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Think Cahill is thriving on the partnership with Jelavic, and has been brilliant for the past couple games. It seems, not only did we sign a striker capable of scoring the 15-20 goals a season in Jelavic, but we also regain the dangerous Timmy Cahill, which is a massive bonus.

Performance of the season. Thank you Everton, thank you David Moyes. It's a beautiful game.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I think the 2nd half of the Swansea match and this match, have been our best play of the season, in terms of football and creating chances etc, and who wouldve thought it would be when we are missing Drenthe, who is without doubt our most talented and creative footballer.

Agree0 Disagree0

You have got to be kidding I would have Pienaar and Baines and even Ossie over Drenthe any day of the week!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Drenthe has like 4 goals and 10 assists, and he has been used sparingly. That is a magnificent return, and on his day, he is simply brilliant.

Would rather see him in a sort of free role though playing off the striker, because defensively he is very poor.
